DJ Digital Dave brought the party!!

Adding DJ Digital Dave to our vendor list was one of the BEST decisions we could’ve made during our wedding planning process. We are still getting compliments from our guests. The dance floor stayed full and no one wanted to go home! Seriously. He played “one last song” at least 3 times. He is not the typical “cheesy” wedding DJ we’ve all experienced at one time or another. Dave was responsive and professional throughout the months leading up to our wedding. He took our requests and transformed our party into a night we will never forget.

Hiring Dave was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. He is incredibly talented and kept all of our guests on the dance floor until the very last minute, but is also responsive, professional, and overall just awesome. We can't recommend him enough.

Dave was awesome to work with! His pre-wedding questionnaire is very detailed and helpful for planning the vibe that you are going for throughout the reception. He did a great job of feeling out the crowd, and he made it hard to leave the dance floor! Our dance floor was packed the whole time and that's exactly what we were looking for. Dave is the best!!

Dj digital dave gets the crowd going

We are thrilled we chose to work with DJ Digital Dave for our wedding. He really exceeded our expectations. Two weeks before the wedding, I had submitted to Dave his easy to follow questionnaire packet of requests, timeline, playlists, etc. Not only did he configure amazing playlists for cocktail hour and dinner music based on my requests, but he kept the dance floor PACKED the entire night. We received so many compliments from our guests on how incredible the music was the entire night. Not to mention Dave sets up lights that also go with the songs- it added a really cool look to our dance floor photos! We are so thankful for Dave, he completed our wedding reception!

AMAZING dj who helped pump the party for hours!

I work in the wedding industry so I knew when I was looking for a dj for my own wedding, I wanted someone GOOD. Djs make the party!! Dave was literally incredible. At 1 am our dance floor was still packed. Seriously, I could not have hired anyone better. I’d hire Dave a trillion times over!

Best wedding dj ever

Everyone says that their wedding DJ is the best, but ours truly was. From the ceremony to cocktail our to reception, Dave knew exactly what to play for each occasion. He kept the energy high throughout the enter event. We threw in a couple last minute adjustments to the plan, which Dave handled beautifully. We are overwhelmed with compliments (both young and old) from our guests on the quality of Dave's service. Could not be happier, 10/10 would recommend!

Dave put together the best reception line up based off my husband and I’s interests and our dynamic! Truly personalized playlist! He was super helpful and enthusiastic! I even changed my wedding song last minute and he worked diligently to make our day so perfect!! 10/10 all the way!!! He had everyone on their feet dancing the night away!

DJ Digital Dave is the best!!

Dave is truly the best DJ in Pittsburgh!! My husband and I heard him DJ for the first time at the casino and immediately knew we had to ask him about being the DJ for our wedding- we met with him soon after and made the easy decision to hire him for our wedding! Our wedding was held on August 29, 2021 after being postponed multiple times due to COVID and Dave was extremely understanding and accommodating throughout the entire process. We feel so lucky to have found him- he is very talented and everyone at our wedding couldn’t stop talking about how great he was! He picked the perfect music for throughout cocktail hour and dinner and most importantly, kept the dancing and party going for the entire reception. Almost everyone at our wedding was on the dance floor for the entire night and we all had an absolute blast. He was able to easily pick up the vibe of the crowd and continually play our favorite songs. To make it even better, Dave is so fun and easy to work with- he even met us out for a drink after the wedding!! I can’t recommend Dave enough!

Kept the Party Going All Night Long

DJ Digital Dave came highly recommended to us and I could not be happier that we went with him. We hired him for our cocktail hour / ceremony / reception and after party. He took extensive information on our requests and made sure get our favorite songs in while filling in the playlist that kept people on the dance floor. We received so many compliments on the music. Digital Dave was also able to remove the vocals from a song for our ceremony and was onboard for all of our requests as the night wore on. Absolutely the best and would recommend to anyone looking for a wedding DJ.

Digital Dave Dazzles Dancefloor!

My wife and I hired Dave to DJ our wedding reception (and provide music during cocktail hour and dinner) and could not be happier with our decision to do so. Our initial conversation with Dave was awesome, talking about our vision for the event, some minor logistical things, and style. Dave has an awesome catalog of mixes he's done to give you a feel for what it would be like, and we were blown away by his mixing ability and song selection. He gave us a prep sheet to share the order of our events (speeches, special dances, etc.) and songs we DEFINITELY want to hear and DEFINITELY don't. Dave's professionalism and curation was incredible, he always hit the right tone at the right time and really took our guests into consideration when playing the next song. We've heard from countless guests that our "DJ was incredible" and "people went to the dancefloor and never left" which was our hope. We're already trying to think of ways to have another event and bring Dave in to perform. 10/10 would recommend!

Best dj ever! 10/10!

THE BEST EVER! MIND READER OF MUSIC.

First off - I had been planning a wedding with DJ Dave since 2019, then Covid hit. He was more than willing to work with me throughout the several date changes with ease. After almost 3 years of planning and bragging to my friends and family about how I hired the best DJ ever, our day was finally here. DJ DIGITAL DAVE DID NOT DISAPPOINT WHATSOEVER. He was able to MC our dinner/reception flawlessly (which was on an entirely different floor than our dance floor), then once our dinner ended, he was ready to go on the dance floor. He played the songs I requested and did not play my "do not play songs/genre!". The dance floor was MOVING from start to finish. Dozens of guests commented on how SPOT ON the DJ was. I did not want the night to end! When I found out DJ Dave was heading to Cavo immediately after the wedding, we HAD to go, so we did! If we were to do this again.. without a doubt, DJ DIGITAL DAVE would be there!

