Highly recommend Nicole!

We began working with Direct my Day in 2019 when we began planning our wedding. We chose the package where we would begin working with a planner three months out. Our original Oct 2020 wedding was pushed, but that was no problem as our contract was adjusted for our Oct ‘21 wedding.

By the time our wedding came around we had a new planner (Nicole), as the existing one we were assigned had left the company, well lucky for us this was hugely in our favor! Nicole was very attentive and responsive from the start via email and phone. She ensured we were hitting our timeline and no detail was forgotten.

Come day of when we finally met in person, she was just as attentive and kept everything in good order. She helped set up all of the decor we brought and would send me photos as she did so, to ensure it was what I wanted. She has so much energy and gives off a good vibe, one you really need on your big day!

We were extremely pleased with Nicole and would recommend her as your day of planner!

Wonderful!!

Marvyl was the planner for my daughters wedding. She was wonderful to work with. She responded to every text, email in a timely manner. She solved problems and gave advice that was very helpful. On the wedding day she went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect. The ceremony and reception set up was exactly the way we wanted. I defiantly would recommend her for your wedding, It was a wonderful experience.

The best of the best

We went into our wedding day with zero stress all thanks to Lee. She is amazing. She is fast to respond, flexible and comes with amazing recommendations. I would not change one single thing about our day and that is thanks to Lee. On our wedding day Lee and her amazing assistant Sarah quite literally did not stop. The amount of guests that complimented their hard work to us after the fact speaks volumes on how amazing and hard working they truly are! They are the calm in what can be a chaotic day!

We Love Lee!

From the beginning, Lee went above and beyond to answer all our questions, think of all the details, and truly listen to our ideas. She did an excellent job of incorporating our taste while also making helpful recommendations if she thought it would make it a better experience for us or our guests! She consistently checked in with us to make sure all our needs were met and she helped track down all our vendors! When it got to the actual wedding day, I would say it was exactly what we imagined but it was even better than our vision!! She’s truly the best and I 100% recommend her to any future couples!!

Lee is the best!

My husband and I had a destination wedding in Charleston in May 2024, and Lee at Direct My Day made the entire week so perfect and seamless for us! Starting from the beginning, Lee was responsive, easy to work with, and very detail oriented. She met with us multiple times when we were in town for food tastings, selecting rentals, etc. and always worked with our schedules to do so.

What I didn't appreciate early on is how important it is to pick the right vendors who are reliable, easy to work with, and know what they're doing. Lee made these decisions so easy with 2-3 recommendations for each vendor category (based on what we wanted), and we ended up choosing most of our vendors from her recommendations. Fast forward to wedding week, and I didn't have to stress about any of the details the week of because all of the vendors knew exactly what to do, and I could trust Lee to manage them all. I'm a very type A person so being able to trust Lee with everything made the week 1000x better.

The day of our wedding was so seamless and perfect. Our entire timeline was perfectly planned, and we never felt rushed or stressed at any moment. Lee, Jordan, and Sarah perfected every single detail, and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I even forgot to bring my reception outfit change, and they went to my hotel to get it for me!

We are so happy we picked Lee and Direct My Day, and we would highly recommend them for your wedding!

Sierra with direct my day is AMAZING!

Sierra with direct my day was amazing! She really made sure that our day went exactly as planned and her attention to detail was impeccable. She accompanied us to our rehearsal and also setup all of our decorations day of with very minimal direction. We had lots of moving pieces with multiple vendors and she was able to build us a timeline and keep everyone/everything on track. I loved how on top of everything she was and would recommend her to any bride that is feeling overwhelmed by the wedding planning process. Our day would not have been the same without her!

Rain on you wedding day, no problem!

Sierra was hands down the most integral part of bringing our wedding together. Her calm demeanor transcended over my nerves and the ceremony and reception was smooth and flawless. Her eye for detail over every table arrangement to special family picture made the presentation of our families love reflect onto every guest that entered. I couldn’t have had a better wedding, not possible. It was perfect. And even with the unexpected rain I couldn’t have envisioned this special day being more skillfully and smoothly ran. My deepest appreciation goes to Sierra and her team.

Beautiful Draping

Tanis used her draping talents to transform my wedding site into the most beautiful gorgeous venue, the whole place had such a soft and romantic feel. Tanis had the added challenge of building me a mandap for the Hindu ceremony and it was PERFECT and stunning. I know it was no easy feat! Do not hesitate to book Tanis, she is very easy to work with and is so creative!

