The Deluxe Event Group

My husband and I can't say enough positive things about the Deluxe Event Group, they truly are exceptional. It was very important to us that we have an amazing DJ at our wedding that also fit within our budget constraints. We were very familiar with DJ Deluxe and how talented of a DJ he is from hearing him many times in downtown Raleigh, and even though we were having a destination wedding in Puerto Rico, it felt like a no-brainer to book the Deluxe Event Group for our wedding! They were the only Raleigh-based vendor we hired and we are beyond thankful that we did!

From our first consultation to the wedding day, Demar was so kind and professional, timely, and knowledgeable, he was great to work with. I consider him a master of his craft, and I immediately felt so comfortable and at ease knowing he would be DJing our wedding. About a month or two out from our event, Demar and Kevin initiated meeting with us and our planner to run through our reception timeline to ensure that everything would run smoothly. They even gave us guidance on what order to put protocol like the dances, dinner, and cake cutting in order to make everything smooth and seamless. We provided them with a 'must-play list' and a 'do not play list' (which I highly recommend), but let them shine and do their thing!

On the day of the wedding, Demar and Kevin were very professional and arrived early for set-up. They were absolutely flawless!! Every guest from younger people to my older aunts were up on the dance floor the entire night!! Even though our dance floor was uncovered, the music was so fire that our guests danced in the rain all night. The MCing was fabulous and made us feel like celebrities and made the protocols fun and entertaining for guests. It rained our entire wedding (which was an indoor/outdoor event), so we had to switch ceremony locations at the last minute. They were able to quickly pivot and set up fast in the new location and our ceremony music was perfectly executed.

If you are looking for a DJ for your destination wedding or local wedding and event, just stop looking now and hire the Deluxe Event Group!!

Literally the best

These guys were amazing! Everyone should hire them! Their song mixing was perfect and the volume was just right! Everyone complimented my wife and I and said the music was the best part of the wedding! 10/10 would hire these guys again!

I love working with Deluxe Event Group! When my couples are looking for a DJ team who knows how to manage the crowd, execute important events with class (like cake cutting, toasts, intros) and keep the party going all night long, they are on the top of my recommendation list!

I didn't expect my family to dance...

My family has always been notorious non-dancers. When we go to weddings, they might be guilted into getting up and dancing for a song or two, but only as long as they have to. And my Dad was tearing up the dance floor all night! He asked us if we had designed the playlist ourselves! (Of course we did not, though we gave the DJ our input). Aside from delivering a great dancing list, they also did a great job matching the mood for the different stages of the evening, from the toasts, to the dinner, to the last dance. They were also a pleasure to work with, and kept in great contact throughout the planning process. They stuck with us through venue and date changes, as well as guest count changes, which all happened due to COVID. My husband and I were both very impressed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or hire them again if we needed a DJ in the future!

DJ Deluxe were amazing!

DJ Deluxe was one of the best vendor choices I made for my wedding. The biggest thing I cared about was the DJ/ dancing and they did not disappoint. From the initial call to the final prep leading up to the wedding, they were a joy. They always made me laugh and really calmed my nerves during a stressful time. It was a huge plus having both a DJ and an emcee included in our package. It was like having our own personal hype man and I loved every minute of it. I would definitely hire them again!

A highlight of the rehearsal dinner and wedding! Had everyone dancing on both sides of the family

DJ Deluxe made our night SO fun and had everyone on the dance floor- from grandparents, to our friends, and kids. While my family is used to dancing to American top 40 music at weddings, and my husband's family , Arabic music, they found a way to keep the dance party going the entire time with the perfect playlist. The uplighting was perfect and looked amazing in the photos as well. They truly got to know us individually and tailored every detail to fit our requests- so many of our friends asked us who our DJ was after having so much fun at our wedding- thank you DJ deluxe!

Holy Crap - Book Them

I am a very Type A planner and was anxious to trust a company that I have never worked with before with our wedding music & emceeing. When DJ Deluxe told me not to create a playlist and leave it to him, I was nervous. But boy, am I glad that I did! These folks MADE our wedding. The music was perfect for all generations and Brooke did a fantastic job keeping everything moving. We got so many complements from our friends (party crowd) and older family members alike! Definitely book these guys - Kevin is super easy to work with and Demar & Brooke were fantastic on the day of. I would definitely book them again!

Made my entire wedding!

Wow, just wow! DJ Deluxe made my entire wedding, truly. From start to finish, they brought the energy to our wedding and made everything flow smoothly! They took our vision and more than exceeded our expectations! A DJ can MAKE your wedding - I realized after hiring them that they are the most IMPORTANT detail on your day. BOOK THEM FOR YOUR WEDDING! Everyone said it was the BEST wedding they’ve ever been to, how the DJ was AMAZING, and I had friends ask who they were because they want to book for THEIR wedding! They made the crowd laugh, everyone from all ages danced, and no one was sitting in their seats. I cant thank them enough for their professionalism, kindness, TALENT, and for making my wedding everything I dreamed of - and more!

