Highly recommended!

Sandy is an absolute delight to work with! My wife and I had tried at least three other places before trying DessertWorks, and we immediately knew we wanted to go with DessertWorks. Sandy was really helpful, allowing us to try any flavor we could even remotely want to try, and was very open about options and customizability. Additionally, she has an incredible price range for how good the baked goods are. She is much more reasonable than many other bakeries, but her desserts are every bit as good if not better than the more expensive options. She gives a free 1-year anniversary top cake as well, which means we can have a nice fresh cake for our anniversary instead of a stale, frozen option. All in all, we couldn't be more pleased with Sandy and DessertWorks, and highly recommend choosing this business for any event needs.

Best wedding cake ever!

Sandy with DessertWorks is top notch! From our initial meeting/tasting she offers SO MANY different options and you can truely choose whatever you want! Everything we tried was so good! We went with the chocolate chip cake with chocolate buttercream- to dir for! So many compliments on the design and they all said it was the best cake they've ever had! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!!

Amazing cake

Our cake was beautiful. It was designed as expected. Our cake testing was an easy process. The cake on our wedding day tasted so much better then at the tasting. It was delicious and our guests loved it. We didn't have any cake left over because our guests had more then one piece. I would definitely recommend Dessert Works Cakery.

Sandy at Dessertworks is such an awesome lady. Every time I came in to make a payment she would double check with me exactly how I wanted my cake. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and incredibly delicious. I would highly recommend Dessertworks Cakery!!!

I can't even handle how gorgeous and perfect our cake was. Everyone raved how delicious and pretty it was. I came to them with a few photos and they nailed it! Thanks for making my dream day so perfect! I highly recommend!!

Delicious cake!! Sandy was great to work with and was willing to do whatever to make our vision come to life. Our wedding cake was stunning and was exactly what we wanted, and it tasted phenomenal! We had planned to save our top layer, but we already ate half of it.. we just couldn't resist!

If you haven't tasted cake from DessertWorks Cakery yet, you are missing out. They are the best. So many choices for cake and icing. And Sandy is so talented in decorating. If you can dream it, she can do it. Cake tasting is one of the best parts of planning, but once you taste DessertWorks you'll have your winner. We had so many people tell us how delicious our cake was at our wedding. One tip: make sure you take time out of your reception for just a few bites of cake. It is oh so good!

Sandy worked magic when it came time to transfer what we really wanted our wedding cake to look like into reality. She was very easy to work with, was always happy to see us, was on time for our big day, and her tasting was amazing! We really appreciate that she makes her own cake and frosting, because my husband has a sulfite intolerance and he can eat her lovely cake without being sick (no other cake ever has let him do that!).

Awesome cake, very detailed and technical to design. The cake tasted wonderful with all the different flavors. I would highly recommend Sandy, great place to order that special cake.

We chose DessertWorks for our wedding because their cake was included in our reception price; however, I don't think we could have had a better cake! When I first saw our cake in the reception hall, it literally took my breath away. I told my husband that it was the most beautiful cake I had ever seen. Sandy and her team truly exceeded all of our expectations with how gorgeous the cake was! All of our guests were also raving about how delicious it was. In fact, over a month later, we are still having people tell us how beautiful and delicious the cake was! Thank you so much to Sandy and her team! We could not have been happier with our wedding cake!

Out of all the vendors from bridal shows, DessertWorks was the first name I remembered. The taste of the cake is unmatched! Sandy is the best and surpassed my expectations- which speaks volumes as the cake we chose was very challenging. She is amazing and her passion for what she does shows!

Sandy at DessertWorks was awesome! When we went to taste cakes she had a much larger selection, especially of fillings, available to us, and they all tasted amazing! My husband and I have never been a huge fan of wedding cakes until we tried hers! She did a beautiful job with our cake and it turned out exactly how we wanted it. She was very flexible, and even allowed us to change the size of the cake a week before the wedding and refunded us the full difference between the original larger size cake and the one we ended up needing. You will absolutely love your experience with her!

Besides being absolutely beautiful this was the best tasting cake I've ever had bar none!!!! I will recommend them to everyone!! The left overs were good for 2 weeks and now we miss them sooooo. lol

I loved Sandy's enthusiasm and willingness to work with my OCD husband (the hubs photoshopped his design on to a template, then made a dummy cake and printed his own edible images.) She took his design, added some tweaks and embellishments, and delivered a stunning - and AMAZINGLY tasty - cake! The marbled red velvet is to die-for!! We would absolutely use Dessertworks again!

DessertWorks was absolutely amazing for us and our wedding! We were so pleased with the look of our cake and received so many compliments on it! We've been to several weddings where the cake does not taste like it did during the tasting, but she hit it out of the park with ours! If you want the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake made by one of the nicest bakers in Cincinnati, you have to go with DessertWorks Cakery! Prior to the wedding, we tasted several cakes and all of them were just so-so. Then we found Sandy and DessertWorks Cakery and I could not have been more thrilled. Sandy was fun and very easy to work with and truly, the cake was AMAZING (I am still getting compliments about how delicious it was!). If you are searching for a great baker... look no further! Sandy and the crew at DessertWorks is WONDERFUL. Her cake was absoultey amazing. My cake went so fast at my wedding I barley had any. I am even going back to Sandy to make more cakes since I only got 1 piece. I met with Sandy only once but she was always available via email and phone to me.

