Deerfield was the most perfect wedding venue. The staff went above and beyond to make our day special. From the start, Lizette was so helpful in making sure we had everything we needed during our planning process as well as leading up to the big day. On our wedding day, Ryan made sure that everything was going as planned and eliminated any stresses that I had. Would recommend this venue again and again! -

Had the best day!
I truly can’t say enough great things about our entire experience with Deerfield. With the volume of weddings Deerfield does, they’ve perfected a seamless and well thought out process and experince for couples.
Lizette sold me so quickly on DF! She is phenomenal. She had amazing communication throughout and answered all of my (many!) one-off questions with patience and clarity.
When it came time to transition to our day-of coordinator, Wendy, it didn’t feel like anything was dropped. Wendy was organized and took the time to understand our timeline and vision. She and her team were so helpful, especially with coordinating with my florist and personal day-of coordinator for setup.
On the wedding day itself, everything was great! And the food was amazing! So many compliments from our guests. The timeline was executed as planned and Wendy constantly checked in to ensure we were okay and up to date with how the day was playing out. She runs a tight ship. The team also did an amazing job breaking everything down for me and keeping things organized for us to pick up the next day.
The entire Deerfield team made sure me and my husband, our families, bridal party and guest were well taken care of. I’m so grateful to Lizette, Wendy, and everyone at Deerfield for helping to make our day so special!! -

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
My husband and I recently got married at Deerfield in early November. The grounds are beautiful as they sit upon White Clay State Park. They made for the most picturesque outside ceremony.
The ballroom is beautiful. Big windows, very spacious, and more recently updated than most golf clubs I’ve seen!
THE FOOD. The food was GREAT! From the hors d’oeuvres at the cocktail hour to the sit-down dinner. Everything was delicious and spectacular!
The coordinators are so helpful and responsive. They walk you through every detail of your special day. They also make sure everything is the way you want it so you don’t need to worry about anything the day of. -

Growing up in the local area, we were always familiar with Deerfield. After attending multiple expos and exploring different options, the professionalism and ease working with the Deerfield staff, especially Lizzette Kennedy, was unmatched. Lizzette, our wedding manager, made this entire process so smooth, simple, and fun. The communication, professionalism, and energy from Lizette made our experience so much more fun and engaging. From meetings to discuss our options and desires, to food tastings and coordinating the big day, Lizzette and the Deerfield staff went above and beyond to make our day flawless. They were flexible, responsive, and were quick to act based on our needs. We are truly so grateful to have celebrated our love at Deerfield, and could not have asked for a better experience. -

Deerfield provided the BULK of what you need; food and open bar, and many more included and the price is more than fair.
Day of coordinator is a true professional and effective.
The bridal attendants are super sweet.

We had Lizette as our sales manager, she was very accommodating, responsive, there anytime we had questions, she kept every meeting and walk through on schedule. She even remembered us & our names from the first walk through to the menu tasting. We toured 10 venues and this was the best value being all inclusive & the vibe we were looking for. Everyone who was there to help, was actually helpful. Our day of coordinator was Adele, who we met a few days prior, she made sure everything was set up exactly how we requested. They even relocated our arch from the pines (ceremony location) to the ballroom as a photo backdrop for us, as we asked for. Sarah was my bridal attendant, she was great! She worked so hard to make sure we were where we needed to be and had what we needed/wanted, she was helpful with putting my veil on and helping with my dress mishaps, getting me a glass of wine whenever it was asked for, making sure champagne and hor' duerves were ready in the bridal suite for us during cocktail hour, (Sarah and Adele).
It made it so much easier that we could come back and pick up all our decor the next morning!! -

Deerfield went above and beyond
We were married at Deerfield in 2/24 and cannot recommend enough! They were professional, communicative, and well priced. The room and grounds are beautiful with ample locations for photos. Our day went so smoothly and it was 100% due to the Deerfield staff. I would not look any further! -

Amazing experience!
From start to finish, my experience with Deerfield was amazing. Deerfield is a beautiful venue and has so much to offer depending on your vision, but it’s also customizable and you can bring things in you may want! Lizette was always super responsive and very helpful via email. My day of coordinator Ryan was amazing at handling everything and bringing our vision to life. Truly could not recommend this venue and team more. All of our guests complimented the food, service, and atmosphere. Thank you guys!! -

Internally every aspect was amazing. They offer 2 bridal helpers to follow you around all night too which was so awesome (get you drinks, food, anything)
Only complaint is one of the bartenders- but I think she was a fill in for one that we originally requested. So even though she was prettt bad (rude, nasty to guests) it wasn’t the norm.

