The G.O.A.T Wedding DJ

DJ Buggy might be the best wedding DJ of all time... cannot say enough positive things! We got married in Islamorada- so let this be your sign that if you are getting married anywhere in the Keys to book DJ Buggy!

Incredible from beginning to end, responsive to communication, organized and educated on the genre, types, and specific song/artists you do and do not want to hear, and just flawlessly executed the vibe the whole night. Legitimately had guests on the dance floor the ENTIRE reception. Not only did we receive compliments from our guests throughout the night, but they have continued months after.... We had multiple friends who were recently married lament over their DJ after our wedding, and friends with upcoming nuptials out-of-state wishing they book DJ Buggy. Truly the G.O.A.T.

Best Wedding DJ Ever

Every person at our wedding talked about how great the DJ was. The dance floor was so fun all night. He didn't play a single bad song and really understood our vibe based on the handful of sing requests that we had sent to him ahead of time.

The Dynamic Duo!

DJ Buggy & Rusty!! You two are everything! I could not have pictured our wedding with anyone else. From the planning process to the actual day! True Magic! My husband and I are very low key and we trusted the professionals when it came to what they do best! From our ceremony with Rusty and our reception with both of them, I could cry thinking about how amazing it was. I wish the night would have never ended and you all could have continued for hours! Thank you both for being who you are and creating the most incredible environment for our wedding, the dance floor was never empty for start to finish! Planning with Buggy was the best experience, it is like he knew right from the start what we were looking for and brought it to life! Much love for you BOTH!

DJ Buggy kept the party going all night!

DJ buggy and Rusty did an amazing job at my wedding! Rusty’s live music was beautiful and set an amazing vibe to our cocktail hour. DJ buggy blew the reception out of the park. There was never a dull moment on the dance floor! I’ve never seen so many people on the dance floor having such an amazing time. So many of the guests told me that he was amazing! He played the perfect mix of songs that everyone enjoyed! Highly highly recommended booking with DJ buggy and Rusty!

Best dj ever

DJ Buggy takes the cake for best DJ around! As a Planner and a guest to many of his events he NEVER disappoints. He is professional and knows how to run a timeline while also reading the room to always have the next song be better than the last, it's truly a talent he possesses! His equipment is high end and organized and he's down to try out my new crazy ideas! I couldn't imagine ever recommending anyone else, 10 starts all day!

Amazing DJ!

What an amazing night! Our guests couldn’t say enough about DJ Buggy. The music was amazing and he kept everyone on the dance floor all night which is exactly what we wanted! We had a few last minute changes and he was so accommodating with everything and helped make smooth transitions. You will not regret having him DJ your wedding!

The Best DJ!

I will start this review off with the cliché ‘I have never written a review before.’ When the truth is, I have never written a review in my life. I am not the kind of person who complains or sings the praises of people behind the keys of a computer. However, a few people truly went above and beyond for our recent wedding in Key West Florida, that it would be a crime not to let other potential clients know about them!

My now husband, Kris hails come America and I am from Australia. While we call Australia home, we decided upon a destination wedding in Key West Florida. We prioritized music as an important element of our big day. Our fabulous wedding planner Kelly Fowler from Just Save The Date recommended DJ Buggy and Lemon Russty and it was a perfect recommendation!

DJ Buggy and Lemon Russty did not miss a beat (pun intended!). There website selection process was super simple and all songs we chose for those special moments were played at the right time. Lemon Russty even learnt a few extra songs that we requested.

The dance floor was so much fun. We had everyone from our 1 year old nephew to my 89 year of Gran on the dance floor. The music was perfect will everyone dancing and laughing along. We cannot recommend the combination of DJ Buggy and Lemon Russty enough. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Perfect DJ for our event

Professional, easy to work with, responsive and absolutely an awesome DJ for your event. Our wedding reception went off without a hitch, the songs he played after each speech were perfect and showed he was paying attention to detail 100%. He mixed all our requests so well and was a pleasure to interact with. We had a small wedding but he kept all of the dancing guests on the floor the whole night. Thank you, if we ever have a special event in the keys again, you will be our DJ!

