Best make up experience!

Dee was fantastic. She is professional and pleasant and puts her brides first. She spent a lot of time during my trial making sure everything was perfect, and day of my make up looked even better!! Since booking, she would check in with helpful tips to make sure my skin looked its best on my wedding day. She is so talented. She even gives back to animal charities - so cool! Do yourself a favor and book Dee for your wedding!

Go be fabulous with Deeva!

I'm so glad that I turned to Dee after a nightmare trail!
When I first started planning my wedding I was trying to save money where I could do when my a friend recommended her cousin's wife to do my wedding makeup and said she'd be really cheap I thought sure! Why not? After walking out with feeling like I had cake icing on my face and fuscia eye shadow, I panicked! That's when I remembered Deeva beauty from when I was a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding years ago! I called immediately and we set up a trial, which was fabulous and I knew I found the artist.

Deeva makes you feel right at home while getting your makeup done, which I think is probably a harder job than most think because they are literally in your face the whole time, but with Dee it jobs of just feels like you're playing makeup with an old friend. She is professional with her paperwork and so responsive - she even checked in the day before the wedding just to ask how I was doing and if I needed anything last minute - so sweet!

I've never felt more fabulous and beautiful than when I've had my face done by Dee. She is a true artist and makes you glow in the most fabulous way! In my care, I wanted a natural but still glamorous look and she got it spot on! She's also uses all cruelty free makeup and loves talking animals so that was a huge plus for me as well! (Plus the fact that my dog's name is Dee so I took it as a sign!)

I would recommend Dee anytime to anyone whenever they want to go be fabulous, and especially on their wedding day!

Wedding makeup

For our wedding I originally had myself, 6 bridesmaids, and our moms getting our makeup done. When it got closer to the wedding, I added on my husband's cousin as she was flying in from CA, was doing a speech for us, and is very close to us so I wanted her to be apart of our entire day. I was able to get the venue to open up a half hour before our original time to ensure we had enough time to get everyone ready and Dee had no problem adding on another person since she had time to prepare. Being that we had 10 people to get makeup done and a pretty tight time frame, Dee brought a second makeup artist. Both were very professional and worked with each person's style. My mother in law never wears makeup, ever, and wasn't sure if she had too much on. Both artists talked with her and came up with a plan where she would feel comfortable and would still look good in pictures. Everyone loved their makeup and it lasted all night! We had my mother in law with the most natural looking all the way up to very dramatic makeup and everyone's looked perfect! My one eyelash started to lift after some crying (Dee suggested having cue tips to blot the duct to prevent too many tears but I didn't have them in that moment), but was easily pressed back on and lasted the rest of the night!

Amazing! Dee is so talented and knowledgeable. She helped make me look and feel so beautiful on my wedding day!

Dee was absolutely amazing!! She was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had during the process. I love the fact that she uses products that are never tested on animals, and also that she donates part of her earnings back to animal shelters. She is so knowledgeable regarding makeup and skincare and truly knew how to make me look absolutely amazing on my wedding day. Dee was punctual, and comes equipped with all the tools to help make a bride look stunning. I had my trial with Dee, and knew right away that she was going to be my makeup artist. She was my first trial and my last. She also did my mother, mother in law, sister, and bridesmaids makeup. And everyone LOVED her work! We all felt like models! I would hands down recommend Dee to everyone.

Dee is THE BEST!! I booked her almost a year and half in advance.. and the experience has been one of the best ones. I regularly don't wear that much makeup.. but I wanted to look special on my day. She doesn't use airbrush (which to me is the best!). I wanted something natural yet glamorous so Dee did a soft glam look and it was perfect! All the products that she used felt good on my skin and I never felt heavy.. the makeup lasted all day long and I didn't need to retouch.
Dee was on time, super organized, clean and very energetic! We were 5 people in total.. she made sure that all of us were happy with our makeup and listened to all of our comments and made us feel super comfortable.
Overall I had an amazing experience with Dee and I felt beautiful on my wedding day!! THANK YOU DEE!!

