April was my day of coordinator and I couldn't be more satisfied with everything she had to offer. She took a lot of weight off my shoulders and I was able to completely relax the day of my wedding. The Absolute Best!!!
I’m not even sure where to start with my review. I was in a very desperate situation that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I was married on 10/7/2023 and Details Made Simple (Carla) made sure it was the most beautiful, and least anxiety provoking day. I had previously booked a Day Of Coordinator in March 2023. This DOC promised me the world and more for my October 2023 wedding. We’ll fast forward to August 2023 meeting with my venue, I was alone and freaking out. My DOC (not Carla) bailed on me for the venue meet, and made me feel like I was panicking for no reason with a timeline that will be formulated week before wedding. (Again not Carla)
Thanks to my maid of honor coming through with an amazing recommendation, I was given Carlas’s number after feeling defeated and upset with my previous DOC not supporting me or showing up for me when necessary.
After 2 hour conversation with myself and my mom, I immediately felt at ease with Carla. My concerns were validated as “No way should a timeline be started 1 week before event”. With many tears had during our initial conversation, that night I slept the best I had in all my wedding planning with Carla coming to my rescue and the rest is history.
Details Made Simple is just that, Details Made Simple. From hiring (DMS) that August evening to my wedding on October 7, 2023, I was in The best hands Possible!!!
We had a few phone calls in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and the month leading up to the wedding, myself and Carla were in contact regularly. She never hesitated to answer and email, a text or a phone call. I received updated timelines in my email on the regular, she contacted any vendors with whatever tasks were still not done, to her absolutely loving on my 3 year old niece on my wedding day, Carla was like having an extremely organized “family”member take charge and make sure myself, my husband and my bridal party had nothing to worry about on the wedding day. I can not speak highly enough about DMS services, professionalism and overall delivery of event planning. Carla, I am forever grateful to you!
P.S. Carla was not available for my rehearsal at the church, but we had her team member Shadé.
Also AMAZING. We were not an easy group and she got EVERYONE in place and running our ceremony as it was supposed to be. Thank you Shadé for being there for us!

Carla, Carla, Carla…this woman does it all! I have no words to describe how amazing Carla was. From the first conversation over the phone, it left like we were already friends. She understood exactly what our vision was and where we needed her help for the day of. She worked with us on the timeline and made as many changes as we needed. She is also the best at checking her phone / emails (seriously!). Carla ensured the day or the wedding everything went off without a hitch and we stayed on track. Carla was on top of everything and I knew there was nothing to worry about on the actual wedding day. Carla is your biggest hype woman and will ensure you live your best life. She not only made sure the bride and groom were taken care of but the entire bridal party and immediate family. During the reception she even brought my mom her shoes to change into and brought me baked goods on the dance floor. I can honestly go on and on at how amazing Carla is. Our day would not have been as perfect if it wasn’t for Carla. Everyone needs a Carla in their life! Hiring a day of coordinator was the best and easiest decision!!

Amazing Day of Coordinator
Shanika was an amazing coordinator to work with! She made our day done run so smoothly and I didn’t have to worry about any of the small details. While me and my bridesmaid were getting ready we found out that our hotel had put us in the wrong suite, she coordinated with the hotel and clearly let me know what options I could take. She also had all of the tools to help fix my dresses bustle when it broke. I was able to stay calm and enjoy our fantastic wedding with the help of Shanika!

We worked with Sarah from details made simple and of all the millions of decisions we had to make around our wedding working with Sarah was the BEST decision we made. From the start she was a pleasure to work with and checked in with us each month to make sure we were staying on track. Even several months out from our wedding when I had questions or needed a second opinion she was always a quick phone call away and gave me amazing guidance.
Leading up to our wedding day Sarah was so helpful in putting together our timeline and work though logistical problems. We tweaked our timeline to be absolutely perfect and she kept us AHEAD of schedule on the day.
I can not thank Sarah enough for going above and beyond for us every step of the way. Due to weather and a tree falling in the driveway at our venue we had to cancel our rehearsal 1 hour before! I was planning to bring some items I would need for the next day there and when we realized not having them would delay the photographer Sarah stepped in to shuttle my many belonging there and keep things seamless. She was SO helpful on the day and my husband and I were truly carefree. The first thing I said to my husband when we got back to our room was that I was so glad we had Sarah.
We couldn’t have done it without her. Thank you Sarah and Details Made Simple for giving me the best wedding day!

