Had the best time on my wedding day with DJ backspin but not only that. I’m so impressed with how he kept checking on us from the day we booked with him till even after the wedding.
My parents were talking about him the day after at dinner and it shows just how much his impact makes far beyond entertainment.
He also helped connect us to Alyssa who enhanced our wedding as well with her lovely skills with the violin.
Not to mention that photobooth and lighting package. We had all that we needed that day & we couldn’t be more grateful to have DJ backspin apart of it!

Exceptional Wedding DJ Experience

We cannot say enough great things about Freddy. From the very beginning, he was incredibly responsive, professional, and made sure every detail of our night was taken care of. He truly listened to our music preferences, respected our choices, and then elevated the entire experience with his own spot-on selections that kept the energy high all night long.

DJ Backspin is the best in the biz!

Dj Backspin/ Freddy was such a delight to work with, we couldn't recommend him enough. He is a true professional, with a seamless process from getting a quote to the final big day. He checks in often and keeps you on track, so there are no surprises right before the wedding. In addition to his professionalism, Freddy is so talented. He is a true showman and knows exactly how to work the crowd and keep the party going.
From securing a violinist (who was fantastic) he provided mics and uplighting and everything was perfect.
If you are looking for a solid DJ, Freddy is your man.

Hire Freddy! You will not be disappointed!

We’ve worked with Freddy on multiple occasions and he never brings anything less than 105%. If you’re thinking about hiring a DJ for any function, Freddy and his team will go above and beyond. He was able to provide a violinist for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Highly recommend her as well! For our wedding he was always professional, punctual, approachable, patient, flexible, and knowledgeable. He considered everything we wanted and steered us in the right direction to making all the magic happen. He worked hard with the rest of the vendors and did a lot of behind the scenes to ensure the night would flow well. You can just tell he loves what he does, will do everything in his power to make the couple happy, and his expertise is on another level. A True Pro with Heart – Our Wedding Wouldn’t Have Been the Same Without Him

We truly lucked out with Freddy. He made it clear that he cared about our vision—and when the big day came, he went above and beyond to make it happen.

Even when his van broke down en route to the wedding (!), he still showed up calm, composed, and ready to deliver—and he absolutely did. His energy was exactly what we needed: upbeat, grounded, and totally in sync with the flow of our Lebanese-American celebration. We could not have had a better DJ than Freddy! He truly made our wedding night so special, and everyone LOVED him! Best DJ Services in the Area. Easily.

We contacted DJ Backspin about our wedding because we had attended a wedding in the past that he DJ'd and had the best time and he was so welcoming and professional. When we spoke he said he was not available, but that Erikson (DJ Wordless) and his father Renell are available on our date and they were the exact same. We were absolutely SPOILED by Erik and Renell's kindness and attentiveness through the whole planning process. They met with us via video call as many times as we wanted ahead of the wedding to ensure we were all on the same page with the events of the day and expectations of how it all should go. Our wedding was very DIY and planned by us so their insight and suggestions were so appreciated and valued as we talked through everything.
When the day came around, we had already built a relationship with them to where seeing them before going down the isle and getting their reassurance that we are all good to go brought so much peace to the moment. The entire event ran smoothly because of how professional and organized they were. They commanded the space when they needed to and really got everyone excited to be there. When it got down to dancing they were INSANE. The transitions were immaculate. We gave them the longest "must play" list and hearing them bring our favorite songs together with more modern and old school songs to get everyone included was fantastic. The dancers in the families didn't leave the floor the whole night. One of my even bridesmaids made sure she got their number so that she could hire them for her wedding next year. I can't emphasis enough the talent when it came to the dance portion of the night. Was TOO good. The day wouldn't have been such a success without Erik and Renell. They were the absolutely best and can't suggest a service or team more. Appreciation for them is endless.