I was extremely satisfied with mine and my girls’s makeup for my wedding day. Dee was very easy to work with. Her talent in transforming your look was impeccable! She worked on each girl’s facial features and enhances them to make us look fab and glammed up. Our makeup stayed all day long even after I danced the night away. At the end of the day, my makeup was still intact and was still able to take several photos with our official photographer. Dee was very professional, she arrived on the agreed arrival time at the hotel, worked on 6 girls very efficiently and finished on time. I loved working with her, one of the easiest vendors I’ve dealt with. She also helped me get a hairstylist which I also hired and had been raving about. Thanks so much Dee for making me and my girls beautiful on my big day!! Ladies, if you want to look your best on your wedding day or any special occasion, hire her! You won’t regret that decision, because I didn’t.

Deirdre (Dee) of Deeva Beauty is a fun and creative make-up artist, but one that takes her work as seriously as you’d want one to for a special day! She listens to your wants and reads your personality for the perfect look -and feel!- for you!

I used Dee for my wedding day and would hire her again in a heartbeat! I had a large bridal party and she brought a secondary artist — they both worked efficiently while still making everyone feel at ease and look truly their best!

I was originally drawn to Dee because of her vegan and cruelty-free products and how she gives back to the animal community, but stayed for her talent and artistry!

Would recommend Dee and her team to anyone looking to look and feel their best!

Dee did my makeup for my bridal shower and did an amazing job!! I am usually very picky when it comes to makeup and typically have the makeup artist change at least ONE thing but Dee got it perfect on the first try! Very personable and professional. Would def recommend to friends and family!

I am a very picky person when it comes to makeup application for special occasions. The fact that I am also an indecisive person, makes being picky, even worse. I generally tend to do my own makeup for every function that I attend. For my own wedding however, I did not want to deal with the hassle of not being able to make up my mind and hoping that I didn't run into any issues when applying the makeup myself. I wanted to have a stress free day. Choosing Dee as my makeup artist was just the thing that I needed to keep my mind at ease. I found Dee while searching through bridal sites online. Her portfolio was what grabbed my attention because it showed the level of expertise she possessed. I am glad that I decided to book a trial with her because I was able to see that not only was she professional when it comes to her business, but she was also a fun and patient individual who loves her job and I can honestly say, she is terrific in her artistry work. I told her exactly what I thought I wanted at the trial and she started off little by little, adding more as we went on. I winded up changing my mind the day of my wedding but that was no challenge for her. She made me feel and look so beautiful and I can't thank her enough. My experience with Dee and her team was amazing. She was very responsive since the time I contacted her for an initial consultation through my wedding day. I reached out to her more than a few times after I booked her for my wedding because plans on how many people were getting ready with me kept growing. I had a large bridal party to start and then family was also getting ready with me so in the end, we had 12 adults including myself + 1 junior bridesmaid who needed to be ready within 4 hours! I made a schedule between hair and make-up and one of my bridesmaids kept everyone on track the day of the wedding. It was stressful leading up to the wedding because I wasn't sure if we were going to pull it off but everything worked out perfectly and we had time to take pictures with the photographer before we had to leave the house. My make up was absolutely stunning and most of it stayed for the majority of the day. I asked Dee what brand and color lipstick she was using on me for the wedding so I could purchase it myself for touch ups throughout the day and I highly recommend you do that! Dee is very organized and appreciates an organized bride so if you're on a tight schedule just talk to her and you will be able to make it work! You will look beautiful and she will listen to all your needs and concerns. I highly recommend DeeVa Beauty!