Worth every penny!
Opting to use a wedding planner was one of our best decisions and Michelle was literally AMAZING through every step of the wedding planning process. She kept us organized, thought of things we would not have, was professional, buttoned up, adaptable, and helped to make the wedding day FANTASTIC. It was a huge help to have her as our go to person on the wedding day. She made sure everything we had planned was taking place and allowed us to focus on enjoying every minute of the day. I have already recommended Michelle to friends and will continue to do so -- she was an absolute pleasure to work with and totally invested in the process and planning!

There are not enough words to express our gratitude to Carla and the DMS team. From our first call Carla told me exactly what I needed to hear: 'I am here to make sure you get to enjoy your day.' As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for a decade, it can be challenging to pull away from working your own wedding. But not with Carla! Carla had fantastic tips, tricks, tip sheets, emergency kit, sewing skills, BTS photography skills (she made us a whole video compilation of content she took!), you name it. She knows how to ease parents but stay on top of vendors, how to keep you calm but get the job done and how to keep you on track but enjoying the process as much as possible. Her dedication, hospitality and genuine care and excitement were beyond what I could have imagined for someone in this role. DMS was one of our cheapest but most necessary vendors - worth every penny AND a generous tip!

Weight off shoulders!
Sarah was my day of coordinator for my wedding. As you know a wedding can be so stressful but thankfully she took all of the weight off our shoulders by being so organized, detail oriented, and a great communicator. Any question or situation we asked or had, she had a solution. During our meeting with the venue, she asked questions that I didn’t even think of. On the day was the wedding she was there every step of the way. She went above and beyond. Providing emergency kits, fans and more! Organizing the venue before the ceremony, and even helping out in every way during the ceremony. I am so so thankful that Sarah was able to help our family out. I truly recommend working with her! Best Coordinator
Nothing went wrong on our wedding day- and that's all in part to Zaakira Harris of Details Made Simple. She had all of our vendors working seamlessly together to install at our historic venue, she was quietly handling things as they came up, and double and triple checking all of the finer details to make sure our vision for the day came true. I am chronically late to everything and she kept me and my bridesmaids on schedule so we arrived on time. A true miracle! From signing our contracting to the wedding day, she was so quick to respond to all of our questions, she offered great vendors suggestions, and sent follow-up reminders of things for us to do. We walked away from every phone call with action items and plans, and as we got way closer to our wedding date, she was really good about transitioning the vendor communications over to her, so that we weren't bombarded with emails or tasks in the last few weeks of our wedding planning. She created a really helpful day-of timeline (down to the minute) so we knew what to expect on our wedding day, and we were given that way in advance, which was so helpful when communicating with our wedding party about when they should arrive for photos or makeup etc. Even after our sparkler exit and our guests left, she oversaw the venue breakdown, packed up, and dropped off our bags and boxes of design elements and leftover alcohol to our hotel. Also, she has such a professional, calm, and warm demeanor- so she is exactly they type of energy you want around you on your wedding day. Would highly recommend.

I booked the 3 month Day of Coordinator with Details Made Simple and it was simply the best decision I made for my wedding day. My Coordinator was Sarah, who was not only a sweetheart but just so attentive and helpful, not only on the day of the wedding but also on the months leading up to the wedding day. She helped me find vendors beforehand and I did not have to worry about one thing on my wedding day as she made sure everything went smoothly and exactly as how I asked. She also took some photos for me so that I had content I could look at during my honeymoon. She honestly felt like a part of my family as she was by my side making sure I was happy the entire day. Couldn't Have Done it Without Them
I cannot say enough great things about our coordinator, Alex. I don't know how we would have survived the day (and the days leading up - she was even the witness for our license) without her. Leading up to the wedding she was attentive, and even gave us friendship/emotional support while dealing with a difficult personal issue before our wedding. The day of, she organized our family for the ceremony, kept us fed/with drinks the whole night, and dealt with a VERY cranky toddler who was demanding french fries (she actually left for 5 minutes to quickly run to the boardwalk to get some!). Multiple family members commented on how incredible Alex was. Every situation that came up, Alex had a solution/idea for - for real, her day of kit was seemingly bottomless. I really can't say enough good things. She was fantastic, we actually kind of miss her now that the wedding is over. If all their coordinators are this amazing, I cannot recommend Details Made Simple enough!

