Working with our wedding group travel specialist, Andrea, was one of the best decisions we made.
We actually booked Fiesta Americana sight unseen based on her recommendation, which felt like a big leap at the time. But she had other couples who raved about it, and she was so confident that we trusted her. She was absolutely right. It ended up being the perfect location, and our entire wedding week went seamlessly.
Andrea was incredibly attentive, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. Coordinating travel for a large group can be overwhelming, but she made it feel easy. Our guests were well taken care of, everything stayed organized, and it allowed us to actually enjoy the experience without stress.
Even when there was a major hiccup in Puerto Vallarta, Andrea immediately stepped in and made sure we felt supported. She offered options, including rescheduling based on the situation, and made sure we were fully informed and comfortable with our decision. We ended up moving forward, and everything turned out perfectly. Everyone felt safe and had an amazing time.
If you are planning a destination wedding, I cannot recommend Andrea enough. Having someone you trust guiding you to the right location and managing your group travel makes all the difference.DestinationWeddings's reply:

Working with Maggie Elles from Destination Weddings was honestly one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process.
From our very first consultation, she made everything feel easy and exciting instead of overwhelming. We started working with Maggie in January 2025, so she was with us every step of the way leading up to our February 2026 wedding. She asked all the right questions—budget, vibe, guest count, priorities—and really took the time to understand what we wanted. After that, she sent us several amazing resort options across Puerto Vallarta, Cabo, Cancun, and Riviera Maya that all fit our vision so well.
We ended up choosing Hard Rock Riviera Maya, and it was absolutely perfect for us. Our biggest priorities were great food and making sure our guests had reasonably priced rooms, and Maggie nailed both. We had about 70 guests, and she helped coordinate everything—from booking rooms to organizing transportation. She even handled special logistics, like arranging shuttles for our photo/video team coming from Playa del Carmen instead of the airport.
One thing that really stood out was how easy she made the process for our guests. Between her clear communication and how smooth the Destination Weddings booking system is, everything felt super straightforward. We heard nothing but positive feedback from our guests about how easy it was to book and how helpful she was whenever they had questions.
Maggie was always so responsive and patient, no matter how many questions I had (which was a lot). She’s incredibly knowledgeable and clearly has great relationships with the resorts, which made a huge difference throughout the process. She was also completely transparent when it came to pricing and had no problem walking us through exactly how the financial side of everything worked, which gave us so much peace of mind.
The only issue we had the entire trip was when my husband and I arrived and our room got mixed up. We had planned to have that first day to ourselves, but instead we were waiting for hours and then got a room that didn’t feel right for our wedding stay. I reached out to Maggie, and she immediately jumped in and handled everything. She did not stop until it was fully resolved—and because of her, the resort upgraded us to the presidential suite for the entire week. Honestly, that ended up making our wedding week even more special than we imagined.
She also surprised us with the sweetest gift basket filled with treats, tequila, and pool goodies, which was such a thoughtful touch.
I truly can’t say enough good things about Maggie. She made the whole experience feel smooth, fun, and stress-free, and she went above and beyond every step of the way. I don’t plan on getting married again, but I genuinely wish I had another reason to work with her!

Cabo Wedding
I cannot say enough good things about our travel agent Jocelyn!!! She helped us plan our wedding in Cabo and made the process so incredibly smooth and easy. Mónica Castorela was the BEST
Monica was by far one of the most helpful people we worked with when it came to anything regarding our wedding. I planned my wedding by myself and paid for it all myself along with my partner. I enjoyed the process but like any bride in my situation of course there were times where things went wrong or I needed help with something I couldn’t do on my own. Monica was always available to answer questions and chat with us, either by phone/email/text. Sometimes I even felt bad because she was so responsive, and every little question we had she was there for us, I hope we didn’t drive her too crazy 😉 Some guests needed extra help or hand holding and Monica was helpful to everyone throughout the travel and booking process, taking a huge weight off me to handle those issues. There were a few things I wasn’t happy with during the process of working with the wedding team of the resort I chose, and Monica was always there to help or take our side to get things moving or clarified. It was really nice feeling like you had someone in your corner who knows the ins and outs of all the resorts and how things work with planning a wedding overseas. Truly, Monica kept me sane and I wouldn’t have been able to handle everything as well if I didn’t have her. I recommend her 10/10!DestinationWeddings's reply:

