Della Terra Beauty was amazing
Della Terra Beauty was amazing! I recently had a destination wedding in Asheville, NC. My wedding planner recommended contracting with Della Terra beauty for my wedding hair and makeup. My stylist/makeup artist, Jane, was amazing. I am an older bride and she made me look young and beautiful without overdoing it. She was super professional, and made the entire experience easy and fun. She listened to my few wishes and ran with it. I cannot speak highly enough of her. The company was professional at all levels. They even worked with rescheduling when our wedding was cancelled due to hurricane Helene. I highly recommend Della Terra Beauty. -

I cannot overstate how wonderful they are. From the first contact, to the hair and makeup trial, to the day of, everything was perfect. Della Terra handled my and my wedding party's hair and makeup needs flawlessly for my November 2023 wedding. From the initial contact, I appreciated that their pricing was transparent and available on their home page in a thoughtful PDF that also answered most of my questions!
As a bride of color with bridesmaids of several different ethnicities, it was important that I work with professionals who were familiar and had the right products to perform hair and makeup services for women of different complexion, hair texture, etc. Sydni was patient, understanding, and flexible, and helped me find the right people on the team (there are many stylist and make up artists!) to assuage my concerns.
On the day, my bridesmaids and I worked with Connie, Baylea, and Riley, who were all amazing! They were timely, kept to the schedule, brought great energy, and most important — did a BEAUTIFUL job on everyone's hair and makeup. Many of my bridesmaids said it was the best hair and/or makeup experience they'd ever had. I also loved my hair and makeup, and the team is so sweet. Would hire them again or recommend them/the fuller Della Terra Company without hesitation. -

I was so excited to book with Della Terra Beauty Salon for my wedding hair and makeup. I did a bit of research and they ended up as my number one pick. We got lucky and were able to reserve their salon for our getting ready location. We worked with Diana, Heidi and Brittan. Everyone was so happy with their hair and makeup! Diana did my makeup and Heidi did my hair - they both saw my vision and nailed it. Not only was I so in love with their work but they also were all so relaxed and prompt so we ran on great time. I chose to go with a full glam look and Diana brought nothing less of her A game! My bridesmaids all truly loved their hair and makeup and we cannot thank Della Terra enough! -

I did a bridal hair + makeup trial in May 2023 at the Della Terra studio before my October 2023 wedding which really helped me on my wedding day. The Della Terra look books were so helpful in helping me refine my vision for a wedding day look and Sierra gave fantastic skincare suggestions during the trial. By doing it so far in advance, I had the chance to really customize a twice daily skincare routine that worked for me consistently leading up to the wedding so my makeup would go on super smooth. Sierra & Diana did a fantastic job making me + my bridal party feel special the day of my wedding in Asheville before we left for our venue about an hour outside the city. Everyone was in love with their hair & makeup looks -- it was perfectly natural but elevated with some glowy & flowly touches to make everyone sparkle while feeling comfortable :) There were a lot of tears on my wedding day, but no makeup smudged during the entire day (no touch ups needed and we started at 9:30AM) and everyone's hair still looked amazing the day after before washing away! -

Della Terra Beauty (especially Diana, Heidi, and Manning) was a complete hit for me when it came to wedding vendors. From the beginning, the team is very responsive and I booked far out enough that I was able to request them as my hair and makeup artists!
Diana and Heidi did my trial, rehearsal dinner, and wedding day makeup. They listened to my requests and genuinely slayed it. I loved how my hair and makeup turned out, and it lasted all day long. Manning helped with my bridesmaids and they all had nothing but amazing things to say!
Besides just the hair and makeup, they’re just so so nice and calming on an important day. Diana stayed after doing my rehearsal dinner makeup to help me steam my dress! It’s the little things that make all the difference. I hope I have an event in the future where I could use them again. They were truly such a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them!! -

Della Terra Beauty made my wedding party and I feel absolutely Stunnin'!!! As soon as I began talking with them, I knew I wanted to work with them. Their communication was fast, reliable, and they were able to make everything work that I needed. I went in for my trial with Connie and Heidi, and left feeling absolutely amazing and confident that I would look how I dreamed on my wedding day. I wanted pink, soft glam and Connie made it happen, but better than I imagined. Not to mention - It last ALL day and well into the night! Through the tears, the dancing and dinner. Heidi gave me the boho fishtail of my dreams. I didn't think I had enough hair to accomplish what she pulled off. It looked absolutely amazing, and both of them were so nice to work with. My bridal party STILL talks about how much they loved their makeup. It can be hard to make sure every person feels good and loves their look, and this duo did it with ease! Additionally, my husband has long hair, and wanted it braided, so Della Terra sent out a third stylist to the venue to do the hair of some of the guys. He is still getting compliments on how nice his hair looked, and it made our photos so great! I can't recommend them enough. Connie and Heidi, thank you for being amazing.

