From the very beginning, they were professional, responsive, and truly invested in making sure everything went smoothly. We weren’t planning a simple “show up and get married” day — our wedding involved a ton of coordination, and their willingness to work with us on the details made a massive difference in our overall experience.

We did a full buyout of the inn, and it was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding weekend. It gave the entire event a private, elevated feel — like we had our own little world for the weekend.

Having our friends and family staying on-site created such a fun, connected atmosphere and made everything easier:
*Guests didn’t need to worry about commuting
*People could relax and stay in “wedding mode”
*The entire experience felt seamless and special

We also hosted our afterparty at the inn, and it was honestly the perfect ending to the night. It was fun, effortless, and convenient — and we loved being able to keep the celebration going without needing to move everyone to another location.

It felt like the venue was designed for exactly this kind of wedding experience: a big celebration, done beautifully, without unnecessary hassle.

Our experience with Colleen and the rest of the team at Diamond’s Edge / Inn at Diamond Cove was so wonderful from start to finish! Months later, guests are still telling us how special and unique the whole experience of attending a wedding on an island felt and the team at the venue was such a huge part of that!

The inn was the perfect place to get ready, so calm, beautiful, and such a lovely environment for the bridal party as a way to set the tone for the day! The team was incredibly helpful with logistics on the day of, including shuttling us to and from the dock and wedding tent, which made the day feel smooth and stress-free.

In the months and weeks leading up to the wedding, the team was so supportive in helping us coordinate details and bring items over to the island as out-of-towners! They answered all of our many questions about the logistics of having a wedding on an island and hosted a lovely tasting with our families at the Portland Harbor during the planning process!

On rehearsal day and wedding day, Colleen and her team ran everything efficiently and seamlessly! The food and signature cocktails were excellent, and we felt so taken care of, as did our guests!

Great Diamond Island is such a special place, and this team does an incredible job of creating an experience that feels just as magical as the island itself!

I attended a September wedding at Diamond’s Edge, and I truly can’t say enough about how incredible the entire experience was. From the moment we arrived, everything felt seamless and special. The staff was exceptional, attentive, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making the weekend unforgettable. The food was outstanding, and every detail of the event was thoughtfully executed.

What truly sets this venue apart is the island experience. Many of the guests stayed on the island at the Inn at Diamond Cove, which made the entire weekend feel like a destination getaway rather than just a wedding. It was perfect—relaxing, beautiful, and incredibly memorable.

The ferry ride from Portland is only about 30 minutes, making it easy and convenient while still feeling like a true escape. The combination of the stunning setting, exceptional service, and unforgettable atmosphere made this one of the best weddings I’ve ever attended. I would highly recommend Diamond’s Edge to anyone looking for a unique, magical wedding experience.

We had our Fall 2025 wedding on Great Diamond Island and the day could not have been more perfect! Not only is the setting breathtaking, Colleen and Amber-- who was there from rehearsal through last call on wedding night!) were truly a dream team to work with. They answered our many questions and made the planning process a breeze. They both anticipated our needs-- we had a draft timeline in our inbox before I could fully wrap my head around making one-- accommodated our preferences (like making sure the bar had our favorite beer from a Maine brewery), and had a sharp eye for detail that made everything look beautiful, run smoothly, and taste delicious.

When plans or timing shifted, Amber was cool as a cucumber and kept things moving along (at the last minute we decided to greet our guests coming off the ferry at the dock and Amber was right behind us with a golf cart to bring us back up to the ceremony site) without ever rushing us and emphasizing that she was there to facilitate the magic. We've heard repeatedly from our guests that it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've been to and we could not be happier with how our day turned out.

Truly, our day was as beautiful as it was thanks to Amber, Colleen, and the entire Diamond's Edge team.

The Inn at Diamond Cove is truly a one-of-a-kind place to have a wedding. My wife and I toured many venues in the Portland area but fell in love immediately when we arrived at the wedding grounds on Diamond Island. The Island is perfectly quaint and on the quieter side. The outdoor venue has a beautiful view overlooking the water, showing off a quintessential Maine skyline. Colleen and Hannah were so incredibly helpful and very organized leading up to our big day.

As for the day-of, Colleen and Hannah have everything nailed down to a science so you can rest assured everything will go well in their hands. The ceremony site was beautiful. The tent, decorations, table settings, and lighting were also impeccably done. The catering staff nailed their queues and delivered some delicious steaks and fresh fish in a lobster sauce (yum!) without any delays.


Overall, we had a lovely time working with the folks at Diamond Cove and would happily recommend it to others.