From my trial to the day of, Dee was great to work with. My makeup looked perfect, and held up all day through my tears (lashes and all)! She brought a second artist (Lucy) and I know everyone was very happy with how their makeup turned out. Dee and Lucy had everyone looking and feeling gorgeous! I had a very difficult time getting quick responses for make up trials. Not only did Deeva Beauty quickly respond, but she set up a phone appointment to find out about our wedding style, how I normally do my make up, my skincare routine, and what I envisioned myself to look like on my wedding day. I thought I loved my wedding trial make up, but honestly the day of wedding make up totally blew the trial away. Absolutely gorgeous. I felt amazing and so did all my girls. I just want to tell you that I am so happy with how my makeup turned out. I was nervous having it done professionally because I tend to be picky and have very fair, freckled skin as you noticed. Thanks to you, all of those worries became trivial. You gave me a glamorous look without making it overwhelming which was exactly what I wanted. From the trial to the wedding day, you helped make everything feel calm and smooth. With everything else I had going on, I really appreciated you checking in with me every so often to make sure I was doing okay and not stressing as to not allow myself to break out! Also, I loved your reminders for me to stay hydrated so my skin looked healthy! You truly went far and beyond any makeup services I could have hoped for. The trial made me feel comfortable that I would be happy with the turnout on the wedding day, and I had no skin reactions. The makeup was felt so light, I forgot I had any on at all. As for the wedding day, you did exactly what all of my girls wanted with their makeup. Most of them rarely wear makeup, so they were a bit nervous. I have to say, all of them said that they loved the way that they looked and felt comfortable with wearing it all night long. Before finding Dee, I was referred to another makeup artist and after my trial with that artist, I was not sold on their abilities. I contacted Dee among other artists and when she got back to me (which was very promptly), and when I asked her if she did airbrush she took the time to explain to me why she did not and I was impressed so I booked a trial. I was very happy with my trial so I decided to book Dee for wedding day for myself, all of my bridesmaids, my mom and my groom's mom. I was absolutely thrilled with the way everything turned out, I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day! My new husband loved my look, and I go so many compliments throughout the day, including "you look like a supermodel!". We just got our digital proofs from our photographer and a short trailer from our videographer and I love the way I look! I think that my mom, his mom, and my 8 bridesmaids' makeup came out great too, I was absolutely thrilled and so were they!

I had a truly amazing and stress free experience! My make up was exactly how I envisioned it would be, it stayed throughout my whole wedding without a problem. Deirdre was incredibly accommodating, she came at 6 AM because my wedding started at 9 and did all of my bridesmaids make up which also came out beautifully. I would use her services again without a question. I also loved who she recommended for hair, Jeanine gave me exactly what I asked for and it also stayed throughout my wedding day. I had a wonderful experience with Deeva Beauty make up and hair services. I wanted the perfect make up artist and hair stylist for my wedding day and I searched around for prices and information for quite some time. I was not impressed by anyone until I came across Deirdre with Deeva Beauty. Let me paint a quick picture for you. Its a month before my wedding, I have a million things to do, I am stressed out to the max, and I had no one to do hair and make up for myself, my mom, and my bridal party. I came across the Deeva Beauty website and I sent an inquiry explaining my situation. Well to my surprise Deirdre called me back almost immediately. It was really amazing. I booked my trial for both hair an make up and hair and when I went to Deirdre's in home studio I was very warmly greeted by her and her furry friends! I was very happy with my make up trial. After my make up was done I got my hair done by the lovely hair stylist, Jeanine, who was so friendly and nice to talk to. Needless to say I was very happy with both services and booked them for my wedding. It was the best choice I could have made. They were precise and on time the day of my wedding. They even got to the venue before me! Both Deirdre and Jeanine are very professional yet they are the kind of people who you want to be around and be friends with. Your wedding day is so important and they both really make you feel that way, which is really nice. My wedding day was very hot and humid and my ceremony took place outside. I thought for sure all of our make up would melt off and our hair would come out but neither of those things happened. Both hair and make up stayed all day and night! If you are looking for great, friendly, people who are excellent at what they do to do your hair and make up for your wedding then you should look no further than Deeva Beauty. I really cannot say enough good things about these two ladies! Book them you will not regret it!

I called Dee because I seen she had great reviews when I searched makeup artist in West Orange. She was able to accommodate us with only two weeks till my mother's wedding. She did an absolutely phenomenal job at the trial and the day of the wedding. She followed up until the day of the wedding, was early the day of and made the bridal party and especially the bride feel like a true Queen. My mother looked absolutely beautiful and stood out from everyone in the room with glow Dee was able to enhance as every women should the day of their wedding! Thank you for all your work Dee.

I don't know where to start with Dee.
She is absolutely amazing! My experience with her started with the trial. I felt so comfortable talking to her about anything and everything. From talking to her I knew she was caring and passionate about her work, so I hired her! Because of my tight budget, I had originally scheduled to have makeup done for my mom, my 2 bridesmaids, and myself at her studio, but at the last minute I had to ask her to come to my place instead. She was so sweet and understanding about my situation and didn't give me a hard time. She sent me an e-mail on how to prepare for the wedding day (so helpful). The day of, she kept me updated on where she was and at what time she would arrive. Which she arrived on time and finished ahead of time! My mom and my girls looked stunning. She took into account what everyone liked and what colors they wanted. The makeup stayed put during the formal photo shoot (outdoors: warm and sunny day) and during the reception (while dancing). Just to be more specific, the eye shadow stayed didn't smudge, the mascara didn't run, my eyelashes stayed put, and my eyebrows stayed on (she had to fill them in since I barely have any).
I know this a big lengthy, but I just want all brides to know that Dee is very professional, attentive, flexible, and will do a great job. She was one of the nicest people I encountered throughout my wedding process. She won't disappoint.

