Maha and her team at Divine Design and Events are truly the best of the best – they went above and beyond to create the most beautiful florals for our wedding day, and we could not be happier! As an out of town bride, I was nervous about not being able to see everything in person before making decisions, but Maha was very accommodating. We emailed/texted photos back and forth, and also Face Timed so that I could see all of the floral/candle/vase options that she has to offer at her shop. She was patient during the decision making process, and used her expertise to guide us in choosing florals that were full, fresh, and beautiful without compromising our vision or budget – we so appreciated this!

Maha is super fun to work with and incredibly talented at creating an aesthetic that will match your vision for your wedding day. The bouquets, centerpieces, candles, drapery, and lighting left us and our guests speechless!! Most importantly, we did not have to worry about a single design-related thing the day of our wedding – she completely took care of the décor, allowing us to enjoy and not stress! Everything was perfect. We had the best experience working with Divine Design and Events and cannot thank or recommend Maha enough :)

The best!!! You won't regret it!

You literally will not find a better designer than Divine Designs! Maha and her team went above and beyond my expectations for my wedding, and created the most dreamy and romantic stage! Maha totally goes out of her way to make her clients dreams a reality! She takes the time to meet in person and over the phone, and will show you the exact pieces in her studio that you can choose from for your wedding day. She's super innovative and I felt like I could trust her throughout the entire process to create my dream wedding, even when I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted! Definitely allow her to have designers choice with some aspects of your wedding, because she will go above and beyond to make things beautiful. Thank you Maha for making my wedding so perfect, you're so talented!

Absolutely stunning job

Words cannot describe how amazed I was the day of my wedding when I saw the beautiful design Maha put together for us. It was beyond anything I could have dreamed up myself. Maha and her team went above and beyond to make my venue look incredibly beautiful. My husband and I, as well as all of our family and guests, were stunned by how beautiful everything was. I would definitely recommend Divine Design to anyone having a special event. Our wedding was absolutely perfect. So grateful for the amazing job she did!

Absolutely Stunning!

Maha and her team did a wonderful job with my beautiful bouquet and center pieces. These details brought class and style to my special day and they really stood out in my wedding photos and videos as well. Maha was always responsive and made sure everything was exactly how I had imagined!

amazing vendor to work with

I don’t even know where to begin. Maha absolutely turned my wedding visions into a reality. The decor was so beautiful. As an out of town bride, Maha accommodated my schedule very well, from emails to phone calls and messages. She worked with me as I continued to change my mind on decor ideas up until the week of our wedding. She was also honest in her opinion when I asked for feedback, that’s what I appreciated the most. If she did not think something would go, she told me and that helped me tremendously in making my decisions. She also surprised us with an upgrade on the mandap and some centerpieces which was super sweet of her. Maha, thank you for making my wedding so beautiful. I will never forget the moment when I walked into the reception hall and was speechless with everything you and your team have done from the entrance to the mandap, centerpieces, draping and flooring. All what I could say at that moment was “WOW”. I was absolutely blown away with every single detail.

Maha was welcoming and involved from the beginning of the process of choosing our designs for an Indian wedding, including the mandap (wedding altar) and centerpieces, as well as bridal floral, bouquets, and garlands. While it was one thing to see how she did a mock up with one centerpiece and the lighting, on the wedding day, upon entering the reception room, we were stunned at how beautiful it turned out. She was willing to experiment with different colors, concepts, and designs that weren't necessarily in her comfort zone and executed it perfectly. We had a nature-themed mandap that was simple, elegant, and just what we envisioned. Besides her elegant work, she was a warm person and that went a long way after having a bad experience with other designers. There is a reason she is now a master wedding planner- she puts a lot of love and care into what she does and the finished product is exquisite. We love you Maha! We couldn't have been happier with how our wedding looked.

Maha and her team never disappoint. This is probably the 5th time working with them for a large event in our family. Maha’s work is elegant and she is such a gem to work with. She is flexible, and also helped guide me when I asked for suggestions. She has a personable approach which made me feel like I was planning my wedding with a friend as opposed to a huge company. Completely affordable, you will definitely get your best bang for your buck.

We used Maha for our wedding in May, and Maha and her husband Yehya nailed it! I loved everything about the floral design, from my gorgeous bouquet to our wedding arch to the candelabra centerpieces! I told her exactly what I wanted but gave her leeway to be creative. The end result was beautiful!Everyone at our wedding had tons of compliments about our flowers! I would definitely recommend using Divine Designs!!

