I’m glad I found Lisa here at weddingwire! She was so easy to work with even though our only communication was through email! I changed my mind several times when it came to the designs but when our actual wedding day came she went above and beyond! There were more flowers than I thought there would be and I loved how our halo altar and my bouquet turned out! Thank you Lisa I highly recommend your services!

Loved loved LOVED the wedding bouquet Lisa created for me. Originally our wedding was set for May 2020 and I was having a gorgeous bouquet of just sunflowers and baby's breath. Due to some wonderful circumstances we had to change our wedding to January 2020. Not only was Lisa able to accommodate our new date, she was able to create a bouquet for me I feel in love with. I didn't look for a new one as I was a bit sad I couldn't have sunflowers anymore. We only discussed some colors for it. The pictures I took are of the day AFTER the wedding and even then it looks gorgeous. It was so bright and beautiful..couldn't have asked for one better

Incredible florals and great to work with!!

Lisa, the owner of Designworks Florals created the florals for my wedding this past August 2018 and I would highly recommend!! I came in open to her ideas and she blew me away! She is very knowledgeable about different flowers and their benefits / drawbacks / and prices. With the information that I provided her on my color scheme / high level vision, environment (my wedding was on the beach with the ocean breeze), and my budget, she was able to come up with beautiful bouquets, accent pieces, and decorations throughout the night. In addition, she was able to reuse the flowers from my ceremony at the reception. I cannot say enough good things about Lisa and her work!!!

Find Your Vision with Designworks Florals

We were referred to Designworks Florals by both our venue and our caterers, and boy were we glad we decided to listen to those referrals! Lisa, the owner of Designworks Florals, was quick to respond and set up an in-person discussion so that she could help bring our vision to life. We met Lisa at her home studio, and got straight to work figuring out what pieces we would need and what they should look like. As a bride and groom who walked into this meeting with a barely formed idea of what flowers we might want at our wedding, we walked away with a vision for the entire wedding in our heads and a contract signed with Designworks Florals.

Up until the point of meeting with Lisa, we had only booked the venue, the food and I had purchased my dress and picked the colors of my bridesmaid dress - nothing had been chosen with a particular theme in the mind, and there was a very real chance that our wedding would have been an assortment of mismatched pieces that just didn’t fit together.. Her knowledge of our venue, attention to the details of my dress and the colors of my bridesmaids dresses along with my suggestion of succulents all came together like I had been working on a vision board for the wedding for the last year. She knew exactly what would work, and this was over 9 months before our wedding.

Leading up to the wedding, Lisa checked in regularly and worked with me to amend our wedding vision and materials required as necessary. Every email had a cheerful tone and was ended with a smiley face. As most brides know, planning a wedding can be stressful, and any amount of positivity and support can go a long way. Email exchanges with Lisa always made my day.

The day of our wedding, we were absolutely blown away by all of the florals and little details provided by Designworks Florals. Lisa went above and beyond the things that were detailed in our quote. There were so many extras that I was not expecting that just made every corner, every nook and cranny of our ceremony and reception sites feel like were a part of the larger vision of our wedding. From the largest arrangements to the smallest of boutonnieres everything was perfect. I would not have changed a single thing. I’m so thankful to have connected with Lisa and Designworks florals, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a stellar florist for their wedding or event.

Lisa was great! We came to her with literally no idea what kind of flowers we wanted. She discussed different options with us and worked to stay within our budget. She was even flexible in adding another bridesmaid bouquet at the last minute. The flowers were absolutely beautiful on the day of the wedding! Thank you Lisa!

Lisa is a sweetheart and has a great aesthetic. She helped us create the romantic,rustic, backyard, mountainy look we were going for. Since she works out of her home, the cost as very reasonable. Definitely recommend her

Lisa did the flowers for our wedding ceremony, reception, and cake decorations. We couldn't have been happier. She captured exactly what we wanted and made our reception so much brighter and colorful with the flowers and table decorations. She was easy to work with and really helped us out while planning the wedding since we live outside of California. She also helped a lot with making sure we stayed in budget. We definitely recommend Lisa!

