We got married at Mountain & Vine (previously DelFosse) last month and it was truly perfect. The owners of the venue are so kind and welcoming throughout the process and were so great to work with. Because the venue only does one wedding a weekend, we knew that we had their full attention. We were also able to leave items at the venue the night before the wedding, and pick things up the day after the wedding, which significantly helped when figuring out the logistics of things! The venue is absolutely beautiful and we are so thrilled we booked this place! -

Absolutely breathtaking

This picturesque vineyard will leave you and your guests floored with its rolling mountain backdrop and towering vines.
My husband and I visit the Faber area annually for Thanksgiving to visit family, so we were somewhat familiar with other wineries in the area. But, we had never previously been, or heard of Mountain & Vine. I stumbled across this venue online when looking for a for a destination wedding. My wedding planner later described it as a ‘hidden gem’- I couldn’t agree more!
This vineyard offers more than just a reception venue; to look elsewhere for a ‘ceremony’ setting is comical! The ceremony site on top of the hill feels surreal in person. Many guests raved about the overwhelming feeling of bliss they experienced up there. Most guests took the opportunity before/after the ceremony to get their own photos to document the naturally jaw-dropping background.
When searching for similar venues, I found that I would love either the ceremony site or the reception venue. Mountain & Vine not only checked those two boxes, but in addition, offered a beautiful pond at the bottom of the hill to host our cocktail hour. They setup a fully stocked horseshoe bar and offered passed hors d’oeuvres with plenty of seating. This broke up the ceremony and reception perfectly. We hired Terra Voce, a local flute and cello duo, to play at the ceremony and cocktail hour. They added such a soft, elegant touch in the background, setting an intimate tone for the entire evening.
Mountain & Vine’s reception space really solidified my decision to go with this venue. The concrete floors balanced with rustic wood beams and cream drapery provided an updated, neutral canvas to add my style to. Mixing eucalyptus greenery and gold accents to the tables set a warm and inviting atmosphere.
We decided to rent the farmhouse on the property for the weekend, which was an ideal house for the morning of the wedding. Plenty of rooms and space to setup for hair, makeup and getting dressed. The farmhouse overlooks a different part of the vineyard. A few of my bridesmaids mentioned feeling like they were in France!
The cozy, authentically wooded cabin at the ceremony site was perfect for the groomsmen to get ready and have a drink before the ceremony. My husband and I stayed there our wedding night and more-than enjoyed waking up to the hilltop mountain view. We will certainly be back to rent that cabin time and time again.
We also hired Carpe Donut truck to serve warm donuts and coffee. This added dimension was a hit and so appropriate for the setting! Many guests mentioned what a unique touch it was, and the children loved it!
The staff at Mountain & Vine made my entire experience relaxed and enjoyable. From my very first emails with Adrian and Jena to the morning after the wedding, the staff went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. I hired a wedding planner, whom I adored, but now knowing Jena and Adrian will be offering that service, it’d be silly to look elsewhere. Planning a wedding from many states away seemed intimidating at first. But, with their quick responses and knowledge of the area, I was at ease with finding all my vendors, etc. They guided me from beginning to end and I can’t thank them enough!
The owner of the Vineyard, Mike, was also super involved. His passion for the vineyard really showed as he personally toured the vineyard with us upon our first visit. He was also easily accessible throughout our wedding day and the morning after! He pours his energy into keeping the winery buildings, farmhouse, cabin and vineyards clean and well-maintained. Mike’s love for the vineyard is evidenced by tasteful wine, delicious food and happy staff!

I’ve been to many beautiful weddings; but, I truly don’t think I am biased in saying this setting allowed for the most special wedding I’ve ever attended! -

We had the wedding of our dreams on June 11, 2022. The views hillside are a huge reason why we picked Delfosse and the weather ended up being perfect! We really had a fairytale wedding, with my husband's cousins from Italy even commenting, "it reminded them of Tuscany". We can't wait to visit and relive the magic on our anniversary!

