Josh was a great DJ!
The DJ we had, Josh, did a great job of making our day amazing! From the pre-ceremony music, the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and a packed dance floor! Also great sound quality and easy wireless/ lav mics for the ceremony and toasts. The owner, Alex, was very helpful in the planning stages and was great at helping us get our vision from our heads to the big day! Would recommend for anyone looking for a DJ!

Rolling With The Punches
Alex was very helpful and flexible in helping to get ready for our daughter’s wedding. We had to make a venue change 60 days from the date and Alex was a key player to help us reimagine what the wedding would look and feel like at the new venue. He rolled with us into a new plan, helped with finalizing a functional layout, and was a big help to keep the party rolling on the big day. We could not have done it without his help.

The Babbitt Wedding
This entire experience was incredible, first off the Dj we were going to use canceled two months prior to our wedding date!!! In a panic I reached out to DJ Cutt entertainment and from the first zoom meeting I knew that it was the right choice. They were able to accommodate the wedding day. The entire experience from the first interaction to when the DJ was packing up his gear was incredible. I make music myself so I was going to judge the BPM and layering from a distance while still being the groom. It was perfect. The wedding had over 200 and to get everyone on the same page is not easy. Our DJ (Sterling) did just that to make our day as special as it could be. Big shout out and highly recommend.

DJ’d our wedding
I went with DJ Cutt based on a recommendation from a friend and I’m glad we did! My then fiancé was on the fence about hiring a DJ at first but he agreed he was so glad we did it because Chad made it such a vibe. Perfect cocktail and dinner hour vibes, the dance floor took a sec to pickup but when it did it was happenin. It was really nice having microphones and a mic man for transition phases. And the ceremony music would have sounded sad without the big speaker setup. Alex was professional to work with leading up to the wedding also. Really glad we hired this DJ service and I would definitely recommend.

Alex and his team were very very easy to work with. They were professional and incorporated our feedback seemlessly. We love the end video product! It was also very nice booking both the DJ service and the videographer together. Easier to coordinate music, mics and filming. Also the DJ kept the party going. Get cold sparklers!
Cold sparklers were the perfect way to end our event. I was advised that the venue appreciates and your guests will benefit from knowing when the event is over. I had been to a wedding where all the guests held burning sparklers as the couple made their exit and these were way better. No worry that someone’s gonna poke anybody in the eye, no fire risk, and the effect in photos is absolutely stunning.

Magical day!
For our wedding we had at the end of April, we really wanted fireworks which are very special and meaningful to the both of us, but we couldn't afford the 20k that would've cost and with the wind it just wasn't gonna work. We ended up exploring cold sparks as an option and it turned out even better than we thought. Our wedding planner got us quotes from about 4 different vendors and we ended up going with DJ Cutt and they did not disappoint. Not only were they super responsive, they had everything together, great price, and did a fantastic job. We had a choreographed first dance, and we wanted the sparks to go off at a certain point during the song and they did it beautifully. The girl who was manning everything was super nice and they were just wonderful to work with. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Captured Every Moment
We have hosted events for 25 years and chose DJ Cutt of Portland Event Films for our daughter's wedding. Having been around the industry and seeing all of the different vendors, we were pretty tough customers since this was the first time hosting for one of our own. The entire wedding celebration was a 10 out of 10. We cannot say enough good things about Alex and the quality and execution of a flawless event. All weddings have something or a few things you wish you could have done differently or had thought about after the fact. We could not have imagined this wedding going any better, and the feedback from our guests has been overwhelming. Alex captured every moment, and if everything is as good as the preliminary videos, we cannot wait to see the finished product. Weddings are stressful in many ways, but not this one. Bring the party
We were so fortunate to be connected with Alex. He was one of the most instrumental people of our wedding day. Sound, lights, music (DJing and live musicians), and even special touches like the cold sparks and photobooth really tied everything together. We had a big ask, multiple sites between outdoor ceremony and tented reception with 125 guests. He made transitions seamless from our entrance to toasts to our first dance, a live contra dance, and late night DJing. He really went above and beyond at every turn.