Easiest decision!

Music at a wedding either makes or breaks it in my opinion. People remember how much fun they had, not what color tablecloths there were. If you want to guarantee a full dance floor the entire night without having to worry about a thing, Digital Dave is your guy! The only thing I had to contribute was a list of about 30 songs to give him an idea of our taste/ what we wanted the vibe to be and he was able to figure out the rest. He is great at reading the room and is so crafty at blending songs together to keep the energy high. My family was worried about not having a live band but with Dave you really don't need it. There's nothing worse than suffering through a 4 minute song that no one knows or drags the energy down. Hire Dave and that will absolutely not happen. Seats were empty and suits were sweaty. That's all you really need to know!

Simply put, Dave made our wedding. Our guest are still talking about how amazing he was months after our wedding. I had several inquiries the day after for the DJs playlist. Dave was easy to work with throughout the entire process and constantly made things easy.

DJ Dave is the BEST! He DJ'ed our wedding on January 8, 2022 and he kept the night moving from cocktail hour to dinner to dancing. Dave's process is extremely thorough and he met with us multiple times to discuss everything. He also met with us at our venue to try out the uplighting. We went with several of his uplights - they completed the room. Our #1 compliment from our guests was how amazing our DJ was - he played absolutely everything and everyone from age 2 - 80 was on the dance floor. I would recommend him hands down!

Amazing and thorough

The biggest thing we cared about for our wedding reception was the music. We had a very specific vibe that we wanted for our wedding music. Dave was so thorough with his questionnaire and even got on the phone with us to talk about it and make sure he knew what we wanted. To say he absolutely nailed it is an understatement. He made our wedding exactly what we wanted. We had friends and family coming up to us all night and for days after to tell us how amazing the music was and how awesome Dave was. You will not go wrong with him, we would recommend him to anyone!

Best dj!

Dave was INCREDIBLE. He was easy to work with during the planning process and very thorough and responsive. He's incredibly organized and has every detail accounted for. THE Best DJ -look no further

Digital Dave was PHENOMENAL. No joke, ALL of our guests of all ages loved his music, his mixes, his talent, his lights and sound system, and what an incredible time he was. Our dance floor was packed the entire time. He stood strong with us through our wedding postponement, had great suggestions to make our reception flow flawlessly, and mixed in the songs we really wanted our guests to jam to. He made our night beyond special, beyond what we could have envisioned, starting with cocktail hour and ending with our epic closing song. Greatest dj in the game- hands down- hire him now

DJ Dave is the best wedding DJ we have ever dance to or experienced. We have been to countless weddings. If you want someone that can read the dance floor, play straight fire for a 6 hour dance set (yes we danced that long at our wedding and he nailed every second of it). He can read a crowd, mix old with new and just all around make everyone have a fantastic time. Super nice, professional and very accommodating. He even got our first dance song made into a file for us since it was only on YouTube as the artist hasn't released it yet. Hire him for your wedding, if you don't you're dumb! THE BEST!

A Wedding Dj's Wedding DJ

Dave went crazy at our wedding. Being a wedding DJ myself, expectations from my family and friends were high. A good friend recommended I bring in a home run hitter and sent me Dave's contact and boy did he CRUSH a grand slam. Non stop dancing, and music creativity all tailored to my wife and I. You need dave at your wedding!

When choosing a DJ for our wedding, we knew that we wanted someone good because guests attending your reception only care about a couple of things and one of those things is the music. After discovering DJ Digital Dave and after a few phone calls we knew that we had to have him for our wedding. We filled out a sheet for the day of telling him our "wants" and "do not wants". He completely exceeded our expectations. From the second the dance floor opened up and he told everyone to get out there I don't think a single guest left the dance floor until the last song was played. Everyone loved him so much they were all chanting "one more song!" after our last song was played so naturally Dave played one more song! I've never been to a wedding where that has ever happened! He is a true DJ and really knows what he is doing. And also he is good at reading the crowd and knowing what is going to keep people out there on the dance floor. My husband and I can not recommend him enough! He definitely made it a night that we will NEVER forget, and for that we are forever thankful.

DJ Digital Dave is amazing! He was recommended to us by our wedding planner (S.H.E) and proved to be the best of the best. I gave him no songs other traditional bride/groom, son/mother, father/daughter dances and asked him to feel out the crowd and do what he thought was best for dancing. He had EVERYONE up dancing! Best DJ out there!!

DJ Digitial Dave was one of our very first vendors we booked and we were so happy and pleased with him as our DJ for our wedding. He's by far one of the best DJ's I've ever come across. He was all around amazing and our wedding wouldn't have been what it was without him. He is very professional and super talented to say the least. He was so easy to work with and got exactly what music we liked. We got so many compliments on how much people liked the music and had such a fun time. Our black and white patterned vinyl dance floor got a lot of use that night because of him.
One thing I do regret is ending our reception at 11pm as I wish we had extended it to 11:30pm so we could dance more. This was our choice to end at 11pm and no one else's but had I known I would have extended it a bit more. I didn't want the night of fun to end!
My husband and I would highly recommend him! Guests always remember the food and music and this holds true. He will make your wedding and guests will be talking about how much fun they had for years to come.