FANTASTIC SERVICE!! We loved working with Divine Designs and Events! We were referred to Divine via a good friend that used Maha back in 2016. Ever since then she always reminded us when we were ready to contact her immediately! Maha created a wedding dreamscape that surpassed our expectations! It was magical! So luxe! Our guests were raving about the decor all night! They were flexible and helped create the exact look we wanted with our budget point! On the day of the we were worry free because we knew everything would go seamless with our decor! The moment Maha delivered our bouquets herself we knew everything was going to be gorgeous!! Top of the line service will recommend to anyone looking for a peace of mind and flexibility with a very luxurious look!! If you're getting married and looking for top of thw line florist, I highly recommend Divine Designs and Events!! Maha BLEW us away!!! We were refered to Divine Designs and specifically Maha by our good friend that recently got married and raved of how amazing the service was! We also attended the wedding and at that moment we knew Divine Designs would be the one! Maha took her explaining to us the process, she really took my ideas and vision and brought them to life!! Maha was amazing to work with. She really listened to what I envisioned my wedding to look like, and had so many great ideas on designs and flowers. My jaw dropped when I saw our saw our ceremony and reception. It was absolutely stunning!! She went above and beyond on making the room glow purple and blue just like I wanted. I was also blown away with how the flower arrangements turned out. She really does have a special talent on making everything look beeautifuk! I highly reccomend using her services if you want a wedding to remember!

SO in love with MAHA and her crew!!! They took our wedding from great to amazing with their stunning designs!!! We were truly blown away by the amazing work that they did. They transformed our banquet hall into a dream!!!! Their prices are so fair compared to other designers and they were a blessing to have found!!! There is no Words to describe how amazing Divine Design is. I used them both or my bridal shower and my wedding. Maha will work with you on anything to make sure you get what you want. She is the sweetest lady you will ever meet. Divine Design always comes out with new decorations and new designs. I will definitely use them again in the future for any other occasion I will have. As soon as I got engaged, I knew I was calling Maha. I loved working with her. She helped me organize my ideas into a beautiful wedding. It was exactly as I imagined it. From the first time my husband and I met Maha we were treated like a close friend of hers. We visited her at her show room and talked for hours; not only about décor but about us personally. She learned about us and our style as we looked at pinterest together, and reviewed décor in her showroom. I met with her three times, and we would bounce ideas off each other, but I never knew exactly what the final décor would be like at my wedding, which gave me some anxiety. You should trust Maha will deliver in making your wedding vision real! I was in awe when I walked into the ceremony room. She transformed the room completely, making it just as romantic and intimate as I wanted. She paid very close attention to detail, yet made it affordable.

ok where to begin ? Maha was the ABSOLUTE BEST decision I could have ever made with designing my wedding! She listened to everything I had asked of her and not only that, she went BEYOND AND ABOVE my expectations. she truly has an amazing soul and works from the heart, she added some extra things that were above our budget and made everything extraordinary! Moreover, speaking of budgets Maha is someone you can work with regardless of your budget. she will work around what you have and still manage to make it look like a million bucks ! I have gone with other florist and designers for my past parties and let me tell you Maha was the only one who made it modern looking and by far the best I have ever seen!!!! I wish I knew about her for my past events but I am very blessed to have found her for my big (wedding) day! I could go on and on and on about how happy I was with the results but you guys just have to try her for yourselves pictures do not do justice however they are gorgeous as well but if you want your dreams to come to life Maha divine design is the way to go!!!

Met John the owner at the Bridal Expo! So glad we did! He was awesome! Not pushy and very honest and had great ideas! Went to their office and met his wife Maha and she was a doll to work with. Divine Designs provided flowers & decor for my wedding. Maha literally saved my wedding from a terrible flowers & decor vendor who took my deposit and then stopped responding to my calls. I desperately called her about 3 weeks prior to my wedding and she returned my call immediately. We discussed my ideas in depth the same day. I was able to send her photos of what I was looking for from her website and Instagram and within a day or two she sent me an itemized estimate of cost. She stuck with my budget and adjusted up or down the different elements of the decor in order to stay within the budget, though without compromising quality. I was worried I would be taken advantage of because of the short notice and how desperate I must have sounded on the phone during our first call, but she was very fair throughout the whole process and her prices were more than competitive as well. She pulled together the colors and designs I wanted into a beautiful setup - all I had to do was give her a couple pics and she did the rest. She did an extraordinary job, going above and beyond what I had asked her for to make the look she was designing perfect. It was easy to work with her - she consistently responded to my calls, emails, and even texts. I was organizing and planning my wedding from out of town, and within an hour of my arrival in Chicago, she was able to meet with me in person for the first time to set up all the final adjustments and details. Working with her through email and phone was easy, and she is extremely friendly, organized, and down-to-earth. She is the best! I would recommend her to any bride.