My wife and I had an incredible experience working with Samantha through Destinationweddings.com to plan our dream wedding at Unico in Mexico. Samantha was always super quick to write back or willing to jump on a phone call any time we had any questions regarding the planning process, contracts, travel, or anything any of our guests needed. On top of that, she helped arrange all of our shuttle transportation to and from the airport and resort, which was one less thing on our plate to worry about. We had one point where there was a good bit of stress with another outside planner helping as a middle man between the resort and our planning, but Samantha helped make some calls and adjustments to get everything back on track, which was a huge help through the stress. Ask for Melinda Destination Weddings! 20/10
We are officially back and almost recovered from one of the BEST trips we've ever been on! Impressions Moxché was absolutely phenomenal and we are beyond happy that we ended up splurging and staying there.
We absolutely loved the attention to detail, the decor, the drinks and the service! Everything was great at the Secrets side as well, but especially on the Impressions side. We could really feel the elevated service and detail there. OMG and the FOOD! WOW! We would have never guessed that it was an all inclusive resort with the quality of food all over both resorts. The resort was everything we had imagined and more to say the least. 11/10!

My partner and I recently went through Destination Weddings for our wedding in Mexico. Our specialist, Andrea Coots, did a wonderful job supporting us from assisting in finding the right resort for us all the way through the time we got back from our wedding. Andrea is caring and quick to respond with any question that we threw her way. We were so happy with the venue and how our wedding day turned out! There were some hiccups in our guests’ travel home because of unsuspected flight delays; however, Andrea jumped in to support all of our impacted guests with rescheduling shuttles and navigating resort reservations. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Valerie LeConte from DestinationWeddings.com. From day one, she was incredibly helpful in guiding us to the perfect resort based on our vision, priorities, and guest needs. Our wedding took place at Hotel Xcaret Mexico in January of 2026, and Valerie helped us confidently choose this resort after thoughtfully considering everything we were looking for.
We had a very large group, which can be overwhelming to manage, but Valerie handled everything with professionalism, patience, and ease. She was so supportive not only to us, but to every single one of our guests throughout the process.
Communication was the most important factor for us when choosing a travel agent, and Valerie exceeded our expectations in every way. She was extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and informative throughout the entire 14 months we worked together. No question ever felt too small, and she consistently made us feel confident and supported during the planning process.

We worked with Melinda Shelley from DestinationWeddings.com for our June destination wedding, and we truly cannot say enough good things about her. Melinda is personable, kind, and genuinely cares about making her couples’ wedding dreams come true.
We faced a lot of unexpected challenges with our hotel, including language barriers and the hotel being sold during the same month as our wedding. It was stressful, to say the least—but Melinda went above and beyond every step of the way. She got directly involved, helped resolve hotel issues, and made sure our wedding still happened as planned.
She was always available, took all of our calls, answered every email, and patiently walked us through every question and concern. Her dedication, professionalism, and compassion made an incredibly difficult situation manageable and ultimately successful.

Our destination wedding was truly a dream come true, and Maggie Elles played a huge role in making that happen. She was incredible to work with—so responsive, organized, and genuinely caring toward both us and our guests. Maggie joined multiple Zoom calls to ensure every detail was perfectly communicated and even continued assisting with vendors after the wedding, which went above and beyond our expectations.
Having transportation included made the booking process nearly carefree for our guests, which was a huge plus. The only challenge we experienced was that the Destination Weddings website was frequently under maintenance, which caused some booking issues for guests at times. Thankfully, Maggie was always there to help resolve any concerns.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience and have already recommended Destination Weddings and Maggie to our close friends. We are so grateful for her and would choose them again in a heartbeat.DestinationWeddings's reply:

We had the pleasure of working with Andrea Coots for the travel part of our wedding planning. Andrea was super responsive and ALWAYS got back to us and our guests if we ever had any questions. Destination Weddings - Maggie Elles (Travel Agent)
Our travel agent, Maggie Elles, was absolutely amazing!! She was always on top of things. She served as a great liaison between us and the resort coordinators when needed, she kept us informed and answered all questions (emails/texts) in a timely fashion, even hopped on quick phone calls for additional understanding. She handled our guests with care, even when they needed special assistance. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone planning a destination event moving forward, no doubts.
In terms of Destination Weddings, absolutely felt like I got more bang for my buck. I was originally with a different travel company and decided to switch (even lost money to switch) but it was the best decision as we had soooo many more additional perks and saved thousands in the end. When my husband and I decided on a destination wedding, I was overwhelmed at the thought of finding the best resort for us. My cousin referred us to Destination Weddings, and they made the process so easy! Jocelyn Batlas was a dream to work with! After we filled out our online profile, she immediately contacted us and got to work. We had a short timeframe to plan, as we picked a date just a few months out (engaged in April, wedding in December). She helped us quickly narrow down resorts, and then stayed in constant communication with our guests to get everyone booked. We had one guest who was very picky, and Jocelyn handled them with grace and professionalism. And when my elderly uncle missed his flight to the wedding, Jocelyn helped him and his wife get quickly rebooked and notified the resort. She also helped immensely in our communication with the resort as we worked with our planner. Jocelyn was just a phone call or text away throughout the process and was always very responsive to my questions. I've had such ana amazing and smooth experience booking with Janice Gwilliam. She has been so thorough, friendly, informative, accommodating, and on the ball! Weddings can be so overwhelming but Janice mad everything so effortless and simple! She responded to every email within minutes and answered every single question I asked and gave very informing answers but also went above and beyond offering upgrades for more comfort!

My fiance and I were able to work with Susan from Destination Weddings. We had a last minute change of plans in wedding planning so we did not end up booking and ended up more local, however, Susan was great the whole time we talked to her! We first set up a call in August. She instantly got to know us and gave us great recommendations of resorts we would want. She helped us find resorts that fit all of our needs from family friendly to budget friendly and everything we wanted. Even though we didn't end up booking, the whole planning process was very easy with Susan. She was great at answering texts, phone calls, and emails making it very easy to communicate with her with all my questions and concerns. I was super heartbroken to have to let her know that we were unable to move forward with our destination planning a month later, but she was very understanding, which is why I felt it necessary to leave my review for her! If I were to continue planning a destination wedding if all other factors allowed, I would 100% use Susan!DestinationWeddings's reply:

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Susan Robson from Destination Weddings, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about her. From the very beginning, Susan went above and beyond to make the entire process smooth, organized, and stress-free.
Her patience, professionalism, and incredible attention to detail truly stood out. She kept us updated every step of the way—sending emails, setting up calls, and making sure we fully understood all of our options. One of the things we appreciated most was how she carefully went through every part of our contract with us before we signed, answering all of our questions thoroughly. That level of care gave us so much confidence and peace of mind during such a special time in our lives.

She answered her phone call or email in a timely manner even if she was out of the country for work she handled everything and anything for our wedding. she made the process so much easier. she contacted the hotel overseas to get me an immediate response. My now husband and I decided about 2 years ago, after a trip to Riveria Maya, that we wanted to have a destination wedding in that area. When we started doing our own research we found it extremely daunting with all of the options for weddings in Mexico. We had a vision of our dream, but without being able to see each venue in person it was definitely challenge.
I searched for assistance on google and came across Destination Weddings. Little did I know making the decision to use them would, up until the day of the wedding, make our experience non-stressful and to be honest really enjoyable.
Soon after filling out our information on the site we were paired with Sandy Patrzykont. She reached out quickly and was able to take our vision and provide a few venues that were in our price range and that met the tropical aesthetic we were longing for. Due to previous commitments we were unable to visit the location ourselves, but Sandy assisted with setting up a trip and visit for my mom and dad. From the airport pick up to their beautiful room and the coordination to have an onsight tour from the wedding department. Sandy treated our family as if it were us, the bride and groom, on this first trip. Luckily this trip was the final and we selected the resort Sandy had recommended.
In the months to come Sandy assisted all of our guests with their questions about booking their rooms to the on going questions about transportation from Cancun to Tulum, which is quiet a distance. Sandy kept in contact every step of the way and was quick to respond to ever email we sent even in the days leading up to the wedding. There is one specific instance where she blew any expectations out of the water. A guest coming to our wedding had some passport trouble and Sandy worked tirelessly to ensure that when the problem was solved she was able to get from the airport to the resort. and that her check in to the resort would be seamless. This all occurred the day before the wedding and this guest was arriving very late in the evening.
My husband and I are so thankful for Sandy and for the support that the Destination Wedding service provides. I would highly recommend Destination Weddings to anyone who is planning a destination wedding. We had an incredible experience with Destination weddings! Our coordinator was Jeremy Smith and he did a phenomenal job, we seriously cannot recommend him enough. His communication with the resort made our lives stress free. Wedding planning comes with so many decisions and so much stress and the biggest choices we had to make were the resort we wanted to go to and then the different decisions we had to make once we picked our resort (choices being location of our ceremony, decor we wanted at the reception, etc). Jeremy helped find us great resort options based on the location we wanted and we were able to pick from there. He then did 100% of communication with the resort to help everything flow smooth. He kept track of our guest bookings so we didn’t have to. We truly would not have been able to complete all of this with such joy and ease without him. His response times were unmatched. Whether it was a weekend evening or middle of the day during the week, he would get back to me within an hour, MAXIMUM. It was very obvious how much he enjoys his job and working with couples and families/friends. All of our guests were also impressed with his helpfulness and response times! I had my wedding at Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa on 2/20/25 and would highly recommend not only this venue but also using DestinationWeddings.com to help you plan! My coordinator was Melinda Shelley and she has been working with me for a year and a half to get everything in order. The services through DW are free and Melinda was so attentive to me and my guests throughout the entire process. She helped me pick this resort, set up a room block, and communicate everything with the resort wedding department. One of the most difficult decisions for me was choosing a resort. Melinda gave me all of the information I needed and also had great personal insight into many of the resorts since they frequently travel and view these locations themselves.
Everything was very seamless and she also helped us with guests' changes in rooming plans or flight delays impacting transportation. All of our guests also had great things to say about working with Melinda to book their accommodations. I would highly recommend Melinda and DW to anyone in need of assistance. They even reimbursed me special perks in the end as well! Melinda was 10/10 the most courteous, attentive, and kind coordinator we could have asked for. I am so happy she was matched with us because she helped me make all of my wedding dreams a reality!