We were so lucky to have Lauren help us through planning our wedding day. Lee was an amazing wedding planner!

Lee was such an amazing month of wedding planner! She went above and beyond! We planned a wedding for my daughter from Dallas and the wedding was on the Isle of Palms. I was always at ease knowing that Lee had everything covered. She even brought us mimosas at the nail salon we were having our nails done!!! I got to totally enjoy every minute of the wedding because she had it all under control! I highly recommend Lee!!!

Sierra was our lifesaver! Best decision ever!

We hired Direct My Day for a day of coordinator for our wedding. With some changes a few weeks from our wedding, we ended up working with Sierra Roach. My husband and I refer to her as our lifesaver. From the moment I first talked to Sierra she gave me confidence and she delivered. Our wedding day was executed flawlessly. She always had a smile on her face and no task was too small. She helped coordinate our day between different venues, helped set up and break down, transported things between venues, all while being attentive to us and our families. Sierra understood our needs often before we even thought it ourselves, she was a blessing. Hiring direct my day and our last minute change to Sierra was the best decision we had for our wedding! Lee is just THE best!!!

We had the absolute pleasure of having Lee be our day of coordinator for our wedding (although, she helped way above and beyond day of!). We had seen Lee at our friends wedding and instantly knew she would be the perfect fit to help us on our wedding day. Lee gave thoughtful recommendations to help us find the BEST vendors, answered any questions we had right away and provided advice where needed. She has so much knowledge and experience that helped us in so many ways. We had a meeting a few weeks before the wedding to run through all our questions and planning, and it put us at ease. The day of our wedding ran so smoothly that it was very enjoyable for us! We didn't worry about a thing that day. Everything was on time, organized, set up perfectly, and just overall handled. Our family was so appreciative that they didn't have to worry about running around and making sure everything was taken care of. We had one minor thing happen where the bus drop off didn't stop for us to take a photo, and Lee got right on the phone and had them come back immediately so we could get the shot we were hoping for without hesitation. I cannot, cannot recommend Lee enough. We were absolutely thrilled with her help!!! You will not be disappointed if Lee is your planner :) Best decision we made was to hire her!

Lauren was amazing!

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and a huge portion of that is credited to Lauren! We used the partial planning package which was perfect for us. I wanted to choose the vendors personally and communicate with them about my expectations. I used Lauren's list of recommendations for all of our vendors and I cannot say how perfect of a match they all were! She even has vendors that give a discount for working with her because she is so organized and great to work with from the vendor side of things. Her knowledge of the Charleston wedding industry is amazing! The week before our wedding she took completely over and handled the communication with vendors and organized all the logistics for the day of as well as create the floor plan and timeline.

The day of our wedding could not have been any more stress free for me. Lauren and her assistants had everything planned, organized, and running so perfectly. I didn't have anyone asking me questions about logistical things or problems that came up-all I had to worry about was what flavor of mimosa I wanted while getting ready. I walked into the venue and it could have not been put together more beautifully! Lauren and her assistants managed to fit our large guest count comfortably into the space and had it decorated like I always imagined. The ceremony and reception ran perfectly to the timeline. She even brought my husband and I our food at the reception and made sure we always had a full glass-things you don't think are a big deal, but they are! My parents couldn't stop raving about how helpful and amazing Lauren was behind the scenes that I didn't get to see. She stayed behind hours after the reception ended to help my family pack and clean up so that we could get our deposit back. We are so thankful for Lauren for being our lifesaver on our wedding day!

Nicole with Direct My Day will truly make your wedding day a dream come true. From our very first phone conversation, I knew she was organized, attentive, caring, and truly puts her brides first. She was all of that and more. Nicole made sure I got the perfect package to meet our needs while being within our price range. Wedding day, she made sure my vision came to life and even better, as she provided all setups day of straight to my phone. She is so sweet and she even provided me and my mom a surprise for wedding day. It was truly amazing. Incredible Day-Of Coordination

Lauren Tracy was our day-of coordinator for our wedding reception at Creek Club at I'On in December 2021. She was absolutely incredible. She worked with me for the 3 months leading up to the wedding, helping me to get organized and making recommendations based on her extensive experience. One of my favorite parts of wedding day was arriving to the reception venue, seeing how she had brought everything together for a beautiful and unforgettable event. Throughout wedding day, she seemed to be everywhere at once, but somehow managed to check on my husband and me to ask if we needed anything constantly throughout the night. After our send-off, the break-down/clean-up process was seamless and my parents hardly made it back from the send-off line before it was all done. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Taylor and Nik's wedding.