Early March Wedding
My wedding day at Deerfield was my favorite day. The venue was elegant and dignified. The staff was helpful and Angela was so gracious in helping us think through all the details. The ballroom is spacious and the windows provide a delightful ambiance to the room. I recently recommended this venue to a high school acquaintance and saw that she got married there this past month. Perfection!

It was an absolute pleasure working with the Deerfield and we loved how everything turned out! Lizette and the sales team were incredibly easy to communicate with and responsive even during some last minute changes. Our guests absolutely raved about the hors d’oeuvres and the food and service in general. Wendy (day of coordinator) was a master of ensuring everything went smoothly and the two lead assistants (Sarah and Marshaan) were extremely helpful the entire day! We were very impressed with how quickly Sarah bustled my dress as my bridesmaids had spent hours trying to figure it out before hand. We were not expecting help with bustling!
We’ve also received several follow up emails from our guests praising the Deerfield and being extremely impressed with the level of service provided. The hits of the night seemed to be the duck ravioli, the lamb chop, and the crab cake station during cocktail hour and the early cake cutting combined with the ice cream bar.
We cannot thank the Deerfield enough for all of their excellent work leading up to and during our wedding.

My husband and I got married here in December. It was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our wedding. The venue is beautiful and timeless and the food was delicious. I could write a novel about the amazing experience we had with Deerfield for our wedding. They made everything so easy, fun, and worry-free. We worked with Lizette leading up to the big day. My husband and I had no idea what we were doing, what to ask, what to consider, and Lizette made us feel comfortable as we asked questions and talked through our decisions. She's also just a total blast to be around and work with. For the rehearsal and day of the wedding we worked with Wendy, who was an absolute angel. She was so attentive to detail, took charge of making sure everything was where it should be, made it important to know exactly who our family members were, guided the entire day and made sure we were enjoying the moment as we were experiencing it instead of worrying about anything else. I also, like many of us to, have complicated relationships with parents, such as splitting the walk down the aisle with my step dad and father, and I was worried about being in an uncomfortable situation. Wendy not only found a way to relate to my concerns but thoroughly thought out every solution as to avoid anyone being hurt or confused or me being put in a difficult situation.
I haven't even begun to discuss how incredibly beautiful the venue is for the ceremony and reception! Our guests continue to bring up how stunning everything was. The ceremony was perfectly placed out by the pines, where the trees offered just enough shade for our guests to feel comfortable and not overly hot. For the reception, the ability to view the outside through all of the windows was spectacular. It felt so inviting and celebratory. And the food. My goodness the food! We attended the tasting held beforehand and we were in heaven then but everything was even more delicious the day of. Our guests were totally impressed by all of the options as well as the taste. And so were we!
Everything was absolutely perfect and we wouldn’t change one single thing. We had no concerns and everything worked seamlessly. We feel so grateful to have worked with ALL the staff at Deerfield, and so truly honored to have gotten to know Lizette and Wendy along the way. We already miss them terribly!Deerfield's reply:

After much research and consideration of other venues in the DE/MD area, Deerfield became our obvious choice due to price and value for money, location, aesthetics, professionalism & communication, etc. We lucked out by partnering with Alex as our catering sales manager, who walked us through the entire process from start to finish. However, I can tell you that ALL the staff at Deerfield are phenomenal!
Deerfield's package options include MUCH more than many other venues. We had a lovely initial tour that was packed with valuable information. From there we did the couple's menu tasting, constructed our own personalized menu from their multitude of options, had divine signature drinks and wonderful bar service, cake provided by Bing's, hotel accommodations with Courtyard Marriott (including shuttle service), and more. Deerfield definitely delivers on quality. Our friends and family still rave about the whole experience, especially the food! Not to mention the beauty... our photos were STUNNING!
Planning details for a whole year - a monumental task - was made efficient with the assistance of Alex. Most importantly - my husband and I had the wedding of our absolute dreams. 10/10 recommend!Deerfield's reply:

December 2022
After seeing Deerfield for the first time, we completely cancelled all the rest of our venue tours & decided immediately that THIS was our venue. From the beginning, Lizette was absolutely wonderful and was a huge part of our planning and preparation. She truly helped answer every question, no matter how minute or redundant my questions were. When it was time for our food tasting, Lizette made sure to make her way around to us, encourage us to try certain dishes, and helped us immediately decide our food choices! The food was absolutely EXCELLENT! The amount of compliments we received from the food was crazy. I highly recommend their lobster ravioli & champagne chicken. The portions were excellent! On the day of, the team made sure that I sat down and ate with my husband & definitely gave us reminders which was so appreciated.
We had a December wedding and Deerfield was completely decorated in the EXACT, and I mean exact, way I pictured my day. From the Christmas trees, table decor, poinsettias…it was exactly the winter wonderland I was looking for. Although we had a Christmas wedding, we had so many timeless touches that Lizette and her team helped set up and coordinate for us.
One major part of our day that really stood out to us was our private last dance. My husband and I had a private last dance while guests were lining up for our grand exit. At the end of our private dance, the Deerfield team came out and clapped for us and celebrated us. It was such a special moment!
I couldn’t be happier with our choice to book through Deerfield!! We are looking forward to visiting Deerfield for future events they host as this venue holds such a huge place in our hearts.Deerfield's reply:

The most AMAZING night - you will be so happy at Deerfield!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Deerfield. My wedding weekend was absolutely insane with multiple ceremonies, receptions, and other events as we had both Indian and non-denominational weddings held at multiple venues. From planning to execution, the Deerfield team made everything easy - the initial meetings where I barely had guest counts let alone ideas for timing, Lizette and Alex just took care of everything! Even when COVID forced us to reschedule the entire event, they took care of it easily. When it came down to crunch time, they were the ones handling all the details about decor, set-up, logistics, and keeping both me and my ceremony on schedule (even more so than my wedding planner!) They know exactly what they’re doing and our entire wedding day there ran so incredibly smoothly, even our guests commented on how flawless everything transitioned (ceremony to cocktail hour on the patio to speeches to dinner and dancing). Trust me, you will be in excellent hands! The grounds are beautiful, the ballrooms are gorgeous both during the day and night, and the staff truly care about making it the best experience you could wish for. Preparing for the wedding in another state is stressful and challenging when it sounds. The least thing that makes us feel overwhelmed is our venue. We saved a lot of time without concerning about arrangements and everything about that day. All is well organized in a very professional way at Deerfield. Managers and staffs are so friendly and passionate. Very flexible and sharp team that catch up updates and changes from us very quick. Thank you again for the hospitality! The most impressive experience that we had in Deerfield is, Respect and support to our culture and traditions. We have guests from different culture with different dining habits, They offered Halal meat and vegetarian options in the reception, also allow us to have couple of traditional foods as outside catering. We get help on finding networks(i.e. Flowers, Wedding cake, Photographer, and more) without asking for help. I received a call from a lot of talented and hardworking people to be connected when I needed. Thank you Alex for your recommendation! Deerfield is one of the best venues out there for events and celebrations in the Delaware area. They are professional event organizers with detailed menus that fit all sizes of parties. They have a great variety of food and drink options with reasonable price and not to mention the beautiful golf course for leisure. Perfect Place to Have Your Wedding
We (Austin and Amanda) had the time of our lives at our wedding. Deerfield knows how to help you prepare for your wedding, asks all the right questions, makes sure the day is exactly how you want, and executes on it flawlessly. Deerfield's day-of staff blew us away with their attentiveness to us and how focused they were on making everything just the way we wanted it. Also, in terms of pricing, Deerfield was one of most affordable venues, but was first class in all facets.