I hired makeup and hair services through DeeVa Beauty for my wedding on April 30, 2016. Deirdre did my makeup and through her I worked with Jeanine for my hair. I could not have asked for a better team. Both were very professional, assuring, and there for me. My makeup was flawless and I received so many compliments. My hair was perfect and Jeanine was so calm, cool, and collected! Both ladies were so great! I finally got my wedding photos back and my makeup looks amazing! Thank you Dierdre for doing a wonderful job on my makeup. My friends and family who also used your services were very happy with their as well.

Dierdre took the time to do a makeup trial in her own beauty studio in her house and really put thought into what colors would looks with my eyes and skin tone etc.

When I was looking for a makeup artist I did a lot of research online. I was looking for an artist but not a salon.
I read a lot of reviews and they helped me to find an artist that I would be happy with. DeeVa Beauty, or Deirdre, did a great job.
My wedding was on September 26th. Beautiful season! And I wish for all the Brides that their wedding will be just as perfect as mine.
Many things could go wrong: makeup, hair, flowers, weather but it didn't. And for one of those things I would like to thank Deirdre.
I didn't have a big bridal party so it was easier for me just to drive up to Nutley to DeeVa Beauty studio. I've met with Deirdre twice: for trial and the actual wedding, and both times it was very pleasant to work with her. On my trial I told Deirdre the color family I normally use for my eyes and lips and I was surprised to hear that that was one of her first choices she wanted to use on me. I loved the final look and looked so glamorous! That was the day of my Bridal shower as well and I got lots of complements from my girlfriends. But on my wedding day I changed my mind at the very last minute and decided to go with a more natural look and was afraid it will make my artist a bit upset since she had all her stuff ready to repeat what I asked for first time.
But Deirdre didn't even blink!!! Her only concern was just to make me happy!
She kept saying "It is your day and I want you to feel special on it". I was very happy, especially because I have an oily skin and I was afraid the makeup wouldn't hold on through the day. But my face looked perfect for the whole day and all I had to do is apply some lipstick every once in a while.
I would like to mention that besides Deidre's professionalism I like how diligent and responsible she is. I was getting email confirmations and a reminders from her after phone conversations and before my appointments. Deirdre assured me that everything was going to be just perfect and it was!

I just want to thank Deeva Beauty for making me feel like the most beautiful bride! I was 100% pleased with how my make up turned out and don't feel that I could have looked any better. Deirdre and Jeanine were wonderful to work with and made my wedding day as special as it should have been. My skin looked flawless and my eyes POPPED. My make up style is a bit more dramatic and glamorous then the average bride and she nailed it. People raved about how good I looked and it was truly because I felt beautiful. Dee is very skilled and has lots of experience so she not only did my make up but also help me with details that I had no knowledge of like timing on the morning of the wedding. She kept my large bridal party right on track and we were all ready in time! Jeanine did my bridal party's hair and everyone was extremely happy with their up-dos. We had head pieces as well and she knew exactly how to work with each individual to make them look and feel pretty. I highly recommend Deeva Beauty for your make up and hair team!!

Dee was wonderful from our trial to the day of my wedding. I felt so beautiful and got so many compliments on how I looked. Dee puts you at ease, very calm with a good sense of humor and so easy to work with. I didn't need to direct her in any way- she just naturally knew what to do to bring out my best features but never made me feel like I had too much makeup on. I would highly recommend her to anyone and I would love to use her again if I ever go anywhere special!

Dee and Jeanine were everything I wanted and needed for my wedding day. They were professional, on-time, sweet, friendly, patient, flexible, and fit in perfectly with my bridal party. Everyone's hair and makeup was complex and still came out absolutely perfect! I had the EXACT look I wanted for my hair and makeup, and their talents exceeded everyone's expectations.

I felt as though their pricing was reasonable when I first met with them. Post-wedding I can justify every single dollar spent. I love them and would absolutely use them again for for any occasion. I would recommend them to everyone!