Look no further for a truly unique DJ!

If you want a truly unique DJ who shatters the idea of a “wedding DJ” look no further than Digital Dave!!
From the start I had a very specific idea of what I wanted my wedding DJ to be like. I couldn’t stand your traditional wedding DJ...when I thought of one I thought of a cheesy old dude with no clue about popular music and how to mix.
I knew I wanted it to feel like you were at a nightclub at my wedding. Basically any song I’d ever heard at a wedding before..I didn’t want at my wedding!
And let me tell you Dave understood this PERFECTLY. We really bonded over our understanding for fun, upbeat, music.
Dave has extensive experience DJing in the nightclub scene in Pgh and across the country so I knew he was my perfect fit.
During my planning process Dave was very quick and responsive to my many long emails.
He always responded with well thought out answers, which showed me he truly cared about what I was saying, and wanted to offer his help.
We had a great in person meeting before the wedding to discuss our vision.
The day of the wedding, Dave was 100% professional and accommodating. He came ready to work!
He made sure to check in with me, my husband, and my other bridal party members and family to make sure everything was in line, and checked out.
Which was so nice of him, and made me feel even more at ease.
Our bridal party came out to “Whoomp There It Is” by Tag Team, and my husband and I made our grand entrance to “Where The Hood At” by DMX...and Dave KILLED IT! He was so down to work with the sound that we wanted for our “play list” and it was just awesome.

Best Ever!!!!!

Can’t say enough about how great Dave was!!!! He kept the dance floor full all night, and are guests are still raving about the great music he played! Music was the thing I was most worried about at our wedding, because I had the least control over the choices. But Dave nailed it!!!!!!! We can’t wait to go see Dave when he comes to Chicago for a club appearance in November!!!!

The BEST Music and Amazing Service

Dave was so great to work with for our June Wedding - his playlist for the reception was absolute perfection: it fit our tastes and requests perfectly while keeping the dance floor packed all night. We had so many compliments on the DJ during the night and the next morning. But apart from the Music, Dave was also a complete professional and so easy to work with. He was responsive to emails and happily adjusted to our many last minute requests and changes. We had two ceremonies before the cocktail hour and reception and it was such a comfort to have Dave be there all day and know that the audio would be covered. He even was able to acquire additional microphones for us at the last minute. We highly recommend Digital Dave!

best DJ ever!

After a couple recommendations from family & friends, we decided to listen and book Dave for our June 2019 wedding in Pittsburgh. Dave was an awesome DJ! During the planning process, he was always quick to respond to my emails and answer any questions. I had a specific vibe of music I wanted played during cocktail hour & dinner service. The playlist he put together went above & beyond my expectations. During the reception, he would transition songs in such a cool, smooth way that I didn't know was even possible. I had guests coming up to me during the wedding all night saying how good the music was. If you're considering Dave as your DJ for your wedding, book him! You won't regret it.

I still hurt from dancing my face off.

Listen. Hiring DJ Digital Dave will be the best decision you make in planning your wedding. He KILLED it. We still have people telling us that he played the best music they’ve ever heard at a wedding. You can tell he has a real passion for creating fun and exhilarating experiences through music. Despite being a busy guy, he was always responsive to any messages, always willing to chat over the phone or set up a meeting. Though, to be honest, we really didn’t need to do too much pre-planning with him because we just trusted that he would do his thing.

Dave has a gift for reading the room and commanding the energy flow. He is a club DJ, so he mixes one song right into the next. As a result, our dance floor was NEVER empty. It was to the point where people didn’t want to leave because they didn’t want to miss out on the next song! Even Grammy was grooving on the dance floor. My husband and I also feel like Dave fully understood us and the vibe we wanted to create, just based on our Must Play songs and our conversations. We have a pretty eclectic taste in music ranging from typical pop guilty pleasures to Motown to new wave to classic rock. Dave SEAMLESSLY mixed all of these genres together and more. No awkward pauses, just moments of pure joy to the next. We really got the impression he was having just as much as fun as our guests!

When you have a DJ that flawlessly transitions from Carly Rae Jepson’s “Call Me Maybe” to Annie Lennox’s “Walking on Broken Glass” AND manages to sprinkle in The Clash, The Smiths, Biggie, and WU-TANG throughout the night, you’ve found yourself a winner.

If Dave is booked on your wedding date... get another wedding date

We selected Dave for our wedding from a long list of potential DJs after seeing some of his demo videos and speaking with him on the phone.

I'll cut to the chase: Dave absolutely killed it. From the moment dancing started, the dance floor was always packed (and we weren't a crowd that you'd necessarily expect to stay out on the floor all night).

Before the wedding, Dave had us fill out a sheet of "need to play, like to play, don't play" -- that's pretty typical. But what made a huge difference was that he met with us beforehand to review our answers, dig deeper, and make suggestions for improvements.

For example, a couple songs we'd said we wanted played during dancing weren't necessarily great dance songs, so he recommended we move them to dinner or the cocktail hour. All of his advice was totally spot on and improved the evening.

Dave also just "got us" based on the songs we chose. Even the songs he played that we hadn't requested were perfect fits for the crowd and the evening.