DJ Buggy Key West Wedding Party Master Music Mixer

DJ Buggy provided music for our destination wedding in Key West from the ceremony - to cocktail hour - dinner hour - and dance party reception. He was so easy to work with - placing top picks in a portal - and he - based on his experience and talent - mixed the music. Together with Rusty Lemmon - he got the 50 year old plus crowd dancing for 2 hours straight. Talented young man - with a special gift to get the party started and keeping it going until the final bell. DJ Buggy provided a wedding reception dance party I thought only existed in my dreams!

Amazing !!!!!

DJ Buggy & Rusty Lemmon brought the party! If you are getting married in Key West, you HAVE to hire them. Everything from the ceremony to the reception was perfection. They are super organized and play a great mix of music. At the end of the night, our wedding guests were trying to book them for future events! Cannot say enough great things about them! It was soooo fun!!!!!

Best DJ/Musician Duo in Key West!

We had DJ Buggy and Rusty Lemmon perform all of the music for our wedding ceremony and reception, and we could not have been more blown away! When we found out that our outstanding wedding planner, Kayla, had hired them for her own wedding all the way up in Ohio, we knew that we needed to get these guys for our own in town. They are the nicest people, super responsive/professional, and so incredibly talented at what they do.

Rusty Lemmon learned every single ceremony song we requested to sing/play on the guitar, and then went above and beyond with flawless renditions of Third Eye Blind, our favorite band. His voice is amazing and his guitar skills are out of this world. To say that every guest was impressed is a major understatement!

DJ Buggy, as you can probably tell from his other reviews, is the opposite of a typical "wedding DJ." I know how cheesy this is to say, but he is truly an expert "crowd reader". He nailed all of our song requests, and knew what to play and when. Needless to say, the dance floor was never not jam-packed and extremely energetic!

So a huge kudos and thanks to DJ Buggy & Rusty Lemmon - they took my OCD emails, requests, "do-not-plays", and all of our own music ideas in stride - and over delivered on all of it. The performance these guys put on is priceless, and we would 100% hire again and recommend that you check them out for your own wedding, or any party for that matter!

DJ Buggy and Rusty Lemmon are an amazing duo. They both have high energy and keep the party going to the very end!! DJ Buggy is super professional, prompt in his responses, and punctual. Rusty is very talented and eclectic in his singing abilities. Our guests were very impressed with them as well. If you want a fun all- night dance party- Buggy and Rusty are a must have. WOW! We had the duo, dj buggy & Rusty lemmon and they were both amazing!! Every single guest of ours couldn’t stop talking about how amazing they were! They really set and kept the mood for our wedding day/night! Dj buggy was on point with every music selection, transition & duos with Rusty! Rusty was the voice of an angel (as our guests would say)! Rusty came out on the dance floor & sang and everyone LOVED it! They knew exactly what kind of group we were (wild, fun, energetic) & they exceeded our expectations!!

Wonderful!

Planning a destination wedding was difficult, but DJ Buggy (Brandon) made it easy and stress free. His client portal is so easy to use to communicate everything you need with him and when I would email him, he was prompt and thorough. Fast forward to the day of the wedding-- he was so much more than I would have hoped! He was so kind and easy to work with as well as knew how to keep the party going with ease so I didn't even have to think about it. I would 100% recommend him without question! Amazing DJ!

We hired Buggy and Rusty as a combo for our wedding and were blown away by both of their talents. Getting the best of both worlds both our guests had a blast the entire night. Hire him! Best dj ever!

