UPDATE APRIL 2022: Todd & JoJo were the absolute perfect pair for us on our wedding day. Todd has such a creative eye and kept our day moving along with all the photos we were looking for. We had a big sneak peek album within 48 hours of our wedding and got to see how well he captured our absolute favorite moments throughout the entire day that left us with so much joy! We cannot wait to see the entire album!
My fiancé & I cannot recommend Todd enough! When we first spoke to him last fall, he immediately made us feel very comfortable and gave us so much helpful information from the start about how wedding timelines work. He has such a calm demeanor that we knew we had to book him! We recently had our Engagement Photo shoot this summer and Todd, along with his assistant JoJo, made the day so easy going for us and helped us lighten up at the shoot went on. Todd and JoJo are the very best of the best. Going into it, we knew we needed a wedding photographer with whom we could be comfortable and be ourselves. We wanted someone who could not only capture beautiful photographs but who cared about getting to know us and capturing “us”. We did our engagement shoot with Todd and JoJo and knew from the start that they were exactly who we were looking for. They made things so easy, coming prepared and being receptive to our questions and ideas. When it came to preparing for the big day, Todd met with us several times to talk logistics. He cared about understanding what was important to us, and also played a critical part in helping us prepare for the day. Todd has wealth of experience and knowledge, as well as an attention to detail second to none, resulting in an ultimate product which is beautiful. Todd and Jojo are true professionals. They worked hard from the moment they showed up (which was early to set up + check out the venue) to the end of our wedding night. They were in constant communication with us and helped guide us to capture great moments throughout our wedding ceremony and reception. They sent us sample images the next day and followed up shortly with a batch of photos. It only took a few weeks to get the full gallery of images which we absolutely loved. Todd and Jojo were beyond amazing to work with! I was the month of wedding coordinator (Pamela Ventura Events) for an amazing couple and Todd was their contracted photographer. He was amazing to work with, made my job easy! He scouted the first look location weeks before the wedding, we were in constant communication regarding the timeline, he was amazing on the wedding day. He's extremely artistic and creative. An amazing photographer

All of my photos were absolutely amazing. Todd was so flexible and responsive to our mid pandemic wedding. He made our photos a dream and we never would’ve had that without him. Our wedding day experience with Della Bella Photography was nothing short of amazing. The photographers were kind, courteous and very professional. They allowed us to be ourselves, while still capturing the magical moments of our wedding day. While they had some poses and certain shots in mind, they were super
flexible and very adaptable, which is just one of the many things we loved about their work ethic. They had fun with us and made sure we got every moment captured that we wanted. One thing my wife and I really enjoyed was that we did not have to disappear from our guests or the party for more than a few brief moments when taking photos and the family group photos. It was truly a pleasure to work with this company. We received the 1000+ photos in a timely fashion and the way they were able to edit the photos was a work of art. They did not look too filtered or overly edited, and we love every one of them. Della Bella really has a knack for capturing the energy of the moment through setting, lighting and attention to detail. Todd was very knowledgeable about some great local spots (Topsmead State Forest) to choose for our photos, and was able to capture the kinds of photos we were hoping for. He made us feel comfortable throughout the photo shoot even when convincing us to move outside of our comfort zone. Todd arrived early for the shoot and it was obvious he was well prepared. He has always been prompt in responding to our questions and concerns when we were working on getting the shoot set up. Overall, it was a great experience and we are very happy with our engagement photos and are excited for the wedding!!

Perfect Pictures
I am absolutely in love with the wedding pictures that I got from Della Bella photography! He was so easy to work with via text, email and phone calls, and he checked in a few days beforehand to make sure that we were on the same page if the weather were to take a turn for the worst! During my photo shoot he paid attention to the details, making sure that my hair was not out of place, that my bouquet was at the right angle, Etc. I cannot express how happy I am with the service that he provided before, during, and after my wedding. Great Experience!
My husband and I were married on May 10, 2018. Todd was our photographer. It was an awesome choice to have him capture our day. Firstly, he was punctual. Prior to our wedding day, he coordinated a ‘day-of-schedule’ that planned out his arrival and times for pictures throughout the day. Todd was very professional yet so down to earth, making us laugh the entire time. He worked very well with us, the bridal party, and both of our families (which merits a lot of patience!). He is very good with direction, making sure to get the best shots/poses. I appreciate a photographer who makes sure everyone in a shot is looking their best and Todd takes time to do that (checking for smiles and eye closure, even straightening ties...etc). When it came to creating our wedding album, a whole year later in 2019, the entire process went very smoothly. He was even very understanding that life circumstances led to the year-long delay of designing our album. As you can imagine putting together a wedding album can be quite time consuming however, Todd walked us through every step, listened to our concerns and made helpful recommendations. Overall, Todd was very patient with us and our experience with him from start to finish of our wedding journey (he photographed our engagement pictures as well) was a memorable one. Della Bella Photography is well worth the financial investment, which I must say the packages are very fair. If we had to do it all over, hands down, my husband and I would not hesitate to work with Todd again.