Here was my situation:
I planned a vow renewal trip two years ago (2023) for our 25th year anniversary. The trip money was due February 15 2025 which was the day to cancel for a full refund. I canceled January 10 2025 due to me having cancer and having to go through chemo treatments at the time that our trip would have been occurring. The trip was paid in full by me way ahead of time in the amount of $3,461.70. My travel agent Tori advised me that refunds would be 45 to 60 days out from the date of cancellation. We were well past those 60 days and no refund was received despite me reaching out to Tori and requesting an update. She advised me several times that she would check the status but had never gotten back with me. Then she stopped responding. With my illness, I cannot be stressed and I was beyond stressed!
Enter Teresa MacDonald on Monday 03/17/2025 : She informed me that Tori was no longer with the company and that she would contact accounting and her team to find out the status of the refunds. Teresa was very patient and accommodating throughout all of my constant emails. Never did I detect any attitude or non-compassion toward the situation. She remained professional and courteous throughout the whole process. I could not have asked for a better representative of the company to look into my issue. She followed up and answered all of my emails each time. Teresa followed up and had the refund status by Thursday 03/20/2025. The stress I was feeling disappeared and restored my faith in this company. Will I book again when I am hopefully in remission? Yes I will. My experience with Tori was great up until I had to cancel the trip due to my illness. Teresa is such an asset to your company from what I experienced. My husband, Alex, and I got married in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico in May of 2023. We were still both working on our undergraduate degrees at the time, and we needed help planning a wedding that would be efficient and affordable. We stumbled upon DestinationWeddings.com and found Maggie Elles. Maggie was a true SAINT. She made the entire wedding planning process so easy (all of my friends/family complain about the stress of wedding planning--but our biggest stressor was simply trying to get our guests to follow a color scheme LOL). I truly could ramble on and on about how amazing Maggie was but all I will say is this--if you need someone who truly cares about making sure your wedding day is the perfect day you always imagined, Maggie is absolutely that person! Very large resort but lots of facilities (restaurants, pools) the one thing that really stands out is the quality and attentiveness of staff, they can't do enough for you. Please take lots of $1-5 bills because they all deserve a tip. Rooms were very nice.DestinationWeddings's reply:

Great service and communication
My wedding was 9/1/24 in Cancun's Moon Palace. Our coordinator was Stephanie Parks and she was beyond amazing! Fast and courteous with responding to call texts and emails for me and my party! The communication with her was flawless. She kept me updated with all communication with the resort. She even sent me pics of the resort when she went for a conference at Moon Palace.