Amazing!! Between the trail she put the makeup on little by little to see how glamorous I wanted to be to the follow up to make sure everything was in place to finally the actual day where I changed my makeup picture!! Dee was amazing so easy going and worked with my mom who is very tough and she loved it! My makeup lasted all night with my crazy dancing. Most important my now husband saw me and cried!! I just can't say enough about the quality and just how amazing dee is with makeup. I don't live in the area, but if I ever need my makeup done I will def make the trip to her!!

I was thrilled with the hair and make-up services provided by DeeVa Beauty. I used their hair and make-up services for myself and my bridesmaids for my wedding on 9/12/15. Dee is a top notch make-up artist. She is kind, professional, and on time. I loved how my make-up was done and it stayed on all night long. Jeanine was absolutely wonderful, I had a hair style in mind and she was able to replicate exactly what I wanted. Jeanine was professional, easy going, and fun. Dee and Jeanine were wonderful and did an amazing job on my wedding day. Dee listened to all my concerns carefully and covered an unwanted facial birthmark perfectly as well as perfected my eyebrows which I'm very particular about! She also did my mother's makeup beautifully.
Jeanine recreated the hair style look I wanted with no trouble at all and even helped me buy a fabulous hairpiece by recommending me to a local jewelry store.
I highly recommend these ladies for your wedding or big event! They make you look beautiful!

Deirdre did an amazing job on my makeup! I had gone back and forth looking for an artist who wasn't going to make me look like a clown on my wedding day. I hate when the makeup artists make you sit for an hour while they cake on the makeup and make me look plastic. She did not do that! She was relatively fast for my wedding makeup. The makeup felt light which was very important for my hot august wedding. After dancing the night away my makeup lasted the entire time! I was very impressed with the quality of work I received and I highly recommend choosing Deirdre for your wedding makeup.

My wedding day started out not so great because of a cranky hair stylist (not from Deeva Beauty!) but Deidre's positive energy helped to turn it all around. She was calm and understanding and even stayed an hour later than scheduled to make sure that every girl looked perfect. I was a little worried about how the false lashes would look because I usually wear very little makeup, but they were awesome! And the makeup stayed on through all the happy tears I shed that night. Deeva is a #1 choice!!

Dee was great!!! The trial was fun and she asked for any input afterwards. After giving her the details of what I wanted, she nailed it on my wedding day!!!!! I received so many compliments! I was hesitant about lashes too because I normally like a more natural look but she assured me it would look classy and natural. She was right! I am so glad I was able to fully trust her and I couldn't have asked for a better makeup artist. 100% recommended!!!

Dee was so great to work with. She really devoted a lot of attenton to myself and my mom during our makeup trials. My mom had a bad trial with a makeup artist we used for my sisters wedding so it was very important to us that she have a trial with Dee. Dee was comfortable to work with and listened to everything we wanted. The day of the wedding she was on time at my house and it was so nice to have her on location instead of me being in another place the day of my wedding. She even worked with us days before the wedding when I changed her time of arrival. She was always available via phone and email. I was so impressed with the quality of makeup she used. I am a classic bride and when she showed me my finished product I was extremely satisfied. I didn't feel like I was covered in layers of makeup and she enhanced my natural features so well. I didn't look like someone I didn't recognize and I felt authentic and beautiful. My photos were stunning and the makeup lasted my entire event. Furthermore, I felt like her prices were very reasonable and did not break the wallets of my bridal party. I highly recommend her!

Thanks Deirdre and Lillian very much! My husband was amazed by the makeup and hairdo and actually almost everybody who saw me loved it too.
The overall experience was great.
Deirdre responded very quickly to all my emails and arranged everything very fast which was very important in my case, since I contacted her less than a week before the ceremony.
I needed to be ready by 11.40 am and I was all set by 11.40 am!!! It was wonderful!