Pure perfection
Wow! Deerfield was the absolute perfect wedding venue! We had the most perfect day and their staff was more than accommodating. From the beginning with the tour, Angela was professional and answered all of our questions. She explained everything throughly with our surplus of questions! We were then transferred to the banquet team and even had a personal bridal attendant the day of. We knew we were in good hands throughout the ENTIRE planning process. Deerfield made our wedding possible and helped make the day even better than we could have imagined! Delicious food, fantastic service, beautiful venue and many options for ceremony spots! They set up inside and outside for us and we decided on an inside ceremony an hour before our ceremony start. Could not have asked for better service!!! Planning a wedding from New York in the middle of a pandemic was not easy, but Angela put us at such ease. My husband and I live in New York, but wanted to get married in our home state of Delaware. Anegla went above and beyond to help us navigate wedding planning. The first time we "toured" Deerfield was through a facetime phone call with Angela and one of our friends. We were sold on Deerfield without even seeing it in person. Anegla was always available to answer our questions over the phone or through email. She was so flexible with her time and made sure to meet with us any time we came into town.
Our day of coordinator was just as amazing as Angela. JD made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. He did a phenomenal job directing our ceremony and reception. He even made sure to remind us to eat throughout the night (trust me you will definitely need this). Deerfield is so lucky to have Angela and JD! We couldn't have picked a better place to have our wedding. -

Patient, Caring, and Amazing!
Planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic was nothing we ever expected. Angela literally held our hand every step of the way. She always remained compassionate, understanding, and very flexibly. We were both emotional saying goodbye to Angela because she was so great to us and made our lives as easy as possible during a not so ideal situation. The day of the wedding, Ryan and Wendy made sure everything went smooth and that I didn’t worry about a single thing! Wonder Team and Venue
I cannot say enough positive things about our experience working with Deerfield during our wedding planning process and the day of was absolutely magnificent. We worked with Lizette and she helped us plan every detail of the wedding and made suggestions on what we could do which we had not thought of. She was incredibly responsible to all emails and questions as we were planning in the middle of the pandemic. Ryan was our day of coordinator and again can't say enough wonderful things about him and his team. They handled all the vendors we had coming in that day and I didn't have to worry about anything and he made it so stress-free. The food was fantastic we got lots of compliments on the steak and the lamb appetizer we had. Loved Deerfield !
We can not say enough good things about Deerfield. We were so happy with our experience and they truly made our wedding day perfect. We had to postpone our wedding due to covid and finally got married in Nov 2021. They were so flexible, easy to work with, and extremely accommodating. They went above and beyond our expectations. Angela was very easy to work with prior to the wedding and Wendy and her team were amazing the day of our wedding. We highly recommend Deerfield to couples!

My husband and I planned a ~180 person wedding for November 2020. Deerfield was incredibly flexible when we had to make changes due to Covid. We were married with just our immediate family (18 people) and they treated our small intimate ceremony and luncheon with as much care and attention as they would have our big party. We were absolutely thrilled to also have a reception at Deerfield that same weekend a year later. We had ~140 guests and the space was very comfortable for that size. Lizette and Ryan were so easy to work with! They thought of everything. We could drop decorations off days in advance. Deerfield handled all set up and tear down. We wanted Christmas vibes and they ensured the country club’s decorations were up in time for our event. They coordinated with all our other vendors. We used their recommendations for our DJs and bakery and both were 10/10s. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue! (grounds and interior). The food is delicious and I would get married there a 3rd time if my husband would allow it.Deerfield's reply:

The minute we arrived at Deerfield, Alex Lento, made us feel so at home and welcome. We knew immediately that this was our wedding venue. My husband and I booked Deerfield in October 2019 only to have to reschedule our June 2020 wedding not once, but twice due to the pandemic. Though we legally got married on our original date, we finally hosted our big celebration in September 2021 at Deerfield.
We worked with Lizette as our point of contact and she was transparent, honest, and always willing to accommodate us the best she could. From all meetings leading up to the wedding and throughout the wedding day, we are so grateful to have the support and flexibility we experienced from the entire team. The spaces looked gorgeous—it was a real dream come true and a long-awaited celebration to have! I have heard many praises from the guests who attended as well--they were so pleased with the food, atmosphere and even the way the team handled dietary restrictions. My husband and I would not have been able to have our perfect "second" wedding day without the help and service the Deerfield staff gave us from the moment we signed that contract to when we left the parking lot after the reception was over. My husband and I are from New Jersey and we were looking for the perfect venue within a reasonable location. We have been to weddings at the majority of the locations in the South Jersey area and wanted a new experience. We stumbled upon Deerfield and reached out during the pandemic. Lizette and team were so gracious and helpful with organizing us for a tour and detailed overview of the venue. We instantly fell in love with the space and the many options at Deerfield has to offer. The planning team helped us immensely with taking the stress off of wedding planning. They are extremely organized and communicate well so by the time you get to your wedding day everything runs seamlessly. They have Multiple options of locations on where you can have your ceremony. We decided last second to have our ceremony in front of the gorgeous tree they have on their patio. It was perfect! They have the timing of weddings down and kept the day on track. The food was great and we received a lot of compliments on our cake as well! They even had a stage so our band could set up properly. The ballroom allows for so much space so you could essentially have any size wedding you desire. We filled out all of 22 tables and it still felt as though we had room. Our wedding was so fun and we still receive compliments today of the great time people had at our wedding and how great the staff was! They are extremely aware of cleanliness and are quick to pick up any empty plates to keep the areas nice and neat. We also were extremely grateful for the transportation services to the hotel our guest definitely used it. I would recommend the Deerfield venue and team to anyone looking for a very stress-free wedding! I can’t thank them enough!

Deerfield was simply wonderful! We hosted our wedding there in August 2021. With the pandemic there was still a lot of uncertainty but Deerfield was supportive no matter how many times the guest list changed. The ballroom was spectacular and airy. Our guests were able to dance all night long. The wedding ceremony on the back porch area was lovely. For this venue you do have to higher a dj or band for sound and do your own centerpieces for the ballroom, otherwise, they literally do everything for you! For those that have not planned a wedding yet, this is extremely important in reducing a couples stress on the day of the wedding. My other concern was that is was on a golf course and I am not a golfer. I can honestly say I did not even notice the golf course on the day of the wedding or in my wedding photos. Overall, I am thrilled with the Deerfield staff, the included wedding planner and day of coordinator, bridal attendants, and the venue itself. You can shop around like I did but I can attest that the Deerfield is the best value in Delaware and minimal work for the bride.Deerfield's reply:

This place has it all. We were really struggling to find a venue in 2020, and once we toured Deerfield we fell in love. They have a lovely outdoor space for the ceremony and first look pictures, and the ballroom is huge and full of natural light. Lizette completely put us at ease and walked us through the whole process, including multiple logistics meetings to hash out all the nitty gritty details. Never overwhelming though, they got you covered and they are there to support you.

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing our experience was with Deerfield. The decor, the space, the generous and attentive staff are just a few of the many aspects that made our day perfect.
Our event coordinator Angela helped guide us with ease through the stressful process that is planning a wedding through a pandemic. Deerfield was big enough to accommodate our wedding guests that originally exceeded 200 and the dance floor was huge and made it comfortable.
Deerfield provided us with highly recommended vendors and hotel spaces that made organizing accommodations a breeze. The hors d’oeuvres and meals were beyond delicious to the point our guests still rave about their meals weeks after the event.
My wife and I cannot stress enough how incredible the staff was. From the moment we stepped through the doors on our special day, our every need was taken care of. They organized the flow of the day exquisitely and precise. We knew where we going to be and what was going to happen so there was no stress.