I worked with Jess & Diana for my engagement shoot / bridal trial and then with Jess, Diana & Manning for my wedding day and I couldn’t be happier with how everything went and how everyone’s looks turned out. I had a party of 10 getting ready with me and the team was so efficient and so fun. The vibes were great! They listened to every single person and delivered the looks they were going for. We all walked away feeling so beautiful. I was especially pleased with my wedding look - the romantic hair and the bold, red lip. I’d recommend DellaTerra to anyone looking to feel absolutely gorgeous on their wedding day.

Amazing Hair and Makeup
The entire experience with the Della Terra team was incredible from bridal trial to wedding day. I worked with Jess and Diana to create mine and the bridesmaids look. I couldn’t imagine a better team. Jess was so efficient with styling each bridesmaids hair and each was so flawless. Both were so sweet with the flower girl too. Diana is a complete perfectionist and won’t let you leave until everything was gorgeous. We got ready in the salon and it was perfect (big enough for us, a party of 10 plus a couple others). They are also great at communicating from the start. Would 100% recommend the team for your wedding and any other needs. -

I had THE BEST experience with the Della Terra girls.
Jess is absolutely amazing at hair and is the kindest, most down-to-earth person that I know in the wedding industry. She was so flexible and even went above and beyond to help me calm my anxiety attack on my wedding day... Something that no one else could do.
Brittian and Lo were also AMAZING and my bridesmaids loved their looks!
Even more than that, when my original make-up artist canceled on me 5 weeks before my wedding, the Della Terra girls had my back and said, and I quote, "Do not worry. We are going to take care of you." I mean... Come on! I am so happy that I chose this amazing team and recommend them to anyone in the NC/SC area! -

Exactly what I wanted
I was hesitant having one of the stylists from the salon do my hair without meeting her or being able to do a hair trial but she looked at a picture of what I wanted and made it perfect! She was able to recreate pictures of hairstyles for all of my bridesmaids and everyone was happy. The were so easy to communicate with and flexible with location and time of services. Beautiful and Quality Work
I've had my makeup done a handful of times by professionals, and this is the first time that I still really felt like me underneath it. I asked that the look be light and natural to let my freckles still show through, and I was blown away by how perfectly that was done. My hair was also done beautifully, and held up all day and night which is a huge accomplishment for my hair which tends to deflate and lose style. All in all it was a great experience. They also did my mother's hair and makeup, and she looked gorgeous. -

Terran and her team were so amazing! We had to reschedule and downsize our wedding due to COVID-19. Della terra were super accommodating and flexible. What can I say Terran she was simply OUT of this world, marvelous and professional but personable as well. She didn’t dictate but gave me options for my hair and makeup. Since we eloped she even helped me into my gown and Assisted with photography, the end result, my groom said, I was stunning. He even mentioned my glitter and told me how perfect I looked. She went above and beyond my expectations.As a black woman I was worried because it’s Challenging to match my skin tone , but she matched it perfectly, (no ashy here). I was beautiful! Absolutely incredible experience
These women were absolute rock stars, and I simply cannot put into words well enough to do them justice for what a great experience we had with them!! They not only made our hair and makeup look phenomenal, they were incredibly fun and a pleasure to be around. We had a last minute snafu with our venue (it ended up getting resolved), and these ladies were calm, professional, and kept the mood light-hearted. They were absolutely integral to me being able to maintain my demeanor while getting my makeup done in the middle of the mini-crisis. In addition to makeup and wedding hair expertise, they were also amazingly helpful with choosing a local brewery for kegs and for finding a barber for my fiancé to get his hair and beard done pre-ceremony. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for an incredibly talented, fun, and inspired group of women to help make their wedding day (or any other festivity) a remarkable experience. They were so great they make me want to schedule another session just for fun! -

I cannot express how grateful I am to Terran and her team for their amazing hair and makeup skills.
The theme for my wedding was old Hollywood, and after my experience of two failed hair and makeup trials with other stylists, I was so thankful to have found Della Terra and knew as soon as I met Terran and told her my vision that she was going to knock it out of the park! My intuition was right, and after my trial with her I was blown away by her talent.
The entire process working with Terran and her team was very seamless and professional. On the big day, the team arrived to our hotel suite to do hair and makeup for me and all of my bridesmaids as well as my mother, my mother in law, and my step mother. Everyone was extremely happy with the outcome of their own looks, and they truly captured the old Hollywood vibe that I was going for with flawless execution.
Not only is Terran an amazing and talented stylist and makeup artist, but she has such a welcoming and genuine personality and she made sure I was completely comfortable and at ease during the entire getting ready process.
I would 100 percent recommend Terran and her team to anyone looking for the BEST hair and makeup experience in Asheville!! -

Terran was a complete joy to work with! I lived in Brooklyn, NY and had my wedding in Asheville, NC. It was extremely important to my husband & I that we hire dope Black-owned vendors. From the very beginning, booking with Della Terra Beauty was so easy! I was booked with Megan and she was was absolutely amazing. As I'm sure most brides feel, I was extremely nervous about having my make up done. I'm pretty picky when it comes to certain things and Megan was reassuring and followed my lead throughout the whole process. She is so nice and she made me feel so comfortable. Even if you don't get Megan as your artist, I'm sure you will be so happy with the outcome. There were times where I needed to relay a message or had questions and Terran was more than willing to make sure what I needed would be taken care of. Its obvious Terran and Megan care about their brides and that this team loves what they do. -