DJ Buggy delivered our ceremony and reception music with precision, timeliness, and energy. Music was one of our biggest priorities when it came to our ceremony and reception. DJ Buggy played exactly what we asked and was flexible during the reception when we decided to be spontaneous and have a karaoke battle :) Needless to say, we had the wedding/party of our dreams. 10/10 recommend! We hired DJ Buggy and Rusty Lemmon for our Ceremony & Reception and we're so happy we did! Rusty performed pre-ceremony music, as well as cocktail hour/dinner music - his voice is amazing and he's a damn good guitarist as well. DJ Buggy MC'd the wedding and provided the dance music. Communication was wonderful with both Buggy and Rusty - they completely nailed the "mood" of our special day. I put wayyyyy too many songs on our "Must Play" list, and somehow DJ Buggy managed to fit almost all of them in, it was so seamless and perfect! To top it off, Rusty sang our Parent's Dance song, which completely melted everyone's hearts. Love love love DJ Buggy & Rusty Lemmon!

Choosing DJ Buggy as our DJ for our wedding night was one of the best choices we made in the wedding planning process! He was such a joy to have there due to his upbeat and welcoming personality. We received SO MANY compliments on how amazing the wedding music was from guests of all ages. Buggy was able to strike a great balance between classics during dinner and more modern/fun music during the dancing portion of the night. He also was very flexible with guest song requests on the fly, and was even able to play a song off of my bridesmaid's phone that she specifically requested because she knew I would love the surprise (it is a very random song, which I doubt many, if any, DJs would have on file). His flexibility, personality, professionalism, and talent makes him an incredible DJ - we could never thank him enough for helping to make our big day so perfect! :)

DJ Buggy and Rusty Lemmon did our reception and they were fantastic! I was afraid that no one would dance, but our guests were chanting "one more song" at the end. They are super easy to work with and played all the songs on our play list and none of them on the do-not-play list.

My husband and I were married January 19, 2018 in Key West and DJ buggy made our wedding! Due to Hurricane Irma, we had several changes with our wedding plans (date, venue, etc.) and dj buggy always was accommodating! He is the very best in wedding DJs and knows how to make a party!

You are amazing; you made the reception a party! You know how to get everyone dancing & stay dancing! If I would have known prior how great you made the night, I would have planned for the reception to last longer! Rusty Lemmon was an also awesome surprise at the reception with him singing in addition to you DJing. It was really cool and my guests would not stop talking about it; they loved the combo team! Our wedding planner suggested DJ Buggy because we are into electronic dance music. We are still thinking about how his tracks played out during cocktail hour, reception and dancing. Our event catered to high energy and sexy music, colored lights, glow in dark fun and DJ Buggy played off those cues perfectly. Buggy is the bomb.

Look no further if you want the best DJ in KW. At first we were thinking we wanted a live band, but had heard from a friend and several other vendors that DJ Buggy was the right route if we wanted everyone dancing all night. We were THRILLED with what Buggy delivered. He kept everyone on the dance floor all night and he was a key part to our big day. Our guests are still talking about him and his excellent sequence of songs/mixes. He was with us from ceremony until after the reception and we could not have hoped for a better DJ. THANK YOU Buggy! We will definitely be looking up what bar you will be playing at next time we are in town :)

DJ Buggy was great to work with for our wedding at the Hemingway Home. After hiring him, we were happy to hear from our wedding coordinator that he was high energy, so we had high expectations. He definitely delivered. We told him exactly what we wanted for our non-traditional ceremony. There was not a moment where our guests weren't dancing or singing. He spun live and kept the crowd moving, and mixed into a new song if he sensed it was not a crowd favorite. He was extremely professional. His music library had everything we wanted. I received so many compliments from my guests all night. I had one guest tell me they wanted to come back to Key West to renew their nuptials on their 15th Anniversary and hire him. If you're getting married or simply hosting a cocktail party, you HAVE to hire DJ Buggy.

He has a lot of music in his library so select the music you want in advance. Also, very flexible with the music and songs to be added. He pretty much read our minds with the music he played.

LIKE A PARTY? HIRE DJ BUGGY & RUSTY LEMMON.