Lee was a consummate professional. We were supposed to have the wedding outside but rain cancelled that at the last minute. If you hadn't known that it was supposed to be outside you never would have known. We had a cross with flowers and I asked them to move it inside. Next thing I see they are coming to the venue with a cross on the back of a golf cart. They turned it inside in a flash and made it seamless! She and her assistant, Nicole, went over and beyond to help us. They even went back to our rented house to retrieve something we had forgotten! It was a beautiful wedding and my baby girl was a happy bride!! Thank you Lee and Nicole for a perfect day!!

I cannot say enough great things about Lee Domikis, our wedding planner from Direct My Day. My daughter's wedding was this past weekend, and I credit Lee with how flawlessly it turned out. Lee is such a knowledgeable professional -- I relied on her experience to help choose all of our vendors, and they were all superb. Lee was so generous with her time, always happy to answer all my many questions throughout the planning process. And the day of the wedding -- she worked so hard (always with a smile!), and was insistent that my family could all relax and just thoroughly enjoy the wedding. It was the best day ever. Nicole is amazing

If I could give 10 stars I would, Nicole was amazing throughout the whole process, from start to finish she was there to help me pick and plan essential pieces. I am very type A and I wanted to be very involved in the planning process and Nicole was super helpful and supportive. The wedding day would not have been the same without Nicole and her assistant. Both of them helped with our dogs on the wedding day and went above and beyond to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. I loved my surprises and gifts that Nicole spent extra time and effort into, and it really showed how much she cares. My wedding day would not have been the same without her! Phenomenal

From the first moment we spoke with Lauren on the phone she put us completely at ease about our wedding. She handled everything from catering coordination to music to photography. The day before the wedding we took in our few decorations and day of she brought in her own flowers and greenery and made the space more beautiful than we could’ve ever imagined. Can't Imagine my Wedding Day without Them

Lee was absolutely amazing! She was so helpful making sure I was thinking of every little detail 3 months prior to our big day and making sure everything was scheduled appropriately. I am a Covid bride and was planning a wedding in South Carolina from Jersey and Lee truly made it such a painless and enjoyable experience! When it came time to changing dates she was incredibly flexible and accommodating. As we got closer to the date she took complete control of setting up a timeline and communicating with all my vendors so I was able to focus on myself, my husband, and our guests! We were not able to meet in person prior to my wedding so she made sure to attend our rehearsal dinner to get to know myself, my husband, and my family prior to the big day! The day of the wedding she made sure everything was perfect. She was on top of her game and made sure everything little detail was perfect. She even made sure my husband and I got home safely after the wedding! I could not have done it all without Lee and Direct my Day!

Amazing!!!!

We met Lauren when we were touring a wedding venue, and saw she was hard at work preparing for a wedding that day. We chose and trusted Lauren to make our day amazing and she did not disappoint! She made sure everything and everyone was in place, and handled the set up and breakdown of our decor. She even loaded everything up in our car at the end of the night. Neither my husband or I had to worry about anything on our wedding day. Lauren took care of every detail. She even made sure my mother in law was comfortable the whole night after she had an emergency surgery the day before our wedding. I'm so glad we hired Lauren!!!!!!

Do yourself a favor & hire Direct My Day!

I hired Lee Domikis with Direct My Day as my Day of Coordinator. I did most of my wedding planning myself, but knew I did not want to handle all of the smaller details needed for the big day. I cannot say enough amazing things about Lee! She took my vision for my wedding and brought it to life. Lee started working with me about 3 months prior to our wedding. She was so organized, available for communication whenever I had a question, and she really did do all the smaller things that I did not want to do myself, or designate someone from my family to do. When the big day arrived, Lee was there to set up everything needed from the decor to table cloths, candles, keeping vendors on a timeline etc. She even cleaned everything up and placed it all in my mom’s vehicle to take home. I can honestly say my wedding went so smoothly. My husband, family & myself were even able to enjoy our day. If there was something that did not go according to plan, I seriously didn’t know about it. Thank you, Lee, for helping to make my wedding everything I dreamed of!

Lee is the absolute best!