I highly recommend for anyone to go with this designer! Very talented! Has a variety of themes and good taste! Understands your vision even when it's hard to put in to words but she makes sure she could picture what you have in mind and makes sure thats exactly what she gives you!! There was one word to describe Maha and her staff's work: STUNNING! From start to finish, Maha consistently communicated with us in a prompt and professional manner. We sat with Maha early on in the planning process and we gave some ideas of what we wanted as far as colors and flowers but she did the rest and it turned out better than we could have ever imagined. Every table had a little something different and the bouquets were perfect. We sprung for her to do the draping and it was absolutely beautiful and transformed the room. I was VERY pleased with the work Maha did. She made our wedding more beautiful than we could of ever hoped for. Thank you Maha of Divine Designs & Events!

I've worked with Divine designs and events on 3 different occasions, The first time was June 19 for my daughter's bridal shower and everyone including the banquet owners said they've never seen the banquet look so extravagant. I then knew that we would be crazy not to work with them again August 31st 2014 for my daughter's wedding and March 22nd 2015 for my son's wedding!

Working with Maha at Divine designs and events was the most relaxing and pleasant experience through the whole process of planning a wedding ♡

As crazy as things got when working on my wedding, Divine Design and Events was nothing but professional and flexible. I refer other cliesnt to her any chance I get. If it wasn't for Maha and Divine Designs I really don't know how I would have been able to pull off our wedding in Chicago. I was an out of town bride, from Dubai, with absolutely no knowledge of anything related to Chicago. Not only was Maha able to help me plan and execute the wedding of my dreams, she seriously went above and beyond for both the wedding and henna! Maha is the most creative and sweetest person I have ever met! When I say she is the reason my wedding was as magical as it was, I mean that in every sense of the phrase! Words literally can not express how thankful we are for walking in Divine Designs one evening. Divine Designs and Events was the 2nd vendor appointment I made. I met Maha @ one the of the Bridal Expos, which I think that was the best thing a Bride can do is attend a Bridal Expo and meet all different vendors. I love Maha, she is very easy to work with. She bent over backwards for me and got me everything I asked for even if she didn't have it in her show room. One of the most important people in your wedding planning process will be your decorator. That vision you have of draped winter wonderland? A flower-riddled room designed like a garden? A canopy of lights and petals framing your ceremony? The whole theme and concept of your wedding is in the hands of your decorator, and Maha and her team will take your concept and create it flawlessly.

I went through so many changes in my ideas for my flowers and tablescapes, and through them all, Maha assured me each and every change was a great one and she would make it happen. She gave me realistic expectations of flowers that would be in season, ideas for making my wedding stand out from the rest, and even met with me until 9 p.m. on Monday nights just to make sure we were getting exactly the right details down.

Maha is so kind, generous and professional and I very much enjoyed working with her. I found her prices to be really affordable and her range of talent and amenities is staggering. I have received so many compliments on my wedding colors, flowers, centerpieces and over all design, and most people guess double what I actually paid. She did all of our flowers, lighting, napkins and centerpieces, ceremony decor, cocktail hour decor, and even threw in a few special extra surprises, like my favorite flowers in my centerpieces, just because that is the kind of business woman she is.

For a stress-free designer, Maha is certainly your girl. I could not be more thrilled with her services!

This vendor was excellent. She was hard to get in contact with,in the beginning, but she was there for me in the end. This was when I really needed her. I used Divine Designs & Events for multiple resources for my wedding. I did some center pieces, bridal party bouquets, groomsmen boutineers, lighting and chair covers.

