Jeremy at Discount Dress could not have been nicer. I was soooo worried about going with this because the big shops made me nervous about looking at a discount place, but I happened across a dress in a picture, it took me to Discount Dress, I called and spoke to Jeremy and the rest is history. So nice. Fast service. Very accommodating. Up front. And the dress is just lovely. I'm a plus size and it fit like it was made for me. I'm Mother of the Groom and that is just as stressful as the rest. This was very helpful. Couldn't be happier! Thank you! -

The dresses here are in lots of catagories- really pretty, unlike any in the stores here. Designer names. Quality of my peacock formal well done. Seems finished professionally, fully lined with stays, shawl and optional shoulder straps. Because choosing length did not seem available, hemming may be needed if you are short like me. Jeremy gives excellent old fashioned customer service responding within one day to emails and phone calls. Very patient and available. I got a terrific value with my pretty on sale gown! -

We need inexpensive dresses for a variety of sized for our show choir. We have used this vendor 2. Both times we have been very happy with the service and price. This current dress has given us some problems as it did not say it did not have a full zipper. We are a show choir and we need zippers only. So we are working to solve this problem. -

I was absolutely delighted with them. I ordered the dress on the Friday before a holiday weekend and it still arrived on the following Tuesday. The dress itself is absolutely stunning. It's difficult to believe that i could get a dress of such high quality that would not look out of place on red carpet for this kind of price. -

I have bought 2 dresses from discount dresses and I have been completely satisfied both times. Customer was excellent, they always get back to you promptly. I needed a Matron of Honor, specific color dress. It was hard to go by the color that you see online. I asked Jeremy to match a swatch to the dresses I liked. He went far and beyond and took pictures of the dresses with the swatch up against them. This helped me, a lot. Unfortunately, the dress that matched the color was not a style that would look good on me. Even though I didn't order from DiscountDressShop, I will definitely recommend them to family and friends. Exceptional customer service.
Note: I have managed customer service reps and been in the customer service industry for the past 35 years and expect more than most. Can't say enough about the service I received. -

I ordered dress code to wear on formal night for a cruise and a gala fundraiser the hospital I work for has every year. Great price since on clearance. I LOVE it! Was kind of between small and extra small measurements, so got the small. May need to take the bust in a little, but probably okay with the spaghetti straps. I was a little nervous about ordering a formal dress on line, but I couldn't be happier with my dress! In fact, since our cruise has two formal nights, I plan on ordering another dress from them. -

I have gotten so many complements on the dress I purchased and wore to my daughter's wedding. It fit great, except, I am not 6 feet tall. This is a common problem with plus sized clothing. Just because a woman is plus sized does not mean she is tall. I am 5'3" and the dress was a good 9 inches too long! We had no problem hemming the underskirt, but could not hem the overlay--we ended up just cutting it as evenly as possible and leaving it. I loved the dress, but this did add a little stress to an already stressful time.

I was costuming a rather large holiday production and had pretty specific formal wear needs. Jeremy worked with me every step of the way. He took all the information I sent and worked tirelessly to find all the dresses needed. We were dressing twelve different women with twelve completely different body shapes and they all needed multiple dresses. Jeremy was available for telephone calls as well as emails and was always pleasant. Returns and exchanges were easy, shipping was always timely. We had a large order with dresses of varying sizes. We ended up short on time and needing serious customer support just to get the order placed. Jeremy was a huge help. At the last minute we ended up with two dresses that needed to be returned, and one that needed exchanged. My best friend wedding is july 19th 2014. I had the responsibilities in getting the dresses and I was shopping around and came upon this site discount dress shop and it instantly became my go to store. I stumbled upon the DiscountDressShop.com website by accident as I was surfing the net in attempt to find formal dresses.
I purchased a wedding dress from a retail outlet 40 mins from me one week prior to seeing this site. After my purchase, I was having second thoughts about the dress and its ability to camoflauge my figure flaws (lol). So, I decided I needed a back up wedding dress just in case my figure isn't quite perfect by next fall.
I browsed the site and saw an ivory dress that I thought was unique in style. I was leary at first before placing my order because I have had bad experiences in the past with sites that did not deliver merchandise as promised, and was a victim of fraudulent use of my credit card as a result of placing internet orders.
At any rate, I took a chance. I read the description of the dress several times and looked at all photos of the dress magnified. I called the phone number provided and spoke to a gentlemen named Jeremy. He was very helpful with assisting me with ordering the right size. He was pleasant, professional, and sounded very happy to have my business.
I received my dress today. The company sent it certified mail to make sure I received it which was a big plus! The dress was FANTABULOUS!!!!!!! The picture does it no justice. The style # 7701 the Ivory Halter-corset-bodice-bridesmaids-evening-formal-dress. The dress is by Cinderella.
The dress is simply MARVELOUS...It was exactly as pictured but BETTER in person. The fit was great for my measurements. The dress makes me look taller and slimmer. The delivery was ultra speedy. The dress got to me in 3 days. To top that off I got a great deal on the dress anddddd a discount andddddd free shipping!! What more can you ask for???
I highly recommend this website and urge everyone to do business with this company. They will get my repeated business. I have already told family and friends about this site.