If you’re searching for a photographer for your wedding, look no further! Todd from Della Bella is your go to guy, along with his fantastic assistants!
We were living in California planning for our wedding that was going to be in CT at Foxwoods Casino, so we had to look at vendors in that area. When we came across Della Bella’s page we knew it was a great fit for us just by looking at the images. Photography is a very important part of a wedding and I just knew right away the images from Della Bella would be amazing, so we put all of our eggs in one basket and booked right away to secure our date! Todd kept in contact our entire engagement and he is a very great guy with a laid back personality which was good especially for my nerves on the big day lol.
When we moved back to the area, I set up a time to go meet him at the location where the wedding was going to be and we scouted our the area of where we would be doing first look pictures, group photos etc. He is very organized and wants to make sure everything is perfect and how you want it to go. He puts a lot of work into preparing for the day and is very professional. He knew photography is important to us so he asked for any ideas that we had for pics and he got every idea silly or not, that we gave him! The week before the wedding he had me email him must have shots that we wanted and he brought it the day of to make sure he got them plus thousands and thousands more shots!!
When the big day arrived we were thrown a curve ball with the rainy windy weather so I was nervous about all the shots we planned were outside. But Todd and his assistant came in strong and had a backup plan in order for another place for the pictures and it was perfect!
Della Bella are very talented hard working professionals who have a gift behind the camera that capture lifelong images. They are very unique and creative and I love everything about them and I know you will too. We will cherish these photos for our lifetime :)
April 27, 2019 was a day to remember and Della Bella played a big part, they are the best!!

Todd and his staff are excellent to work with !!!! I am an artist and when my husband and I were searching for a wedding photographer I did extensive research. I can't tell you how many portfolios I looked at and how many websites I searched..... waaaay to many to count, but once I found Della Bella Photography my hunting stopped! (The photographer for our special day was so important that we booked Todd before we even had a venue or a definite date). Let me tell you.....Todd LOVES photography. For him, the camera is an extension of what he sees and a means to capture the physical as well as a the emotional moment. That might sound a bit out there, but a picture is just not a picture, its a very specific snapshot in time and Todd does everything he can to capture it the way he sees it and the way "you feel". Todd understand about lighting and composition which is so important to making a photograph outstanding. (Lots of photographers can point and shoot a fancy camera, but it's way more involved than that). I can't tell you enough how awesome Todd is. We made sure we did an engagement photo shoot with him before our wedding... and we are so glad we did. It taught us a great deal about ourselves and our bodies as well as educated us about Todd. Most of us are not used to posed photos, but Todd does everything he can to make the photos look natural but at the same time professional. At times we felt like we were twisting and had unnatural poses but the photos show a different story all together and we are so glad we listened to Todd. We even had Todd take photos totally differently than he imagined and he had fun taking those shots too. Having chemistry with your loved one is important, but having professional chemistry with your photographer to capture one of the most important day(s) of your life is priceless. I highly recommend you talk to Todd. Todd is extremely responsive by email and text. No question was too small. We went over loads of details and we are glad we did. Out of all the professionals we had for our special day, I would book Todd again in a heart beat!!!!!

We did an engagement shoot with Todd and he was the photographer for our wedding. He did an amazing job for both events and we are so happy we picked Della Bella Photography. Todd has great vision for how couples can pose for photos and gives really clear instructions to help you get the perfect shot. The photos turn out amazing and they are so much better than what you can come up with on your own.
Todd is also very responsive during the planning process and easy to work with even if you have changes leading up to the wedding day. His prices are also very reasonable. I cannot say ENOUGH positive things about Todd, and Della Bella Photography! We were introduced to Todd and his company by my younger sister, who also used him for her wedding and which we were blown away by. Todd is professional in every sense of the word: timely, communicative, kind, generous, personable, hard working and has an amazing artistic vision which he carries out beautifully. Todd is immensely responsive and professional. He always took time to explain things, and my fiancé and I were very pleased with the engagement pictures that he took. We have secured his services for our wedding as well. And, the best part is that his prices are extremely reasonable. We looked into other photographers before meeting with Todd and they charged almost double the price. I would definitely recommend Della Bella Photography!!