The uplighting was PERFECT and really set the tone for the dance floor! The acoustics were spot on!

Kevin met with me months in advance to talk through my must have songs and a timeline. I changed my timeline last minute (2 days before the wedding!) and they worked through the night to modify it - more than I could have asked for!

Great DJ Entertainment

Restoring the Faith in Wedding DJs

Kevin and DJ Deluxe were absolutely awesome!!! The dance floor was packed all night, and the mixing/transitions of songs were perfect. We had a chance to chat with both of them a few days before to help make our playlist, and the night of our wedding it was obvious they truly understood us as a couple. At one point a friend walked up and let us know our DJ restored their faith in wedding DJs. Can't think of a better compliment.

The price was super reasonable and 100% worth it. Thanks guys!

Autopilot your wedding music

I was a planner to the T with our wedding, but luckily I could relax when it came to the music!! We had a few must haves and overall genre requests and the DJ Deluxe duo was able to deliver beyond my wildest dreams. After the wedding, people were asking for the playlist!

Everyone was on the dance floor from the minute the reception began to when it ended! It was more than I ever anticipated and the guests keep asking me if they are located in their state. They also provided the lighting which was beautiful, filled the space with light and I believe the colors changed a few times. They were both fun and exciting to work with, and I will definitely use again.

Kevin and his team were amazing! Kevin was very thorough throughout the planning process and had great attention to detail. He responded to emails within minutes and was always extremely helpful. I would recommend the DJ Deluxe team to anyone in need of an extremely professional DJ who brings the party! They covered everything from ceremony music, cocktail hour music, and the reception.

I booked DJ Deluxe for my wedding this past weekend and I must say he was a hit! My guests danced the night away and he did a great job feeling out the crowd and playing songs that got them moving. Besides the great dancing music, he acted as a second coordinator, making sure that the wedding was keeping to the schedule and helping to dismiss my guest tables for the buffet. I would definitely recommend him!

I would asolutely give them a 5 star rating, they brought an elegance to my wedding that set it off the charts. Not only are their dj's the best, but they also do lighting and monograms!! One of my favorites of the night was seeing me and my husbands name in elegant writing scanning the floor all night long. I have beautiful pictures of that monogram and the uplighting was the perfect shade to bring just enough light into the evening scene. These gentlemen are professional, efficient, and they made sure that everything is satisfactory for us. You don't need to look any further than right here if you want THE BEST!!!

DJ Deluxe was simply amazing! My husband and I absolutely loved Kevin's services! The flow of our event went smoothed due to Kevin's attentiveness and preciseness! My guest kept asking where did you find your DJ! They loved his flow and the variety of the music! I had not met DJ Deluxe until the day of the wedding. I would recommend DJ Deluxe to ANYONE throwing a wedding! Kevin and his staff did our ceremony and reception. They were absolutely fantastic. We had some pretty high maintenance requests on editing some music for the ceremony, and they executed it flawlessly. They picked great music for the dance floor and kept the party going all night. I had at least 20+ people compliment us on our music choices throughout cocktail hour and dancing. Every time I said, "These aren't my choices--this is all the DJ!!"

Not only that, but these guys were a great value. Our quote from them was way less than some of the other wedding DJ's. I have other friends getting married this year, and I definitely gave them Kevin's card. I can't speak highly enough!

Highly recommend. Easiest vendor we worked with for our wedding. Price is good, professional and easy to work with. We had a custom playlist and they actually followed it, as well as reception requests! Had a blast with them.

The service was perfect from beginning to end! The best hands down! As a first time bride and planner of my wedding, it was really nice to not have to worry about the DJ. If anything they definitely took great care of me! Everything was perfect and actually how I wanted it! Definitely worth more than 5!

DJ Deluxe was amazing!! We gave them an idea of what music we wanted for each part of the event and they nailed it! DJ Deluxe pumped up the room when it was time to party and everyone had a blast!! DJ Deluxe and team were the ultimate professionals. Not only was their attention to detail extraordinary, they made sure that the music brought to life our vision of how the reception should be. The age group ranged from 70+ to teenagers and everyone had a BLAST. From the lighting to the DJ Setup to their attire, everything was TOP NOTCH. We still have people that attended our wedding asking about the DJ as they enjoyed dancing all night long. Along with the music, the MC services filled a gap that made the introductions and ceremony itinerary go very smooth. I cannot say enough great things about DJ Deluxe. We had a wonderful experience with them. Will always use them for future events. They are now are personal DJs!!!