Seamless, stress-free, customized experience

Big kudos to Freddy and his team for a seamless process when it came to the music and lighting for our July wedding! Freddy helped connect us with Matthew for our actual wedding performance, but Freddy was still very proactive in communicating with us and having routine check ins in case we had any questions along the way. The whole planning sheet is very involved yet very straightforward and easy to understand. Every single detail gets noticed and covered — they are very mindful of personal and cultural preferences and make sure that everything they do feels customized to the bride and groom!

We also had a couple very specific requests when it came to timestamps / cutting up songs and every single request was met with zero hesitation and a “yes we can do that, no problem!”

During the actual wedding day performance, Matthew brought the perfect level of energy that was (as requested) very energetic yet not overwhelming. He understood how the crowd was reacting at certain points of the night and the flow was perfect — he had EVERYONE at the dance floor at multiple points! He was extremely flexible and understood every single subtle bit of eye contact I had when I wanted to move on from a specific dance / moment. Everything felt seamless and stress-free the whole evening.

Would wholeheartedly recommend working with Freddy and/or Matthew for any New England wedding! They are both stellar humans in addition to terrific DJs and I hope to work with both again in the future (and catch them at an event in Boston soon)!

Amazing wedding DJ!

Freddy or (Dj Backspin) did an awesome job for our wedding. During our meetings with him we told him we didn’t want someone “corny” lol and he definitely was not that. He was a great MC, providing just enough without overdoing it. He was professional and kept the dance floor full the whole night. So many guests told me they had a blast and I know the music contributed to that. He played all the music we had discussed plus more. He knew how to keep the crowd going!!

A FANTASTIC DJ!!! I'm infinitely thankful to Freddy for making my wedding so much fun. From his professionalism, kindness, and quick thinking during some day-of pivots, we felt comfortable working with him and trusted him from the start. We didn't have to worry about a thing. He mixed a blend of genres to get everyone (no matter their race, gender, or age - and we had ages 2 to 96!) on the dancefloor. Amazing experience!

I had been to a wedding prior to my own where Dj Backspin was the DJ. After that wedding I knew right away I wanted to hire him and I’m so glad I did!

He is very responsive and accommodating. I was stressed when it came to picking out the music but the site he uses made it so easy!

Absolutely above and beyond DJ experience!

We were connected to Erikson (DJ Wordless) and his father Renell through DJ Backspin, and could not be happier with the overall experience. From day one, communication from all involved parties and the handoff itself was seamless and thorough. We came in with some concerns (not having a clear idea of what music to play during the reception, being awkward on the dance floor, wanting very specific edits to our dance songs, etc.) but we were quickly reassured that we'd be in great hands.

We had multiple calls with Erikson and Renell leading up to the wedding where we reviewed timeline, song choices, and requested song edits. Erikson even gave us multiple edited versions of the father-daughter dance so I could choose my preference! This did SO much to relieve some of the anxiety that comes with wedding planning, and also allowed us to get to know the father-son duo better (Renell's dad jokes are 10/10).

On the day of, absolutely everything went perfectly - ceremony music, song transitions, cues and introductions from Renell - we couldn't be happier. If you need proof of how good Erikson is at reading a room and keeping the party going, just know that my husband and I are very awkward people who do not dance at ALL and we were jumping up and down on the dance floor screaming along to the songs at the top of our lungs!

Overall we are so pleased that we had DJs that we could trust entirely. Our friends and family were coming up to us all night complimenting Erikson and Renell, and even asking whether they were using a playlist we had made because it seemed to suit us so perfectly. It was great to be able to say "nope, this is 100% all them!" and know our loved ones were having an amazing time.

I don't know if we personally will need DJs again in the near future but Erikson will be the first person I think of; in the meantime I cannot recommend DJ Backspin / Erikson and Renell enough.

10/10 would definitely work with DJ Backspin again!