Lee Domikis with Direct My Day was an absolute pleasure to work with! We had to postpone our wedding date twice due to COVID and ended up moving to another city before our wedding in Charleston and she did a fantastic job of making sure everything got done. She kept us on task and on schedule while still being incredibly sweet and made the whole process the least stressful planning a wedding could be! In fact, our florist bailed less than 2 weeks before our wedding saying she could not longer stay within our budget and Lee was able to find a replacement florist that was absolutely incredible AND within our budget—Lee saved the day! We loved her so much that my sister is now going to have her be the planner for her upcoming reception.

Absolutely Amazing!

I booked Tanis for my wedding this July. Her work was phenomenal and I highly recommend booking her ASAP. I originally booked Tanis for my wedding that was going to be in December to add a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony. Fast forward, the pandemic happened and I had to move my wedding to July of this year. As stressful as that was, Tanis was so understanding and accommodating throughout the process. I absolutely loved the design and decor for my ceremony. The draping took it to another level. Love, love, love!

Wedding reception draping

Tanis and her team did wonderful job draping Founders Hall for our wedding reception. They turned the back wood paneled wall with TVs into something beautiful and whimsical with their draping expertise. I didn't realize how much draping could set the stage and add so much elegance to a venue space. Tanis is very easy to work with and her team is very professional.

Highly Recommend!

I came to Direct my Day in a very unique situation and from the first conversation I knew they were the right fit. I am a wedding planner myself, based in Charlotte. I had a client who was getting married in Charleston but my quickly approaching due date was going to prevent me from traveling to execute the wedding. I worked with Lee to transition all the plans and have her finish out the service, including running the day. Her communication and attention to detail were both incredibly reassuring the entire time, and put both myself and my client at ease. She was so helpful with finalizing details and carrying out the day exactly as we envisioned- even FaceTiming me on the day- which was so thoughtful. Experienced& Professional- hire them!

Lauren and Nicole were amazing! I worked closely with Lauren to coordinate vendor and leading up to the day of but she was already booked for another wedding that day and brought in another Direct my day planner for my day of needs. Nicole made my entire day go SO smoothly and was actually brought in just a few days before my wedding because my original day-of planner got sick just before my wedding. Direct My Day was so professional and had everything under control- Nicole literally saved the day. She had everything covered and it all went so smoothly with just a few days notice. Most people would panic if they got a call saying their planner was sick days before their wedding but Direct my day made me feel like they had my back and everything would be fine! Both Lauren and Nicole immediately called me and got Nicole up to speed. I think this really speaks to their experience and commitment to clients!! I'd recommend them to anyone getting married in the Charleston area!

Thank God for Alison with Direct My Day

Alison was great during the planning and lead up to our wedding, as my wife and I can be a bit controlling and Alison just rolled with it and provided the help we needed, when we needed it.

More importantly though, we used her for the day of coordination for both the rehearsal dinner, and the Wedding Day itself. These took place at a beach house on Folly, and in retrospect could not have happened without her. She showed up, and took everything out of our hands so we could focus on getting ready, enjoying our experience, and having fun with our guests. It still amazes me what she got done, and the way she made a decision and rolled with any day of snafus to the point we didn't even know about them. She was professional, worked hard, and made our day everything we hoped!

Choose Direct My Day - worth it!

We found Lauren Tracy a month before the wedding, and she just happened to have my date available (she was booked solid after)! She was easy to work with and was able to answer all my questions and give great advice when putting my day together! She helped with last-minute details & even helped fix my arch when the florist got it wrong. Lauren and Direct My Day are definitely the ones to choose when looking for a Coordinator!

Lee Domikis with DirectMyDay exceeded all my expectations. Trust me when I say there is not a better wedding planner out there. She helped keep me on task with what needed to be done up until the wedding day. She created a timeline and organized set up and break down with all the vendors. She was there from start to finish the day of the wedding and ensured everything was perfect and better than I could have imagined. She was so kind and I always enjoyed talking with her. No worries

Lauren and her team helped our wedding day go down without any problems. Lauren was readily available throughout the day to tackle any questions or concerns or wrenches in the plan. We forgot our wine bottle opener for a special bottle of wine for portraits. She found a bottle opener so quickly, I never had a chance worry to about it. She made our wedding day easy going and carefree so that we could enjoy our day instead of stressing about the small things. She is level headed and a problem solver, and she is someone you need on your wedding day!!