One thing Dave did that worked really well was playing some older songs (for the older crowd) with a little bit of a more contemporary beat mixed in. This kept the old folks out on the dance floor and got the younger folks out at the same time too.

It wasn't just the dancing part of the reception that was great, either -- Even during dinner, we had people coming up to us saying that the dinner music mix was the best they'd ever heard at a wedding.

One of my groomsmen owns a DJ company in another city and he even agreed that Dave did a stellar job.

We absolutely can't recommend Dave highly enough!

Perfect!

Dave Lander aka DJ Digital Dave not only MET our expectations but he exceeded them immensely along with all 285 of our guests. I'm incredibly picky when it comes to the songs I want to dance to and we knew exactly what type of dance party we wanted which DJ Digital Dave hit it spot on. Even our guests continue to compliment the music at our wedding! Before our wedding, we met once as an introduction to go over what we wanted and he requested to meet a second time at our venue so that he could scope it out since it was a brand new venue and he never worked an event there. He was passionate and wanted to know exactly how to unload the equipment, set up and do a sound and light check. We also had him provide additional up-lighting that worked perfectly with our venue. He is THE BEST and we are so happy we chose him for our special day which we will forever hear how amazing our night was on the dance floor!

DJ Digital Dave was absolutely awesome at our 8.11.18 wedding reception! He was great during the whole planning process and answered all of our questions. We were able to specify what songs we wanted during cocktail hour, dinner, and our reception. Dave was receptive to all of it and everyone loved his music and MC capabilities! Hiring Dave was one of the best decisions we made on our wedding day. He was so thorough with communication and was 110% professional every step of the way. The dance floor was packed the entire evening, and people kept commenting on how great our DJ was. He really read the room and kept everyone dancing. We had Greek dancing at our wedding, and although it was not something he had done before, he would so excited to incorporate it into your day. I was nervous when looking for a DJ because I didn't want anyone too cheesy or loud and annoying to people. As soon as I met Dave I knew he would be perfect for our wedding. He is well organized and very kind and responsive to all of our questions and emails. He is also very laid back and down to earth which is welcomed when you are stressed out planning a wedding! He is up to the minute with the latest music and artists. About a month before the wedding he asked us for a list of songs, we gave him our list , he let us know from experience which ones would be better played at what times during the wedding ( cocktail hour vs Reception) which was nice because there is so much to think about when planning a wedding , you surely aren't thinking about the music timing! Also, after listening to some of his mixes on his website we knew we wanted to leave him time to play some of his own favorites. He has a wonderful gift of being able to feel the crowd and make sure that the overall energy just flows. Dave was also a huge help with keeping the night on track as far as introductions and announcements (Cake cutting, parent dances, etc). I highly highly recommend him & I am so glad I met him!

We had the pleasure of seeing Dave in action at a wedding a few years back and knew he needed to be our DJ. When it came time for our turn, Dave was quick to respond to email inquiries and we booked almost immediately. Dave sends over a questionnaire to fill out with basic wedding day questions (who's speaking/what reception activities are taking place/special dances, etc.) and also a list of must & must not plays. I'll admit, I got a little out of hand with my must plays but he CRUSHED it and the dance floor was crowded from the second dinner concluded till the final song of the night. We had a phone chat a few days prior to just go over logistics and he joked how my must play list was so long he might not even have to work too hard haha! His knowledge of music is unmatched and his skills are top notch. My range of requested music was current hip/hop and R&B, country, 90s boybands/pop, current pop, and he was successfully able to make a transitional mix that flowed so perfectly. I believe he even landed a few more clients on referral that night! Book him while you can. Financially, he seemed a tad higher than other entertainment we looked into, but we knew that and were prepared and budgeted accordingly. 100% would book again if we ever need to. He was amazing and professional from the first email back in 2017 until the last song of the night on our wedding day. Couldn't recommend him enough!

Let me start by saying we are SOOOOO GLAD we went with DJ Digital Dave for our wedding reception last weekend!

Dave was responsive, professional, and the dance floor was packed. I had guests coming up to me all night (some pleasantly confused) complimenting the DJ and saying they had never been at a wedding with such good music. We had a variety of generations and backgrounds at our wedding, so we were nervous about picking a DJ who would be able to strike a good balance. Dave struck that balance with flying colors - I’m certain all of our guests were on the dancefloor at some point in the night (we have photos to prove it!!!). He was able to read the room and smoothly transition from R&B to oldies to pop to polkas and everything in between - not an easy feat.

As a side note, we filled out a wedding information form before the ceremony, and when I sent the PDF, all of the information I had typed in was mixed up and difficult to read - Dave was super patient and made sure he had all of the details correct. He was observant enough to notice that my mother’s name was cut off of the introductions sheet just moments before walking out, and made sure to catch me and get the name pronounced correctly. Which I REALLY appreciate.

While many wedding vendors can come off as abrasive or flaky (or let’s be honest - annoying), Dave was completely calm, fun, and professional. He was able to accommodate multiple setups and kept such a good vibe for the whole night. He knew exactly what he was doing - there is a reason he has such great reviews on here! Thank you Dave!

