  Nyika is amazing!

  Nyika is absolutely amazing! She is responsive at all hours and extremely accommodating. My husband and I are from Chicago and got married at the RIU in Montego Bay the hotel was not accommodating or responsive. We were so lucky to find Nyika who planned and designed our entire wedding within our budget. I am so grateful, Nyika blew our expectations out of this world!! She is a true professional and beyond skilled at what she does. You will not regret working with her!

  Look no further... Nyika is amazing!

  Let me start by saying all the reviews you see on Nyika are all true! She is truly one of the best out there and makes you feel special. Not only did she save our wedding, but she took my vision and made it better than I could have ever imagined. After spending months trying to work with planners who came with good recommendations from Facebook groups and Instagram we were struggling to find a good fit due to our 6-month timeline (which I wouldn't recommend having in general) and feeling like we were just a money grab to some planners. Then Nyika was recommended to us. This was the best turning point in our wedding. I was able to tell her our budget and vision and she worked her magic! She was available when we needed her, kept us on time with planning and even was able to help me with my last-minute decisions. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and it glows within her work!

  One Happy Client!

  Working with Nyika was refreshing! Before being referred to Nyika, I consulted with several wedding coordinators. I was frustrated by the difficulty in getting in touch with many of them, the emails replied to after a week and more, and also repeatedly being told that the coordinator may not be in fact be there on the wedding day, but instead another member of their team.
  COMMUNICATION: In contrast, Nyika is VERY easy to get a hold of by phone and on Whatsapp. She makes a point of responding quickly, or telling you when you can expect to hear from her if she is coordinating an event. Her communication is tops. She made herself available for all virtual and in-person meetings (e.g. rehearsal) Her manner is warm, friendly and good-humoured and put me at ease.
  DECOR: Nyika has an excellent eye for decor and I appreciated that she worked with me to blend her vision with all the elements that I wanted. I was very happy with the decor at the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. The venue was a bit of a challenge with some colours that did not really match with my wedding colours. Nyika used her skills and creativity to transform the venue so that it was beautiful in the end.
  STANDARD OF SERVICE: Nyika's presence on my wedding day as well was invaluable. She was there for the entire day with her team, checking in when I was getting ready, there at the ceremony and throughout the reception.
  VALUE: Nyika provided a detailed estimate of costs for coordination and decor after our initial consultation, (which some other coordinators were not prepared to do!). I had piece of mind in terms of costs from the very beginning, which helped a great deal. I was impressed at the value for money she offers, especially as she gave me unlimited access to consult with her. She negotiated with vendors on my behalf to ensure I was not being overcharged.
  ACCOMMODATION: As I was principally working with Nyika from overseas and not based on Jamaica, I appreciated that Nyika arranged to be available when I was visiting Jamaica. She arranged for me to visit another wedding that she was setting up and to view furniture and decor elements in person, at my request.
  
  I consider that Nyika did a GREAT job and went the extra mile to ensure I and my family were entirely happy and able to enjoy my wedding day. I do not hesitate to recommend Nyika to other Brides-to-be!

  Could not fault your professionalism, absolutely brilliant

  When my now husband and I decide that there was no other place but Jamaica to get married we started reading up on reviews for a wedding planers on the island, after hours of research we decided to get in contact with Nyika, and what can I say other than what an amazing person she is firstly I want to thank you so much for all of your help coordinating our big wedding! Everything went amazingly well that day and I cannot express how appreciative we are for everything that you did for us! Everything was just how we wanted it. Even though we live on the other side of the world there was no communication barrier between us and you truly delivered on the big day. Your talent for organising such a magical wedding truly shines! The professionalism from yourself and staff Nyika was an unforgettable experience….   Heaven sent! 10/10