If you're planning a wedding and need help, your search ends with Direct My Day. Lauren Tracey is about to be your new best friend. She was such a relief and exactly what I needed when wedding planning became overwhelming and stressful. During my initial inquiry, Lauren was eager and wasted no time. Through two years of planning, she was proactive, maintained prompt communication and her direct yet amiable personality was great to work with.
Lauren comes equipped with a committed team, an established network of vendor partnerships (which may be beneficial to those with a tight budget), and her extensive knowledge ranks her incomparable to others in the wedding industry. Best Decision

Hiring Lauren at Direct My Day was the smartest decision I made throughout the wedding process. Come the day of the wedding, I didn’t lift a finger. She made every transition and moment run flawlessly. She was always there if we needed her and made sure every little detail was handled that I never would have thought of. Even the weeks leading up to the wedding, she answered all my questions in a timely manner and always made sure to check in to see if I was okay or if I needed anything. Honestly, my wedding would’ve been a complete disaster without her. Perfect Wedding

One of the very best decisions I made was hiring Lauren. I did the Day of Coordination package but she was there for me so much more than just the day of. We originally had a 2020 date that had to be moved to 2021 and Lauren did not forget a single detail within that year that we had to postpone. While as part of this package I was responsible for booking my own vendors, Lauren sent me fabulous suggestions and even reminded which vendors I still needed to secure. And then within a month out she did all the coordinating of details for the big day. I decided to go a fairly DIY route in terms of decorations and Lauren absolutely crushed this part. I dropped off a few boxes of decorations the morning of with one word descriptions of where I was thinking. She not only assembled everything exactly as I would have but even added a lot of her own decorations she had that really made the place look magical. It was a very windy day and she managed to improvise and make the outside look great even with 20 mph winds. During the wedding itself it was clear that Lauren is a pro. Her and my photographer, DJ and venue coordinated to make it an absolutely seamless night. She looked out for my new husband and I by continually checking in to see if we needed anything (bringing us the signature cocktail that had been passed around while we did pictures, bringing me a tissue while my Maid of honor made my sob during her speech, bustling my dress for me so that I could dance). Lauren does its all; she makes it a fabulous night and manages to not let a single detail go unnoticed. My husband and I are so grateful we found her to direct our day!! Thank you Lauren!

Booking Direct my Day was the best choice I made during my wedding planning process! Zoe was my day-of coordinator, and the package provided SO much more than just day-of coordination. Zoe was there for me through all of my questions and concerns during the planning process, and it was so easy to reach out to her whenever needed! Ask for Lee!!

Lee with Direct my day was the absolute best!! I initially didn’t plan on hiring a coordinator as my husband and I were planning a very small wedding (made even smaller due to covid) but reached out to this vendor only a couple months prior to my wedding day as I became increasingly aware that I’d really need an extra hand on the day of so my family and I could focus on enjoying the big day. BOY was that the best decision I made because Lee was awesome!! She worked with us as our day of coordinator which included month of services like timeline assistance. She contacted all my vendors and put together our timeline as soon as we were 30 days out, no follow up required. She even offered to meet in person and walk through the venue together, however, I am located out of state so we weren’t able to coordinate. Instead, she went out of her way to stop by my hotel so we could meet face to face the day before our wedding. And when our venue informed her the DAY before our wedding that they did not allow large sparklers (like I had already purchased) Lee manned the last minute hunt for shorter sparklers, and eventually had to cut the larger ones down by hand as the smaller sizes weren’t available locally. Additionally, the venue informed her she’d need to be on site two hours earlier than we had scheduled, but she made herself available and the day went without a hitch. All my decor was set up exactly as I hoped it would be, and I didn’t have to worry about a single detail all day. When I noticed the musicians were playing the wrong playlist, she was on it! When I was desperate for a glass of water, she brought it! When I was about to do my sparkler exit barefoot, she had my shoes, LOL. Bottom line, hire Direct my Day. Ask for Lee.

What would we have done without Lauren?