Our venue/reception site: Ocean Key Resort & Sunset Pier
Date of wedding: March 2017

We know music makes the party. So hiring the right team was super important for us. Key West is all about live music. So in addition to a DJ that can really 'show up', we loved that combination with Rusty Lemmon. We had Rusty play our ceremony and then join Buggy all night long in the DJ booth for a super rad combo of live/remix/rockin' good times. We chose the party lighting and Buggy knew just when to use it vs. more traditional lighting for special songs. The duo nailed every request - including a super custom remix for our entry songs, and certain versions of songs we wanted for our special dances. And then it was volume UP for the rest of the night until they literally had to kick us all off the pier. The other thing I will add is that they were really AWESOME to all of my guests. I've been to weddings where they DJ only treats the bride & groom well. Not so for these guys! My entire guest list raved about Buggy & Rusty and how much fun they were. The comment was made over and over again that it looked like they were having as much fun as we were! Love that.

To sum it up - you won't be sorry you worked with DJ Buggy. He's first class. I just keep thinking...Can we do it again?!!

If you are looking for an awesome DJ, this guy is it. He knows how to really keep the atmosphere alive. I've seen many DJs at weddings and he is by far the best one I've seen, hence why we booked him for our wedding. He caters to not only the needs of the bride and groom, but the guests as well. At our wedding, he had our guests dancing all night! Our guests ranged from young teens to grandparents and each and every one of them was dancing at one point in the night. Our guests were raving about how great the music was! The transitioning from one song to the next is really smooth. I hate when people are dancing and they all slow down or worse...stop because the transition from one song to the next is awkward. I'm sure all of you know what I'm talking about. But with DJ Buggy, that was not the case. Thanks to him our wedding was amazing and I would recommend him to anyone! He's definitely worth checking out and he's very easy to work with.

DJ Buggy was awesome! He had everyone dancing at our wedding from the very first song to the last. I received many compliments from family and friends about how much they loved the DJ. He appealed to all audiences and was very enthusiastic. DJ Buggy was also very accommodating to all of my song suggestions and formal dance needs. He even managed to help us out of a little wedding day catastrophe earlier in the day. I can't thank him enough - Buggy is the best.

We had a destination wedding in Key West and chose 2 locations. In planning and talking to vendors Buggy was my only choice. He was so good, no one compared!!! Then he offered this amazing option to compliment having a DJ with a musician. We booked the package and has Rusty Lemmon play guitar at our ceremony and cocktail hour and buggy did the reception. DJ Buggy was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He was very well prepared for both the ceremony sound system, making our windy beach wedding ceremony perfectly clear for all guests to hear. He also threw a great party for our mixed-generation guests, that is until I decided it was time for my friends to party and then he took my cue and ran with exactly what I wanted. WOW! DJ Buggy gave us the most rockin wedding ever! It was a non-stop dance party. All of our guests, every age, were dancing and having a great time. We really only requested a few songs and told him to do his thing, and what an awesome job he did. To further press my point, we had several DJs in attendance at our wedding, including my husband the groom, and they could not say enough about what a great job he did. And that's big. If anyone is friends with a DJ they are very critical about other DJs, well they all loved Buggy. It was the best wedding ever, a DJ can make or break a wedding, and Buggy definitely made it one to remember! Thank you so much! I highly recommend him!!!!

Brandon is the best DJ you could possibly have for your wedding. He was so easy to work with and incredibly understanding to my indecisiveness with my song choices. He took time to introduce himself to me and the groom before the reception and really made us feel at ease. He was great at making changes on the fly and keeping the party going. I didn't give him a lot of direction for dance music, but I didn't need to because his mixes are amazing!! A cab driver told me later that night that guests at a nearby resort were dancing to our wedding music. My guests said that my wedding was the best they have ever been to and I attribute a good chunk of that to DJ Buggy's extraordinary talent of keeping everyone dancing all night long!

DJ Buggy by far exceeded my expectations! He absolutely killed it!

First off he traveled for our wedding from Key West to Miami which was greatly appreciated and then he made the whole entire wedding fun from beginning to end. We had 270 guest at the wedding who all of which were dancing the entire time! He took into consideration that different ages from young to old and made it so that everyone could enjoy their own type of music with a twist of new age beats. It was amazing and Ive had multiple people asking "who was that DJ!!!".