  Nyika was recommended to me by a family member and It was the best recommendation I’ve received! I was already following Nyika on Instagram but just assumed I couldn’t afford her because her work was so nice LOL!
  I reached out to her last minute ( 4 months) before my wedding & you would have thought we’ve been talking for years. She was so sweet & down to earth. She asked if she could take the wedding decor in her hands and I immediately told her yes! I trusted her just from the little time speaking with her lol. I just felt it in my spirit that she would do an amazing job! It can be stressful planning a wedding overseas, but to be honest this far from stressful! I stressed more about my guest list than the actual wedding itself lol. It went so smooth!
  Our wedding day came and the outcome really SURPASSED what we expected! My wedding was almost a month ago and guest are still talking about how nice it turned out. Nyika takes her job very serious and it shows in her work. Her recommendations were even on point ! I thank you Nyika, SO MUCH!   We’ve been here reminiscing about our day and we had to send this message as a proper thank you. Thank you for being the BEST wedding planner/coordinator. I could not imagine how the day would go if you weren’t there. I was truly so calm the whole day cus I knew I had nothing to worry about and that made my day so much better
  
  To this day we’re still getting compliments on how beautiful everything was, all the decor and designs and the personal touches. You executed our vision better than I could imagine so we have to big you up. I appreciate all the things you did for us, even the ones that we don’t know about.   My fairytale wedding

  The team was amazing and made sure all the vendors worked seamlessly for my big day. They made sure I had nothing to worry about even through many revisions and changes; her eyes for detail was 10/10 and she was able to bring my fairytale wedding to life even though my husband had some concerns with my selections she found a way to satisfy both parties. I not only got an excellent wedding but a lifelong connection.

They made sure I had nothing to worry about even through many revisions and changes; her eyes for detail was 10/10 and she was able to bring my fairytale wedding to life even though my husband had some concerns with my selections she found a way to satisfy both parties.   "Wedding Boss" A.K.A. DesignVU's...

  Nyika and her team did an excellent job designing, customizing and executing our wedding event. The presentation was exceptional, the best day(to date) of our lives. We have no hesitation in recommending their services to anyone wanting to have an exceptionally memorable wedding or occasion...!!! I will add also, that Nyika was always(night or day) available to us throughout the entire process...!!!

  The absolute best in Jamaica

  I am trying to find the words that I would like to use to describe my experience with Nyika and her team, but they don’t exist. My experience was truly amazing. I would like to think that I was in contact and communicated with every wedding planner that existed in Jamaica. This was all in an effort to execute my ideal wedding. After my first conversation with Nyika, I got off the phone and told my then fiancé, “she is the one”. She made me feel so comfortable, very responsive, professional,down to earth, understanding and respectful. I truly felt like I had a big sister the entire experience. She wanted the best for us, she wanted to make sure we were happy and comfortable the entire time. Even a year out from our wedding she would still check in on us to see how things were going. On the wedding day I felt the need to want her by my side. I started walking down the aisle and as she was about to let me go, I grabbed her hand and asked for her to continue a little longer. Because I knew she cared a little bit more than the average wedding planner that had a job to do.
  When it comes to the wedding it self. It was extremely breathtaking. It was everything we spoke about and a million times more. Everything was handled with such delicacy and precise details. I honestly would do that day over and over again. This was all because of her beautiful soul and her professionalism. Nyika’s team is extremely talented and she is extremely respected by outside vendors. I honestly think she can pull off anything you bring to her table.
  There is so much more I could say and specific details I could give.The bottom line is, if you are thinking about hiring Nyika and her team,there is absolutely no reason not too. She is the best in Jamaica hands down!

Not only was she extremely professional, but she was always calm, collected and patient no matter what - even when we experienced hiccups during the planning process. We had a long planning process (about a year) and Nyika was there for us every single step of it, day and night. She listened to our vision, always answered our calls and replied to our messages on time despite the time difference, and communicated to the vendors on our behalf. All vendors that she recommended provided excellent service, and all our guests wouldn't stop raving about how beautiful our wedding was - because she had everything under control.   A wedding planner that actually loves what she does