From our very first meeting we could tell Alex was an absolute pro. He asks only the right questions and doesn't need much of your time to get his plan in place. His communication is timely and efficient.
On the day of the wedding he was there right at the beginning of setup. We had separate areas for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing that all needed speakers and/or microphones and he knew exactly where to place his equipment to make everything perfect and smooth.
Alex is very flexible when it comes to music choices - you can choose some, all, or none of the music that you want played for each part of the wedding. We chose some of the songs and let Alex flesh out the playists, and he did an amazing job. He kept the dance floor packed even though we didn't really think of our guests as a dancing group!
When you are planning a wedding there are a thousand decisions to make and a million things to worry about, but working with DJ Cutt means you won't spend a single second worrying about the DJ or sound system.

Alex from Portland Event Films Was a Lifesaver!
We can’t say enough about how Alex from Portland Event Films saved our wedding! From the get-go, Alex was incredibly professional and easygoing, making everything feel effortless. On our big day, he worked his magic behind the scenes, capturing every key moment and making sure nothing was missed. Your wedding day is a stressful one- I sure was! But as soon as I saw the cameras set up during our ceremony, I felt lighter.
The final video was beyond amazing—it truly felt like Alex saved the day by capturing both the emotional and fun sides of our wedding. Every part of the day, from the early preparations to the wild celebrations, was included, and the highlight reel had us and all our guests tearing up with joy. We were blown away!!

I as a wedding planner, had a fabulous time working with DJ Cutt and his team. They were responsive, attentive, flexible and very kind all throughout our planning process. I am supper appreciative of their online planning tools- was super helpful in sharing wedding details. They adapted on the fly, were incredibly professional, fun and a pure joy to work with. We loved working with our day-of Dj, Stan G. ( DJ187) - quite literally my most favoirte DJ I've worked with so far! He knew how to work the crowd, had some great hits, took my direction and edits well and the crowd love him. Also probably the best and most full dance floor i've seen so far this season.

Alex spent the time to get an understanding of exactly what we wanted and worked with our other vendors, including the venue to make sure all went according to plan and we had nothing to worry about. Alex is extremely professional and punctual for the event and all meetings we had. Lots of options to choose from including uplights, photo booth, and speakers for different parts of the venue. Amazing DJ! Kept the party going!
DJ Cutt was the best DJ I have had the experience of working with!! He was attentive and thoughtful when we were having our planning meetings and day off was just above and beyond!
He played all our listed must haves, made sure if my husband was requesting a song on the fly it would be played directly after the request, he brought cold sparks and uplights which really just brought up the scale of our event and tent.
I would recommend him to any bride!

If you want to have a fun wedding...
Alex was incredible to work with. The forms he gave us when we booked him were incredibly straightforward and user friendly. There was a lot of communication between us from the time we booked him up to the wedding and if we had any questions or concerns the responses were very prompt. I wanted my ceremony with very specific songs and it was very untraditional but it went PRECISELY as I wanted because he made sure to cater everything to exactly to my requests. We were unsure if all of his package was worth it because we had such a small wedding (50ish ppl) but it was absolutely worth every penny. All people will remember is the dancing, vibes, (and food but he wasnt involved in that lol) and he made sure that the vibe was perfect and people were always dancing. The photobooth was also very fun and a huge hit. I loved customizing the photo template! All of DJ Cutts staff were very nice and I 100% credit him with contributing to how well and smooth our wedding went. THANK YOU ALEX.

Alex and his team were great to work with! The forms were easy to fill out, and playlists were easy to make through Spotify. I could quickly link each playlist to his form, so that we were sure to listen to the type of music my (now) husband and I enjoy. He was flexible with last minute changes on where we held our ceremony, and included his professional opinion on sound, microphones, and up lighting. I would for sure book with him again!