This last event was not my first with Deirdre of Deeva Beauty. I felt extra pampered, glamorous, and beautiful!, Deirdre is very professional, punctual, listens to yous suggestions but also adds special touches to enhance your beauty. I looked like a movie star in my own natural self! Dee Mahon from Deeva Beauty was a true pleasure to work with! With planning a wedding, I was feeling very overwhelmed, and I started to panic about booking a Make-up artist. I had my make-up done in the past for prom years prior, and I was always disappointed with how my make-up turned out. Therefore, for my wedding, I was even more nervous about booking a Make-up artist. I found Dee Mahon from Deeva Beauty through my photographer (Al Ojeda Photography). I read her reviews online,and glanced at her work. I was impressed with what I saw, and contacted her right away. Dee was very professional, and responded back to me right away. She was very personable too, and we spoke on the phone about our common interest- animals. Being impressed with her work, and knowing that she was just as much of an animal lover as I, I booked a trial with her. I went for my trial and had such a wonderful time, and can say I was completely impressed with how I looked. I told Dee I wanted to look glamorous while still looking like "myself" and she knew exactly what I wanted. She nailed the look I was hoping for! I booked Dee for myself, my bridal party, mom, and aunt for my wedding day. Dee came to my parents' house the day of my wedding. She brought a second make-up artist with her to ensure everyone's make-up was completed in a timely manner. Everything ran smoothly on the day of my wedding, and everyone looked absolutely beautiful. Everyone was raving with how wonderful their make-up came out, and we all got many compliments at my wedding. The make-up lasted the whole day and night even through the summer heat! Hiring Deeva Beauty for my make up for my wedding was an excellent decision!!! Deirdre was very professional, responded to all of my needs, and made the preparations such a positive experience for my bridal party and I!! I had a very large bridal party---8 girls, my mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, and myself---that all needed make up. Deirdre and her assistant worked efficiently and paid attention to detail even when there were many people that needed their make up done that morning.

Even though preparations were early, our make up lasted all day!! The girls had their make up done between 8-10am and I had my make up done around 10:00am. My wedding was at 3:00PM and the party lasted until 11:00pm. When I was searching for a make up artist I knew I would need a professional that used products and applied them so that they lasted all day. Deeva Beauty made it happen!! Even though it was a hot day I did not have a single issue with my make up!! It lasted from the morning through the entire day of photos, dancing, and more until 11:00pm! This was a relief as I did not want to spend my day worrying about my make up.

I would highly recommend Deeva Beauty for anyone looking for a professional make up artist for their special day!!!

Just because there are two grooms doesn’t mean you don’t need a professional hair and make-up for your wedding. Think about all those pictures without any cover-up! Plus, it makes any women in your wedding party very thankful. Deirdre Mahon from DEEVA Beauty transformed all the women in our wedding party to walking works of art.

Deirdre is so great at what she does. Even before the big day, Deirdre reached out to each of the women to introduce herself and to have a conversation about what each of the ladies were looking for and if there were any special needs required. She even followed up with each of them, giving great tips to follow for the night before and day of the wedding. Who does that?

Deirdre and the lovely Lillian who did the hair for the big day were very professional and extremely adaptable to their surroundings. Our suite which had fabulous natural lighting was perfect for them to perform at their very best. It became a tad bit crowed as the afternoon progressed with all the men and women of the wedding party along with two photographers and two videographers but these two women weren’t faded in the least. Both were so focused at their work, they could have been in the middle of a sharknado and still create the Sistine Chapel of make-up and hair!

After the women were gorgeous, it was the grooms turn. I know, I know…men wearing make-up? Please! Deirdre made us look as natural as coming out of a swimming pool but with absolutely no blemishes. It was awesome! Everyone is nervous about what they look like on their wedding day, men and women, but Deirdre took out her make-up brushes and brushed it all away.

Lastly, we applaud Deirdre’s advocacy of human and animal rights that are as intense as her work. Deirdre gives a percentage of what she makes for every make-up application to protect the abused and abandoned animals of the world.

Deirdre was prompt with all inquiries throughout the planning process and matched me with the perfect hairstylist for my needs. She was helpful and informative with some skincare issues I had as well and just seemed genuinely interested in making my day perfect. She and her hair stylist arrived on time and got myself and all my girls hair and makeup done on time.
They arranged a timeline for the day and stuck to it, all while taking time with each girl making them feel special and pampered.
Not a hair out of place all day and makeup lasted thru tears and dancing. I love the way my skin looked. Flawless and natural.