Lisa recently did the florals for our daughter's wedding. We are wedding professionals ourselves, and sometimes that can mean our expectations are a bit high. Everything Lisa did was perfect. She took our ideas, our sample pictures and even added some specialty touches that were amazing. It was absolutely magical! It was probably the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen. The florals were stunning. It was gorgeous to every last detail. The ribbons framing the settee vignette made a lovely backdrop to the evening's photos. I can't wait to see pictures. Oh, and the cake and pie on the dresser surrounded by all the lush greenery and flowers looked like it was out of a magazine.

While we have referred Lisa to many of our brides, we had not used her services personally prior to this occasion. I could not recommend anyone more highly. Lisa is a pure joy to work with. Reach out to her!

Lisa was super helpful staying within my budget and providing amazing flowers. She arranged everything beautifully around my venue and definitely took into account my vision for everything. She was always super responsive and easy to get a hold of.

Lisa was great to work with. She initially found us on wedding.com but we checked her reviews here on weddingwire as well. At first we were a little nervous because her shop was at a residence, but her knowledge, professionalism, and sincerity put us at ease.

We adjusted what we wanted a few times throughout the process (we were engaged over a year so it was bound to happen!), and Lisa was accommodating to every single one. She even saved the day at the last minute...I was in a rush and didn't realize I had only provided her with the venue address for delivery, forgetting that I would need the bridal party flowers at our hotel beforehand for pictures. She was able to bring extra help for someone to run the bridal party flowers over to us while she completed the setup at the venue.

Thank you, Lisa, for providing us with such gorgeous flowers and amazing customer service!

We heard about Lisa at Designworks Florals from our amazing wedding venue location, so of course I was interested in meeting with her. My fiance was deployed at the time, and I am not good with following directions in unfamiliar locations, so I was late for our meeting. I was impressed that Lisa was very welcoming and did not make me feel rushed through the appointment. She is extremely detailed oriented, and was able to know exactly what I wanted before I even knew! I had brought a lot of photographs to share, which I might add, most were from San Diego Style Weddings magazine. Lisa's work has been featured in their floral section and looks amazing. I knew upon meeting her that she would go above and beyond and do a fantastic job, so I did not even look elsewhere. She is a true artist and was able to put a spin on our vision so that it came to life even more dramatic and elegant than I had imagined. When she dropped off the bouquets for the girls and I, the day of, I was very giddy, and they took my breath away. My mom said the flowers were the most gorgeous and freshest she had ever seen. They looked lively even days after the wedding. My groom and I were also surprised and impressed with how sentimental our ceremony and reception area felt because of Lisa's touch. We were thrilled with her services, and wouldnt have had it any other way!

Lisa is am absolute pleasure to work with. From the first moment I met with her I was confident she understood my vision. She was great at making reccomendations that worked with my budget but didn't take away from what I was going for. We connected with Lisa through our reception venue. The minute I spoke with her on the phone I knew I was going to like working with her. Upon our first meeting, my husband and I shared some general ideas, showed her some pics, and of course talked budget. Lisa was great at keeping us within budget while incorporating the key things we wanted. She is professional, personable, would always respond to our emails/calls, and does beautiful work. It's almost as if she got inside our brains and knew exactly what we were envisioning for our wedding and made it happen! My bouquet, centerpieces, and decor were all so beautiful. Thank you Lisa!

Lisa was amazing! She was friendly, patient, helpful, and so very very creative, and so affordable. I didn't have a large budget and I thought I wouldn't be able to really do anything, and not only was I under budget, but she created a floral wonderland so to speak, some of the most breathtaking, bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, centerpieces, the sweetheart table centerpiece was to die for (figuratively speaking of course!) It was a wonderful day, and her creative touch added that special something for everyone to enjoy. I still get compliments from my friends! I absolutely recommend Lisa for any bride or groom!

If I could, I would give DesignWorks Floral higher markings across the board! Lisa and her team were wonderful. All of my guests were blown away.
I first chose DesignWorks because of her quick response time, she was professional and guided me through the creative process down to the last detail. She brought my vision to life, and always had ideas to bump it up to the next level, while staying within my original budget.