My husband and I cannot even begin to explain how unfathomably satisfied we were with Todd from Della Bella Photography. He is so friendly, kind and passionate about the work he does. He will do whatever is necessary to ensure your big day is exactly to your liking. He showed up right on time and worked so efficiently throughout our entire wedding. He captured amazing images of the night without being invasive or distracting to us or our guests. Our favorite thing about Todd was that he came to the table with fresh and innovative ideas for photography; he knows his stuff (but he is not obnoxious or pushy) and will guide you regarding everything from A to Z. He is also open to hearing your ideas, as well. He keeps track of time throughout the entire night to ensure everything is on schedule. He truly makes everything SO easy. Todd did such a amazing job with our wedding photo's. They came out gorgeous. His price was very reasonable compared to other we had inquired, and his work was top notch, You can tell he really loves what he does. He was also very responsive, we never had an issue getting ahold of him or a response back, something we heard others had issues with their photographers. The best part is we had our photos in a week and half after the wedding (usb stick). This is unheard of. We loved our experience with Todd at our engagement shoot as well. The weather wasn't the best, and Todd did a great job! The photo's came out wonderful, and we received them in less than 10 day.

Todd was excellent and the photos came out better than we could have dreamed. He met with us first to show us his portfolio and go over what we were looking for. Anytime we contacted him leading up to the wedding, he was very quick to get back to us. The day of, he showed up on time and ready to go. He worked with us to get the shots we wanted and was very thorough and detail oriented when taking each photo. He took a nice mixture of formal portraits and relaxed, unposed pictures to show off every part of our day. He worked very hard and we couldn't have asked for anything more!

Todd provided photography for my wedding ceremony and reception. He was reasonably priced and seemed to really enjoy what he does. He spent time finding out what type of shots would look good for the day and asked us to send him any shots we really wanted to do so he could be prepared for the day of. The photos he produced look amazing. Even friends of mine that do photography could tell immediately that they were taken by a professional. The day was windy and he even set things up to calm the wind so our hair wouldn't be blowing everywhere and ruin the photos. He also made sure that the foliage of fall was highlighted and stood out in the background of the photos. Again, the photos are beautiful.

I got married on 12/13/14, and I would recommend highly Della Bella photography, our pictures came out wonderful, It was so surprising when he remembered peoples names, brought in a list of pictures that I had sent him that I wanted to take or made sure that everything was picture perfect by fixing grooms tie, shirt or even angles! You get one chance to capture the momentson your wedding day, this day was crazy and when I look back at the pictures I dont remember the crazniess just the wonderful times on our beautiful day

Todd was fantastic. We enjoyed working with him before and at the wedding, and were so happy with the photos he took. It's now six months later and we love looking at our pictures.
One of the things I like to remember about Todd's photography is when we were doing family portraits on the steps of a beautiful house/museum. Todd was guiding some people to stand on a single step while others should have one foot on one step and the other foot on the next step. I remember thinking it was such a small, specific thing, and that I was curious if it made any difference at all to the look of the picture. When we saw the pictures--he was so right! It looked great with certain people standing on two steps. He has such a good eye.

From start to finish it was wonderful working with Todd at Della Bella Photography. He shot our engagement photos and our wedding photos. For the engagement shoot, he had never been to the location that we wanted to shoot at, so he went out of his way to drive down early so that he could see the park he'd be shooting at and to get some ideas. Todd was very easy to reach before the wedding to discuss the type of photos I was looking for and he was also great the day of the wedding. He captured every moment I was hoping for and aside from formal photos where his direction was needed, he managed to just fade into the background and not disturb anything going on that day. His years of experience with weddings came in handy. It was the little things; like reminding my husband to put back on his Tux jacket for the cake cutting photos. Every bride wants her photos back as soon as possible after the wedding. This is truly where Della Bella Photography shines! I had 2 dvds of my photos back in the mail in record time and when I made a mistake with choosing my album photos, Todd went out of his way to fix my mistake and make sure my wedding album was perfect, stating "You only have this day once, let's make sure we get this perfect!".

Todd was the perfect choice for our very intimate backyard wedding. From the moment he came to meet us at our house for the consultation, we felt he understood our needs and the feel we wanted our wedding to have perfectly. The photos prior to the ceremony were perfectly staged beautifully done, and during the wedding Todd was always right there to get every shot I wanted. He was professional, very responsive to our questions and was great on the day of shoot. We were working with a short window to take all of the photos we wanted and Todd was able to make that happen easily and efficiently. Todd and Meredith captured beautiful photographs and really went out of their way to make sure the little details were attended to. They were very perceptive of the little "extras" (like eyes open, strands of hair, etc) that could challenge a picture. They were great with the kids and they had the bridal party laughing. We had a very nice experience with this photographer. He was engaged and accommodating and took some beautiful shots throughout the entire day (candids, before, during and after).

We found Todd online through a google search, mainly looking for quality at a great price. We negotiated a "shoot and burn" and couldn't be happier. This allowed us to print our photos when we were ready and weren't bound to purchase expensive prints.