I was extremely anxious on my wedding day and by the time I left Dierdre's studio, my nerves were calmed. Not to mention that I looked so glamorous. She was very accommodating, affordable, and flexible. I could not have had such a flawless day without the care of Deirdre. I am an eye makeup girl and apparently so is she. I'm not at all one to write a review (come to think of it, this may be my first lol) but considering this is in regards to one of the most important days in your life I thought I should share my experience. First off, so you know my wedding was March 1, 2014 therefore this is a current review. Having a make up and hair artist come to you on that day is fantastic because it relieves so much stress of having to go somewhere and then going back to get ready. I went to the trial thinking "this will most likely be one of many to try" I was beyond surprised at the results, the quality of the make up and ability of Deirdre to know exactly what I wanted by me saying "something natural, not jersey shore" was amazing. She did not do a cookie cutter job but tailored it to my face, eyes, lips etc.... However I, like many others attempted to find another to compare and maybe to find cheaper (side note I did just in case give a deposit to her) I will say that my experience with someone else was HORRIBLE! My face looked like I was a fairy with nothing but gold shines and sparkles. I even asked if she could add some false lashes to make my eyes pop and she had no idea what they were! I called Deirdre (Deeva Beauty) to see if she was available and thank god she was. My make up on the big day stayed all day straight through to the end of the evening. My make up did not run or wear off! I got so many complements on how perfect my make up was and because of that the pictures that I will now have for a life time are amazing. I know weddings are expensive but you really have to think about the fact that your make up is what makes you look beautiful. It is so important to feel and look beautiful that day! And afterwards the only thing you are going to have from that day is pictures. So not paying a little more for quality is not an option. Don't forget that these people travel too! I will be forever grateful to Deirdre for making me look amazing and feel amazing that day!!!

I started my search for a makeup artist by going to Craigslist since the price was unbeatable and the overall price of our wedding just kept on creeping up and I was trying to save wherever possible- that was a nightmare! After that trial I realized that I couldn't skimp on a makeup artist since my tight budget would be a temporary situation but my pictures would last a lifetime.

Thankfully I found Deidre and she was amazing! She took the time to understand my skin needs and know my personality to know my comfort level. She also did my wedding party (8 people + bride) which was great because everyone had different complexions, skin types and comfort levels but she was able adjust seamlessly. All the girls, including myself, felt beautiful and loved her work. Her work ethic is incredible and I definitely plan on being a repeat customer. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for professional makeup services.

I had a larger bridal party and had 10 girls total getting their makeup done and she handled the day with ease. She is professional and does amazing work. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome of my makeup the day of my wedding. She made me look and feel so glamorous and I got so many compliments on my makeup! My bridesmaids, mom and mother in law looked amazing! The quality of her products and work speaks for itself. I can't wait to use DeeVa Beauty again for another event!

Dierdre did my make up for my engagement ceremony in June. She was very professional and thorough with her techniques. Being of south Asian descent, she was able to cater towards my skin complexion and nature and texture of my skin. She knew that it was going to be a stressful day for me so she made sure to do the make up accordingly. I was very satisfied with her choice of colors to compliment my Indian outfit, Having very oily skin, Dierdre made sure that my make up lasted the whole day. Deirdre did an amazing job on my makeup! She arrived to my house on time and got started quickly. She works efficiently and professionally. I have had my makeup done a few times with DEEVA BEAUTY and each and every time I have been very pleased. I first found Dee when I decided at the last minute to get my makeup professionally done for my engagement shoot. I am pretty good at doing my own makeup so I thought this would be ok to do my own, but had read an article online that everyday makeup and makeup for photography are so different. I’m so glad I read that article and found Dee. I was so pleased with her personality, professionalism, and her work that I booked with her that day to do my makeup for my wedding day to make sure I had my day secure, and then came back a few months later for my wedding day makeup and hair trial. Again, so pleased.
But I tell you, the actual day of my wedding, I looked at myself and was just simply blown away.
Hair and makeup looked even better than at trial. I have since used her for two events. I now consider her my ‘go to’ makeup person whenever I need to look fabulous and have my makeup last all day. It’s comforting to know I have her and Lillian to make me look glamorous. In fact, I’m thinking of doing one of those lingerie shoots…maybe. I know I will look great, just have to get up the courage.
Oh, and I love how she helps the animals with her passion for giving back too!