I remember reaching out to him earlier this year and being nervous that he was not available for our date, because when we saw his Instagram and his feature for Boston Weddings, we just KNEW he was the DJ we wanted/needed for our reception. Luckily for us though, he was available! For the better part of 2022, Freddy has been amazingly communicative, and super organized which when planning a wedding, are both key factors in making sure your big day goes as smoothly as possible. We did two planning meetings with Freddy and he just immediately understood exactly what we were looking for right off the bat, and when the time came for our reception, he BROUGHT THE PARTY! Besides that, all throughout the night he was frequently checking in with me and my husband, making sure that everything was alright and that we didn’t need anything else from him. It was so great to have such an attentive DJ who listens and just knows exactly what to do, and can expertly read the room. Our guests cannot stop raving about how great he was! If you want a good dancefloor, work with Freddy

An exceptional DJ is responsive, organized, creative, and intuitive - that's Freddy. We hired Freddy based on the amazing reviews but also because he truly knows how to work with a diverse set of crowds - not only does he do more personal events like weddings, but he also can create the perfect ambience at an outdoor bar (which we got to experience) or a fun club - just checkout his Instagram! While yes, we were at my wedding, I felt like our dancefloor could have been at a bar - and that's what I wanted. Moreover, Freddy is detail-oriented - he made sure we had the right Greek music ready-to-go and checked in with us on what we were feeling at the time; he made sure he knew our first dance to perfectly time the music fading out. Our friends couldn't stop saying how much they loved our DJ with one person saying "he's not just playing a song...he was mixing!" Thank you, thank you, Freddy. You made our dreams come true and I cannot express how much I appreciate your talent.

DJ Backspin: Amazing! Best wedding DJ! So easy to work with!

DJ Backspin was so easy to work with! He was always very kind and professional in our correspondences. He was incredibly responsive to emails and very thorough when we discussed details over the phone. When the day of our wedding arrived, I wasn't nervous at all about the music or sound system for speeches! I just knew based on all of our interactions with DJ Backspin that it would all be great. His online portal made everything so easy and smooth. His attention to detail was amazing. All of my friends and family complimented the music throughout the wedding!!! People were having such a great time on the dance floor. I was SO happy we got to work with DJ Backspin.

Best night ever

Our friends and family still talk about the music and vibes DJ Backspin brought for our wedding night. Freddy was an unbelievable host and DJ for our wedding, we are so glad he was part of our day. Wedding by the Ocean

I stated to work with DJ Freddy for our weeding in June 2022. He recommended us one of his partners DJ Renzo. What a pleasure working with him. We meet prior to the the date, went over all the details of the night and a list of songs we wanted to play. He kept the party going the day of the wedding. The night was a full of energy, our guest never stopped dancing until the end. Could have not asked for a better person. You will not be disappointed with this company and services.

Crowd Favorite

I knew I had to book him because he was originally my sister’s Wedding DJ in 2019 and he had us all dancing the night away. It was such a blast. Fast forward to my own wedding 2/22/22 he delivered yet again!! Turned my normally shy groom/husband into a dancing machine. All the guests had nothing but great things to say about the music. My friends and family still talk about how absolutely great DJ Backspin is. He was one of the best parts about our wedding and made it so fun. Micro Wedding with Big Wedding Vibes

We never envisioned having a micro wedding. Our families were just too big and too close knit! We also wanted to bring both cultures together for a wonderful Cape Verdean/Indian wedding. But Covid made it nearly impossible to plan a safe big wedding. So we compromised on the guest list (from 200 plus to 8 guests).

We didn't want to compromised on the vibes. We needed big wedding vibes in an intimate space! Dj Backspin proved to be 100% the Dj for the challenge. From helping us thinking through announcements, timing of first dance, ceremony music, etc, he made sure we felt like all the details were ironed out and everything was well thought out like a big wedding.

We requested a mix of cultures for the playlist, Cape Verdean, Indian, and American music. We first took a shot at coming up with how that would play out ourselves but this wasn't an easy task. Thanks to DJ Backspin, we just handed over our favorite songs and he took complete care of it. We only had 8 guests (with our household: 13 people in total) but someone was always on the dance floor. Folks couldn't stop dancing to the music! I was actually in shock. Thank you DJ Backspin for helping making us feel like we were in the biggest venue, on the biggest dance floor, with the biggest spotlight on us!