We are celebrating our 35th anniversary. I ordered the ivory chiffon/lace shrug to go with my dress. It arrived today and it's absolutely beautiful. I have an ivory Maggie Sottero Mona Lisa Gown. The lace on the shrug has silver threads in it that really compliment the gown. I can hardy wait to wear it at the dinner after the ceremony. Thank you! -

This vendor is great!!! The dress that was purchased was great quality, beautiful, and the price for it was fantastic!!! They shipped out my order the same day and I recieved the item within 2 days. I am a plus size bride and I was uncertain I could find wedding attire in my size that would ship quickly. I sent them an email and they responded within 10 minutes! Answered all my questions. I found this company on Google, I needed bridesmaid dresses but wanted them in U.S.A., I called and a fella named Jeremy walked me through with sizing & checked the inventory, I ordered 2, The deleivery was unbelieveable I recieved them within 3 days!!! I jut bought a 3 dresses from DiscountDressShop and chose the 3 day guaranteed delivery, and it really did arrive on the 3rd day. The customer service was excellent - received timely emails with options (as one of my dresses was not in stock), and friendly customer service by Jeremy.
In terms of dresses, one formal dress was slightly large but 2 other dresses (of the same size) fit perfect. All size small. They all look beautiful!
I would order from them again, especially knowing that if I have questions, customer service is available right away and is willing to work with me to get what I need, when I needed the dresses.
NOTE: If you're ordering from Canada, be prepared to pay GST and customs charges upon delivery.
I've also ordered from other online dress stores and this one is legit, from my experience. The dresses are actually finished and look like the photos they post :)

Regarding DiscountDressShop.com, I ordered 3 dresses for myself for my
daughter's wedding. I received all 3 and was very pleased with the style, colors and workmanship on them. They arrived as promised in a very short time. The 2 I liked best I decided to keep (one for the wedding) so I'd have a lovely one for cruises or formal dances. The 3rd one I didn't like on me or for me, so I thought I could return it for a refund, but it's VERY clear that all I'd get back is a credit toward another order. Although I was disappointed,
it was okay because it was MY responsibility to be aware of this before I ordered it. I have 2 daughters and a granddaughter so I'm sure we won't have any trouble using the credit! Again, the value is exceptional.

The dress I ordered was beautiful..... It should have fit based on the size chart. It did not. It was at least 3" smaller. I could not even zip it. I had to return it. So sad, cause it was what I really wanted. They said the larger size was not in stock.. So buyer beware, order at least 2 sizes larger. They are much smaller in China, where he size chart originated from..... -

Even though prices are good, Cannot get refund only store credit
Very costly to order from this vendor. You have to pay for shipping, try on your dress, and if it isn’t right, pay to ship it back plus a restocking fee. Then to top it off, you can only get a store credit. No refunds to your credit card. Will not order from them again. My good deal turned out to be very expensive. -

I used DiscountDress.com to buy a dress for my senior prom. The dress was relatively cheap (around $235) and arrived exactly when I expected it too, which was fortunate because I was quite rushed. However, when I opened the package the dress was almost a completely different color! Online, it was shown to be a delicate smokey lavender color, but when it showed up the dress was a really deep charcoal gray with hints of purple. The beading on the top is purple, but the dress is decidedly not. This is a pretty big bummer for me, as I was looking specifically for a purple dress and I don't have time to return it and get a different dress, so I have to make due. The quality of the dress otherwise is fine, the size is a bit off in places but I was expecting that, but the color is the big issue. All in all, it's a good website if you need a relatively cheap and well made dress, just be prepared to not receive exactly what you see online. -

I recently ordered a bridesmaid dress from this place. It came with a large white patch on the front, under the bust that literally looked like semen. Needless to say, I was a bit disappointed.
I contacted the Vendor and let them know that they sent me a dirty dress. They told me to please send it back to them. Unfortately I had to take an hour off of work to return the dress to the post office as the post office is only open from 10-5. They also emailed me return postage that did not cover the cost to send it back so I once again had to lose out on money due to their not checking their product before shipping it out.
I asked them to reimburse me for the time that I had to take off of work seeing as this was their mistake and all they did was send me a 20% off coupon.
Needless to say, that is useless to me as I will never order from them again and have already convinced my friends to order elsewhere. Gross situation.

I ordered a dress from DiscountDressShop.com on a Monday afternoon & prior to ordering the dress I tried to contact them via the phone & got a voicemail recording, so I left a message. I never received a return call, so I took a leap of faith and ordered the dress hoping with the expedited shipping my dress would arrive on time. The website clearly states that all dresses are shipped out on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays. It is now Thursday & I have left 2 messages (tried to leave a 3rd, but the mailbox was full) and an email. To date, I have not received any communication with them personally! My email confirmation shows the order was placed, but no tracking information. I did not receive an email as stated on their website within 24 hours that this particular dress/size was not available, so I am assuming it is available. I have never left a bad review anywhere, but the lack of responsiveness by this company has left me no choice. My sister's wedding is May 2nd and need to receive the dress to have time to alter it if needed. -

I cannot recommend strongly enough against this company. Their size charts are wrong (at least the for the three dresses that I ordered). The fact that their size charts are wrong necessitated exchanges, which incurred 15% restocking charges. I find this practice absolutely outrageous. In the end, I ended up with one dress that fit and one that did not. Rather than endure another round of exchanges, incurring additional expense and increasing my frustration, I just gave the second dress away. As a result, I've ended up with one casual dress that has cost me nearly a total of $150. Ridiculous! -

The entire shopping experience with these people was a complete mess. First their sizing guide was way off, I even called to ensure I was buying the right size, and when the dress fianlly showed up it was huge. So I tried calling to exchange the dress and it was going to take another week to get the right size. Oh and by the way to exchage a dress with these people will cost you a 15% restocking fee and extra shipping, and there are no returns only store credit. Their best adivce to me was to have the entire dress altered to make it fit correctly. So save your money and buy a nice dress from a reputable seller. You'll save yourself time, alot of money, and your sanity. -