My now husband and I got married here 9/9/2023 and could not have asked for a better wedding experience. Colleen, the day-of coordinator through the venue, made sure everything went absolutely seamlessly. You will truly be in great hands. All staff that we encountered were so dedicated to making sure we felt like their #1 priority the entire weekend. From the minute we arrived on the island, we carried nothing and wanted for nothing!

Last but certainly not least, you cannot ask for a more beautiful Maine venue. As 2 Mainers ourselves, it was important to us that our venue showed off the outdoor beauty Maine has to offer. So many of our guests told us it was the most memorable and beautiful wedding venue they'd ever seen. I cannot recommend enough using Diamond's Edge Restaurant & Marina for your big day! We can't wait to return for dinner and weekend stays every year.

My partner Andrew and I were married at Diamond’s Edge Restaurant & Marina in September of 2023 on what was one of the best days of our lives. Planning for the event began roughly a year earlier when, after returning to Maine to raise a family, we sought a wedding venue that would highlight the treasured coastal natural beauty while still being close to Portland. We came to find out that Diamond’s Edge Restaurant was the diamond in the rough we sought.

Stepping off a classic Casco Bay Ferry onto the dock, you are immediately transported away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life into an iconic scene of Coastal Maine tranquility (and away from cell service!) No cars are allowed on the island, resulting in a truly relaxed island experience. History buffs also have the chance to explore historic Fort McKinley - a highlight we didn’t appreciate until after the fact. Whether your guests stay at the Inn at Diamond Cove, a vacation rental, or visit for the day, it will surely be an experience they won’t forget.

The venue itself was remarkable on every front. The scene of a tent reflecting on the ice pond is stunning, only exceeded by the view our guests were treated to with the cove in the background during the ceremony The culinary experience was exceptional, and it was an absolute treat getting to choose from their diverse and rich options for appetizers, entrées, and drinks. But what sealed the deal was the amazing staff of the restaurant, marina, and inn. Their willingness to go the extra mile, find solutions, and focus on the details was so assuring, only exceeded by their commitment to Andrew & I savoring every moment on our wedding day. Thank you, Colleen, Erik, Trent, Crystal, and your whole team!

I got married in September on Diamond Cove and it was an amazing day! Colleen the coordinator was helpful day of as well as the months leading up to it. The location is absolutely spectacular, truly couldn't be more beautiful. The food was delicious, too! Highly recommend.

We had an amazing wedding experience and it would not have been possible without our amazing venue! The staff goes above and beyond as soon as you book with them, and our family is still raving about how kind and accommodating they were during our wedding weekend. It was so convenient to have our ceremony space and reception area next to each other, and our getting ready rooms just a short golf cart ride away. We hosted our rehearsal dinner with them, and the food was top notch for that and for our wedding reception. Having a built in day-of coordinator through the venue was so great, and kept everything running smoothly with vendor coordination and timeline. Not to mention, the backdrop for pictures cannot be beat with the ocean at your feet. I grew up coming to Great Diamond Island during the summers, and I have a whole new appreciation for it now. The island is absolutely magical. I highly recommend booking with them, you will not regret it.

The team at Diamond's Edge was incredible. Everything was planned with plenty of time and the day-of coordinator was extremely helpful. We were able to have the wedding of our dreams, and the team got us through the three year wait for our big day. The food was incredible, and they were able to be flexible within our package so that we could have what we really wanted. Our guests loved the setting and it was truly picturesque. We can't stop looking at our photos! I was a little worried about the destination being an island, but they are a well-oiled machine and made sure that all of our vendors and guests got there. We (two grooms) held a destination wedding at Great Diamond Island. Diamond's Edge provides the tent, tables, chairs, linens, food, alcohol and other things I'm probably forgetting. The day was everything we hoped for and more. It was beyond our expectations. Many of our guests, including my 85 year old mother, said it was the best wedding they've ever attended. If you're looking for a classic Maine setting with delicious food, this should be at the top of your list. The service we received from the management team far exceeded our expectations. You can literally hand over your trust to Jason and know you'll have a perfect day. I'm especially appreciative that they thought of details we never considered. The day was stunning, stress-free, and as memorable as hoped for. We received so many compliments on the setting, quality of food, and organization (we had 178 guests). After considering many options in the Portland area, we feel incredibly fortunate that we chose Diamond Cove. We will have fond memories the rest of our days....

Food was fantastic! Way above average for banquet food! Our special requests were easily accommodated! We had concerns about the logistics of a wedding on an island, but It turned out to be much less of an issue than we thought! Having the Inn on the Island for our wedding party made it even easier!

Diamond's Edge is a GORGEOUS place for an outdoor wedding in Maine. A ceremony under a gazebo on a lawn overlooking the ocean followed by a tented reception with a gorgeous view... it was absolutely perfect. The food is amazing and the people were great. I highly recommend this venue for a perfect New England wedding.