Best dj experience!

Wanna have the BEST DJ experience for your wedding? Hire Freddy! He was responsive throughout the entire planning process, and even kept his cool when I wanted to change things last minute! He knows how to keep the party on the dance floor ALL night long. We pretty much gave him free reign on party songs, and did NOT disappoint. What I loved most was how he would check in with me and my husband throughout the night to make sure everything was going as planned, and kept us posted on what was to come next, ie: cake cutting, special dances. He has an amazing personality and takes time to get to know you as a person as well to ensure your day is perfect. 10/10 recommend!!

Didn’t leave the dance floor

Freddy was awesome! We had an incredible time and he made it an awesome experience. As the bride, I can tell you I did not leave the dance floor. An Excellent Hire

Can’t say enough about the professionalism of Backspin Entertainment and our specific DJ, DJ Select/Renzo. Right away Freddy from Backspin Entertainment was responsive, easy to work with, and kind. DJ Select had a well thought out and elaborate online chart which allowed us to go on and add songs, names for announcements, the order of the night, and anything else as we worked through it all a few months leading up to the event. He called us a few times to go over any questions and his process. The day of he did everything perfectly and had almost all our guests getting down on the dancefloor! Despite us only giving him a couple songs as a hint to what we wanted for the various events throughout our wedding, he was able to please guests from their 20s to their 70s! Several people approached us during and after to comment how impressed they were with DJ select and his song choices. Thanks Freddy and DJ Select for making our wedding an unforgettable party!

Drop what you're doing and hire DJ Backspin NOW!!

I literally can't say enough good things about Freddy from DJ Backspin. I was looking for the 6 and 7 star buttons, but apparently WeddingWire isn't this progressive yet (lame). From the very beginning when we reached out to DJB regarding services Freddy was super prompt in replying - always kind, professional, and excited to help. We had a longer engagement, but he was always there with answers to any questions we had in between our check-ins. As for the day of experience, we could not have had a better time!! Freddy was the one vendor who was truly so self sufficient in setting up and executing the day that I honestly felt bad I didn't see him except at the end of the night! We were worried about the distance from our ceremony site to the reception (all outside on a huge property with a rather large hill in between). He assured us he'd have no issues and he delivered above and beyond with literally zero issues! The one thing I was particular about was saying our married name correctly (Tsocanos), and in watching friends' videos (because I clearly blacked out moment of - having too much fun), he crushed it!! He kept the party going all night, so much so we were honestly bummed when it came time to close it down. Just the best. I want to get married again so DJ Freddy can come back and jam with us. I'm rambling now, but seriously - do yourself a favor and hire DJ Backspin. THE BEST!! Thank you Freddy!!

The best decision we made was picking DJ Backspin!

We had a destination wedding on Martha's vineyard. DJ backspin had no hesitation in making that trip to make all of our wedding wishes come true. I had known of his experience through word-of-mouth and Facebook so it was a huge goal of ours to try to have him be our wedding DJ and he did not disappoint. He was able to keep our entire crowd dancing the entire night and we have a very diverse crowd in every way including age and music interest. He is top notch as a DJ, as a professional businessman, in as a true gentleman. The DJ Is such a huge part of the wedding day and we are so thankful that we chose him. I also want to add that I feel like his rates are very fair, I would have paid more, in hindsight, knowing what hes capable of because we felt like we got way more than what we paid for in every. Best decision for our incredible wedding day!

Mini ceremony

Freddy is a great DJ and a true professional. We had to change our plans due to covid and had a miniceremony at the stateroom. The stateroom has very high ceilings and we only had 15 guests so we knew we needed to find the right DJ. We didnt want the music to get lost in the room and Freddy did not disappoint. He was able to fill the space with great tunes and even got grandma to dance!

Freddy is the best

Freddy (DJ Backspin) was amazing to work with! He had a lot of energy and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. We had a phone call with him a few months before the wedding and he was really easy-going, and he answered all of our questions and gave us good advice. He played all of our requests and did a good job of reading the energy of the crowd. We had people of all ages tell us how much fun they had and that they’ve never seen such a crowded dance floor at a wedding. You will be lucky to be able to have him at your event!