I met Lauren when my husband and I were looking at venues. She was setting up for another wedding and was very friendly and helpful. I was a confused new bride and she took a few moments to answer some questions about wedding planning and put me at ease about the whole process. As a teacher myself, I knew Lauren would be able to juggle a lot of things at once because of her own previous teaching experience. Throughout our wedding day my husband and I kept glancing at each other and saying "man I'm so glad we hired Lauren." Our transportation company royally screwed up on the day of our wedding making a large majority of the wedding late. I walked into the venue and Lauren immediately calmed me down and had a thought out list of how we should move forward with the day. I have no idea what I would have done without her quick thinking. Tanis was a life safer. We had to change ballrooms at the last minute due to COVID restrictions. I reached out to Tanis just a few weeks before the wedding. Brilliance

We contacted Lauren on a whim. We wanted to get married, and we wanted to get married quickly. As a gay couple we weren't exactly sure how difficult it would be to find everything we needed. We googled and got lucky clicking on Direct my Day Charleston or maybe it was Lauren, our wedding planner, we got lucky with. Lauren made our day perfect with only 4 weeks notice. We had a beautiful intimate tree side ceremony with some of our closest family and friends.

Lauren was then tasked with preparing our reception for May, which was 6 months later. None of us could have known that Covid-19 was going to ruin those plans. Right up until the last second we were determined to push forward. Our family and friends were flying in from all over the world. We had our colors and music and games and fun... We had it all planned out.

It took my husband and I looking back at our beautiful ceremony to realize that cancelling our reception was the right decision to make. When we met with Lauren to finalize the cancellation, you could feel her heart break for us. She had become a part of our family. This woman made our dream of "happily ever after", our reality. Thank you, Lauren! Thank you, direct my day!

Lee is amazing to work with!

My husband and I just got married on 3/14/2020 at Dunes West. The venue included reception coordination so we were just in need of a day of coordinator to handle the ceremony coordination as well as handle set-up the day of our wedding. Lee was the absolute best and went above and beyond to meet all of our needs! I didn’t have to worry at all the day of the wedding as she took care of all of the decor set-up and it all looked amazing! Our rehearsal and wedding day ran so smoothly because of Lee. We are so incredibly happy with our decision to have a day of coordinator it made everything so stress-free. Lee even meet with me in person a few months before the wedding to go over the details of the wedding. She was great communicating and being so responsive throughout the entire planning process. She worked so well with the other vendors and even contacted them all the week of the wedding. You will be so happy if you get to work with Lee she is truly a professional!

No worries and a perfect day!

If anything went wrong I had no idea which is the way it should be! Lauren was organized, punctual and able to wrangle our rowdy crew lol! Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend Direct My Day Charleston to anyone who is engaged :)

Lauren is the planner you want if you want someone that is extremely detail oriented and will go above and beyond for your special day. She made our 15 year Wedding Vow Renewal perfect! The only thing I had to do was enjoy getting ready to walk down the aisle to my love once again!!

Amazing!!!!!

There are not enough words to explain how wonderful DMD Charleston is. I knew immediately after speaking to Lauren over the phone that I was going to hire her as my day of coordinator. We were a destination wedding & all of our family cannot stop talking about how perfect everything was. She was on top of everything from filling our drinks all night, taking pictures, to even holding my nephew when she knew my sister in law needed someone to grab him for a moment. There was never a time when I called or text her through out the planning process that she didn’t return my phone call or message within moments. She kept the bridal party in check, made sure everything ran smooth, put me at ease & offered exceptional customer service the whole time. It also helped that her personality rocks & she was so easy to talk to and get along with. Everything you could possibly want in an event coordinator- she had it. Direct My Day made my day so much easier

I highly recommend Direct My Day (and especially my day of coordinator Lee!) for making the day so much easier! Not only did they offer great advice in advance, they removed almost all the hassle of getting things handled the entire wedding week. I knew that Lee understood my vision and she was able to execute it flawlessly while I enjoyed the day with my family and friends. Direct My Day was also the most affordable coordinator I could find, with the added bonus of their bar service to save money by bringing our own alcohol. Highly recommend!

Lee is wonderful!

It was wonderful working with Lee on our wedding day! Our rehearsal and ceremony ran smoothly, and when we had a small hiccup (the rings got left at the hotel -- funny story!) she quickly found a solution and kept our timeline perfectly. Cannon Green Perfection!

Lauren was our day of coordinator for our wedding and her and her assistant were amazing from start to finish! They made sure everything ran smoothly and everyone was where they needed to be. She knew when we needed something before we had to even ask! Also my crystal belt broke apart during the reception and she fixed it for me quickly. Aly was absolutely amazing. We hired her about 3 weeks out from our wedding. She immediately jumped on the planning and made everything super easy by reaching out to our vendors and making sure we had everything we needed. On our wedding day, she ensured that all vendors were on time and in the right place. She gave us the peace of mind that we needed to enjoy our day and not worry about anything else. Aly was a DREAM!