The cake was by far the best we've ever tasted, from the cake itself to the frosting--delicious. We had 3 different cake flavors; all were superb. And the cake decoration turned out exactly as we had hoped.

Sandy made my dream cake. It was so perfect in every way that I want to tear up just thinking about it. It was an incredible four tier round cake for 170 with a chocolate base, a chocolate chip tier, a confetti tier for the kids, and another chocolate tier. The icing was off white fondant and there were white fondant and crystalized sugar flowers. It was truly a piece of art. I have been to five weddings in the last year and none of them have been this beautiful or delicious! She was so good at listening to what I really wanted and seriously made my wedding magical. My mouth is literally watering thinking about that cake.

Sandy was SO sweet! I had so much fun at the cake tasting, even though I had to go by myself when my mom got caught in a snow storm that day. She made me feel so good about my ideas for design and combined my ideas PERFECTLY to fit our theme. Several of our guests said it was the best wedding cake they'd ever eaten! I'm not even a cake person, and I had a piece for breakfast the next morning! The icing was delicious! We can't wait to unwrap that lemon tier top on our first anniversary!!!

Sandy is the best when it comes to baking cakes. The cake turned out better than I planned. We didn't have any left over. The way it was decorated was stunning. We received so many compliments that night.

Dessertworks did an absolutely amazing job with our wedding cake. We came in with a picture we had seen on pinterest and she was more than willing to try it out. They have the largest assortment of flavors I have seen as well. With all the vendors in our wedding, it was nice to have a vendor that we didn't have to worry about. She showed up on time and everything looked just the way we had planned.

Sandy was wonderful to work with, giving us ideas and listening to what we wanted. Most importantly, our Wedding Cake was FANTASTIC! It tasted so good, so moist, so beautifully decorated! DessertWorks Cakery I will forever recommend to any bride-to-be or person celebrating a special occasion in need of cake. Sandy's shop was referred to me thru my wedding. Never did I imagine I would develop such a great relationship w/ my cake baker. She is very kind, down-to-earth person, & comes ready to create your vision. Her work is incredible! Visit her website & you will agree. My wedding cake was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing about it. It was the best tasting cake I have ever had. My guests raved about it. For my husband's 30th birthday I most definitely went right back for Sandy's help, & she designed the best Harley Motorcycle cake for a husband's 30th birthday that there could ever be. I've never seen my husband that excited over dessert. One last thing I must mention about DessertWorks Cakery, is that they know what they're doing. Sandy won't let a person get out of hand w/ their cake creation. She will draw you up a sketch to show you & will make sure it stays classy, & not on the verge of tacky. She's outstanding at what she does. She will not disappoint!

This cake was amazing!!! She was very helpful at creating the cake we invisioned. Not to mention it was DELICIOUS!!!!!!! We had chocolate, and vanilla carmel swirl. They were both incredible!! We didn't get a chance to eat much of it at the wedding, but we took some for the next day. We were sad there wasn't more left over to eat. She did a wonderful job!

Sandy is such a joy to work with!! DessertWorks made a Groom's Cake for our Rehearsal that was awesome! My husband is a HUGE Florida Gators fan, and she really nailed it with the cake that looked like their logo - not only was it awesome to look at, it was delicious!!
Our Wedding Cake - Amazing also!! People went on and on about how good it was, and so many guests asked who made it. We will definitely be using Sandy and DessertWorks again for any future cake needs!

Sandy made us the MOST BEAUTIFUL & UNIQUE cake for our wedding. We brought her a picture of a half traditional white wedding cake fused together with a chocolate cake. Essentially a twist ice cream cone but in the cake form. Sandy was up for the challenge and certainly did not disappoint. Not only was the cake delicious, but it looked 100% better than the picture we brought her for inspiration. All 3 flavors of cake were equally delectable. I think I speak for many when I say that this was the BEST wedding cake ever. Thanks again to Dessertworks Cakery for making our dream cake!!

Sandy is friendly, professional and definitely knows how to make a good cake! My wedding was December of 2011 and we decided on a spread of cupcakes and one small cake. We were able to offer our guests about 5 different flavors and every one of them was good (she has a ton of flavors to choose from and they're all delicious, she will let you try everything she has already baked that day.)
Everyone LOVED how tasty and beautiful our cake was!! She'll work with you to make sure it's perfect. I wanted something very specific so I brought the cake decorations to her and she was able to make it look exactly how I wanted.
My husband and I just celebrated our 1st anniversary so we got the cake top out of the freezer to try. We weren't sure how it would be after being in the freezer for so long but when we tried it we were blown away! It is JUST as good as it was on our wedding day! Moist and full of flavor!!! We couldn't be more pleased. And even though we live in KY and it's a bit of a drive to Dessertworks, the quality of Sandy's work makes it worthwhile to go to her for any future cake needs. (A gender reveal cake for our future baby, for example.) She's wonderful and we highly recommend Dessertworks!

