Brett was top notch. We connected last minute as I came across his information online, and fortunately he was available. We had an epic villa overlooking the river for a combined bachelor/bachelorette party. The vibe was killer the entire time - he took some requests and crafted a curated playlist that was perfect for the vibe. While our party was smaller than he would typically play, you could tell he's been doing this for years and understand the crowd that he has. Highly recommend. -

Brett DJ'd for our 11/2020 wedding. Brett was so incredibly flexible and kind throughout the whole process. He puts humans first and works so hard to give you a curated experience that fits your vibe. I highly recommend Brett to any couples that are audiophiles or have selective music taste. Brett really works hard to understand your aesthetic and build an event that is special to you. -

Book Brett now! Don't even waste time looking for a DJ!
We had an intimate 45 person wedding in Providence, RI in a private restaurant setting. Music was one of the most important parts of our day, as we wanted a killer dance party after an intimate dinner. 3 weeks later, our guests are still talking about what a great time they had- and how great of a job he did!
Cocktail hour music and music during dinner was PERFECT--His song choices made us feel like we somehow knew Brett all of our lives; it was as if he tapped into our brains and played exactly what we would have played. After dinner he had the task of moving his equipment from the bar area to the dining room after dinner to create a dance floor. Along with the restaurant staff, this was done seamlessly. It was like they did this every weekend. There was suddenly a disco ball and an epic build up, and then Bowie's "let's dance". People danced all night.
You can tell Brett has a lot of experience, and he is great at what he does. He was friendly and engaging with guests. Brett was very responsive, always in a timely manner. I want to get married again/repeat the day, just to relive that dance party. thank you thank you thank you!DJ Cookie Policy's reply:

Brett was an absolutely incredible DJ from start to finish. We worked with him for our 75 person wedding reception in July 2019 at Easton's Beach Rotunda in Newport RI. From our very first phone call Brett felt like a friend. He was very easy to talk to and schedule. We weren't exactly quick to get him our event outline and song choices, yet he had no problem pulling it off seamlessly. We also put in some late requests for extra mics and lights that he accommodated with ease.
As for the day of the event, Brett was great at navigating our unusual order of events, and helpful in keeping things running on schedule. And then there was dancing. Our dance party was epic, and that was largely due to Brett. He did a masterful job weaving songs we had selected, songs he intuited we'd like, and guest requests. Also, he admirably dealt with the guests who were requesting songs on our do not play list, neither playing the song nor upsetting the guest.
Tldr; Brett is a champion. Hire Brett. -

I will start by saying my mother actually danced at my wedding and I don't think I have ever seen her dance in my life. The music was perfect, the lighting was perfect. I gave Brett a list of songs I liked which he incorporated throughout the night and also kept to the style I requested- I specifically didn't want to only hear top 40's or over-played party music (ie no cha cha slide). He was really able to read the crowd and choose songs to keep everyone going. He kept on schedule, introduced the various speakers, and even accommodated my last minute request to have a few of my friends perform live, making sure the sound system was equipped for that. He also went above and beyond and was able to play both the ceremony and reception music (at two different locations) and set up/broke down twice, without skipping a beat. People actually came up to me later and said that this was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding, that they couldn't remember the last time they danced so much....Anyway, I couldn't have been happier and would recommend Brett a million times over. He posed with us for a couple photos which included here! -

My musical soulmate
Where can I even begin here?
I guess what made Brett such a great fit for us was our mutual obsession with music- good dance music to be a bit more specific. My husband and I wanted someone who was willing to think outside the box as far as dance music was concerned. We had a non-traditional, black-tie wedding ( no sit down meal, cocktail party style), and while we hired a violin trio as well as a pianist, we wanted to add an epic dance party element to the second half of our event. It was just that, and more. We chose to leave out the usual wedding dancefloor songs because, well, it's expected. (and we can't stand them)
Brett is organized, efficient, and so effortlessly cool that my husband and I want him to be our lifelong friend. He came to our house a few weeks before the wedding to go over all the details and get a better feel for our expectations for the night. We were on the exact same page.
Once he started his set, I never left the room. There were some "soul circles" , a serenade from a very drunk bride to her groom, and the night closed out with Mazzy Star's "fade into you". IT WAS MAGIC. Brett trusted that I knew what my guests would dance to, and he pretty much touched on every genre/artist we had gone over with him.
It was obviously the best night of our lives, and he had so much t do with that! WE LOVE YOU BRETT! -

Gia Sent on 07/31/2016We were so happy to have Brett DJ our wedding and he did a great job! From our first meeting, we knew he was the right DJ for us - he was super responsive via email, easy to talk with regarding music and what we had envisioned for the big day, and kept things extremely organized with his online spreadsheet to help us map out the timeline of events and pick the right songs to go along with them. You can tell he's passionate about music, and was more than willing to accommodate our various requests, ranging from oldies to alt rock to dance music. We were more than confident that he'd be able to set the right vibe throughout the night. We also really appreciated his flexibility - less than a month out from the wedding, we decided that we wanted to have a few uplights set up around our venue, and we were so happy that he was able to make that happen on such short notice. Additionally, there were a few times throughout the night where the course of events got a little off schedule, but Brett was able to adjust on the fly and keep things moving throughout the night. We would definitely recommend him, especially to anyone looking from someone that stands out from the typical wedding DJ. -

We loved our dance party and had the night of our lives, we made of list of all our favorite songs we wanted to hear and that is what we heard :) Played lovely music during dinner and great dance songs after. We weren’t sure if we should get a Dj at all but so glad we made the decision to do it so we didn’t have to think about and coordinate this ourselves! -