We could not be happier with the job that Dave did as our wedding DJ!! The process of working with Dave was smooth from the very beginning. He was a responsive communicator, and he met with us twice before the wedding: first, to get to know each other and see if we would be a good fit, and then a second time a week before our big day to iron out the details. Between the two meetings, we communicated via email, as necessary. During the planning process, Dave was incredibly helpful, and was a great resource for us to bounce ideas off of. He made it clear that he wanted our day to be special, and that he would do everything in his power to make sure everything was perfect.

On the wedding day, Dave did the music for our ceremony and reception, and he was on top of everything. As the MC, he made sure that we stayed on track and kept the event moving. During the reception is when Dave did his thing, and it was so much fun! People were always dancing, and countless guests came up to us afterwards to rave about the music. We gave Dave some difficult songs to work into the set, yet he somehow managed to mix them in at the perfect time. If you hire Dave, you will be in great hands...he is a true professional, and we cannot recommend him enough!

Dave Lander is, without a doubt the BEST Wedding DJ I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Being a DJ myself, I was incredibly picky in selecting the right person who not only had the right skills but the right personality to fit our wedding.

Dave was incredibly easy. He is knowledgable, professional, and will give honest advice for timeline planning and traditions. And while most high end DJs will be good at the planning and prep work as well, where Dave really sets himself above the rest is when the music starts.

During our reception, Dave blended into the background, never drawing any attention to himself. He perfectly MC'd the night while allowing his music to do all of the talking. As stated before, Dave is among the best DJs not only in Pittsburgh but in the entire country. He has masted the art of DJing. He not only flawlessly mixes between songs but does in a way that is "musical" and is as if the original artist intended to do so.

For me, the most amazing detail was Dave's ability to read the crowd in a way that was leagues beyond what event I had come to expect. Not only was he able to select the perfect song for the dancefloor's crowd at every moment, he went so far as to tailor his song selection for when my Wife and I were able to take a second away from greeting guests. Every time we stepped onto the dancefloor the song would magically transition into one of our favorites. This was quite incredible becuase we trusted Dave and therefore had only a couple requests/do not plays listed on the planning forms. How he nailed our favorite songs is beyond me.

Dave is what you would get if you were to combine Beethovan, Yoda, and Tom Brady. And while that analogy might pain Dave as a Steelers fan, I do hope he realizes he is the GOAT.

If you are considering hiring a DJ for your wedding, the only decision should be what song Dave plays for your first dance.

Dave is INCREDIBLE! I am so very glad we were able to have him as our wedding DJ. He is incredibly professional, patient, responsive, and just a genuinely nice person. He did an amazing job of getting TONS of guests on our dance floor the entire night, because he played a great mix that both young and old were able to dance to. I personally had a hard time leaving the dance floor to attempt to talk to people because I did not want to miss a single song, they were all so perfect. His communication throughout the entire process was stellar - he was incredibly responsive and kept great track of all of our details (and he also remembered lots of things that slipped my mind!). I could go on and on about how amazing he is!

If you are worried about having a DJ that will play boring songs with awkward moments of silence in between (I have seen this at lots of weddings), you will not find that with Dave. He mixed everything seamlessly for hours of continuous party time - no one wanted the night to end! We also had Dave provide our uplighting, which he did an excellent job with as well - it was the exact color we were looking for. I cannot say enough good things about Dave - he is the BEST! Do not hesitate to book him for your wedding!

Dave is beyond professional, incredibly knowledgable, and most of all, so much FUN. I knew I wanted a DJ who didn't play the typical wedding style of music, and Dave did exactly what I had hoped for. One word of advice I was told when planning a killer wedding was, get an awesome DJ.. I sure landed the jackpot with Dave.. He helped me throw the best party of not only my life, but many of my guests also.. He was super chill, easy to work with, and stood by his word.. Everything I wanted to have played was played. He did a good job dealing with all my guests and bridal-party and the vendors. I felt his style was exactly what i was looking for and personally I couldn't say anything bad about the night, except he had to stop playing music when the venue was kicking us out.. Literally, everyone at my wedding was dancing THE WHOLE TIME!!. I had guests in their 60's and 70's laying down grooves and my niece age 10 jumping in joy as her favorite song was played... Book this man and book him now.. If you dont have fun with him as your wedding DJ, you either don't know how to have fun or your guests are dead. Dave thanks for everything brother. OMG, so much fun! He went above and beyond! All of the songs we requested he made into one awesome mix, it was freaking amazing! He read the crowd and I don't even think we had one slow song because everyone was having such a great time dancing. I really underestimated how much involvement the DJ has throughout the whole reception and he did an amazing job. From making announcements about food, happy hour, photobooth, keeping us on schedule with our first dance, cake cutting... I'm so happy we had him at the helm! He made our wedding an absolute party! Everyone had a blast and kept saying they've never had so much fun dancing at a wedding! He is also a super nice guy and I swear he smiled the whole time, he definitely enjoys his job! Don't even research any other DJ, book Dave!

As someone else said below, Best DJ Ever! Choosing a DJ is difficult since it's such an important part of the event and you're relying primarily on other people's reviews or experiences. DJ Digital Dave was recommended by our photographer (Caitlin Thomas--also amazing!) and I trusted her judgment. Dave is very responsive, professional and helpful. He helped me work out a smooth timeline of events during the reception and was overall very pleasant to deal with, as well as reasonably priced.