Not only did DessertWorks do a fantastic job creating a unique and beautiful cake for our wedding, but it tasted fantastic - and my husband and I are not big cake people! Many guests told us it was they best wedding cake they had ever had...from the taste, great service and flexibility of designs, DessertWorks was fantastic to work with.

Sandy was so wonderful to work with!! She incorporated my design ideas and colors in a cake that truly exceeded all expectations. And it was delicious!!! I tasted and met with several bakeries before selecting Dessertworks and hands down, it was the best cake of all I tried... guests are STILL talking about the cake from our wedding. My cake looked dead on to what i wanted. It tasted fantastic and everybody loved it. I even got a deal on the anniversary cake when I went and got that a year later. Sandy is amazing to work with.

I actually knew that DessertWorks would be making my wedding cake before I was engaged. A great friend of mine had DessertWorks make the cake for her wedding several years ago and I stand by what I said then - its the best wedding cake I have ever had. It was not only beautiful, but tasted absolutely amazing. In order, the important things to me at my wedding were 1) my husband, 2) the cake. So, finding the right baker was essential to me. In order to make sure we were still making the right decision, we went to a couple other bakeries before committing to DessertWorks. One was okay, but the other was an awful experience. They sat us down with a plate, walked away, came back 30 minutes later and asked what flavors we decided. We had never been to a cake tasting so we didn't know where to start. Sandy, on the other hand, sat with us the entire time and walked us through the tasting. "Okay, so you liked this filling but thought it was a little too sweet - try this one instead but pump it up with the white chocolate frosting". In the end, the hardest part was narrowing it down to 3 combinations. I have gotten so many complements on that cake I cannot keep track anymore - my cousin is actually getting married in Alabama soon and called to ask if she could get that cake down there, that's how much she loved it. I loved the cake at our wedding, and, no joke, every cake I buy comes from DessertWorks. I cannot wait for our 1 year so I can have more cake!!!

Sandy did SUCH a wonderful job on my cake! I came in with not very many ideas on what I wanted, and she was able to help me narrow in and figure out what look good. I came with a picture I had found that had a fairly intricate icing design going up the layers of the cake and she was so excited to take on the challenge, and it ended up looking fabulous!

The cake was delicious!! At times she was difficult to get a hold of but she stayed in contact with the caterer/reception hall and assured everything was done and perfect on time.

Loved Sandy with Dessertworks!!! Our cake was amazing, delicious and beautiful:) I love that she doesn't charge for a different flavor on each layer, she was by far the most reasonably priced (and delicious!) baker we saw. Everyone loved the cake, and the design went perfect with our wedding theme. She has so many options for cake and filling flavors, it was almost too hard to choose:)

The cake tasted great! Everything was ready on time and the cake looked exactly as we had discussed. Although, a little pricey. I would still go with Dessert Works again!

This place was great. Our best man was allergic to peanuts and they did everything possible to make sure no peanuts came in contact with our cake!

WOW - the cake was sooooo good! Sandy did a great job of meeting our needs and serving a large wedding (400!) - the first piece tasted just as good as the last! The prices were extremly reasonable and she took care of everything! It was such a weight lifted that I did not have to give a second thought about the cake - I knew she would get it set up and looking great on the day of the wedding without any problems!

Dessert Works was wonderful. They took all the time we needed to help us decide on the flavor and style of the cake. I had a idea in my head of the perfect wedding cake and dessert works made my dream come true. They set up the cake at the reception hall exactly as I wanted it and it looked great. I will remember my cake forever because of them.

I loved my cake from DessertWorks. The cake was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. The cake also tasted AWESOME. The thing that I did not like about this company was the professionalism and the responsiveness. This company would take FOREVER to cash a check that we would pay with. She would also be extremely slow in responding to us when we called. The worse thing that we encountered was on the actual wedding day. She showed up to my wedding with my cake a couple hours after she was scheduled to show. When we were calling to see where she was she NEVER answered the phone. She walked into my venue with an attitude. She explained that she did receive our messages but she just did not respond. This was very unprofessional and rude! Even though the cake turned out awesome I am not sure if I would want to deal with a vendor like this again.

I had a totally bad experience. My cake arrived 2 hrs late without calling.. my MOH and husband was blowing her phone up,her excuse because she had a last minute birthday cake (That was more important than my $1000 wedding cake) When we said our vows they had no idea if it was here or not, She was actually finishing setting it up as my guest was walking in.. I ordered 3 cake flavors and only got two one of which was super dry. AND finally I was told and in my contract I would receive a FREE anniversary cake well i didnt! We just celebrated it. Cakeless! Sandy said not to worry about saving the cake she gives a free one. Well 2 weeks before the anniv. i called and left a message...no response.. one week i called again, and again had to leave a message and you guessed it once again no response. I live over an hr away so i wasn't about to go there with gas prices what they are just to drive back to pick it up. I called a total of 11 times over the 2 weeks and left 5 messages ( my husband left one) and she never called me back. I called all different times of the day and business days and weekends. So as far as im concerned dont waste your money here its a joke.. Oh i called as a "bride" planning a wedding, and she called me the following day, to schedule an appt. :(