Couldn’t have had a better DJ for my wedding

Me and my Husband loves Freddy’s work. He was recommended through a friend and spoke very highly of him. After much research and listening to his music, I knew he was perfect for the job. What really impressed me is how organized, prepared and diligent he is with his work. We had our initial meeting to go over details and he was very thorough in getting al the details he needed. It was more than a creating a good playlist for him, he wanted to make sure everything went perfectly and smoothly for us. He was very professional through the whole process, even through times when I was late with responding and the very last minute request I had ask him that came up the night before my wedding. He handled everything very well and the music was one of the most memorable moments of my wedding. I would highly recommend him and his services.

An Incredible Experience with DJ Backspin

Responsive, Accommodating, Professional, Detail Oriented, Energetic... I could go on and on with the generic resume bullets to describe our experience with Freddy and while all true, I don't think they would ever do his service justice. From day one, Freddy made himself available with some of the best email response times I have experienced from any vendor hard-stop. His knowledge and experience made the entire process of providing song requests and organizing the evening/events (entrance songs, background music, lighting, dances, speeches etc) a painless experience. Freddy made himself available to meet in person to discuss details leading up to the big day, and I must say the experience was so pleasant I would love to hangout again just to grab drinks and chat. Freddy handled dealing with the venue and setting up seamlessly; the day of he was professional and by then our interactions were limited to minor details as he had already put in the ground work to have the evening play out according to plan. Our wedding would not have been the same without Freddy, his passion for his craft and his love for being a part of one of the most important days for a couple shines through and is evident in every interaction you have with him. I could not recommend DJ Backspin enough!

From the initial days of hoping Fred would be available for our wedding date until the last song of the evening at our reception, Fred was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The professionalism we recieved was everything that we expected. The day of the wedding I made a last minute change to my playlist and DJ Backspin was willing to accommodate with no issues. My one request I asked for was that all my guest stayed on the dance floor all night and it was accomplished. I received many compliments throughout the night that the DJ was great. Excellent experience

DJ Backspin was recommended to us by a friend and we were very happy with our experience with him! Freddy was very professional and communicated efficiently. He offered to meet us in person at one of his sets in Boston so that we could talk about our music preferences as well as see him in action. He gave us a questionnaire so that we were all on the same page about things like each special song throughout the night, names of people he announced, and specific song requests. He also communicated directly with our venue so that on wedding day, he was all set up and ready to go without needing anything from me. He set up a mic for our officiant, as well as for the speeches, and he was adjusting volume for a soft-spoken person followed by a loud person. Once the dancing started, he was reading the crowd and making selections to keep the dance floor full quite consistently! He even came to ask me mid-way through the night about line dances since I had asked for no chicken dance, etc. He said he had gotten about 5 requests for the Electric Slide and checked whether I wanted him to play it. DJ Backspin was excellent all around and we recommend him enthusiastically!

Best DJ ever!

My wife and I got married at Glen Magna in Danvers, MA this past July, and DJ Backspin was more than we could have hoped for! He was so communicative from the beginning, and very knowledgeable and prepared. Every meeting and conversation leading up to the big day was thorough and concise. Day of, his setup was efficient and he was on top of everything. His wedding experience was so helpful, from introductions to schedule. Great DJ and MC skills!