Most importantly, the man is talented and high energy. Our reception was at The Grand Concourse, which isn't a space terribly conducive to dancing. However, he had the dance floor packed the entire night! Anyone knows the DJ can make or break the fun level at a reception, and I was amazed at how many people were dancing AND stayed till the very end of the night! We've heard so many comments about how great he was, from guests and staff at the venue.

My husband and I requested a lot of songs, some which are fairly obscure, and he played all of them at just the right time. Specifically, Dave found a seemingly obscure live version of a Counting Crows song my husband had his heart set on for the last song of the night; he was thrilled! Our guests also told us that if a request was made, he played it, which is especially impressive because everything flowed so perfectly.

We could not be more pleased and absolutely recommend DJ Digital Dave. I know he will make your event as fun as ours was!

Picking a dj was probably the most difficult part of wedding planning. I stumbled upon Digital Dave when I noticed all of his 5 star ratings and amazing reviews. And let me tell you, he deserves all 5 stars! We had booked Dave early on and didn't meet face-to-face until the week before the wedding. By that point I was pretty exhausted and done with decision making. Dave was great and helped us with the timeline of the evening and suggested doing 2 fast songs after our first dance. Our friends loved this and we got a lot of comments afterwards saying how great of an idea that was. We asked for no slow songs and a mix of oldies and everything else. He made sure to include my parents favorite songs and kept us dancing all night long! I could go on and on about how amazing he was. Our friends could not stop talking about how awesome our wedding dj was and I am so glad we picked Digital Dave! Do yourself a favor and book him now!

DJ Digital Dave is on point. He did a fantastic job getting to know our musical tastes and then incorporating them into the music all night long. He did well handling the flow of the night -- he gave excellent suggestions as to good timing for toasts, first dances, etc. and always deferred to my decisions.

We threw Dave a curveball early when, because of rain, we changed the ceremony location to something we'd never discussed with him before. But he came through and put together a speaker setup on the fly that was perfect and made it seem like we were in the planned location all along.

The dancing was fantastic and I am still getting compliments on it from guests. Our music suggestions were mixed with great picks from Dave, and the result was a high energy dance party that lasted for hours and was very fun the whole time.

Dave didn't even flinch (except for checking with me) when my buddy grabbed the microphone to end our Fourth of July wedding by leading everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. Dave even came out to the bars with us afterward to celebrate!

DJ Digital Dave is undeniably amazing. We (and our wedding guests!) still talk about how rad he was. He worked with us to get the perfect playlist, and was able to quickly discern our tastes and riff off them very creatively. He kept the energy high all night and his MC skills were just as fantastic as his DJ skills. He sets the bar high. To put some icing on the cake, Dave was also a super cool, friendly, and thoughtful person to work with. I could not be happier with the totally awesome experience he provided for our wedding!

First of all let me start off by saying that I'm a DJ myself, so when my girlfriends sister tasked me with helping them find a DJ for their wedding I didn't take the decision on hiring Dave lightly. Having worked with Dave on dozens on occasions in the club & nightlife realm I knew he was the right man for the job. Leading up to the wedding Dave was an absolute pro, asking the right questions to determine the couple's unique tastes and getting a feel for the flow of the wedding.

Dave not only rocked the dancefloor ALL NIGHT, but also did a great job providing music and sound for their ceremony. The couple had really unique tastes musically and the manner in which Dave mixed from the classic party rocking tracks into their unique selections was nothing short of creative, smooth and done in a manner that didn't lose one person on the dance floor.

Long story short, Dave was awesome and if you're planning a wedding in the Pittsburgh area do yourself a favor and book him!

My husband and I knew that the DJ was one of the most important aspects of our wedding. We had a large guest list that likes to party and we knew that we needed someone professional that was going to be able to get everyone pumped up and keep the part rocking. Dave was our guy and he really came through. I asked a friend just recently how they enjoyed the wedding and their comment was "You know, you go to a wedding and you never really know how it is going to turn out. But at yours the music was awesome and everyone was up dancing the whole time. The dance floor was never empty. It was a blast" This is thanks to Dave. As the groom my biggest responsibility heading into the wedding was finding the right d.j and I did not want to screw it up. When it came to finding the right d.j. though, I really didn't know where to start other than searching the internet and reading various profiles. However, once we determined we wanted our wedding reception to be a "club-like" atmosphere, I immediately thought of Digital Dave. Having seen him play at the biggest and best nightspots all around Pittsburgh, I knew what I would be getting. He is extremely skilled at what he does, and is about as "modern" and up to date with music as you will find from any d.j. in the Pittsburgh area. The other thing that my wife and I were impressed with was his professionalism throughout. He was always prompt in returning our emails and phone calls, and provided us with an extensive planning guide so that we were all on the same page. Dave met with us prior to our big day to go over the reception plan from beginning to end. Once the reception came around, we had no worries that things would run smoothly. Digital Dave kept the party going all night! He did a great job choreographing the reception, without being the "center of attention." We had many compliments from our guests who danced all night. My wife and I would highly recommend Digital Dave to anyone looking for a modern, party atmosphere!

We picked DJ Digital Dave as our DJ because we wanted to make sure people danced at our wedding and had a great time. He completely exceeded our expectations, and people danced non-stop (even though it was really hot) right until the very end of the night. I received TONS of compliments on the DJ all night from people varying in ages. He did a good job of playing oldies that the older guests could enjoy and new songs that everyone enjoyed as well. He also was very professional from the time we hired him through the end of the wedding by setting up times to discuss with us leading up to the wedding, he had a detailed music list which included everything possible music related that needed to be known for the wedding night, he kept us on track in terms of timing throughout the wedding, and he was extremely reliable. To sum this review up, Dave made our wedding night even better than we could have imagined!