Terran and Leondra were very professional and so much fun! They keep you relaxed and are highly skilled in the services they provide. They provided hair and makeup for 7 people on my wedding day including myself and everyone loved them. They provided a touch up kit but it wasn’t even needed because the hair and makeup lasted beautifully! We even went out for an after party and my hair and makeup still looked perfect at 2am and that was 12 hours of wear. -

Terran, the owner and makeup artist, did a trial to ensure we knew exactly what we were looking for, and did makeup for both the engagement shoot and wedding day to perfection. The makeup looked natural and highlighted all my best features, and stayed on for the whole day! Both her and the hairstylist, Jess, worked personally with the whole bridal party to make sure each person got exactly the makeup and hair they wanted instead of just giving everyone the same look. Both were a pleasure to be around and filled the day with laughter and joy that made the wedding day even more special. I highly recommend hiring Terran and her team for your makeup needs! -

I loved working with Terran! I was looking for a stylist in the Asheville area and came across her website. She was very responsive and her pricing was reasonable so I decided to go with her. I'm so glad I did! I have long hair and a lot of it and she was able to give me a really pretty up-do. The coolest part about it was that I was able to take it from an up-do during the ceremony, and then after removing a couple pins, was able to wear it half up/half down during the reception. My husband even commented that he had never seen that before and loved my hair on our wedding day. I highly recommend working with Terran! -

Terran did an amazing job!!!
Terran did my make up and hair for my elopement as well as my sister and mother’s hair! I wanted a really natural look for our outdoor elopement and Terran did a perfect job!!! Terran was extremely responsive and flexible with me when I was ready to book her for me and my mom and SIL but did not have many other details aligned. She was on time and did a wonderful job, and was easy going to be around for all that time which is always a plus. Terran was amazing! i chose her because she had redheads in your portfolio on her website so I knew she would know what do with my fair skin and coloring. She paused regularly to ask what I thought and if I wanted more of something, less of something, or to do something differently. She even helped my mom get my sticky bra pads in the dress and my dress situated. Not only did she go above and beyond but she fit in and was cutting up with us like she was just one of the girls we had known forever. -

If you’re needing someone for hair/makeup for your big day, Tarren is your girl! Please read the whole review to fully get how amazing she is & how she goes above & beyond for her clients!
First off, Terran did my makeup & hair better than I could have imagined. She listened to what ideas I had & made it come to life. Thanks to her, I felt beautiful on my wedding day. She was also so easy to talk to, it felt like I was getting ready with a friend (which was a plus since my husband & I eloped).
BUT the best part was her flexiabilty & willingness to help. The Monday before our Saturday ceremony our photographer & officiant backed out. When I told Terran she immediately asked if there was anything she could do to help & proceeded to help me find, & hire, a photographer & an officiant. Due to the new bookings, we had to move the time of the ceremony around a little & she was so flexable & understanding about it.
Honestly, without her help I probably would’ve thrown in the towel & had to completely reschedule everything. -

Terran helped my big day go by flawlessly. She is punctual, professional, and very attentive to desired looks and styles. She worked with me to lock down my bridal look months ahead of the date. Amazingly positive energy, so easy to communicate with and felt like we were old friends when we met for the first time. They made all 12 girls and women in my wedding party (including me) look stunning. From natural to glamour they captured both looks perfectly. Not only that, but when something wasn’t exactly how I wanted it they corrected it right away instead of brushing it off which some makeup and hair stylists do. Skye Sent on 08/31/2018Wow. Words can't describe how amazing Terran is and how much I loved my hair and make-up for my wedding. I wanted something feminine and different that would show off my personality. One side of my head was shaved and the other had long hair. Terran made a Pinterest board for me with a bunch of looks for inspiration and we decided on a braid sweeping to one side with jewels showing off the shaved pattern. She even suggested how I could do my own clip-in extensions and she walked me through the whole process and then used those in my hair design. People all thought it was my natural hair and we're amazed. My make-up also struck the best balance of glamor (loved the lashes!!) And still allowing my freckles (which my husband loves!!) to shine through. She made the day fun, rrlaxing, and magical!! Would definitely use her again for a wedding or other posh event or fundraiser!!

What I loved about Terran’s work was that she really listens to her clients and allows their personality and desires to mesh perfectly with the artistry and talent she brings to the table. When I saw my wife after her session with Terran, I thought she had never looked more beautiful. That was because she walked down the aisle with confidence in exactly who she is, not what the makeup artist wanted her to be. She even did some subtle grooming on me to conceal some pimples I had and made my hair look better than I could ever make it look on my own. We really were our truest and best selves that night and we owe a lot of that to Terran. She’s confident, professional, communicative, and fun! I highly recommend her to anyone. Terran is the real deal.