Todd Della Bella was our destination wedding photographer and was excellent!!! I can't say enough good things about his work other than it was rather expensive. I guess that the best is always more costly. But then St. John, in the US Virgin Islands was not our budget choice either. We really had a great time and Della Bella Photography was an instrumental part of our gorgeous wedding.

Good picture quality and quantity. Actual photos were too expensive to purchase after already paying the fee. Other brides stated they had found deals where they purchase the photographer and receive sets of pictures included in the fee.

Even though we did get some nice pictures from our wedding, overall we are very disappointed with our experience with Todd.
- Poor time management. No photos of us getting ready. He spent this whole time taking pictures of my accessories (and left my bracelet unattended, our coordinator found it and brought it to me). He wanted to "fake" those prep photos as we were rushing to line up for the ceremony.
- My husband or I had to say "we need to move on" multiple times because he spent so long with the same poses. Any other wedding I've been in, the photographer moved quickly from one shot/area to the next, and instructed us to pose in other ways to have variety. Our group shots are in the same 2 places and are either looking at the camera smiling, or the "walk forward in a group" shot that he had us repeat multiple times. Our gallery felt very repetitive.
- Professionalism: He was rude to my attendant when she was trying to bring over my wine, and tore down the grapevine in the courtyard because it was in the way of his shot. When it started raining, he didn't let us get our umbrellas because "the light will be gone soon." Instead, we had to stand in the rain while he finished. My hair was a frizzy mess for the entire reception. Others also commented to me about how taken aback they were by his behavior.
First look: he wanted to "stage" it, and was directing us, instead of capturing it as it happened. I wish we never agreed to this - it ruined the moment.
Overall, we got some good pictures, but he missed a lot of standard ones (neither one of us got a family picture, or with each bridesmaid/groomsman, close up detail shots, etc), and a lot of key candid moments. He also didn't get the one shot of the ceremony that we asked for beforehand. The editing of some photos was odd - our eyes made unnaturally white, or a filter that gave the groom grey hair.
We are regretfully wishing we spent more and went with one of our friend's wedding photographers.

I'll start this review by saying that when my husband first met Todd he was very professional and curteous but the Todd we got at our wedding day was completely different. Not only were me and my husband appauled at his behavior but we had other guests and vendors comment on his erratic behavior. His appearance was extremely disheveled with greasy hair and reeking of cigarettes which many guests complained about. When it came time to take pictures he was barking orders at family members and friends. For example instead of saying mam could you take your purse off for pictures he would tell family members to lose the purse. It seems as though he was inpatient to get all these pictures taken. Right after the ceremony was done I was a bit overwhelmed and freezing since it was the coldest fall day and asked for 5 minutes to just grasp what had happened and to regroup. The response I got was "we don't have time for this" we had Todd for several hours so I don't understand the time restraint. When our officiant was trying to take a few pictures of us after the ceremony Todd was irritable and wanted to take his own pictures. We also had a friend take a few pictures and Todd just wanted all the attention to him the whole time. The bridal party was in disbelief with his behavior. Most of the pictures came out good except for the outside pictures where I clearly look frozen which is why I kept telling Todd I was cold. The group pictures of family members weren't too good either. The whole experience just seemed rushed and not sincere. I don't know if Todd just had an off day that day or if he's always like this but I was in complete shock as his reviews on this website are good but I would never recommend him and I've never written a bad review in my life. I called Todd a few months after the wedding to explain to him how I felt and he just pretty much said sorry and seemed less than sincere. So just be careful ladies! A photographer is a huge aspect of your wedding day

The one thing about my wedding day that my husband and i still are unhappy about (almost 5 years later) was the photographer. Della Bella Photography had been suggested by our reception hall, so we met with Todd. One of the things that my husband was insistent upon was that our formal shots be taken with a medium format print camera, instead of being shot digitally. When Todd told us that he only used digital, we thanked him, and got ready to leave. He quickly told us that if we were insistent on that, then he would go along with our wishes. We thought that would be the end of that. Fast forward to our wedding day, we were sitting at the reception hall waiting for everyone to get there, Todd walks in and informed us (with a smile on his face, as if to get us to laugh along) that his medium format camera was broken, so he would just shoot our formals in digital (haha). My husband was *infuriated* and the only thing that kept our wedding day from being ruined was Todd quickly backpedaling and offering to shoot in slide film, but obviously only to placate my husband, because he then made a face when my husband took him up on it. halfway through our reception, when he should have been shooting, he walked up to my husband again, and again with the goofy smile told him that he had fixed his medium format, as if he expected us to give up even more time to have more formals taken. all in all, we would never recommend Della Bella Photography to anyone.