We had to replan our wedding for three different dates due to Covid, and Delfosse was willing to work with us through it all! We finally had our wedding this November, and it was worth the wait. The vineyard in the fall is breathtaking, and guests commented on how beautiful everything was all night. We ended up having our ceremony in the "meadow" instead of at the top of the hill, but the fountain behind the altar made for an incredible backdrop. The tasting room was great for a chilly cocktail hour, and the event barn was perfect for dinner and dancing. I'm so glad we got to spend our wedding at Delfosse! -

Wonderful venue for private event
My best friends and husband planned an afternoon at the Historic 1870s Log Cabin on the property of Delfosse Vineyards and Winery to celebrate my 30th birthday and the completion of my master's degree program. It was held on the wrap-around porch and patio area, complete with an outdoor wooden rustic bar, which was perfect for serving wine and for setting up a mimosa bar - essential for any event! Delfosse's sparkling wine, Joie de Vivre, was splendid to toast with. I LOVED all of their wines that were selected to be served - Hippie Chick, Grand Cru Reserve, Rose, Viognier, and Grinning Fox. I honestly can't pick a favorite because they were all amazing! The owners, Mike and Adrienne, treated my guests and I like family and were so accommodating, checking in to make sure that I had the best celebration and Delfosse experience. The sweeping views of the European-style terraced vineyards and Blue Ridge mountains were an added bonus, the most gorgeous backdrop to my event. I highly recommend anyone hosting a private event or looking for a wedding venue - look no further, visit Delfosse right now! Come see these spectacular views for yourself and drink their amazing wine, no wonder they are award-winning. I promise you won't be disappointed! -

I am so happy with our recent wedding and brunch at Delfosse! Our plans changed so many times since we started planning during the pandemic, and the staff at Delfosse helped us every step of the way. Their wedding experience really made things less stressful, they had a lot of helpful insight I never would have thought of. Our ceremony was intimate and beautiful, all our guests were amazed by the views. We had our families stay at the log cabin and farmhouse, they really enjoyed being able to spend the weekend there. We also had a beautiful brunch the day after, it was a huge hit! I could not have asked for a more helpful and accommodating staff to make the weekend so flawless. -

Above and beyond!
There are not enough words to express how wonderful our experience was working with DelFosse for our wedding. The owners, Adrienne and Mike, truly care about their couples, and went above and beyond to help us navigate the challenges of planning a wedding during COVID. We had to postpone our original date, and the owners and venue coordinator worked with us to ensure we still had the perfect day a year later. The venue is absolutely breathtaking - if you are looking for a venue in the Charlottesville area, look no further than DelFosse. It truly is a hidden gem. We are so grateful for our experience here and highly recommend DelFosse to all couples! -

Engagement Party May 2021
DelFosse Vineyards and Winery has always been a special spot for this future bride and groom. The Charlottesville area always calls them back home, and what better place would have been a perfect destination for this couple’s engagement? The owners of this venue are so flexible, and truly go out of their way to make their guests feel appreciated and valued. From some of the best wine in the area, gorgeous scenery, excellent staff, and comfortable lounging, there is no other venue near the Charlottesville area that I could recommend more! -

So incredibly glad we chose Delfosse for our wedding venue!! From the moment we pulled up to the property the first time we visited, I knew this was where I wanted to get married.
From the vineyards, to the reception space, all areas the property has to offer are gorgeous! The view from the top of the hill at the ceremony site will literally take your breath away.
Couple that with exceptional food, amazing service and staff, and sweethearts of owners (Hi, Adrienne and Michael!!), and you have yourself a five star wedding from start to finish. Oh, and the wine is among the best I’ve ever had, hands down!
Do yourself a favor and book this place immediately. Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed with Delfosse!! -

Perfect Wedding
Having our wedding at Delfosse was the best decision we ever made. We knew we wanted to have our wedding at a winery, and visited them until our head spun. Once we saw Delfosse, and especially after we met the staff, we knew we didn't have to look any further. The property was beautiful, the food was incredible, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy. You get the feeling that you're family there, not just a customer. The wines are, of course, to die for (we love love love the Malbec). Spending the night in the cabin after the reception was all we could have hoped for, sitting in front of a warm crackling fire with a picturesque view of the beauty right out the window and ending our perfect day. This will definitely be an anniversary visit! -

My husband and I fell in love with DelFosse as soon as we toured. We knew it was the perfect venue for us-- GORGEOUS views, tasty wine, and warm, friendly owners. Adrienne and Mike made us feel like family every single step of the way. We loved visiting the winery to talk through steps because we were always greeted with a hug and a smile. Seriously-- Adrienne went above and beyond to make us feel special. When the weekend came, she was there to make sure we were relaxed and excited. The entire staff was incredible, and the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception felt seamless. DelFosse does not feel like a "wedding factory"-- in a part of Virginia where most vineyards have multiple weddings a weekend. Adrienne made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it, and everything was personal to US! We recommend booking both the farmhouse and the cabin-- staying there (with our bridal party in the farmhouse) made the entire weekend seamless. My husband and I got to wake up the next day and drink coffee on the porch of the cabin-- looking out at the gorgeous view. It was perfection. Our guests raved about the food (they particularly loved the wine!), and we got tons of positive feedback about the beauty of the venue. Our wedding was magical, and it is all thanks to Adrienne, Mike, and everyone else at DelFosse! We could not recommend them more! -