If you're looking for more than the typical wedding DJ, DJ Digital Dave is the man for you. Digital Dave offered a phone consultation to discuss my wedding style and music interests. Once booking, I received a detailed music planing sheet. Digital Dave was always responsive to emails and phone calls and worked well with my other vendors, especially my coordinator, venue and the band I had play before him. A bonus for me was being able to hear complete events he's done (not weddings, but special events) on outlets such as Soundcloud. On the wedding day, our requests were perfectly incorporated into a blend of the genres we love, top hits and requests made by guests. My guests were dancing in every nook and cranny of my venue and people were running out of the bathrooms to catch a song. I really liked that he was low key and barely needed to talk. His music did all the work. DJ Digital Dave is clearly in love with his profession and danced while working, leaving just as happy and sweaty as my elated guests. This man is top notch! If you aren't looking for a YMCA, We Are Family, working for a wedding company DJ, then book DJ Digital Dave.

Digital dave was fabulous!! He was very accommodating and played amazing music. Digital Dave is not just your standard DJ... He fully understands how to build and maintain energy on the dance floor, and his transitions are unreal - no fade out and fade in or sloppy track changes here! He can do his own mash-ups on the fly, and has a vast library of songs. I would highly recommend him for any event!

Having a great DJ at our reception was very important to us and our expectations were definitely exceeded. DJ Digital Dave was everything we wanted in a DJ! He brought a very appropriate mix of music for all generations while keeping the party going from beginning to end. Note from Mother of the Bride: I have to admit I put a lot of pressure on Dave when I told him we had attended a wedding where the DJ was “Questlove” the drummer for “The Roots” on Jimmy Fallons Tonight Show. I can’t believe what you delivered! I was referred to DJ Digital Dave by many people during the wedding planning process. Everyone continued to bring his name up when I asked for recommendations. The recommendations were not wrong he was AMAZING! When I met with him to discuss the details of the wedding he recommended we play 2 fun songs prior to dinner to get the party started. I can not begin to tell you how many people after the wedding said that was the best idea they had ever seen. After everyone was up and dancing for a couple songs they were ready to eat, drink and mingle. Once dinner was over, the dance floor was never empty. Everyone had a blast and it was all thanks to DJ Digital Dave! He mixed the music perfectly and there was never a break in music. Every time he transitioned into a new song all you heard was "OHHHH". At one point in the night a blew fuse and Dave was right there helping the wedding coordinator fix it. We could not have asked for a better night!

Digital Dave was GREAT at our wedding. We had a small wedding of 43 guests and I was worried about having everyone dancing, yet everyone was on the dance floor all night having the time of their lives! In addition, my partner and I planned multiple social interaction games, which we mentioned to Dave before the wedding but didn't really expect him to host them. Digital Dave was honestly the best DJ. I have been to several weddings and he kept the party going the entire night. All of my wedding guests still ask me who my DJ was and that they want to use him for future events. He was also able to help me with a large task of collecting first dance songs from several of our guests to be played during dinner about a week in advance. SO AMAZING, I don't even know where to begin! We held our wedding reception at the Fairmont Hotel on 9-7-2013. Music was very important to us and the overall vibe we wanted at our wedding was more like a nightclub you would find in Vegas/Miami rather than "just another wedding reception." After our very first meeting with Dave, we knew immediately that our wedding was in great hands. Digital Dave was responsive, professional, and truly understood our vibe. He was just as excited about our party as we were and knew we wanted to leave a lasting impression on our friends and family.

The day of, Dave was incredible! Dave kept the flow of our wedding timeline going seamlessly. Our wedding felt tailor-made because of the music and it was mixed so smoothly, like a nightclub. He played our requested songs, but we also noticed that he had really listened to even small suggestions we had made and the styles of music we liked. Our guests told us they've never danced so much and my husband and I spent the entire night on the dance floor with them - which is EXACTLY what we wanted! The few times I walked up to request a song on behalf of a guest, it came on seconds before I walked back on the dance floor. When the dreaded "last song" came on, we were so grateful Dave actually kept the party going another hour until 1:00AM. Our friends, our families, even our vendors raved about him! I can't say enough great things about Dave and the vibe he gave our entire reception!

We recommend Dave with our greatest confidence. We were able to really have the best night of our lives, thanks in large part to our DJ! We both agreed that Dave was the greatest guest at our wedding because he truly fit in! Thank you, Digital Dave, for exceeding our expectations in every aspect.

Amazing - We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dave. My husband and I have known Dave for about 10 years on a personal level and have watched him become one of the best deejays we've seen/heard.

Dave was very responsive and extremely professional. He guided us through what we needed to decide on for our wedding. We were so confident in Dave's skills and his ability to read the crowd that we allowed him to take charge and play what he thought the crowd wanted to hear.

On our wedding night, he was absolutely amazing. He got people dancing from the beginning of the night and kept them on the dance floor. I had given him a timeline of events during the night (cake cutting, parent dances, etc) and he stuck to it. Prior to the wedding, he even helped us 'mash-up' a mix of 10 different songs so we could have a choreographed wedding party dance!