Amazing Wedding DJ
Music was one of the most important aspects of our wedding since my husband and I are big concert goers. Alex was wonderful to work with, super professional, clear, and always quick to respond. The online form system was so organized and let me create the musical vibe I was going for. I also appreciated how flexible he was about my design vision. My venue looked so beautiful in the uplighting and he even created a custom light monogram for us based on the monogram we used on our invitations and displayed it on the walls and dancefloor. The night was amazing, we got to dance with our friends and family for hours and had so much fun, all of our guest can't stop raving about how great the music and energy were. Wonderful DJ services
DJ Cutt was incredibly responsive and very organized and professional. The owner , Alex Ramey, was very quick to answer our questions and the DJ assigned to our son’s wedding ( DJ Gomez) was amazing, professional and timely. He did an amazing job and unfortunately had to deal with a family member who was unruly with him. He and the wedding planner handled the situation well and my husband apologized to the DJ and planner for the incident. The newlywed game during the event was fun and entertaining. Do not hesitate to contract with them! We were at the Griffin House in Hood River, so, an additional speaker set up was needed so that is why the cost was increased, but it did make it better!

All the words can't do DJ Cutt the service he deserves in recognizing his beyond incredible performance at our wedding reception. For starters, he was easy to work with, professional, communicative, and attentive. At the event itself his playlist, transitions, ability to read the room, accept requests, and even customize a silly karaoke moment before our first dance was completely above and beyond all expectations. Our guests raved about him, and even our friends who work as caterers and event coordinators stopped by to ask how we found such a good DJ because he just stands out that much better than the rest. My wife and I would highly recommend DJ Cutt as the DJ for any wedding! Alex did an excellent job of not only keeping the dancefloor alive and excited, but also did a good job throughout the course of the entire day (ceremony, reception, etc) at MCing the event. Throughout the planning process, Alex was extremely professional, communicative, and organized, making sure that we were aligned on exactly what we were wanting at each moment, what sort of music, and how to communicate. On the day of the wedding, Alex did a great job MC’ing and was flexible with last minute schedule changes.
Most importantly though, Alex did a fantastic job DJing the dance floor! He combined both western and Bollywood songs to give us the fusion feeling that we were looking for, and all of our guests had a wonderful time. From the start of the dancing until the final song, there was barely anyone standing on the side due to how high the energy level was!
Music and song is critical to your wedding day, and DJ Cutt did a great job of making it special for us.

Do you know what makes a wedding great? The DJ at the reception! Alex did an fantastic job from the moment we booked him to the end of our wedding when he played our exit song! He was super professional making sure that the photographers, videographers, and wedding planner were all on the same page as he was. DJ Cutt took the time to ask lots of questions before our wedding to make sure we had the wedding we envisioned and accomidated all of our request for special songs. When I walked into the reception venue I was amazed by the lighting he had placed in the room, it made the entire space seem magical. His happy high energy was drawing everybody to the dancefloor all night and keeping them there with the songs, We all were dancing all night! Alex was very kind, attentive, and flexible. His team was prompt and got some really beautiful shots. My DJ's equipment was unfortunately stolen the night before our wedding but Alexs quick thinking saved the day! He was able to bring and let my dj borrow some equipment. Everything went so smooth without a hitch !
The final video product was excellent and well done. It was clear that he did his homework and included everything we wanted and worked tirelessly to edit and reedit it until it was perfect.

Alex was the best! From the moment we met with him, he was always professional and knew exactly what he was talking about, both in terms of how to ensure that there were always a ton of people on the dance floor, as well as playing the songs that we wanted to hear. DJs and more importantly, the music, can really make or break the event, but he really went above and beyond to make sure the speeches flowed seamlessly, and he also went out of his way to work with a special guest we had perform a song at the reception. Additionally, he provided excellent lighting, which really made the dance floor pop! So many of our guests came up to me during and after the wedding to say how much they enjoyed the music. He also provided a photo booth, with props geared towards our theme (it was a British + American wedding), and those photos will be treasured forever. Alex is the best - we cannot recommend him more and we would definitely work with him again!