Maha and her staff did a great job of working with my vision of a rustic fall wedding. They did a fantastic job on all of our floral. My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and the bridal flowers looked amazing when they were all completed. I thought everything we did came out exactly how i had envisioned and we were so lucky to work with Divine Designs & Events, they are affordable and really worked within our budget and for our vision, however adding some really great suggestions that enhanced the look.

there were little flows when I worked with this vendor, but on top of every thing they did a great job. More understanding regarding the situations on your wedding days. But we all learn. I had my centerpieces and back drop for my wedding done by Divine Design it was something that I will always remember. On the day of my wedding when I walk in I was extremely happy to see how beautiful the hall was looking all because of the back drop. I will truly recommend this place to others, the price is great & you definitely get what you are looking for & even more. One thing to make sure of is be clear. When I signed a contract with Maha, I knew I will have some problem with commutating with her since I have read all her reviews, but the price was so much lower than others and also she has worked with the meadows club before I decided to go with her. She was great with commutating via E-mail and we set up few meeting decide on flower and other decorating details for the wedding.
I will start with the positive things, I loved the how center pieces turned out, we used the center pieces for the ceremony and reused for center places and it turned out great. Back drop was great. Even though few of my friends did not think the bridal flowers and bridesmaids flowers were fresh, but I got what I have asked for and it looked better than I could imagine.
Okay Negatives, I ordered 15 up lighting for the room only 10 or 11 up lighting was place unevenly at the hall, my wedding planner had to changed the wiring to make it more even throughout the hall.
The boutonnieres for family was so small, we have talked about have two or three spray roses on each boutonnieres but she only had one spray roses on each, which was size of my thumb.
I have requested for flowers for mothers but did not get that on my wedding day, my wedding planner had to go to nearest flower shop to obtain this an hour before our wedding.
The worst of all, I could not get in touch with her on my wedding date. I understand that she was hard to commutate with but I wish she would have answered her phone on the day of my wedding.
After talking to her she did refund me some part of boutonnieres and lighting.
I have to say her work is great, the flowers, Back drop, lighting and price cannot be better, but make sure you are willing to deal with commutation issues.

Pros-Recently married Sept 7, 2012- I'll start with this Maha a very pretty and soft spoken young lady was/is awesome in her craft, she presented my dream wedding without a mishap. Everything I asked of Maha was definitely created and then some. My wedding and reception was great the decorations were awesome! All of my guest are still in awe and talking about how great the wedding/reception was a week later. I received tons of compliments on how beautiful everything was and how I raised the bar for future weddings. She created my fairytale ambiance of love and romance. I knew what i wanted and i had a specific vision and she brought it to light.

They lack management and communication skills. I agreed with the assistant on some stuff via email and these were never in my wedding. They also left the center pieces at the banquet and never showed up to put them there my family had to do that. I was really disappointed ;( I still think Maha is talented but she needs to change her team.

This is the only vendor at my wedding that was unprofessional. It was terrifying for me to hear a day before my wedding that she is unsure if she can provide me with everything we talked about.
Very unresponsive to emails and phone calls. She arrived with nothing preplanned and a baby in her hands. She started working on the designs right at the venue from scratch(this is not how its done!)
Our ceremony was 20 min delayed because she didn't finish on time, guests were arriving as she was still working. The florist was still setting up our reception room during our ceremony!
I am very regretful that I hired her for my big day and I hope no other bride have to go through what I did.

description of what service was received:
The orchids were just orchids from the dollar tree that did not even fit in the vases so they stuck out of them looking like weeds. I was supposed to received glamorous cymbidium orchids instead. The "floating" candles that were to top off the vases were metal tealights that would not even stay lit as they were sinking in the water because they are not meant to be in water, besides them also looking incredibly tacky as metal tealights were never discussed nor shown to us in the display she made both at her store and at the wedding expo we visited. Did not receive the Candelabra's at all. Instead received glass vases that stood on the floor. This was explained to my mother immediately following the wedding that someone from her business had dropped and broke one of the candelabra's. That is unfortunate but it is also unfortunate that we had to rent columns for 40.00 to put the Candleabra's on that we could not use all day because we did not receive the service contracted. In the past I have tried contacting Maha through email 6 times and over the phone 5. One of the those times I spoke with Maha she even stated she would send me a refund of 150.00 (30% refund) of the services. Never received the check, contacted her more because of not receiving the check and she never replied.

HORRIBLE COMPANY. Please never use them. They lied to my mother and I. They were not able to produce anything they conveyed to us. They came an hour before my wedding was to start to begin set up. Everything was rushed and put together last minute. They forgot the Bride and Maid of Honor's special bouquets. Who forgets the brides' bouquet seriously? They were the second highest vendor paid besides my catering/banquet hall and they WERE HORRIBLE. They are a complete scam. We had to get a refund. They were the only vendor that was beyond HORRIBLE and did not produce what they said and what we PAID for them to do. I could go on about these idiots and scammers forever. BEWARE!!
