Too Easy!!

This concept is literally genius!! We wanted to have some uplighting at our band banquet, but didn't want to purchase 10 lights for a single use, and all of the local rental companies wanted an arm and a leg. As a nonprofit organization, we have a tight budget. I was skeptical when I first found DIY Uplighting, but based on the reviews, I decided it was worth the risk. The lights were delivered several days before our event, giving me enough time to check them all and figure them out. They're extremely easy to use and the instructions they include are very detailed! The lights have clearly been around the block, but weren't an eyesore and worked flawlessly! They even sent an extra power cable just in case! Once we were done, they were easy to pack up and ship back with the included shipping label. I would recommend 1000% and we will definitely use them again in the future!! For the price, ambiance, and ease of process, it's a no brainer!

Easy & affordable!

DIY lighting was a game-changer for our event! It was incredibly easy to set up, looked stunning, and gave the venue a beautiful, custom vibe. Not only did it transform the space, but it saved us thousands compared to hiring a professional. Oir lighting arrived right on time, and shipping the lighting back was super easy! From start to finish the process of reserving, my uploading was amazing. This company goes above and beyond and contacted me when I accidentally submitted my order twice just to verify that the double order was correct. Definitely book with this company.

Everything They Promised

This seemed too good to be true and was one of the easiest parts of my wedding. Lights showed up as promised, well-packaged, with return label enclosed. They were plug and play. We sent them back after the wedding and got confirmation of return. The couple times I reached out to customer service I got insanely prompt responses. Highly recommend.

Easy, affordable, event changing!

I found DIY Uplighting after seeing uplighting done at our wedding venue previously and I knew I wanted to add this addition to my wedding. It was the BEST decision ever. It completely transformed our reception area into something that looked like more of a party than it already was! DIY Uplighting was ordered months before our wedding and a few days before our wedding the boxes were shipped out. We had our wedding 2.5 hours away from home and I asked if the lights could be sent one day earlier than originally stated and they had no issue accommodating me! We ordered 30 lights to be used and they were packed perfectly into 3 boxes and light enough to be transported to our wedding venue! Highly recommend this company. Not sure who owns it but they are doing a fabulous job!

Great Customer Service!

So glad we used this vendor! Pricing was awesome, and ordering and returning was a breeze. One of the lights was lightly damaged in shipping, but the customer service rep we called quickly and without question apologized and made sure we weren't charged.

DIY Uplighting is a great resource if you're looking to add sophistication to your event without breaking the bank! After checking out the picture, videos, and reviews, we rented about 12 lights for our wedding and just hoped they would work as promised. Amazing company to work with and you get to speak to a real person when you email them. The 16 lights showed up a few days before my wedding and that gave me enough time to play around with them to get the color right. The power cords are very long and can be daisy chained together if you are short on outlets. For the value, it's almost a steal. I will be using them in the future, I just have to figure our where!

My Husband and I rented these lights out for our wedding last weekend and they were AWESOME!!! we got just the right amount of lights and it really transformed the look of the reception! I got emails with when they were sending them, when they needed to be returned and when they received them. They were prompt and on time as well! Highly recommend - this was so easy and much cheaper than all the other options out there. Our venue recommended that we work with DIY Uplighting. Their customer service is great - they were even able to send us the uplights a day earlier when I told them that we would need to drop them off at the venue a few days early. We love how they transformed the space!

These were a great option for our wedding! We had a DIY wedding in our school's gym, and these lights drastically changed the space for the better. We rented 25 lights for a gym that was 25 feet wider than a basketball court, and it worked out to be a great number of lights. We received the lights well before the day of the wedding, and had a few days to ship them back after. They were easy to set up, simple to use, and well worth every penny. If you are planning and decorating a wedding yourself, I highly recommend using uplighting and renting it from DIY Uplighting!

This was one of the easiest rentals I have ever used. If you are thinking of using uplighting for your wedding and don't want to use a full service, this is the way to go. Our lights arrived early, were easy to set up and return. Uplighting was something I wanted for our wedding but the cost was double or triple for some of the lighting places near me. This was by far the cheapest route and the easiest. I recommend going to your venue the day before if possible to set them up and test them out. Also, assign someone to make sure they are turned on if this something your venue won't do.

I used them for my California wedding this August and it was such a great deal compared to what local vendors charge! The lights are super easy to setup and tear down and they look so professional! I searched around in several cities to see pricing for uplighting even searched on the web to compare pricing. And by far DIYlighting.com is the best, easiest, stress-free option to go with. It staged my venue in a hassle-free way. A must!