Alex did such an amazing job on our wedding. He created such high energy throughout the wedding, people were on the dance floor the whole night. Everything went so smoothly, and if there was any sort of hiccup, you wouldn’t have had any idea because of him. He was always available and on time for any meetings and phone calls we had planned. Alex kept with the timeline of the wedding, stayed focused with the photographer, videographer, coordinator, helped make sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. Alex was very helpful throughout out the whole wedding planning process. He met up with us to go over wedding planning, he always answered my calls and talked me through the process of the day. Alex showed up on time ready to go and works hard to make your day so special. His sound system is exceptional and he caters to the type of music you enjoy. He helps with the flow of the wedding and every transition was so smooth! We were SO happy to have him there on our big day!!

If I could give 10 stars I would! Well done Alex! Alex not only promised to get all the family, many 35+ out on the dance floor, but he delivered his promise, and all without Alcohol served at the wedding. Many of the family had never met each other before as well, and with Alex's help, they all began to bond and socialize with his common sense for the best music to play and dancing! Also, Alex kept the schedule with the photographer, officiant, and the timeline set for the wedding ceremony and reception, and provided the additional uplighting that set the tone for the wedding reception and first dance. I'm glad I listened to his advice as the DJ professional for the lighting for the wedding, as the up lighting made the dance portion of the wedding pop! As a new young bride, and inexperienced at the wedding scene, I was able to leave so many of the logistics, music, and dance details in Alex's capable hands and he helped me to pull off "one of the best weddings, my family has ever been too" and the calls and emails are still pouring in ranting and raving about the dance portion of the wedding! Thank you Alex for setting my mind at ease and for allowing me to focus on enjoying the day and being with friends and family, than worrying about wedding logistics. You truly out did yourself and I look forward to working with you in the future and recommending your services to anyone I meet! Best wishes to you for many years to come!

Great experience with DJ Cutt and his Team!! They were flexible and easy to work with. Their response time to my emails were FAST!! They became a huge part of my wedding. They took time to visit my venue with me prior to our wedding. My guests are still talking about how great the music was. The up lighting they provided was beautiful!! I was incredibly impressed with them!! I had them be in charge with my Ceremony and Reception music. They gave me a piece of mind. They explained everything to me and gave me great ideas to enhance the fun. I am hoping to have them for my 40th birthday party. We loved them.

The planning forms that are provided on his website are very detailed and easy to fill out. Alex showed up early for set up and was extremely professional throughout the night. The entire wedding had a very seamless flow from start to finish. Many of our guests commented on how great of a DJ Alex is and how much fun they had because of him. Alex was professional, responded to us in a timely manner throughout the planning process. He was organized and worked seamlessly with the venue manager and photographer to keep us on schedule. The sound quality was perfect for the toasts and speeches and he read the crowd and kept the energy level high and fun. Everyone was up dancing and laughing and having a wonderful time. DJ Cutt (Alex) was extremely professional and easy to work with. His website made picking our “must play” and ceremony songs a breeze, but honestly, we just let Alex decide on the rest of the music! He kept our guests (and my new husband and I) on the dance floor all night long! I couldn't be happier with DJ Cutt (Alex). We hired him as DJ, emcee, and for uplighting. With Alex as emcee, the wedding had a seamless smooth flow, even though we had unexpected inclement weather. The uplighting was beautiful and unobtrusive, creating a lovely ambiance. Alex was extremely professional from start to finish. We spoke over the phone many times prior to the wedding -- largely due to me being unsure what songs to play -- and he was responsive, patient, and highly competent the entire time, putting my mind at ease. His planning forms were easy to use and helped me figure out what events to have on the special day. On the days leading up to the wedding, I forgot to provide him with various bits of info, but he took care of everything on the day-of nevertheless. Alex showed up early and had everything 100% ready to go on time. I honestly have no idea how the wedding would have even happened without him. I certainly wasn't going to be keeping track of the time -- I was having the time of my life! -- but Alex had all the events start on time. He was also accommodating to the flow of the events, so that the change of events felt like a smooth transition the entire time. Afterwards, SO many people told me it was the best organized wedding they had ever been to, and I don't think that was due to me -- I think it was due to Alex's amazing emceeing. As for the music, my husband and I aren't dancers, but the music was amazing and high-energy and we ended up dancing the entire night. Alex provided recommendations on the type of music to play at the various events, and we just left the dancing music up to him. He played songs that got people of all ages dancing at the beginning, transitioned to younger music in the middle, and got my entire family dancing all together at the end. It was the most memorable day of my life. Thank you, Alex!

