"My fiance and I hired DJ Tyler for our wedding at the Bel Air Bay Club in the Palisades and we COULD NOT have made a better choice. He was fantastic from day one. Even before we hired him, he took the time to call us and discuss exactly what we wanted, what types of music we liked, and how we envisioned the music to play out. He made us feel as though he were a guest at our wedding and that his job was critical to making our wedding day successful (which is very true). Anytime we had a question for Tyler in the months and weeks beforehand, he was there with a quick response (which is much appreciated when you are planning a wedding). He accommodated a number of special requests and did so flawlessly. He let us play as large or as small a role as we wanted in song selection. His timing was great; he read the room seamlessly and had everyone on the dance floor effortlessly. Needless to say, I highly recommend Tyler, particularly as a Bostonian who hired him sight unseen from across the country. For what it’s worth, I’m a real guy who actually hired Tyler for my wedding, and I really did have a fantastic experience with him. Based on his professionalism, I’m sure that he’ll do as good a job at your wedding."

Tyler was awesome! He took into account all the music we wanted to hear (and didn't want to hear!) and created a great playlist for the evening. He also kept the festivities going and was more than we could have hoped for for our special night. We would recommend!

Tyler Johnson is both an excellent DJ as well as pleasure to work with. He was the DJ at my good friend's wedding as well as my own, so I got to see him preform for two very different crowds and worked closely with him to organize the music and technical details of my wedding. He has an excellent read of the crowd and kept people dancing all night at both parties. His equipment is top notch and we was able to supply microphones and speakers for the ceremony, the wedding toasts, and the dance party. He was always available to talk, had great recommendations for music, and came early and prepared for setup. In summary, I highly recommend Tyler (DJ in LA) for your next event.

I contacted Tyler from my Yelp search. I called the top 4 reviewed DJ's and he was the first to return my call and was thereafter the most prompt. He is insured and has a list of ideas and questions to consider for the event. Some of the things he asked we hadn't even considered so this was really helpful. He helped us to consider a schedule and special songs for the event so that the night went on without stress. When we asked him to adjust the schedule and guests requested special songs he was right on it. He was such a great DJ and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to have a successful event. He was dependable and arrived early to set up. He was polite and professional. This was a church wedding so we asked that he not play any music that had lewd lyrics or cussing. He followed all of our requests.

Tyler was great he made our wedding flow beautifully and brought fun to the dance floor. He was very professional from being of first interview to the end of the wedding . I would recommend Tyler very highly . His personality is perfect for a wedding DJ .

Tyler DJ'd at my daughter's 8th birthday party, but frankly, I plan to have him back to do my next party. He's a really nice guy, easy to liaise with, great with the kids, played all the songs we wanted and way more great ones we loved. He brought some of his own lights for no extra charge, was excellent value for money and everyone, adults and kids, had a great time. Highly recommended, literally all you need for a fun atmosphere to make your event a success.

“We are so happy that we chose Tyler to DJ our June wedding at Orcutt Ranch in West Hills, CA. As we began to plan the wedding Tyler was always prompt with emails, organized and listened carefully to what we wanted. Tyler has a very warm and friendly way about him, which made it easy to talk and plan with him, and I think he helped make our wedding great. He came early to set up his equipment out doors – even in the heat of a San Fernando Valley summer day. Throughout the wedding he played exactly the music we wanted. We had several friends come up to us during the reception to say they were happy to hear such good music playing and that we were lucky we chose such a good DJ. Tyler played music that kept us all out on the dance floor and even played some of our favorite songs without us requesting them. We definitely recommend Tyler to anyone looking for a DJ for their next big event.”

I've known Tyler for two years now and I was very comfortable having him DJ my wedding. Tyler and I met and we discussed the playlist and he was able to play the songs that we wanted at the wedding. Tyler is energetic and loves what he does and he will do a great job for you.

Tyler was recently our wedding DJ at Fantasea Yachts and I can’t say enough about how outstanding he was. From the beginning Tyler was amazing. He was easy to communicate with, answered e-mails promptly, and was willing to go the extra mile to make our wedding day carefree and special. When planning, DJ Tyler had a large library and array of songs to help in the selection processes. He made the overwhelming task of selecting music fun and effortless for us. He gave great advice on song selection and cueing in music at just the right times to make every song fit perfectly. He definitely knows what he’s doing! DJ Tyler was so amazingly accommodating! Any song we wanted he’d get it and find the right place and time to incorporate it into our special day.
Not only was Tyler great in planning but also at the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. DJ Tyler came and did a full set up run-through for our wedding rehearsal which really helped in making me feel at ease and everything run flawless. The day of the wedding he had two DJ stations set up, one on a yacht for the ceremony and one in the yacht club for the receptions and everything was seamless. He was professional at all times and also a great MC. Once DJ Tyler got the dance floor started at the reception, it was packed until the last song! Tyler had a great balance of pre-requested songs, in the moment requested songs by guests, classic party jams, and some of the current hottest chart toppers. DJ Tyler placed all the right music at all the right times to keep the dance floor packed and a fun party tempo all night long. At the end of our special night all the guests commented on how awesome DJ Tyler was and how they wished the night could keep going!
We are so glad we had DJ Tyler – no headaches, no worries, just pure fun and great memories. By far one of the best vendors we worked with through our whole wedding process. Thanks for making our day extra special and an absolute blast!

