  HIRE LUCAS NOW! You won't regret it.

  We knew we needed to hire Lucas after our first call with him. He immediately understood the disco-funk music style we wanted at our wedding and his enthusiastic energy was contagious.
  
  I had told a friend of mine in the NYC music scene that we hired Lucas and he said that he is the best and we were in good hands. He was absolutely right. Lucas knows how to control the dance floor! Each song blended into the next so smoothly. People were avoiding going to the bathroom and barely anyone touched our dessert because they didn't want to stop dancing.
  
  Everyone was feeling the music, from our 11-year-old cousin to our 80-year-old aunts. People were pulling out some impressive moves that I'm not sure they knew they had. I even crowd surfed!
  
  Definitely hire Lucas if you want your wedding to be an epic dance party. You won't regret it.

  Simply The Best

  Lucas is simply the best. He made our wedding day so effortless. He not only took care of all the audio needs but he also coordinated the lighting rental, install, and break down for us. The lighting looked amazing, all of the cues were spot on, and the vibes were outstanding. Everyone always says the day will be a blur, and it certainly was, we only had a few real moments to chat with Lucas but from the very first phone call we knew we were in great hands. Despite only chatting briefly on the day, it felt like we had worked together before. Lucas made everything easy and amplified how special the day was for us. I lost count of how many guests shouted on the dance floor, "This DJ is awesome!". I can't recommend him enough, hire him, you will not regret it.

  if u want your wedding to be a serious dance party hire DJ LUCAS!!

  DJ Lucas made our reception the party we had always dreamt of!
  Every single person (of all ages, generations, music tastes) was on the dance floor, the music was perfect the entire night, and we were told so many times by our guests that our DJ was incredible!! He listened to all of our requests for the type of music/party/vibe we had wanted and played all of our songs and kept the party going.
  We were also pretty specific with music/timing for our ceremony and he nailed it. He was also very helpful in getting all of the equipment set up and professional the entire night. The pre-wedding process was really easy and Lucas was super responsive the months leading up to our wedding. I'd definitely recommend him for a wedding, and for any kind of party you are trying to throw!

  We hired an incredible dj

  Lucas handled a corporate event for me in New York City. From the get-go he proved to be easy to work with and incredibly professional. As an event planner, I like my vendors to arrive early, have everything set up and tested in time so there are no hiccups during the event. Lucas kept to the schedule and was ready to go so I had nothing to worry about.
  
  More importantly, from the very first beat that reverberated through the room, it was evident that Lucas was a master at his craft. His ability to read the crowd and effortlessly transition between genres and eras was truly remarkable. Every song selection was spot-on. He kept everyone engaged and entertained throughout the night.
  
  I would highly recommend Lucas for anyone who wants a great DJ that can transform their event into an extraordinary experience.

  We've had Lucas in our venue, Rule Of Thirds, many times whether it's a wedding, large social gathering, or corporate function. While really knowing how to read the room, Lucas always gets the party going. As an Events professional myself, we've seen many DJ's come through our doors, but Lucas remains at the top of our preferred vendor list.

  Lucas was indispensable

  I actually can't envision my wedding without Lucas Walter providing the sound track from the pre-reception cocktail through to the bitter end of the after party. His choices, tempo, cadence, intuitions, ability to read the room, respond, and ULTIMATELY ELEVATE was such a key component to me and my now wife having the best night of our lives. And the reason it came together so immaculately, I have to believe, is because of the time and effort he put into the pre-wedding preparation. Multiple zooms, surprising suggestions, structuring questionnaires — it all added up to a level of confidence and comfort Amanda and I had going into such an incredibly high stakes 8 hours of celebration. I cannot overstate how front to back indispensable Lucas was. 10 out of 10 would I recommend him to others looking to make their weddings truly the best day of their lives.

  Best DJ!!!