So wonderful! I firmly believe that lighting really sets the tone for a party and knew I wanted uplighting for my barn wedding. I planned and executed my wedding on a firm and low budget. DIY Uplighting was such a wonderful find and you can't beat the price. It was 1/5 of what a DJ wanted to charge. So easy and convenient, I reserved the lights 6 months in advance. They sent a couple of reminder emails so I knew when the full balance was going to come out of my bank account and then bam they were on my front porch. We had a destination wedding a couple hours from the house and they were packed efficiently which made hauling them up to the mountains very easy. Once we started to set up I was eager to see how the lights looked. We had limited electrical outlets but that didn't matter because the lights plug into eachother! So convenient! Once in place we settled on the color we liked best. After dinner when it was time to boogie my sister turned them on (she only had to plug two of them in since they plug into each other, super easy and quick) and the barn was instantly transformed into and elegant ballroom. Ok maybe not a ballroom but it really created the ambiance we wanted for the evening. This simple an inexpensive addition truly raised the level of the wedding and made it look a lot more expensive than it was!!! Plus the company is so helpful and easy to work with. I don't know for what but I will be using DIY Uplighting again!!!!

I actually use this company to rent lights for large music performances that my company puts on, although I would have used them for my wedding if I had known about them back then. This is SUCH a great way to add a TON of color to your event with very little cost and setup. This company has always sent me their lights well in advance of our events. They include very clear instructions on how set up the lights and provide a return shipping label. They even include an extra cord in the box just in case you have an issue with one. TOP QUALITY service for an extremely reasonable price.

DO NOT waste your time trying to rig your own homemade/rigged uplights via pinterest suggestions and Home Depot led bulbs. I've tried them all. They are a waste of time. I PROMISE YOU this is the route to go.

My fiancee and I were looking around and trying to find a spot where we can get lights to go around our wedding venue and a few spots. Our caterer would have charged $25 per light, but didn't want to pay that much for lights. We came across DIYLighting through wedding wire and found they only charge $17 and they cover shipping. They only charge $25 for a deposit and then the rest when they ship. Any questions I had got answered in under 24 hours and were very professional. They include a shipping label in each box that is needed making it really easy. If you manage to lose a label, you easily just go onto their site and print off a new one. All their lights made our Wedding look amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Our daughter's wedding reception was held in a well known local venue that our family has used on a number of occasions. It's a large metal building that resembles a barn inside. The room was strung with an abundance of white Christmas lights and we found that it wasn't enough lighting. But we didn't want to use the industrial fluorescent lights and ruin the atmosphere. We wanted to keep the rustic and eclectic look, but add some touches that would help add light while creating the right mood. I found DIY Uplighting via a search of the internet and knew I had found my answer. The process was so simple!! The boxes showed up on my doorstep a couple of days before the wedding. We repacked the boxes on Sunday and shipped them back using the pre-paid labels. The evening was amazing and beautiful. My wedding was BEAUTIFUL and I owe a large part of it to DIY Uplighting. They emailed me to let me know when the final amount was due and when the lights would be shipped. Everything was packaged perfectly with full instructions on how to use the lights. Did I mention how EASY it was! Simply plug up, pick your color and go. They even included the return packaging with email confirmation on the arrival of the lights from UPS. I would highly recommend this company to anyone doing a special event and wants quality yet affordable lighting.

When I was told how much it costs to hire a company to spruce up an event with uplighting, I began searching for options, and thankfully found DIY Uplighting, a convenient, easy, affordable way to make my party gorgeous. Our lights arrived on schedule; directions on the website for setting the color were spot on; and our day-of planner was able to easily plug them in and get on with her other responsibilities. I spent about 1 hour setting 21 lights to purple using the formula on the website, unplugged them, packed them up to go the the venue and walked in to a beautiful, festive looking event. When it was time to send them back I realized I had lost one of the shipping labels, and was directed by the woman who answered the phone, to go the the website where I quickly printed another mailing label without any hassle. I talked up DIY Uplighting to all of our vendors. Everyone should know how easy and beautiful it is to save money and provide your own up-lighting just the way you want it. Sounds like they paid me, but just the opposite: I'd pay them again!

We rented 10 uplights for my daughter's wedding. All the logistics went off without a hitch (ordering, shipping, returning) ~ in fact because I didn't have a local place to drop off, they set up pickup for me. At first I was hesitant about having a DIY uplighting service for my wedding. I was scared it would be too complicated and would create additional stress on our day, but at the same time I really wanted it and could not afford the other quotes of $900 -$3000 I had received from local vendors to have it all set up for me. They were great and easy to work with. My lights came a few days before my wedding reception with an extra power cord, and it was an easy setup. It was also easy to explain how to change the settings to others. The color-changing mode changed to the beat of the music, which was pretty cool. Overall, it was a great addition to the reception and I'm glad we did it!

I used them for my wedding and it was a super smooth and easy process. I rented the lights, they shipped them to me earlier than I expected which was great then all I had to do was re-package them in the original box, put the pre-addressed return label on it and done! I loved the lights I received. they were all very easy to set up and take down. They were sent early enough where we got to go a few days ahead of time to set them up and decide on what color we wanted to use. I ordered 25 lights and only ended up using 20, so i wasted $100 on them, but it was worth it to have more than not have enough. I would have used them all had some not already been included in my backdrop.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants uplighting, is much cheaper than renting from other places.