DJ Deluxe was a pleasure to work with! They were so organized, had everything set up perfectly, so kind and accommodating to work with. Kevin was so nice and has such an upbeat personality! If it tells you anything, they were the best overall vendor that we had at the wedding!! From the first song to the very last the dance floor was full of people dancing all night long! I saw quite a few of my family members and friends who NEVER dance- dance and enjoy themselves and had a blast! The music playlist (the followed our requests perfectly and played songs that we love and did not even think to request!) was perfect and the transitions made between songs was so smooth! I highly recommend DJ Deluxe for ANY and ALL events! FYI - I'm not the type to write reviews but DJ Deluxe deserves the highest of praise!! Thank you thank you thank you for making our day fun and magical!!

DJ Deluxe and everyone around him did such an amazing job making our wedding the party we were hoping for! Working with Kevin from the beginning of the process was easy and made me feel like they really understood what I was asking for. DJ deluxe did a great job with the music for the ceremony and played exactly what we were hoping for during the cocktail hour. I can't say enough about how awesome he made the reception. He really knows how to read the room, keep everyone on the dance floor, and make the party great. We got so many complements on the DJ the night of and at our brunch after the wedding. My experience was absolutely AMAZING!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend them! They helped out with all last minute changes and kept me calm throughout the whole process. Kevin and DJ Deluxe were AMAZING!! They exceeded beyond me and my husband's expectations! We knew we made the right choice for a DJ for our wedding reception from the first meeting we had with them. Their professionalism is top notch and they were the highlight of our wedding reception! So many people told us how much they enjoyed the music and they definitely kept the party going all night! And the lighting that was provided was excellent! I could go on and on, but you will be making the absolute best choice with DJ Deluxe!! DJ & MC were awesome!. Almost every guest were on their feet dancing! Kevin, you were amazing! My reception could not have turned out any better. Thank you for making our day even more special and memorable. The uplighting and monogram were beautiful and added an extra touch of class and elegance. The gentlemen at DJ Deluxe were wonderful to work with for our special day for our daughter and now son-in-law! They were easy to talk with and tailored the music selections to our requests and chose the rest well for the varied group who attended the wedding. They worked with us within an extremely tight timeline due to the venue and delays beyond our control and were a calming influence as we tried to fit in everything planned. Extremely happy with DJ Deluxe and would recommend them to everyone! I used DJ Deluxe for my wedding and of all the folks I had to work to get the wedding together this company was by far the most professional. At our first meeting for the wedding Kevin laid out a very clear presentation of the range of services they offer and what I can expect from them. He had videos to demonstrate what he was talking about. Plenty of literature as examples too. I was immediately at ease knowing the DJ services were one part of the wedding I did not have to stress about. Kevin was extremely accommodating to my requests, was super prompt with communication, always showed up early and is such a wonderful and pleasant person to be around. The day of the wedding everything went off perfectly, Kevin and the DJ were great at improvising, reading audience cues and helped to provide my wedding guests with the time of their life. I seriously can't give DJ Deluxe enough praise. I am so happy to have hired this company.

DJ Deluxe was great!! Very friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. They really took our song/music preferences to heart and came up with an outstanding playlist that kept us and our guests dancing all night! Many of our guests commented that they really liked the music selections. We also really enjoyed the up-lighting package that we added from DJ Deluxe--it added a nice touch to the venue. Overall we are very happy with our decision to use DJ Deluxe!!

We're a little late on the review but we kept talking with friends and family that attended our wedding back in January and at some point in the conversation it would always end up going back to that night and how much fun they had and how great the DJs were. DJ Deluxe was awesome! They were great with the mic work, bridal party introductions, they kept everyone on their feet all night and not a single guest left early. These guys put on a show! Highly recommended.

DJ Deluxe and his team was one of the best highlights of our Chapel Hill wedding. The forms he provided us with really assisted with giving us a feel for how the ceremony plus reception would turn out and it allowed everyone- officiant, wedding planner, caterer, etc.- to be on the same page. In addition to the DJ forms, we provided DJ Deluxe with a playlist and he pretty much stuck to it all night. We would not hesitate a second to refer him to anyone who was inquiring about a DJ for their upcoming event. Thank you DJ Deluxe and Kevin Pettiford!!!

DJ Deluxe was amazing and incredibly reasonable in price. We had a blast and they really gave the reception the best energy! We had so much fun and we danced all night! They came out to the site several times before the wedding day to make sure it went perfect. And little did we know they had a surprise video for us at the end. When people look back on this night, they will remember the fun we had thanks to DJ Deluxe!

We were so happy with DJ Deluxe! We asked them to give us a fun wedding where everyone got up and danced all night, and they really delivered. I still have people coming up to me and telling me that they have never danced so much at a wedding. Kevin was really great to work with, he was one of the few vendors we had that always responded quickly and was always helpful with any questions we had. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fun wedding.