  I remember speaking to several wedding planners and feeling defeated as one after another said my budget was too small. One day as I scrolled through instagram, the Lord brought me to Designvus by Nyika instagram page. I immediately contacted her and I remember telling her we don’t have that much money and we won’t be able to do a fancy wedding and she stopped me and said “No, you will have a fantastic wedding no matter your budget.” I was sold from that point. Nyika is very transparent and she tells you the prices of everything and will tell you what she believes is necessity and what she believes is optional. The choice is still yours but she will always go back to the budget and remind you of your priorities. Most people would want us to go big and choose the most expensive and fancy options she was always thinking of our best interest and always advocated on our behalf. It took us one year to plan our wedding and Nyika was with us every step of the way. She even made herself available to our family and wedding party who had questions. Our wedding was beautiful, we’re sure Nyika added more things than what we paid for. But that’s who she is, she wants your day to be beautiful and she won’t pressure you but if she sees something that can be done on the day to make the wedding look aesthetically pleasing…she’s going to get creative and get it done. Nyika and her team are amazing. Also we were in need of a ring bearer and we asked Nyika would she allow her son to be apart of the wedding and she said yes. He did a great job. He wowed the crowd with his unique routine. We hired a wedding planner but gained so much more. Nyika is family now. She treated our wedding as if it were her own. I would recommend Nyika and her team again and again and I look forward to her doing our anniversary party. Listen wedding planning isn’t easy and I thought I would’ve been able to do it by myself, I will be the first to admit that I was wrong and I’m glad I chose Nyika as our planner. If you want to start your wedding planning journey off right, hire Nyika and her team. You won’t regret it. She’s more than a five star wedding planner. She’s an amazing human being and we are blessed to have even been able to experience this beautiful of a person. Thank you Nyika, from Ruel, our family and myself. You did your thing girl!!!!   Great Wedding Planner, Designer and Day of Coordinator

  My husband and I decided we wanted to get married in Jamaica, we have never been to Jamaica before. I didn’t even know where to begin during the planning process. I ran into Nyika on wedding wire and I contacted her. From the very beginning she has always been very responsive and reassuring. When we would speak she would always listen and she was able to work around our budget quite a bit. Even with a tight budget we were able to get everything we wanted with awesome vendors.
  
  Overall Nyika made our night super special, she exceeded our expectations and more. They did an excellent job on the day of the wedding because we had to change plans because of the weather, we got crazy winds and the reception location had to change. They were totally flexible and everything turned out phenomenal. Our guests had an amazing time. Some guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to, some called it epic.
  
  Nyika, her crew and the vendors she recommended are all amazing. Give her your vision and she will turn it into reality.

  The Dream Team

  Nyika and her team are THE BEST! from start to finish they did not disappoint. Nyika literally held my hand up until I had to walk down the aisle. Never panicked, never got upset at the amount of changes I made and ALWAYS answered a call even with a 17 hour time difference and on her birthday. She is an amazing person and her work speaks for itself. I loved my decor and had so many compliments. She suggested wonderful vendors and they all were professional and great to work with. Most importantly she is very honest and will not steer you wrong or try to rip you off. I NEVER leave reviews but Nyika, the Dj, MC and pastor she suggested exceeded my expectations!   There is a saying that says "no expectations...no Disappointments....". My Expectations was above 100% and there was no Disappointments whatsoever. The execution in the planning of The Thompson's wedding was superb. I had no plan i only had the venue and one colour. Nyika did it all from finalizing the colours to giving us our dream wedding. Best Believe we are family and nyika maintained her professionalism i was not treated like a family i was treated like a client. Words can't explain how beautiful our wedding decor was. Everyone was in a aww moment because my dream came through. My first dance was inpressive i felt like i was dancing in the clouds. Best Believe i had my gender of my baby being revealed at my reception and it was well planned out by nyika. Nyika is the World's Best wedding Planner no other can contest. She executes, makes you comfortable and DELIVER!!!.

She is efficient and is always available to answer any queries (or just simply be there to listen to my random ideas). My indecisive nature was tolerated to my pleasant surprise and no matter the hour she accommodated me. Sometimes I wondered if I was her only bride because of her commitment.
  On our wedding day, it was pure joy to see all we desired come together- she's like a fairy godmother. When I look back at my pics from September 11, I marvel at the work the team put in- making my day what it is.