We used DIY Uplighting for our wedding and were so pleased with how everything worked out! Initially I was going to hire someone to do the uplighting for us, but I discovered it would be very expensive and looked into renting the uplights ourselves. I was a little apprehensive to use a service based primarily online, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I contacted DIY Uplighting with some general questions about the process. I received a response back from a REAL PERSON within a couple of hours. After sending a couple more emails back and forth, I became more comfortable with the idea of DIYing this aspect of the wedding ourselves and booked our lights.

As promised, our lights arrived 2-3 days before the wedding. We opted for lights where we could program the color ourselves, so this gave us plenty of time to test them out before taking them to the venue. They really are as easy to set up as they say! Our venue looked great with this extra bit of color, and we found the process to be very easy and affordable. Would definitely recommend!

Super professional and very easy to work with! Their communication was great and easy to get in touch with if there were any issues. The uplighting was so much less expensive than other uplighting companies I was looking to use. This service is so affordable and easy to use it does not make sense to hire anyone to do lighting! We ordered ten lights for a huge wedding reception and they were beautiful and easy to set up. We had our wedding and reception in an old rustic warehouse that was alittle dark. I wanted to some uplighting to add some color and spunk to the venue. All the good things that have been said about DIY Uplighting are true. It could not have been easier, and the lights were fantastic.

A few days before the wedding, the lights arrived, and we spent about 20 minutes trying out different custom colors. The day before the wedding, we set them up at our venue, so all they had to do was get plugged in that night.

One of the easiest vendors we booked! I was a little afraid they'd be difficult to set up but they were super easy to use. Literally plug them in and place them where you want them. Anyone that knows how to plug in a cell phone charger will know how to set up one of their uplights.

They were also very responsive, flexible and friendly via customer service as well. I was worried about certain things in our agreement and they were quick to respond and very accommodating.

If you want to save some money and take on some of the easier parts of set up yourself, I'd definitely recommend doing the uplighting yourself. Was easy to store, easy to use and saved a few hundred bucks to say the least.

If I ever throw any type of big party in the future, I'd use them again.

Always a little wary of doing online things like this, but it was amazing! We got 12 lights for our wedding and it was so beautiful, really pulled the whole room together. All of the guests loved it and it was perfect. We got the box a couple days before and the wedding coordinator at our venue set them up so it was so easy for me, one less thing to worry about. I was nervous about renting lights online and dealing with shipping and returning, but DIY Uplighting was amazing to work with!! We received our order of lighting on the Monday before our Friday wedding and everything was neatly packed into the boxes, and the return labels were included, just as promised. The lights were VERY easy to setup, and did include instructions on how to set to the color of your choice. The lights arrived in a very sturdy box, so we were able to ship them back in the box without worry of the package falling apart. DIY Uplighting sends out an email when the order is ready to ship, when it ships, a reminder of when the order is due back, and then another email to confirm that they have you that they have received it back in their warehouse. We received so many compliments on how wonderful the venue looked, I cannot wait to get the professional photos back!! You guys are THE BEST!!!! We are so glad we rented 16 uplights for our wedding reception hall! It was quick and easy. And super affordable! Thank you for the video tutorials your website offers, it really made it a breeze to install the lights. very professional and on time!!! I will definitely use them again for my next party. out of all the vendors I used for my wedding, this would have to be the best to deal with. This company lived up to all its promises! The lights were delivered several days ahead of time and were very easy to set up. All we had to do when the wedding was over was put them back in the box, stick the pre-printed label on and drop them at a UPS store. I wish every other company we used for the wedding was this easy to work with!

I was apprehensive about using DIY Uplighting because I wasn't sure how easy or seamless it would be and what the quality of the product we were getting was. The whole process was painless. The lights cost a fraction of what they would from any of the local vendors, they were delivered directly to my house a few days prior to the wedding. They included a few extension cords in case they were needed. The lights were a snap to set up. Then, back in the box, prepaid labels on the box and they were sent back with no problem. We got confirmation emails when they were shipped to us and when they were returned back. This was a great value!

I'm so happy that I stumbled across DIYuplighting.com. I ordered lights for my wedding from them and the results were fantastic! Best of all, the price was about $400 less than the local vendor wanted to charge me for the same lights. They were very easy to set up and ship back. I will definitely order from here again next time I need lights for an event.

This was the best decision EVER! I ordered 20 lights for my reception and it looked BEAUTIFUL! I was worried about having blue lighting but everything turned out looking luxurious! My reception room had four blank walls but using these lights really transformed the entire area. We saved at least $500 using this service.

They send you the lights a few days before your wedding day and include the return postage already ready to go for you. I misplaced the postage sticker during all of the wedding ruckus, but DIY Uplighting had amazing customer service and emailed me a new one!

SO EASY!!! BEST DECISION FOR OUR WEDDING!!! I was initially skeptical but the price was unbeatable and after reading reviews decided to give it a shot. They were perfect and so easy to use. I checked them and set the color so easily before taking to the venue then our caterer just plugged them in and set them up. You really cant get a better deal and you dont even pay for any shipping.