  Lucas was the highlight of our wedding! Everyone was on the dance floor the entire reception, exactly what we wanted. Lucas was amazing to work with. He does a great job of striking a balance between what’s cool and relevant, and classic hits. For weeks after our reception our guests were reaching out raving about our reception dance party. The final song was the cherry on top of a perfect evening. 10/10 would hire again.

  Lucas has great vibes and had everyone sweatin’ all night!!

  Lucas was flat out awesome. If you want ALL your guests partying on the dance floor without inhibition ALL night long- partner with Lucas!
  Music is arguably the most important part of a wedding/party, and a skilled DJ uses music as a universal language to bring people together and bring out their joy.
  For our wedding specifically, we wanted the party rocking all night once the main food was done, letting their hair down and getting very sweaty and very loose. We had people from Latinx and American countries/cultures that couldn’t communicate that well, and we wanted everyone to connect on the dance floor. We gave Lucas a few must-play songs, and some others to give him a feel for our vibe, and he ran with it from there- switching between genres, mixing live, and getting EVERYONE MOVING TOGETHER!
  
  His sound equipment was fantastic- good deep bass, clear range, covering a space holding 150 people.
  He arrived early, running cable down to the outdoor ceremony site for audio, and stayed until the last person wobbled off the dance floor (my wife).
  He was priced reasonably compared to others we checked out, and immediately from the first call we clicked because of his down to earth “I like to party” and confident “I know how to throw a party” attitude. He was moderately more expensive than the cheapest DJ we vetted, and less expensive than the highest priced, but the higher priced had Bella and whistles in their packages we didn’t care.. Lucas is straight up music and rocked it.

  Best Money Spent for our Wedding

  We had Lucas DJ our wedding in Holbox recently. It was originally scheduled for March of 2020, but we had to cancel and move to Jan 2022. He was a true professional and so wonderful! He made himself available for our new date and didn’t even change his rate (even though he very well could have and all our other vendors did). At the wedding, he was incredible and created the most amazing vibe on the dance floor! The most common comment of the night from everyone, including myself: “I have had to pee for hours but don’t want to leave and miss a song!” He also made the most beautiful remixes of Persian dance numbers and other bangers (I am Iranian and my husband is Irish Catholic). Every single guest was on the dance floor for every single minute! On a personal note, he is also just an awesome and nice person.
  
  The best money spent for our entire wedding. I can’t recommend him enough and hope to hire him for every party we ever have!

  Can't recommend Lucas highly enough!

  Lucas was recommended to us as "the DJ you want to hire if you want someone you can trust to keep your dance floor full and to read the crowd to keep your party going," which immediately appealed to us. We live in Brooklyn, and got married in the Catskills, and found out that Lucas also DJs regularly at some of our favorite spots in Brooklyn. From our first contact with Lucas, he was responsive, kind, interested in getting to know us and our taste, and super professional. We connected on a personal level as well as on a musical one. Now, having had Lucas DJ our wedding and supply all of the audio equipment, we can't recommend him highly enough. The audio for our ceremony and speeches worked without a hitch (he also helped to professionally feed our ceremony audio/music into our livestream setup), Lucas knew exactly the right moments to take cues for music, and when the dance party began, he played great music that totally matched our vibe and tastes, and as promised, he kept the dance floor full all night (no small feat, especially because we downsized our wedding to 60 guests). In addition to being an excellent DJ, he's also a great guy to be around, and on your wedding day, it's really nice to feel like you are surrounded by people you want to spend time with. Multiple people came up to us to ask about Lucas during and after our wedding, because he was that exceptional. Hire him and you will be so glad you did! Couldn't ask for more in a DJ.

  A++ Experience with DJ Lucas

  Lucas is the man. First off he is very helpful logistically in the audio experience at the wedding - he brought in all of his own equipment, and had different speaker/mic setups for the rooftop ceremony/cocktail hour and the indoor reception. As for the dance floor vibe, not only is his musical collection vast, his taste and ability to play exactly the kind of music you want to hear at your wedding is incredibly impressive. He brings a special flavor to the DJ experience, not just a run of the mill type and was able to tailor our musical experience exactly to what we wanted, and we wanted something very specific for our wedding (not just Aretha Franklin, Journey, and top 40 type songs). I can't recommend this guy enough, just book him and you'll be incredibly happy you did.