Kevin from DJ Deluxe was great! Before we even booked him, he came out to our venue and we discussed and walked around. It was helpful for us that he felt comfortable at the venue. He was very helpful throughout the entire process and made it very easy for us. He was always on time and even came out to our Wedding rehearsal. The day of, him and his team were awesome! they played music that we requested and made sure our guest had a great time. DJ Deluxe was very professional and a pleasure to work with. My husband and I recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with an upscale event covering the 3 decades of our union...from meeting in the 80's, marrying in the 90's...celebrating the new millennium with the birth of our first child & now, here we are, wondering how the years could fly by so fast! My now husband told me "baby I will write the review for DJ Deluxe" who DJ at our wedding but as the Bride & someone who loves music & loves to dance I had to give my own review. The music that Kevin & the DJ Deluxe crew played was awesome! I stated that I wanted my Wedding to be a celebration not a funeral where everyone remained in their seats & DJ Deluxe delivered. I don't recall seeing the dance floor empty after cocktail hr. & dinner. My husband who is not much of a dancer & my grandmother who is over 85 & has arthritis were up on the dance floor keeping up with our families & friends. some who I had not seen in Yrs. DJ deluxe played music that everyone enjoyed and kept them on the Dance Floor. I asked for tasteful up tempo music while Cocktail hr. & dinner were underway & DJ Deluxe provided just that people were eating & dancing in their seats. My mission after dinner was to celebrate & dance with my new husband & our families & friends, with the energy that DJ Deluxe brought to the reception no one left the dance floor. DJ Deluxe set up Simultaneously at the location of our wedding ceremony & wedding reception so it was a very smooth transition for our wedding guest leaving the ceremony & arriving at the reception. All music selected & played for both our ceremony & reception was delivered on time and of great audio quality. DJ Deluxe was absolutely amazing. The timing and preparation of the music was directly on point. They did a wonderful job with my ceremony and the reception, even at the last minute. Kevin was extremely professional, polite, skilled, and organized, which made our choice an easy one. Everyone really enjoyed themselves at the Reception. From the moment the DJ started playing music, it was non stop enjoyment with songs that everyone was able to get into. i really enjoyed working with this team of DJs. We throw parties here and there, and this is going to be my go to. I highly recommend anyone looking for a DJ for any occasion to consider. We had a ball.

I booked Dj Deluxe for my NYE Event & I must say the Versatility he has is an Art. I had friends & family come in from out of town who said to me, this was one of the Best events on New Years they have attended in a while. I’ve had the pleasure of attending a Masquerade Party DJ Deluxe worked. I was thoroughly pleased. I wasn’t a part of the hiring process but what an EXCELLENT choice! My friends and I danced all night. He was very nice and played the right songs at the perfect time. Every single person at our dance commented on the quality of the DJ. Many people said it was the BEST wedding dance they have ever been to. Deluxe fulfilled and exceeded our expectations. Where do I begin!! We have our families and friends telling us that our reception was the “Party of the year”!! They said everything was perfect. The DJ hit all the generations of music, even the young adults! My son never dances and Deluxe our DJ got him to dance! My favorite part was the Garter toss! Parker made my husband dance until everyone agreed he was dancing good enough to get close to me to take the garter! We had people laugh so hard they were crying!! I cannot state enough good things about the service we got. It was absolutely the BEST reception ever!!! This was far more than what we expected! We love you DJ Deluxe…My husband asked me “where did you find this company”? I told him I googled, he said great job!

Dj Deluxe kicked some serious butt. Of all the component parts of our wedding day, I was most worried about getting a DJ experience that didn’t feel forced, played contemporary hits, and got people having legitimate fun. Dj Deluxe exceeded all of our expectations by a significant margin. I had more than a dozen experienced wedding-goers say he was the best DJ they’d ever seen at a wedding. And it all came at a price that we couldn’t believe. I would’ve paid double for our experience, and still been happy at the value it gave us. I would have had a hard time saying what it would take for me to go out of my way and recommend a wedding DJ before this experience, and now I know. Excellent website, amazing price, and above all, the perfect DJ. Well done and thank you again Dj Deluxe. Hope you had half as much fun as we did.

We used DJ Deluxe for our launch party of the 2014 Toyota Tundra and Corolla at Leith Toyota. He has a name and brand that resonates in the Raleigh nightlife scene. He made an impressive impact on our customers and kept them around to view our vehicles. His music was very upbeat, clean and family oriented which made our event a huge success! We really enjoyed using DJ Deluxe! We didn't have too much time to meet in person so we actually met over Skype and we immediately knew we wanted to book them. Very personable and fun. There was a point in the reception that we thought we had our first dance but actually we had planned for the fathers speech first but Kevin stayed on top of it the whole time. We even decided we wanted them to come to our after party at the last minute and they picked up their stuff in no time to set up at a different venue for the after party. We're really glad we worked with them!