Sarah Sent on 07/17/2018Our June wedding at Delfosse Vineyards and Winery was an epic success. So many of our guests said it's the best wedding they have ever been to. You are not going to find better views anywhere. Two words: Dream Venue.
We went for the in-house catering and it was exceptional. No one could believe how delicious and well-presented everything was. It was also a deal. Weddings are expensive all around, but they did really offer a lot more for the money than other places we checked out.
Most important thing, though, the staff. From the owners to the tasting room to the event staff, everyone was so conscientious, caring and a ton of attention to detail. We can't thank them enough for being there every step of the way for us.

The entire process at Delfosse, from our first venue tour to our final planning walk through, to our ceremony, to our reception - - everything was so well done. The food and the wine at Delfosse are as outstanding as the views, which is saying a lot! The most important thing was the comfort level we felt throughout the year long planning process because of the attentive, responsive staff. The Day of coordination was exceptional and I was so glad we decided to treat ourselves to that. The Log Cabin is absolutely magical! We also rented the cute, little farmhouse on the property and that ended up being a lifesaver. Between the unbelievably gorgeous setting, the great food and wine, and the amazing staff, our day was absolutely perfect.

Michelle Sent on 11/26/2017Delfosse is a gorgeous wedding venue! The photographs from our late October wedding are literally breathtaking. From the first visit to the day of the event, co-owner Adrienne Albers showed tremendous attention to detail and treated us like family. All of our guests remarked on the beautiful hilltop ceremony backdrop, and the cocktail hour in the tasting room was the perfect combination of elegance and comfort. The food was absolutely delicious, particularly the filet mignon. We could not have asked for a better wedding day. We highly recommend Delfosse!

The Log Cabin bridal suite is GORGEOUS! The staff is incredibly attentive, caring and nice. In house catering made it so we had one less big thing to arrange and they were really helpful through the whole process. -

Gorgeous Wedding Venue
When we first toured Delfosse as a potential wedding venue, we immediately loved it; it felt different than other vineyards and more special and private. The hillside views are stunning and we are so happy we were able to have our ceremony outside, despite the rain during our vows! As far as vineyards go, Delfosse had a great reception hall (also the rain plan location), rather than just a tent, which was a big selling point for us. The tall ceiling and white string lights made it a dreamy reception space and all of our guests had a blast and couldn't stop talking about how amazing our wedding was. Thank you, Delfosse! -

Living out of state, we were a bit hesitant to pick a venue we’d never seen in person. We had family visit DelFosse on our behalf and decided to go ahead with reserving a date. We were thrilled when, four months later, we visited DelFosse in person. It is a beautiful venue, with lots of picturesque outdoor spaces, a large reception space (newly finished, not long before our wedding), and multiple indoor alternative options in case of rain.
Most of our coordination was done through Liz, while she was still around, and working with her was a joy. She was eager to make things as special for us as possible and very helpful in answering all our questions and helping us decide on what details we might care about. She knew just what we needed, with regards to the venue, and made coordinating our wedding much easier.
Our May wedding was delayed due to COVID-19, but our September date turned out very well. DelFosse was great about addressing all our spacing concerns, wearing masks, keeping all the doors open in the reception hall, and even catering to a few guests who preferred to sit outside (though the servers did forget to give one of them a salad).
Additionally, the in-house catering was really easy to figure out and was extremely tasty. It’s probably a little pricier than some alternatives in the area, but it was high quality food and it was extremely easy to arrange everything. We did have some issues with the wait staff, who started packing up the bar early (something like two hours before the scheduled end of the reception!) and removed full wine glasses while guests were away from their tables. Mike apologized to us the day after when we mentioned it and agreed that it shouldn’t have happened and said he’d look into the issue.
All in all, an amazingly beautiful venue with great food. Our pictures are simply gorgeous and we had a lovely time. Definitely looking forward to visiting again in the future (maybe even for a vow renewal some day, so our missing guests can experience it)! -