  Lucas MADE our wedding !

  I remember dancing at my wedding and hearing multiple people on the dance floor say “Damn this playlist!” Honestly you could feel everyone’s excitement over each new song, as they were blended in such a thrill-inducing way (don’t know how else to describe it!) and each new track was unexpected but perfect. We wanted 90s hip hop and epic dance songs and the result was a high-energy dance floor that left more than one person telling me Lucas was the best DJ they’d ever heard at a wedding. (I recommend picking a few foundational songs to set the tone and then really let Lucas work his magic with the rest.) Also, leading up to my wedding Lucas was incredibly responsive, accommodating every request and even helping with a non-DJ sound issue I brought to him that my venue wasn’t sure of. I felt really confident about him leading up to the wedding and then he killed it on our big day.

  Lucas was everything we could have asked for and more on our wedding day! I gave him a description of the vibe we wanted for each aspect of the day, along with a list of some songs we like/don't like and he absolutely nailed it. His song choices were spot on and transitions were seamless.

  Just an absolutely amazing DJ -- luckily he does weddings

  Our guests continue to rave about how great the music was and how much fun they had, even months after our wedding. Lucas read the crowd perfectly and struck the right balance for guests of all ages, keeping everyone dancing the entire time. He was also really responsive and great to work with. I particularly appreciated that he was flexible in taking our suggestions but able to build on an initial song list with more great tunes that fit our style so well. He's not a typical cheesy "wedding DJ" -- just an awesome DJ and music lover who, lucky for us, does weddings.

  Choice DJ! Our guests were huge fans of Lucas. He plays the most fun throwback jams and knows how to read a crowd. Hire Lucas if you want to avoid typical lame wedding music.

  Lucas was such a hit at our wedding, not only did he DJ our actual wedding, but he did a pool party the day before, and the rehearsal dinner the night before. He set the tone with amazing music throughout, and kept the energy up all weekend long. He nailed the ceremony too, which was complicated with quite a few songs meant to be played in a specific order with perfect timing. We briefed him on what music we liked via a spotify playlist, and he took it and built on it from there.
  
  We cannot recommend Lucas enough to DJ your wedding and pre-parties.

  Lucas DJ'd My Wedding.

  Lucas did such an amazing job at our wedding! My entire family danced the night away. He was so kind and gracious and even offered to help tie my tie which was amazing! I love him for it! If anyone needs a great DJ he's your guy!

Sure, Lucas played our must-hear songs, but first and foremost he read the energy of the room that night, and in the moment curated the most fire selection of tracks imaginable. By the end of the night all of our guests were drenched in sweat and begging for more music (my husband and I actually extended the party so we could dance more). I'm including photos as evidence because I need you to see the pure joy on all of our faces that night! All thanks to Lucas' tunes. With Lucas you will not get a corny wedding DJ on a mic who just presses play. You’ll get a topnotch DJ with a wealth of music knowledge, a professional demeanor, and just an overall good person. I’d say you want all of those things on one of the most important days of your life. I've been dreaming up the next occasion I can book him for, so please lock him in for your special day! 🥰

  All I can say is that Lucas was amazing and has become necessary for all our major family celebrations...! The first time he played for our wedding in Greece and then he came back to play in our son's christening and then he came back for one of our closest friend's 50th...! He can keep a crowd up and going the whole night! And he is a sweetheart as a person! We love his music because it's about great songs and music (more hip-hop, RnB, but also some of my fav pop and rock stuff) mixing it well in his own unique style..! We could not recommend him more..!

I wanted a DJ that would get and keep the dance floor moving all night and he absolutely crushed it! His music choices were perfect and he doesn’t do the cheesy wedding dj thing, he instead plays what everyone wants to hear and can boogie too. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.