I was extremely happy with choosing Deeva Beauty for the makeup for my wedding. Never having professional makeup done before, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was a bit nervous, not knowing what look to pick. Deirdre was wonderful with providing a trial and came up with the perfect makeup combination for me. Before the wedding, she also touched base to confirm everything again, which put me at ease, knowing nothing would go wrong that day. The day of my wedding, the makeup came out better than I had ever expected! I received soo many compliments and it lasted throughout the entire day. My pictures came out beautiful as well. She also did the makeup for my mother, who had never gotten professional makeup done as well. She couldn't stop talking about how great she looked and felt that day.
I will definitely refer her to friends and family in the future :)

I had read some great reviews about Deeva Beauty, so I went to the website, and was blown away by the before and after pictures. Then I noticed the link called "For the Animals." I am also an advocate for shelter animals, so when I saw how much support Deirdre gives to this cause, I couldn't schedule my trial fast enough!
I was really happy with the way my makeup turned out for my trial, but it would be an absolute understatement to say that I loved my make up on my wedding day. Deirdre handed me the mirror when she was done, and I had to put it down right away because I almost started crying tears of joy as soon as I saw my reflection. I can honestly say that I have never, in my life, felt more beautiful. After the wedding ceremony, I lost count of how many people commented on the look on my groom's face when I walked down the aisle. He couldn't stop telling me how gorgeous I looked.
My mom has been unhappy in the past with the way her makeup had turned out, after having it done professionally. But she absolutely loved the look that Deirdre created for her this weekend. I wouldn't have changed a thing about the way my makeup looked, I felt flawless. My skin is always so oily, and Deirdre even managed to apply my makeup in a way that prevented me from looking 'shiny' in my pictures. I cannot say enough about how happy I was with her services, and how absolutely stunning I felt. Deirdre was a true professional, and followed up with me about everything in a timely manner, which was great since things were so hectic in the last few days before the wedding.
Deirdre, thank you for making me feel unbelievably beautiful, for the happiest day of my life!! And it is a great feeling to know that the money I spent for my make up will also go to such an amazing cause. I will recommend Deeva Beauty to anyone I know who needs to get their makeup done for a special occasion. Deirdre is amazing at what she does!!

Deirdre was so attentive & compassionate. I had a major snow storm the day before my wedding which I know put a lot of vendors on the verge of cancelling on me. She called to see how I was holding up instead. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. A lot of people would have called to cancel or say negative things but she just put my mind at ease & told me not to worry, that she would be there! Talk about putting a smile on my face. :) Not to mention the beautiful make-up that she did for me & my wedding party. She even wowed one of my girls who happens to be "majorly picky" lol. Deeva Beauty was a life saver! I had waited until the last minute to book a make up artist, and Deirdre was there to save the day! She did the most amazing job. My make up lasted the entire night without wearing off, even when crying! She is very professional and reliable! My wedding was 3 days after Hurricane Sandy hit and Deirdre still made it out and worked so hard to make everyone look beautiful!
If you want quality make up done at a reasonable price, go with Deirdre at Deeva Beauty. My make up and the bridesmaids' make up was gorgeous!

Diedre was amazing....... Post Hurricane Sandy, I had given up on hair and make-up as my predetermined stylists could not make it. Diedre stepped in and also recommended Angela for my hair. Dee took a look at my wedding saree and adjusted make-up to match. She ensured the make-up lasted all day and gave me tips to prevent any distortion. Extremely accommodating, she finished my make-up with time to spare for dressing before the photographers came in. She transformed me from my regular look to that of a princess on my special day! I cannot thank her enough for all her skill and expertise! To all prospective brides, you cannot go wrong with Diedre, she rocks!!!
Now, when I look at the pictures, I know that Dee was absolutely correct in deciding colors which looked best in a photograph. And I feel doubly good that in choosing Deeva Beauty, I indirectly helped an animal in need. Thanks a ton, Dee!

I decided I wanted to get professional makeup services done for my engagement photos. 2 days before the shoot, I found DEEVA BEAUTY online and emailed Deirdre to see if she could do my makeup. The very next morning, Deirdre called me and we discussed what I wanted and she inquired about facial products and makeup. She was really professional and agreed to do my makeup. At my trial run Deirdre asked a lot of questions of me to make sure that she achieved the "look" I wanted for my wedding day. The trial went great and we had such a fun timel. Dee was awesome! From the trial makeup run to the real deal, she made me feel confident that I would look great for my wedding day! She reallys shows that she loves what she does and has lots of pride in her work. On the day of the wedding, Dee arrived on time and took part in the pre-wedding celebrations as if she were part of the family - which made me feel great!