My husband and I had the time our lives dancing the night away with our friends and family-- literally all of our guests were dancing the entire night until the lights came on!

Since our wedding, everyone has been talking about Dave--saying he was the best DJ -- and my husband and I 100% agree. We're recommending him to all of our friends and family!!

I'm writing this review as someone who never writes reviews for the one reason that if this review helps even one person book this DJ, then it will have been worth it because I want other people to have the wedding reception that I had, which was nothing short of amazing thanks to this DJ.

I film weddings myself and have been through a lot of DJ's (both terrible and just okay) but nothing like Digital Dave. He is truly a DJ that knows how to keep the party going for hours and not just for a few songs here and there. He'll play music that your college buddies and Grandma can simultaneously dance to and that's not something a lot of DJ's can do. To be more specific for those who don't know about DJ mixes, he won't just play one song, end it, and then play another. He blends all of the songs together so right when the music is about to tone down (normally the moment when people take a break and the dance floor becomes boring), he comes through with another song right at another high energy part, ensuring the party never stops.

Booking him is the best decision you can make if you want your wedding reception to truly stand out and be an amazing day from the morning of your wedding, to the last song of your reception.

Dave was the DJ and MC for my wedding on August 17, 2013. In short, he was amazing. He was great at being an MC without being showy or talking for too long (some complaints I have heard about other DJs). After we got through the formalities, Dave surprised us by asking us to head to the dance floor and had everyone get up and surround us, then played "I Gotta Feeling" to get the party started. It was unexpected and it truly did the trick. The dance floor was literally never empty the entire night, which was exactly what we had hoped for. I could not have asked for a better DJ and have been receiving compliments about him from friends and family ever since.

Dave also was accommodating to a number of requests, including adjusting the formal dance songs so they were shorter and changing one of the entrance songs literally at the last minute. He also managed to play pretty much every song we requested in advance, if not all.

I highly recommend Dave and would book him again in a heartbeat!

DJ Digital Dave is amazing. He far exceed our expectations, which was a difficult mission as we love music and had very high expectations. He absolutely nailed it for us. After an amazing dance band performed (Jason Kendall Band) he transitioned in smoothly, then took over and had us all dancing, even our friends and family who don't dance. Every song was well chosen and mixed in his unique and talented way. We gave him a wide range off music and artists that we like and he created the perfect flow of music in real-time. It was impressive and super fun. We are now trying to come up with another party idea so that we can have him come back and perform again. So awesome. Very highly recommended.

He was our DJ and we couldn't have been happier. Everybody at our wedding raved about him and how much fun they had because the music was perfect! Some DJ's excel at the music or at being an MC, but not both. Dave was perfect at both and I'm a little disappointed at the thought that I might have to attend a wedding where he won't be the DJ! Thanks so much Dave, keep up the good work!

Dave was awesome ! He kept the dance floor packed and was easy to communicate with throughout the entire planning process. I highly recommend him !

One of the best DJ's I've worked with! We're so glad we hired him! Definitely a professional, great at feeling out the crowd and flexible throughout the entire night and made our wedding fun and truly memorable! I'd highly recommend him for any DJ event, he was definitely worth our time and money! 5 stars all the way!

DJ Digital Dave spins at several popular local hangouts weekly, for local radio stations on occasion, and at national venues for real parties. so, lucky for me when he agreed to play tunes for my small wedding of 80 guests!
Dave provided some serious, quality beats for my friends and i. i was looking for someone to play current, danceable music. not stale wedding standards. Dave's experience and taste put him at the top of the list for such a request. i even emailed a few songs/artists that i am currently listening to, and heard just about every one during the party. expertly mixed, nonetheless. quality of service could not have been better.
i emailed Dave about three months before the wedding. he immediately responded. in fact, i just checked, and he got back to me within the hour. i had other people not respond to me for over a week.
Dave made sure to follow-up with me before the wedding. he asked about appropriate dress, original tracks or edited, and general questions to get a sense of what i wanted. Dave is a professional dj and acts as such.
i priced a few local djs and Dave's price was fair and consistent with respect to what i was looking for. i could likely have found a cheaper guy to play music for 5 hours, but i am confident that it would have been paled in comparison. Dave's price was fair considering the quality of service.
i do not doubt that Dave would have been flexible with any problems encountered, but i had none. he was certainly open to my personal music preferences and entertained song requests throughout the night.
DJ Digital Dave is a professional, experienced dj who will keep the energy at your party up all night. he was one of the best pieces of my wedding party and i would not hesitate to hire him for an event in the future.

Digital Dave was the best DJ I've ever seen/heard at a wedding. He is a true professional that was able to meet all of our special song request to create a unique experience. He makes it very simple, via website, to request songs to play and not play and create a custom itinerary. We had a quick meeting prior to review our notes and we were all set for a awesome night. He timed our introductions perfectly. Provided a wireless mic for the speeches. Played classy dinner music. Then the dance floor was packed all night with people of all ages. His mixing abilities are top-notch. I couldn't believe some of the songs I was heard mixed together seamlessly. He can go from oldies of the 50s to 80s to top 40 without missing a beat. Our guest raved about how much fun they had dancing, watching the dance floor and listening to the music. Music makes the reception in my opinion and if you want the best music go with Digital Dave. He also created a custom mix for our first dance song.