Direct My Day was everything I needed and more! They helped us find everything we needed for our wedding day and beyond! Aly was our day of planner and she was just perfect! I actually miss her now that the wedding is over! I didn't have a care in the world and it felt like I had a friend there to help me rather than a stranger that had been assigned to me. Hire DMD Today!

If you aren’t hiring Direct My Day you are doing it wrong! I don’t even know where to begin. I found Direct My Day by luck as I was struggling to find a planner who provided solely rehearsal and day of planning. I started out talking with Lauren who could not be any sweeter or more helpful. She already had a wedding booked for our wedding day so she introduced me to Lee from her team. The minute we met Lee we absolutely LOVED her! Our wedding was a destination wedding on Kiawah Island so we were planning everything from Northern Virginia. Weddings are stressful it goes without saying; but planning a destination wedding is a different level of stress! Lee alleviated ALL of my anxiety. I have worked as a professional in the event/marketing field and was blown away by her efforts. She always had helpful tips and advice for us to stay within budget and vendor recommendations. This was extremely helpful being so far away. We also used Lauren’s sweet husband as our officiant who was amazing to work with! Our day was FLAWLESS. I truly mean that. There wasn’t a detail Lee overlooked. It’s rare to have an event go so smoothly, but Direct My Day did just that. My parents were also so incredibly pleased with Lee’s work. We are walking away from the absolute best day of our life. We feel like Lee became more like a close family friend than just a planner. We fully intend on staying in touch. Bottom line...hire Direct My Day for your wedding yesterday!

Day of Coordinating

I was the mother of the groom so I did not have as much interaction as others. I just wanted to say that my son used Direct My Day for day of coordination. The whole day ran smoothly and I always was updated on things coming up. I think that was a huge relief off their backs not to have to set up anything. At the end of the night my car was packed up and we didn't have to wait at all. They made the night where we all got to enjoy the day!

Amazing experience!

Where to even begin. Lauren and her crew made our night so special and we couldn’t have been happier. We shared many calls, texts, and emails together and Lauren was very responsive. Of course, it was our special day so we were nervous and worried the whole time, but Laurent put us at ease and made sure we were taken care of. Fabulous to work with!!

As someone who executes banquets and events for a living, I was throughly impressed my Direct My Day. Lauren was on top it from day one! We had originally booked with a different planner, but we were not feeling like we were a priority with them. So we decided to look elsewhere and were lucky to stumble across DMD. Any silly question we had she was there to give advice and support through every step of the way. They even helped us run our transportation from Folly Beach to Mount Pleasant. We LOVE Lauren!

I hired Lauren for my “day of coordinator” and honestly can not say enough great things about her in 30 words! She helped with anything I asked of her leading up to my big day. She was full of suggestions and advice throughout my planning process. My rehearsal went off without a hitch. She was JUST what we needed! As for my wedding day, she worked her butt off! She was there setting up and pointing people in the right direction while simultaneously popping in to check on me periodically. She did more than I could’ve ask of her and honestly I’m not sure how it’s humanly possible for someone to be as quick and efficient at their job. She’s amazing! I hired Lauren to be my day of coordinator for my March 31st, 2019 wedding at the Charleston Yacht club in downtown Charleston, SC. I couldn’t have made a better choice.
I consider myself to be a pretty picky and particular person and my fiancé and I spent a lot of time planning and detailing every aspect of our wedding. Because of that, I was a little apprehensive about leaving all of my blood, sweat and tears from months of planning in the hands of a complete stranger and hoping that my vision and plan would be manifested, but that’s exactly what happened.
I’m a bit of a control freak and wanted to make sure all the centerpieces, décor, signs, and details would all be placed exactly as I envisioned, but since I had to start hair and makeup early in the morning in time for our First Look, I had no control. I left EVERYTHING in the hands of Lauren and she did a spectacular job.
She set up EVERYTHING! All the signs, ceremony and reception décor, centerpieces, place settings, gift table etc. were placed perfectly. She made everything look beautiful and better than I had imagined.
Even when things went wrong (and something will guaranteed not go as expected), she was there to help. My flower crown from the florist was not the right size and the bouquets were not as I had wanted. Lauren called the florist to come back and get everything fixed. We had an outdoor wedding and the rain held off until about the middle of the ceremony. When the guests scrambled for shelter, Lauren rushed up to hold the umbrella over our officiant so he could see to finish our ceremony and vows.
She was great at keeping our timeline and telling us when it was time for our first dance, and cake cutting etc. She checked on us to see if we needed anything and packed everything back up so when it was time to leave, we were all ready to go.
I can’t say enough kind words about Lauren. I was considering cutting costs and trying to have family help set up and do things myself, but I highly recommend spending the extra money for at least the day of coordinating. It’s totally worth every penny for the peace of mind. I would choose Direct My Day again in a heartbeat. You won’t be disappointed.