DJ Cutt delivered! Our wedding location at Mt. Hood was a bit complicated with multiple locations separated by chairlift. Alex went out and met with our coordinator at the location beforehand to make sure he was prepared. On the day of, he was there plenty early to get things ready. The ceremony went perfect. Our reception was a party! The uplighting provided by DJ Cutt helped to enhance our late night photos. DJ Cutt listened to our needs and on the day of worked with our coordinator to make sure all went smoothly. It was well worth it, and I am happy that we decided to use DJ Cutt for the whole event instead of trying to piece it together and do parts on our own.

He helps takes a ton of stress off the music selection as he knows what is best to play. You can be as specific as you want with the playlist of you can let him fill in all the blanks, like we did! he is very easy to contact, always prompt on response. would defiantly use him again on another event.

Having Alex as our dj was priceless. We didn't realize the importance or need for an Mc until we met with him and talked through all the things we wanted to happen and the time line for them. Our worries were put to rest. He did a great job w it h managing our time line and keeping everyone entertained and everything on schedule. If you're wondering if you need a dj for your wedding you DO! It's one less thing to worry about. Thanks for the great job Alex.

DJ Cutt Entertainment (aka Alex) was professional and more than just a great DJ. He was a high energy MC and engaging to our guests, he provided lighting/uplighting to liven up our blank-slate reception space, and does videography as an option! He attended a site visit with our wedding coordinators and had easy online planning forms for our wedding day. He was punctual, stuck to our timeline, and our wedding reception ran smoothly. Our guest all enjoyed the music at our reception and he was loyal to our requested song choices. Alex was a pleasure to work with. If you want to host a kick ass event I would highly recommend DJ Cutt Entertainment!

Dj Cutt was really easy to work with. He engaged with asking questions about our wedding planning and how we wanted everything set up. My wife and I were very happy with how professional he was and his high energy. Our guests had a great time at our wedding and complemented us on our dj. Alex did an awesome job throughout the whole process of our wedding. He was very professional from start to finish and everything went very smoothly from the planning and throughout the whole event. Along with the general package we added 10 uplights, videography, and a second speaker/mic/sound system for the dining area. I was a little unsure how the uplighting was going to make a difference, but after seeing a few pictures of the dance area I must say it made a HUGE difference. Solid job, Alex. Thanks again!

We had a great experience working with Alex. We let him take the reigns with the music selection for the reception, and it was fabulous! He really kept the place hopping. He provided mics and up-lighting and really kept the reception flowing nicely with announcements and the like. The only thing I would have changed was adding a few more slow songs, but other than that it was great!

DJ Cutt first and foremost was a outstanding professional every task of handling our event. The general meeting, concept along with idea building, provided insight on making our event more cost effective. We hired DJ Cutt for our wedding at Columbia Edgewater Country Club. He was very professional and helped us out a ton, we were not sure on a few things as far as the timeline and Alex took charge and helped us to have a smooth wedding... We also rented out some lighting from him and they were fantastic. He was very accommodating to the type of music we wanted to be played, my wife is from another country and he was able to play some music she wanted for dance with her friends and family to! I would recommend DJ Cutt to anyone!