Tyler Johnson was our DJ for our wedding rehearsal luncheon and our wedding day at Fantasea Yachts. His DJ skills are top notch, playing great music. He was also a fantastic MC, helping to make the wedding activities flow without a hitch. He met with us and spent a lot of time to ensure all the songs we wanted were part of the day, and everything from the “mood music” as guests went in until the “wrap up” music at the end went great. He even came to the rehearsal to make sure that everything would be perfect on our wedding day….and it was!! I also got tons of complements, not just for “great music”, but to complement how NICE our DJ was. He became another member of our wedding party!!! I’m already telling anyone I know if they are having a party or wedding, look no further…. I have got the guy for you!! One of our friends already used him to DJ a graduation party and he was very pleased with everything.

Tyler was the DJ for my engagement party and will soon be the DJ for my wedding!!! He was wonderful and very helpful. We threw the engagement party together in the matter of a few weeks because of the surprise engagement (I said yes!) and the fact that my fiancé's family happened to be visiting California at that time! He was very flexible and helped us arrange everything in a short amount of time. He played all the music that my fiancé and I love, as well as popular picks that everyone danced to. It was a great evening thanks to his skills. Tyler is also incredibly friendly. He is a joy to work with. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ for a wedding. He is on time, professional, kind, creative, and just all around a smiley guy. Thank you Tyler for making the night special!

“We hired Tyler for my daughter’s engagement party. He was friendly, organized and worked well with the live musician that we had hired to play also that night. Tyler is interested in who you are and what you want. He’s a good listener and was able to delight the older people who wanted Sinatra and the younger set that started dancing. A total gentleman and he dressed the part. Everything was handled so perfectly that night we asked Tyler to be the DJ for the upcoming wedding at Calamigos Ranch. He worked out a time line of when he would make announcements and as the date gets closer he will sit down with the bride and groom to plan out the music for the ceremony and the reception. He is at the least a five star. You wont be able to find anyone better. Tyler should be everyone’s DJ.”

What we liked about DJ Tyler right away was that he was a down-to-earth guy who was not trying to be overly flashy or up-sell us with things that we didn’t need. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, responsible guy to DJ your wedding, then give him a call! Our favorite part was sitting with him at a local Starbucks and walking through all of our songs and picking the cues. He toured the property before the wedding and made sure everything was set up properly. He never ever rushed us, and truly seemed to enjoy meeting and chatting. Finding a no-frills reasonably priced DJ is very difficult. Tyler will do a great job. He won’t take the attention away from you at the wedding, or try anything cheesy. We had our wedding at the Victorian in Santa Monica, and were very pleased.

Tyler DJ’d my wedding. We had an EXCELLENT experience with him, from start to finish. He's professional, prompt, courteous, friendly, socially savvy and all-in-all, just an all around gentleman. Best of all, he brought no ego to the table with regard to playing songs he wanted to play, relinquishing total creative control to whatever our wishes were (I was surprised to hear horror stories of other DJ’s who would spin songs of their own choice at weddings, despite the couples’ desired playlist). Tyler was also proactive with correspondence in the weeks leading up to our wedding, a quality very much appreciated in that whirlwind time period. Lastly, he was just a great DJ, both in spinning songs AND in his timing. My bride and I have both brought up since our nuptials how lucky we were to have found Tyler for our wedding. We can’t recommend him strongly enough.

Absolutely Awesome gentleman to work with! Tyler is very professional and timely with his services. The moment we inquired about his availability he visited our venue and wedding planner before I could even blink. Extremely organized, Reliable, and easy to work with. Tyler is great - ours was a very low-key wedding reception, and he read us perfectly. He played everything we'd requested and found related music which we loved. He was set-up early, stayed late, was professional and fun. Just perfect.

Tyler was great -- responded to emails as soon as I sent them, able to upgrade our service at the last minute, arrived early to ensure that I didn't have any anxiety for the sound check, and was helpful beyond measure. DJ Tyler MC'd and DJ'd our wedding at the Bel Air Bay Club. He handled the dance floor and the cocktail hour (in other words, he set up music/equipment at two locations to make sure it transitioned smoothly). Overall, he was very responsive, willing to work with us, contributed suggestions, and was very dependable. Everyone had a great time dancing.

Tyler showed up for a meeting prepared with the songs he could play, and with a bunch of paperwork about his services - shows that he wants to make a professional impact. He is easy to talk to, entertaining our guests with whatever they wanted played. He also took the time to learn how to pronounce my name and my bride's properly.