We decided to hire Fred (aka DJ Backspin) for our wedding after listening to some of his mixes. He had some great mixes! Through all of our communication, Fred was very professional and timely in his correspondence. He made sure we had a chance to meet in person so that he could learn more about my husband and I and what we liked. Selecting the music for your wedding can be a daunting task because you want to please all your guests but Fred made sure we understood that this day was going to be about us and we should request what we like and he will take care of the rest. Fred kept up with communications throughout the planning process to make sure we were all on the same page. Fred did such an amazing job on our big day! From the ceremony to our last dance at the end of the reception there was always great music playing. I liked his easy-listening music during dinner and how he transitioned to upbeat dance music for our reception. He is also very skilled as an MC. DJ Backspin was our wedding DJ. We saw him preform previously and he was a friend, but was randomly recommended by our photographer as the best DJ he’s worked with. At that moment, we knew we NEEDED Freddy. From start to finish, he was very professional and made sure to make the night exactly what we wanted. He listened to everything we said and followed through by playing our song selections and going off the crowd. He made the night! And kept the crowd buzzing with excitement! Everyone left raving about the music! DJ Backspin will be recommend to all my friends and family. He was incredible and over delivered on our expectations!

Fabulous Wedding Dj

Wow is all I can say, Dj Backspin was top notch! As we all know weddings can be very stressful and time consuming, Freddy made the ease of the entertainment portion of our big day a breath of fresh air. He was always available to answer and assist any questions we had. From our 1st meeting until the day of the wedding, Freddy made our lives easier. He was early to the venue to make sure all was organized and ready to go! From the start of the wedding until the end to the night he kept our guest entertained and on their feet, which is all we wanted. Our wedding was such a mixed crowd with a vast age group, and everyone was up dancing all night long. I had the wedding of my dreams and big shout of to Dj Backspin for being the life of the party!

An amazing wedding!

When we started the planning process of our wedding we did our very best to reach out to DJ Backspin Entertainment. We knew he books out fast with other clients, sure enough the date we picked for our wedding he was booked. The good thing was DJ Backspin had a back up plan, and got us in touch with a great DJ on his team by the name of DJ Big. We were so thankful Freddy took time to get us aquainted with DJ Big. GREAT experience!

We had Freddy DJ our November wedding and were SO pleased with the experience. We booked DJ Backspin close to 2 years out from our wedding. We knew from his style of mixes displayed on soundcloud that his work was just what we were looking for and were nervous that he would be booked right away. From our first phone call to the last interaction on the dance floor he was professional and calm, and was able to bring great energy that also didn't take away from the fact that it was a formal occasion or bring too much attention to himself, as some MC's/DJ's do. He clarified any questions to make sure it was always just what we wanted and was attentive in person and responsive to emails. Payment was also made very easily. Before and during the reception he checked in a couple times with us like to see if we wanted to stop to cut the cake, we decided to keep the party going & cut it and trusted that he knew how to read the crowd. He also took any requests that we went to him with, including our last minute decision of what the last song would be and it worked out perfectly! We can't wait to watch the wedding footage over to hear all of the songs, especially the entrances, first dance, & mother/son father/daughter customized requests played again. The microphone system worked so clearly for all of the speeches, it was easy to hear back on an iphone video that a guest captured. The lighting turned out beautiful as well. DJ Backspin was also very flexible when we had a and created the best after-party playlist that we were able to hook up in the bar afterwards. Would recommend him for any event; he makes you want to have another party!

From the very first email I received from DJ Backspin, I knew he was my first choice. He was highly recommended from a co-worker that used him for his wedding and I completely agree with his assessment. DJ Backspin was so professional, timely, and responsive. He DJ'd my August wedding in Providence and everything went without a hitch, especially with our outdoor ceremony and inside reception where he had to set up multiple speakers. Not only was the dance floor busy the entire night, but DJ Backspin frequently checked up on me throughout the night and really made the night special. I highly recommend DJ Backspin for your event, I hope I can host another big party so he can DJ for us :)

Fred and I spoke about specific details that were wanted for our special day some not so traditional, these requests and detail were taken care of flawlessly. He even took some great photos and shared them with me.