April saved the day!
I am so incredibly grateful for April from Details Made Simple! She was my wedding coordinator and I had her with the Piece of Mind package, which started her services three months out from our wedding date. She was always available for any questions or concerns I had leading up to the wedding and she gave my husband and I multiple wedding resources. She developed relationships with my vendors to ensure proper communication and to execute my vision. Due to unforeseen circumstances, my husband and I had to move 10 days before her wedding and, fortunately, I had April! She was able to take care of last minute details and coordination of vendors leading up to the wedding for me. On the day of the wedding, she was there every step of the way, ensuring I did not have to sweat the small stuff! I can't recommend her services enough! My advice to those that want a day-of wedding coordinator, use Details Made Simple services because, I promise, it is worth it!!

Words cannot describe how grateful I am that we went with Details Made Simple for our day-of coordination. I also want to acknowledge that our coordinator, Ebony Deloney, did so much more than help us day-of. There is a reason why review after review for this team is absolutely stellar. My fiancé and I knew early on that we would want to bring a Coordinator on board as part of our planning, and ultimately decided to go with Details Made Simple and booked their Peace of Mind Package - which lived up to the name and then some.
We worked with Erin for our big day and she was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The attention to detail, and and support we received from the very start proved to be invaluable - especially leading up to wedding weekend when we quickly had to come up with Plan B timeline when the weather didn't quite work in our favor.
Overall, Erin helped bring our vision to life beautifully, she worked closely with our vendors to ensure that every detail was covered and we were able to enjoy our wedding weekend to the fullest having complete trust that Erin had things handled. She went above and beyond not only to make sure that things ran smoothly, but that my fiancé and I enjoyed our day as well.
I could go on endlessly! But the best thing you can do as part of your planning is to bring this team on board, and just let them do their thing.

They're Perfect At Making Every Detail Simple
My wife and I got married in May 2023, at Crystal Plaza in Livingston, NJ. We used "Details Made Simple" as a day coordinator, but they were so much more than that. Prior to the wedding, Carla Friday made sure that we were on top of our game. When we needed something, Carla provided great advice and recommendations.
During the wedding, Carla and her assistant made sure that every detail flowed flawlessly. TBH, I don't know if any vendors were late or off beat, but it's because Carla was everywhere making sure everything was on point. She had to do at least 20,000 steps that day lol. On a serious note, Details Made Simple is the perfect name for this business. I 100000% recommend Details Made Simple to anyone that would like their wedding to flow seamlessly.
She even helped take care of our 4-legged son (dog)!!!
Carla, Marisella and I would like to sincerely thank you for everything. You were such a big factor in making the best day of our lives perfect.

April from details made simple was the best investment we made for our wedding. Leading up to our day we had several calls that helped me navigate what needed to be done! She was in contact with all my vendors and had lists and schedules for everyone. We were all always on the same page. She was very knowledgeable and gave great suggestions when I was stumped on making decisions. Day of she kept us on track, organized all the things I brought in, bustled my dress, made sure we had food and drinks, advocated for us when our venue was being difficult and truly kept me feeling calm. She was my right hand the whole day and made the day so enjoyable for me and my family!

TLDR: I literally adore Kim and Carla and if their kindness is any reflection of all the coordinators here, you should run, not walk, to hire them. The pictures show Carla behind the scenes, running the day.
I was so nervous about the entire process of planning a wedding and came across Details Made Simple. Their packages and the services offered were everything I needed and more to help give me peace of mind that I could do this.
Kim helped me plan the day of timeline, ensured all the vendors were in the loop on expectations, though on the day of, she was sick (with a 100+ degree fever) and still drove all the way to the venue to check on me, make sure I was set up, and introduce me to her boss, company owner Carla who was going to take over for the day. That level of kindness is so rare and I still get emotional thinking about how much Kim did for me in the lead up to the big day.
Carla, who is in my opinion the queen of all things detail oriented, took over and within minutes it felt like I'd known her for years. She coordinated the arrival and setup for all vendors, ensured that the schedule didn't get too cramped or overwhelming, and helped manage some of the more stressful moments of the day - all while making me laugh and taking the pressure off.
My planners helped in making sure that decorations look as planned, wrangled all those complicated family “must have” photos, and distributed tips and final payments at the end of the night. I was able to be in the moment because of my wedding planners, Kim and Carla, and I appreciate their added care and unwavering defense of my husband and my happiness on the day of – acting as bouncer, hype women, point person, and confidant the whole day long.