I was an out-of-town bride so I never met with Lisa before the wedding. I found her online and just corresponded with her via email. This made me a little nervous, but she was always quick to respond to my emails and I sent her lots of pictures of what I wanted. She did a PERFECT job... my bouquet was just what I had envisioned and she did gorgeous smaller bouquets for the bridal party and stunning centerpieces of the reception that had orchids suspended in water and twinkling lights! It was so beautiful. She was completely professional, showed up on the wedding day on time, set up in a timely fashion and came back the next day to pick up items. I would absolutely recommend her! Oh, and she brought flowers for me to wear in my hair! So great! Thanks Lisa!

Lisa has incredible vision, style and design. She showed me ideas I had never seen before and made them uniquely mine. She was able to capture our perasonality and make it even more fabulous without it ever feeling fake or forced. She was a great resourse for us as well, always there with a calming "of course I can help with that", I can't image our wedding without her help. I truely feel blessed that I found her, and can't wait to have her assistance with my husband's suprise party.

There are a ton of florists out there at various price points, but I can assure you no one else is as creative as Lisa @ DesignWorks Florals. She worked within my budget and my random flower "must-haves" and created my perfect bouquets and centerpieces.
My wedding had 17 tables (I think?) and I think Lisa made every table unique yet cohesive, as she did with the bridal party's bouquets and boutonnieres.
If you are looking for the most original flower arrangements for your wedding (or whatever occasion) Lisa and DesignWorks Florals are the ONLY option.
She can do everything from "simple/traditional" (but unique), or she can create a 1-of-a-kind avant-garde masterpiece, far superior to anything else I've seen.

Lisa is so warm and a pleasure to work with. My wedding bouquet was the most beautiful thing. When I look back on pictures of my wedding, the flowers were one of the standout things that made the day so beautiful. I couldn't stop staring at my bouquet! Had a great experience with Lisa. She was super easy to work with, and made a truly beautiful bouquet for my wedding. Would definitely recommend! And she's very open about her pricing so it was easy to stay on budget.

Lisa did a beautiful job picking flowers that upheld my vision for the wedding. She was timely and very professional. From the beginning, she was very flexible and easy to work with. I just gave 1 star off of quality of service because my flower girls had NO rose petals to throw. I did not know that this had to be communicated in the contract. I could have been wrong for having assumed flower petals were standard with the floral package. Otherwise, I would highly recommend her again and emphasize that flower girl flower petals must be written on the contract.

Lisa was a pleasure to work with and did an amazing job on my flowers. She was great at getting back to me on emails and phone calls and was very easy to get a hold of. Originally we had asked Lisa just to prep the flowers and not deliver and we would set up ourselves, but as the wedding grew closer we asked her to send us a quote for delivery and labor. We decided with the wedding getting near it would be better to have her at the venue to set up, but a month out we found out she was not able to set up for us. There was miscommunication between us and she had already planned two other weddings that same day. We were a little upset at first since we were planning to have her professional eye there, but she did an awesome job at setting the flowers up for us before we picked them up so we were able to place them where they needed to be and still looked wonderful!

Lisa did beautiful flowers for our ceremony and reception. The only reason that I did not give her a higher rating was because of how difficult it was to nail down details leading up to the wedding. There was never any formal contract given to us, just an email with a list of flowers that she was going to provide. While the prices were reasonable, they changed and it was difficult with no contract to keep track. Overall the flowers for the event were what we had hoped for it was just very frustrating working with her.

This florist was a recommended vendor by the venue. She is a very nice and sweet person however the bulk of my frustration came with working with this vendor. I was frustrated because I had gone over my request of types of flowers and when we would communicate there was always confusion about what I wanted. I specifically mentioned that roses are not my favorite flower and my bouquet was almost all roses. My bouquet was supposed to have bling wrapped around it and that did not happen either. I had requested corsages for the women in our family and again when confirming she did not have that recorded. For a true planner I do not suggest this vendor. For someone that is very laid back and doesn't need to confirm things I would suggest her because she is very sweet. Even the groom was not happy with her service and to get that feedback from the groom means a lot.