Passionate and accommodating!

Direct My Day helped us to make our special day perfect. Lauren was very responsive and gave many great advices. She knows a lot about wedding industry, including many other vendors, and they know her, that makes it so much easier to coordinate. Professional Drapist

Tanis was a life savor to us. Our wedding venue closed a month before our big day and she met me at the walk through of the new venue and helped me create a vision for the space. She arrived on time the morning of our wedding and executed her design perfectly. Tanis was even kind enough to install extra decorations I brought on my own.

Absolutely Blown Away

I cannot even put into words how incredibly impressed I am with Lauren and Direct My Day. Lauren and her team went above and beyond to make our wedding so perfect. Our guests have even told us after the wedding that our planner was amazing and was so organized. How often do your guests rave about a wedding planner?? Lauren was there any time we had a question or concern, months before the wedding. She constantly put me at ease with my constant anxieties and I knew I could trust her. She handled the set up and breakdown like a complete boss...and even stepped in and took care of some linens that our rental company failed to pick up!! She ensured that my husband and I had a drink in our hand at ALL times and even snuck leftover food and wedding cake into our getaway car so that we had it at the end of the night!! Lauren constantly checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. She is truly a GodSend and I couldn't imagine our wedding day without her being there. Day of Coordination at it's Best!

Lauren is so wonderful! We were on the fence about hiring a coordinator for our wedding and I am so glad we did but even more happier we had Lauren!
We chose the day of coordination package, so we had one meeting before the wedding and unlimited communication beforehand. I think this worked perfectly for us!
She definitely knows what she is doing and is not afraid to get onto vendors for you! She set up so much by herself I am truly amazed. Lauren made sure my husband and I ate and always had a drink in hand the whole night!
Our wedding was more than we could have ever imagined and I know Lauren is the reason for that! Nothing went wrong during the entire day and she is so sweet and made us feel so important.
Another huge plus--my parents were starting to gather things to pack up the car at the end of the night and Lauren had already done it!! Cannot ask for anything better (especially for the price). Choose Lauren with Direct My Day for your wedding day!!

Lauren with Direct my Day was absolutely fantastic! I knew that I did not have to stress on our wedding day because I knew she would have everything under control. I am a complete control freak but was actually able to just let go that day because I trusted her. We ended up having TERRIBLE weather but she did everything to make sure the day went flawlessly. Worth the money

Direct my Day helped us alot during our wedding. Lauren and her team are awesome especially with the decorations. They made everything look very nice and presentable. Our whole family we're very happy that they didn't have to worry about anything and that's because we hired Direct my Day. We enjoyed our special day and also our whole family and guest. Direct My Day for the WIN!

I did most of my planning on my own and found all of my vendors but when I got closer to the end I realized I was definitely going to need someone to assist with the day. I used Lauren and her team for Day of Coordinator and bar services and I can't thank them enough for such wonderful services they provided on my big day. I knew from the first phone call with her that she was who I wanted to hire for that day. Very professional and Lauren is VERY passionate about everything going right on your day and the Bride and Groom being stress free and not lifting a finger to do anything. I heard nothing but great compliments from the wedding party and guests on how great she was. From the rehearsal the day before to the time of take down she was on point and ready! Would recommend!

We planned our wedding from out of town and knew we would need some support along the way, but definitely needed a day of coordinator and set-up. Lauren and Tara were wonderful! Their pricing was affordable and absolutely worth it. They are professionals, definitely understand weddings, and came full of energy and hard work. They organized the set-up and arrival of all of our vendors. We had worked with Lauren in advance and she carried our vision independently pre-wedding so we could focus on hair, make-up pictures...and enjoying the day! They were constantly helping, even bringing us drinks during dinner! If I could do it all over, I would make the same choice again -- they helped make our day smooth, easy, and allowed us to focus on each other and our guests.