We absolutely LOVED working with DJ Backspin! He did an AMAZING job on our wedding! During the planning process he was very thorough that I knew we had nothing to worry about. He was extremely responsive answering any questions we had. He even made some great recommendations that we didn't even think of. On the day of our wedding he did an exceptional job announcing the wedding party (without even one mistake on pronunciation), our first dance, and speeches. He ROCKED it as an MC! My wife and I could not be happier with DJ Backspin after our wedding! DJ Backspin was great throughout the whole process, but really what mattered was that our dance floor was PACKED the entirety of our wedding. He was the perfect point person to run the wedding, as he handled our ceremony music and mics through the end of the reception. He ran a smooth show with no hiccups and knew exactly what to play at the right time to keep the party bumping. He didn't talk too much (like a lot of DJs do) and made it all about my wife and me, constantly focusing on us and making sure we were the center of attention. He also knew how important the music was to me, and constantly checked in to make sure I was happy with how everything was going and to see if I had anything I wanted to change or add.

One other thing that DJ Backspin excelled at was he was able to mix in all the traditions we had (Jewish and Catholic) while keeping it as a modern dance party. Nothing seemed out of place as he easily transitioned from traditional to dance party, which resulted in dancing non-stop, since there were none of those dead times for people to leave the dance floor! All in all, if you want to have a professional run your wedding smoothly, end to end from planning to lighting to music selection, but most importantly to keep your dance floor full, DJ Backspin is your man. I would book him for any event that needs a strong MC who will put your needs first and have you enjoying the day and not worrying about anything else!

Absolutely Fantastic! I first met Fred when I was working at a wedding venue and after hearing him I had to get his card. We see a lot of DJs come through the venue but Fred's energy, music selection & passion for his work stood out to me. He was so responsive through text, phone calls, & e-mail which is great for couples who are looking for someone they can trust and rely on. He asked all the right questions and always answered our questions to make sure we were on the same page. When it came to the day of we were able to relax and trust that Fred had everything under control. He played all the music we wanted and then some. There were always people dancing, he was absolutely fantastic. If you are looking for someone who isn't your cookie cutter wedding DJ and is willing to work with you to make your day exactly the way you picture it I would highly suggest him!!

DJ Backspin was the DJ for my wedding on 10/8/17 and was easily the best and easiest decision I made throughout the whole wedding planning process.
He was extremely receptive to the music choices I had in mind and as the resident expert, offered some suggestions to add more depth to the repertoire in order to ensure everyone would have a good time. He even accommodated special requests I had.
Backspin is the consummate professional. He was the most responsive of all the vendors I dealt with, often getting back to me within an hour of my reaching out to him. We were in communication often.
On the day of the wedding, he was on site hours before the event to set up and make sure everything went off without a hitch. He and his staff prepped and decorated the room beautifully.
And he absolutely turned it out! He has the knack of getting everyone out on the dance floor....even those who usually don't dance!
One of the greatest strengths I noticed in Backspin's skills is his ability to read the crowd. He steered the evening and the choice of music based on the crowd response once again making sure everyone had a great time.
Thank you Backspin for punctuating my wedding day with fun and revelry and making it a magical night!!

DJ Backspin surpassed all of our expectations. He was absolutely the best entertainer that we could have ever asked for. He was attentive to our wants and needs, and had no troubles when we needed to make last minute adjustments on the fly. He was professional and extremely talented. He truly made the night and we have gotten multiple compliments from our guests. Everyone commented on how good he and his assistant was and how they actually knew how to DJ. From day one Dj Backspin was amazing. He is professional yet personable and responds to emailed faster than I can read them.
We needed a crazy variety of music (Spanish, English, old school, disco, etc. ) we were nervous while Searching for A DJ to fulfill our needs. As soon as we met DJ Backspin my husband and I knew he was the perfect fit for us. He was answering our questions before we even asked them, he came with a plan that helped us figure out our plan. He provided a questionnaire that not only
Helped him but helped me feel like I did not have to worry about the music AT ALL. He had everything under control.
DJ Backspin went above and beyond the day of our wedding. He was there plenty early, looking sharp and pumped up for the night. During all the commotion of the day/night I remember a bridal party member coming up to me and saying that the DJs energy was contagious. This couldn't have been more true and made me so happy! We asked a lot of him (different introduction songs for each couple and as stated above a crazy veriety of music, a microphone for the ceremony, and two different setups for ceremony/cocktail hour music VS reception music.) he delivered with a smile on his face.
When deciding the importance of uplighting DJ Backspin shared the pros and cons from his professional/ experienced point-of-view yet did not push us to spend the money. He understood that weddings can get expensive and was not pushy AT ALL. This meant so much to us given that most other vendors and or DJs we had met with were all about up-selling and juicing us for all we had.
I could go on for hours about how many compliments we received regarding the entertainment during our special day and I give all the credit to DJ Backspin. I would recommend him to Any and everyone. Hiring him means no stress or worries, he will absolutely deliver every step of the way! Well worth the price tag!!!!

