Working with DJ Eli Freshmode was a masterclass in how to elevate a wedding atmosphere through music and collaboration. From the early planning stages to the final track of the night, Eli was an essential part of the team for this Rockland wedding. What stood out immediately was his intentionality; he didn’t just ask for a playlist, but helped the couple truly determine their taste by asking insightful, creative questions that dug deeper than just the standard favorite genres. He took the time to understand the vibe they wanted to cultivate, making the entire process feel curated rather than templated.
I was incredibly impressed by his robust vinyl spinning setup, which acted as both a visual centerpiece and a source of incredible sound quality. The warmth and soul of the vinyl added a layer of sophistication and "cool" that you just don't get with a standard digital rig. Beyond the equipment, Eli has an uncanny ability to read the energy of the room, knowing exactly when to keep things mellow and when to shift gears to keep the dance floor packed. He pivoted seamlessly throughout the evening and proved to be a fantastic collaborator, staying in sync with the timeline and communicating proactively to ensure the flow of the entire wedding was flawless. Eli is more than just a DJ—he’s a true professional who treats the soundtrack of a wedding like the art form it is. -

Eli is the absolute best DJ around, plus he's a super chill and nice guy you'll feel comfortable having at your wedding or event. He took the time to meet with us in person to go over everything and tell us what we needed to do, like pick processional and recessional songs. He then took our input for musical tastes and songs we liked and combined that with his own uncanny DJ abilities and vast musical knowledge to create what many have said was the most fun dance floor they've ever been on at a wedding. He kept the older crowd dancing right along with all the young folks all night. And he spins actual vinyl which is a rarity these days! I couldn't imagine our wedding with anyone but him DJing. Hire him now! -

My husband and I got married in Sonoma on 04/28/2024, and we had the pleasure of working with DJ Eli. Eli is seriously one of the BEST wedding DJs you will ever find. Not only is he just such a joy to be around, but he knows how to get the party bumping. He took our vision of a fun and exciting reception and turned it into one of the funnest dance parties i've ever been a part of. We had every guest, young and old, on the dance floor partying and having the time of their lives. With Eli there was no stress, worries, or over explaining...he had amazing communication, knew what to do and how to do it, and made every detail work effortlessly. No matter what was going on, Eli was on top of it and was ready to roll with the punches. All of our guests are still commenting on how amazing our ceremony music was, and how much fun our reception was. Not only was his work just phenomenal, but Eli himself is just an amazing human and such a loving and caring person. If you want a fun reception that you and your guests will never forget....then you have to go with Mr.Eli FreshMode. If I could give him 100 stars, I would in a heart beat! -

DJ Eli Freshmode was everything we ever hoped for in our wedding. He was at our wedding at Black Oak Mountain Vineyards on September 16, 2023. He was absolutely amazing!! You could tell he loves what he does and definitely knows his stuff and can read the crowd. He kept our guests dancing all night! It was so much fun! From the start, his communication was outstanding and he was so easy to work with. If you're looking for the perfect DJ for your wedding look no further DJ Eli Freshmode is ALL you need. Eli made our wedding so perfect! He went above and beyond to incorporate our favorite songs and made every aspect of the ceremony and reception so special. He helped the night go so smoothly and made each part of our wedding transition seamlessly into the next. He is also just such a cool and nice guy! Look no further! Eli is the DJ you need to hire for your upcoming special event! From our first meeting, Eli made us feel at ease and heard. During our first meeting we talked for almost two hours about music and he instantly felt like a close friend. Leading up to our wedding he met with us virtually a few more times to make sure he understood our vision and desires for music. The day of the wedding there were several times throughout the day I turned to my husband and said, "do you hear what's playing?!" followed by a "how'd he know?!", well he knew because he listened to every small comment we made. I'm also convinced he can slightly read minds, he's that good! The day of he did an incredible job with our unique bridal party grand entrance announcements. He is very personable and articulate on the mic. He also talked our best man into doing a unique entrance with music to his toast and it was epic and super memorable. We got a TON of compliments on the DJ and music throughout the evening. Eli was open and willing to try new games, entrance themes, and to make our event truly unique. We'd love to have Eli join us for any upcoming music need! -

We hired Eli for our wedding and I am so glad we did!!
Our guests had so much fun on the dance floor - they still talk about it up to this day lol. Transitioning is so smooth and he KNOWS how to read the crowd.
I also had special requests like my bestfriend FaceTiming in for her speech, and I had friends who did live music for us and he made all these happen without me stressing about it.
We had so much fun throughout the whole process as well. Can’t wait to hire him again for our next events! -

Hire Him - Two simple words that sum up our experience with Eli at our wedding. If you want more info, please feel free to continue reading on, however, don't take too long because he books up fast.
My wife and I had the pleasure of planning a wedding in 2020 with COVID causing us to make changes every month. Eli was one of the few constants. Throughout the planning process his enthusiasm, creativity, and excitement helped calm our nerves.Eli even went the extra mile by helping us come up with a plan to live stream the wedding via Zoom. Without him it would not have been possible.
At the event he was the definition of professional. He was on time. He nailed the timing on all of our songs (not easy todo since we had so many) and absolutely crushed the dance party. I look forward to working with Eli again on our next event. Thank you again! -

We were very hesitant to hire a DJ because, we have never been to a wedding where we liked the DJ. Admittedly, my husband and I both are not big into typical "dance" or club music so it's no wonder we haven't really enjoyed many DJ's in our life. By the end of our wedding I came to affectionately refer to Eli as the "anti-wedding wedding DJ," meaning he's really good and not like all the other ones.
Eli made the most perfect playlist for our wedding and did it with such ease I never had to worry about him. From the ceremony to cocktail hour, reception and finally dancing he did everything perfectly and professionally. He seemed to understand us and knows how to read the crowd. Eli kept us on time, communicated with us, our caterer and photographer. Our guests all loved him and I look forward to hiring him again someday. -

