I hired Rachel and Paisley from Designory in Clemson, SC to do hair and make-up for my daughter's wedding in Simpsonville, SC. Rachel was easy to work with and answered all our questions quickly. The pre-session for the bride was a delight. She listend intently to everything my daughter had envisioned and delivered. Her make-up was flawless and so natural. The bridal party was stunning and made to feel special on the big day. I cannot speak highly enough about Designory! We would recommend them to any bridal party seeking a special look and experience all rolled into one! -

Great hair and makeup!
Rachel was absolutely great to work with! I had several ideas for hair and she was able to take all of my ideas and make the perfect hairstyle for me. Also she did a wonderful job with my makeup. I was outside in 80 degree weather for my bridal portrait and the makeup stayed on through all of my sweating! And it lasted all day on the day of the wedding. She is very flexible about scheduling and responds really quickly to emails. I would definitely recommend her! -

Rachel from Designory Hair and Makeup was an absolutely joy to work with from start to finish. I never felt bad about asking lots of questions, and you can tell that she feels passionate about what she does. As soon as I had my trial, I knew that I was in good hands. The day itself went great, and there was no stress when it came to finishing on time based off the schedule she set up. My bridesmaids and I looked and felt fantastic from the start of the day until the end. I wouldn't hesitate to refer Rachel to anyone needing hair and makeup on their wedding day. -

From the time we first spoke through the actual wedding day, Rachel was extremely responsive and provided as much feedback as I requested. Not being a super girly girl myself, Rachel allowed me to be indecisive and helped me feel comfortable with my final decisions. We did one run-through prior to my bridal portraits and she allowed me to make any changes to ensure I was totally satisfied! She was extremely organized day of the wedding, which is easier said than done considering there were a total of 15 ladies!!! I would completely recommend Designory Hair & Makeup with no reservation.

Katie Sent on 12/18/2017Rachel was wonderful to work with! Planning a wedding can be stressful so it was really nice to have my hair and makeup taken care of by such a professional person! I can't always express how I want my hair done, but after meeting with Rachel for a trail run she was able to make my hair look exactly the way I wanted it to! I even had a small crisis 2 nights before the wedding,and rachel was able to help me find another make up artist to help out on my wedding day! If you want someone who can put your hair/makeup needs at ease I suggest you give rachel a call, you won't regret it!

Not only was she incredibly accommodating with a hectic schedule (to make a long story short, my bridal portraits were only 2 weeks before my wedding, due to dress alterations AND they were taken the day of a a massive flood) but she was so helpful in making my vision a reality-even when I wasn’t exactly sure how to explain what I wanted. I could not have asked for a better hair or makeup stylist for my big day.

I hired Designory Hair and Makeup to do mine and my mother’s wedding makeup. I payed for a package that included airbrush makeup for the trial and for the actual day. The week before our trial, she told me that she would not be able to do the agreed upon date because she always reserves Saturdays for weddings - even though she had suggested the day. After reviewing our messages, she apologized and moved it back. We ended up doing it at the normal date but with unnecessary stress in communication. At the trial, I stressed the importance of wanting a natural look and not anything remotely prom-esque. The makeup was over the top, and we agreed for the wedding day to tone it down. On the actual wedding day, I told her that we would need to be ready for pictures by 1 pm. She stated that based on my time we should start at 10 am. She arrived to my home without her airbrush set because she forgot to review the package we purchased. So I was forced to downgrade to regular makeup. Additionally, she came prepared only to do my mother’s makeup and not hair. So when her assistant finished my mother’s makeup, she proceeded to pack up. When we pushed her to stay and finish hair, she said that they were in a hurry and needed to leave by 11 to do another job. They did stay and finish makeup and hair. I continuously told her that my false eyelash was uncomfortable and falling off. She glued it once more, not attached to my eyelash, and then packed up and left. Luckily, my bridesmaids’ makeup artist was much more professional, and she helped glue another eyelash on. A lot of unnecessary stress on an important day. Additionally, due to the fact that she, in error, did not bring her airbrush kit, she had to adjust the price. When she did, it did not become an available invoice until the day that I was flying to Hawaii. She charged a $25 late fee because we did not pay on the day of - again, due to her error. I would recommend not using this service.