We wanted a fun party, and that's what we got. DJ BUGGY did an amazing job at our wedding, the dance floor was full all night long! He was very professional and responsive throughout the planning process. He was friendly to the guests and was a lot fun to work with. As I look through wedding pictures I have even come across photos of my 75 year old aunt dancing (hands in the air) behind the DJ booth! At the end of the night he asked me if there was a particular song I wanted for the last song, I said no just make it fun--"turn down for what" ended our wedding and involved all 90 guests on the dance floor. I'll treasure that memory forever, he totally knew what our guests would love and he nailed it (just what you want from your DJ). Thank you Buggy!

DJ Buggy did a fantastic job providing music for our outdoor wedding & reception. He has a friendly easy- going personality and excellent equipment too.

I can’t say enough great things about DJ Buggy. Our wedding was at Southernmost house, both ceremony and reception. We had a steel drummer during the ceremony, but Brendon was ready to go and was playing as soon as guests started walking from ceremony towards the bar area for cocktail hour. Being on Key West I was worried that DJ may show up in T-shirt and shorts, but Brendon came properly dressed. We never met him before the weeding, communicated via emails, so he came over at some point of the cocktail hour to introduce himself and congratulate us.
Our music selection included a lot of old French songs which are not your typical wedding playlist, however Brendon managed to find them all and played exactly what we wanted. We also wanted to hear some jazz during the cocktail hour, but didn’t not request any particular songs, yet Brendon’s selection was perfect.
He was sticking to the playlist we gave him, which I understand is rare case DJ ( 2 month ago I attended the wedding, and bride told me that their DJ didn’t play a single song of their playlist, because he thought he knows better ). Not the case here.
At some point we realized that the dinner is taking too long and we asked Brendon to play some dancing music of his choice to get the crowd going- he did great! Music was fun and easy to dance to, yet he didn’t play your stereotypical wedding dance songs that everyone is tired of.
When one of our guests asked to sing karaoke, Brendon ran it by us, to make sure we ok with it.

Overall it was a great event and couldn’t be happier with DJ Buggy.
He was recommended to us by our wedding planner and I am glad we took her advice and hired Brendon!

If you’re planning a wedding in Key West, DJ Buggy is an absolute must.
From the very beginning—when we visited 10 months ahead of the wedding on a scouting trip—his name kept coming up as the most highly recommended DJ in the area. We made it a point to see him in action at Dante's Key West Pool Bar & Restaurant, and within minutes, we knew he was the one. Not only was he mixing incredible music, but he also took the time to talk with us personally, which made us feel completely confident that he would bring the perfect energy to my daughter’s reception.
And he absolutely delivered. The music all night was spot-on—a perfect mix that kept everyone on the dance floor from start to finish. But what truly stood out was how much he genuinely enjoyed what he was doing. His energy was contagious, and it elevated the entire atmosphere. You could tell he wasn’t just working—he was having a great time right along with us.

Brandon was essential to making our wedding reception unforgettable. Not only was he very accomodating to our changing decisions but he required very little direction when it came to setting the tone for all parts of the reception. I was able to just tell him the general vibe and few songs I did not want played and he just hit it out of the park. He had everyone dancing from start to finish, without any requests! I've recommended him to other friends planning Florida weddings because he truly is the best.

DJ Buggy stole our money

We booked our wedding for 4/4/2020

CoronaVirus put a fork in our plans so we had to reschedule. DJ Buggy refused to reschedule, apparently his a busy guy he says. He also refused to give us any money back. He was paid in full. Do you think it’s fair that he provided no service and gets to keep all of our money? Personally I think he’s a scumbag. Key West is prone to hurricanes and bad weather that could delay your wedding. Just know in advance that DJ Buggy and his buddy Rusty Lemon will steal ur money if that happens. You’re better off finding someone trust worthy.