Eli was the perfect choice for our wedding DJ! Everyone had a blast and Eli listened to everything my husband and I wanted for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing portion. I could not imagine it being more perfect. He is great at reading the crowd and knowing when to turn it up or slow it down. He also went above and beyond for us and was able to move all of his equipment inside and restart the dancing party portion of our wedding after it unexpectedly started pouring rain outside. It only took him a few minutes to move all of this equipment into the barn at our venue to continue the party and he had a smile on his face the whole time! Eli was extremely easy to work with, responsive to emails, and made my wedding a literal dream. He is also a great MC, kept everything very professional and simple when it needed to be. Everything I had imagined for my wedding day and more! I 120% recommend Eli for any DJ needs. -

From beginning to end, Eli was there for us! We had a themed wedding, based around the video game that my wife and I bonded over, so we only had so much to give him in the way of specific music, but he came through and filled in the gaps. As an MC, he read the room incredibly well, knew when to play what type of song, and we told him to make judgement calls on guest requests based on our style, and he did that with tact and professionalism. The party went on the entire night, the dance floor was always full, and everything went on a great pace. The cherry on top, and this was HUGE for me. We had a little scare with our officiate being a little late, and when I went to tell him, before I could tell him that it would only be a couple of minutes he said "If she can send me her draft of the ceremony, I'm ordained, I'll figure it out, and everything will be fine". He answered any and all of our questions no matter how small, big, or plain odd. We could not recommend him enough! -

DJ Eli Freshmode is THE BEST! We had the most epic dance floor at our wedding thanks to him. As soon as we learned that he plays vinyl records, we knew he was our DJ. He is so down-to-earth and easy to work with. He helped make awesome recommendations for ceremony songs. He has a vast knowledge of music that made the evening so much fun for all of our guests! Everyone from our flower girl to our grandparents were on the dance floor. He started off our reception with great energy by introducing the wedding party and their chosen intro songs. He is awesome and secretly worked with my sisters who incorporated music into their MOH speech. One of the highlights of our wedding was a flash mob to Blanco Brown’s Git Up coordinated by our wedding party and DJ Eli Freshmode. We were so surprised and still can’t believe it. We stayed on the dance floor the whole night because every song was perfect and so much fun. He read the vibe of the crowd and kept our dance floor bumpin’! We had requested Aerosmith “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” as our final song and the night ended with all our friends and family in a big circle together around us singing the words. We still have our guests reaching out to us to compliment DJ Eli Freshmode. Even our photographer and videographer were expressing how much fun our dance floor was to us afterwards. We cannot over-enthuse how incredible DJ Eli Freshmode is and thank him enough for truly making our wedding so memorable and epic. -

Eli was absolutely amazing!! It was our dream to have an epic dance party in the woods and Eli went above and beyond to make it happen. From the moment we met and talked about our vision and our music choices I felt confident that Eli would would be a great DJ for our wedding, but we were blown away the day of the wedding. We loved that he was able to execute a diverse playlist throughout the night that kept the party going till the end when no one wanted to stop dancing. Plus he was a terrific emcee! We also got so many compliments from our guests about how great the DJ was. Eli is very professional, accommodating, and just a really great guy who's clearly passionate about music and cares about his clients. I can't say enough about Eli, we highly highly recommend him! -

From our very first correspondence with Eli, we knew it was a match made in heaven. As two music enthusiasts, we wanted to make sure the DJ we hired for our wedding was passionate and well versed in the array of music we love. We could not imagine Bruno Mars or Beyoncé playing at our wedding so finding someone who loved Arcade Fire and ELO as much as we did was a huge relief. From the get go, Eli understood our vision and worked closely with us to make sure everything we wanted came to life. We were very involved with choosing all of the music and appreciate him being so receptive to our input. With all of the details of a wedding, we never worried about anything that Eli was in charge. On the day of our wedding, Eli nailed our playlist and made the day feel authentic to us. He was so great at keeping everything moving and was always there for a last minute change. He captured the exact feeling we wanted on our wedding day. The music he played was spot on and we received so many compliments on it – especially once the reception started. From 70s Disco to Hot Chip, it was a dance party to remember. Thank you for making our wedding a day that we will never forget. We wish we could do it all over again. You will not regret booking Eli as your DJ. He was so easy to work with from consultation to payment to handling everything on the day of. We met with him about a year before our wedding and he gave us a worksheet to start working on with our song preferences and advised me to think about creating some Spotify playlists so he would have an idea of what kind of music my husband and I are into and what our crowd would like. About 2 weeks before the wedding, he checked in with us. This is when I sent him over our worksheet and the links to our playlists. He also allowed me to pay him in advance via Venmo which was such a relief as I was nervous about trying to keep track of all that cash on the wedding day.
Day of- I was obviously oblivious to when he arrived and set up as I was busy getting ready. What I do know is that everything from the ceremony, cocktail hour and all the reception events went off without a hitch. He kept the reception events (toasts, cake cutting, dances etc.) on time and kept everyone dancing and having a fantastic time all night. He managed to fit in all of the guest song requests as well as multiple plays of our favorite songs. I highly recommend him for weddings. He made the whole process so seamless and stress free! -

I saw DJ Eli Freshmode come up in the search engine and was instantly impressed by all of the positive reviews. My fiance and I contacted him and have already had out meet and greet with him to lock down the date and just to get to know each other. He is professional, friendly and has a great sense of humor. I am excited to have him DJ our wedding (and how cool is it that he uses vinyl records?) I couldn't be happier with our selection!