I knew I made the right decision to book DJ Backspin from the very start. Freds' professionalism and customer service throughout the wedding planning process was phenomenal. I was very impressed with his attention to detail. Fred took the initiative to schedule an in person meeting 5-6 months before the wedding in which he walked us through the song selection process. We had no idea there were so many songs to pick besides the first dance! He went above and beyond in more ways then I have room to type about. I truly appreciate the time and effort Fred took in finding one particular song we were determined to have during our processional that was hard to find due to its exclusivity. Fred was also flexible and understanding when it came to last minute changes. This is just speaking on the behind the scenes work! When it came to the actual wedding day Fred was focused and attentive throughout the entire day. During the ceremony a curveball was thrown his way with the processional going longer than expected and he handled it with ease. He replayed the song in such a way that no one even noticed. He also Hosted and DJ'd the reception perfectly and checked in to make sure I was happy with the songs being played. Fred had everyone dancing from the older generation to the younger generation. I was quite impressed on how he was able to play music from so many different genres to incorporate the cultures of all the guest we invited. Everyone is still talking about how much fun they had! It is with great pleasure that I write this review for DJ Backspin. Fred and his associate were unbelievable! Fred went above and beyond from the very beginning. He responded to my questions promptly and even met with me to go over details about our music! Our wedding was not a typical American wedding. It was very important to us to make sure both of our families (Portuguese and Ghanaian) were comfortable. Fred made sure there was an equal amount of music for all. He even helped find Ghanaian songs that we couldn't find. Fred is so thorough and professional. He met with my venue and even inquired about the seating arrangements so that his equipment wouldn't interfere. I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about him. Everyone was on the dance floor all night and the venue looked even more beautiful with his uplighting. To top it all off, he even found time during the reception to help line up my large wedding party (20+) and remind me to "relax." If you are looking for a professional DJ who is extremely versatile Fred is the guy!! Thank you so much for all of your hardwork!

We did not hire an emcee so Freddy held us down on the core announcements during the party introductions and kept the program going. It was nice that not only he is business oriented and very professional, his execution of the night in partnership with the coordinator was flawless. He met with us numerous times leading up to the wedding to make sure that he understood our vision and during the wedding kept on checking on us to ensure that we were happy and if we wanted to add any additional songs based on how the party was going. He was the first to arrive and last to leave. My guests wasted no time to start dancing and the dance floor stayed crowded the entire night! Many asked us for his contact info after. The music was perfect even with a very mix and diverse crowd. He delivered beyond our expectations and I would highly recommend his services. Best Wishes from a Very Happy Bride & Groom!

We got married 2 days ago and I could not wait to review Freddy. DJBackspin was awesome. He was incredibly professional as well as fun and easy to work with. We met with him a few times before the wedding to go over song preferences and I was struck at how organized he was. The day of was hectic and I did not get a chance to touch base with him. He executed our wishes without a hitch. This is wonderful as a bride, the day of is packed and one less thing to worry about is great. We had some unconventional song choices, some of which we made very last seconds, and everything was cued up and ready to go for us.
After dinner the dance floor was PACKEd and sweaty all night because no one left once the music started. I would highly highly recommend Freddy to a friend, he did a fantastic job!

DJ Backspin was perfect for our wedding. Very professional and understanding of our needs. His music kept everyone on the dance floor till the very end. The use of his up lighting made the room very beautiful. A wonderful DJ that I highly highly recommend.