Every couple wants their magical day, one to top all expectations that one could dream of for their wedding. Deerfield has done just that.
Andrew and I have been planning our wedding for 19 months. From the beginning, Angela has been nothing but amazing; answering my million and one questions and meeting with us several times to make us feel more comfortable of how our day will look and feel like. Angela was more than helpful with always a smile on her face. As we were nearing the last 6 exciting months before our wedding, we thought this is when the ball starts rolling. Where we go for food tastings, dress and suit fittings, ceremony meetings for the music and details, looking at flower arrangements and so much more. However the world had different plans; the pandemic. Nothing is more stressful than trying to plan a wedding let alone planning a wedding during a pandemic. Andrew and I's stress levels went through the roof but trying to stay as positive as possible. Angela put our minds at ease with countless conversations about what to expect with any changes, updates and state guidelines making sure we were clear on what our day will look like and how Deerfield will do whatever it took to make our day magical.
Though many weddings decided to postpone or cancel their weddings, Andrew and I made the decision to move forward with everything we have planned with the same date. Each day, week and month that passed seemed to get easier as Deerfield and Angela made sure that we were going to have the perfect day. Every phone call, meeting and detail appointment only made us more excited to share our big day with Angela, Michael and the Deerfield Staff.
I will be the first to tell anyone I am very organized, particular and have a very high expectation of how I like things to look like. Deerfield went over and beyond to make our vision come to life. From making sure our guests felt comfortable and safe with plenty of space at cocktail hour to Deerfield's staff making sure every thing was clean, making ourselves and every guest feel like they were their number one priority to making sure all state guidelines were being followed to every detail that we wanted and planned happened on our big day.
We will never forget walking into the most beautiful ballroom before our guests to see our vision come to life. We were blown away at how the Deerfield Staff put everything in place and really wowed us and our guests. Every staff member was polite and respectful, they were all eager to make sure we were taken care of as the bride and groom but made every guest have such an amazing time. There was not one moment that we felt like we were having a wedding in a pandemic, we felt like all you could feel and see was love and happiness. The Deerfield staff, Angela and Michael wasn't just part of any amazing venue but felt like part of our family. They were as happy for us as any of our guests were that day.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our dream wedding come true! A special thanks to Angela for helping us everyday up until our wedding day and to Michael who made sure everything was perfect and we were taken care of on our wedding day. Best Day Ever!
Deerfield was exactly what we imagined when thinking about our wedding. We originally planned to have our wedding in May 2020 and had to postpone it to August 2020 due to COVID.
When we were initially searching for a venue there were certain elements Deerfield had which grabbed our attention but the one which really sold the venue to us was Angela. Angela was a dream to work with throughout the whole planning process. She made it all feel easy even with covid being thrown at us a few months before the wedding. She was very flexible and worked with us on our best options for the wedding with COVID.
Michael, and the rest of the team on the day of the wedding were amazing. We got so many compliments on how nice and professional the staff were.
In terms of the venue itself, there is not much to say, the pictures speak for themselves. We can only echo the previous reviews, the property is beautiful, well maintained, and makes for amazing memories. We received so many compliments how it was one of the prettiest venues they have been to.

My (now) husband and I got engaged in July 2019. We were ahead of the game with all of our planning and we were so very excited! Then COVID-19 hit. Our original venue required we cut our 150 guest count - which was fine, especially because the count went from 80 to 100 people in a month. Unfortunately, in late November, our venue informed us that we were only able to have our ceremony - no food, no dancing.
My (now) mother and father-in-law sat us down on Thanksgiving and informed us that they had been in touch with Deerfield and we could have a mini-wedding on our original date, if that was something we were interested in.
We didn't hesitate to say yes.
In 3 weeks, with the help of Alex and Michael, who are absolutely WONDERFUL, our perfect wedding was planned. Despite only having 30 guests which included mostly of our family and bridal party, it was the best day of my life.
My husband and I have gone to several events at Deerfield - weddings, baby shower, brunch - and they, as per usual, did not let us down. No one would ever know that our wedding was planned in 3 weeks. It was everything I could have asked for and then some.Deerfield's reply:

Everything You Could Ever Want and More
We are over the moon at the experience we had planning and hosting our wedding with Deerfield. Everything was perfect from start to finish, thanks to Angela and her team. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. We were kind of nervous about a winter wedding in February, but they made sure it was perfect in every way. From the beautiful landscape of the property to the romantic feel in the ballroom.
Our search started with several of the local hot spots but from tours, to menu items nothing really captured our hearts like Deerfield. We were sold walking through the halls toward the ballroom. The beautiful atrium let in beautiful light and set the ambiance for our cocktail hour, and soft light twinkling through the windows of the ballroom cast a magical feeling for the dinner and dancing, but the Delaware artwork adorning the walls really caught us!
Angela was so patient and knowledgeable through the whole planning process. She handled my indecisiveness and provided guidance when needed like a seasoned pro, and can I just say she is so sweet and caring - just a wonderful human being. And they worked so well with our vendors and
What a beautiful landscape for pictures! When the sun was setting we got so many good shots on the course and in the ballroom with setting sun shining through the windowed room. So perfect and romantic.
Dinner was outstanding - the chef and his crew served perfectly cooked filet, flavorful, tender chicken, and of crispy tasty veggies. Oh and they have AMAZING coffee. The bar was on point, and kept people in drink throughout the evening. We were even surprised with an ice sculpture that turned out to be quite a hit with the guests!
Last but certainly not least, Michael and Ryan were amazing hosts! We were welcomed with open arms to a quiet peaceful suite with a private toast, and area to refresh and collect ourselves. Our table decor had been placed perfectly to create a breathtaking atmosphere upon entry. They kept things moving smoothly throughout the night, attending to us, our parents, and guests as if we were royalty. A special shout out goes to my son's favorite attendant, Gabby, she was so kind to cut his steak for him, and "keep his Shirley Temple's coming."
We were absolutely astonished by our experience with Deerfield and would recommend them to anyone having a wedding or celebratory event. Deerfield rocks!
We were extremely pleased with the success of our daughter’s wedding reception that Deerfield hosted on July 4th. Everything was on point including the refreshing cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres stations, the delicious dinner, the gorgeous facilities, and the attentive staff. We recognize the challenges caused by the pandemic and appreciate all that the Deerfield team did to accommodate us, to create memories for all of our guests, and to keep us safe. Our daughter and son-in-law could not have been happier with their special day as evidenced by the following Facebook comments: "Thanks for the best day ever!" and "WHAT . A . DAY! Highly recommend!
We found Deerfield after a disappointing venue fell through in terms of budget. We were hesitant visiting Deerfield and a few other similar venues. When we saw the large ballroom, we were instantly hooked! We loved the space, the amenities, and the staff. Angela was so responsive, she spelled everything out clearly, there were no hidden costs, no surprises and that was such a relief while planning on a budget! Even the day of, everything went off without any issues, the staff was phenomenal! We heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests and we are so grateful to have had our ceremony and reception at Deerfield. Please don’t hesitate to get married here. Angela was the best wedding coordinator!! She was so easy to work with and kept us informed through the whole process. The day of the wedding everything went so smoothly and the food was excellent!! Their Chef was wonderful and he made sure we had everything we needed.

wonderul experience for our winter wedding!
In looking for a wedding venue for our January 2020 wedding, it was clear that Deerfield checked every box. We were so pleased with the whole team we worked with, from Angela leading up to our big day to our day of team. They made it effortlessly easy, and we were catered to every step of the way. The team did such a wonderful job executing the day of, Gabby was a wonderful bridal assistant and always made sure we were staying on track, had time to eat, and of course that our drinks were full! As a Wedding Planner I needed to find an affordable venue that would meet all of my clients requirements, from the moment the bride and groom step inside the venue they knew they had found the it! Deerfield was perfect! a beautiful ball room surrounded by windows of the beautiful golf course, the food was delicious, the service was one of the best I have found, the team that was there to help me were incredibly efficient, excellent attitude and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to do my job, I created the decor, flowers, backdrop and centerpieces, they help me greatly through the process. I will think of them for future weddings and will recommend them 100%, if you need a beautiful venue, excellent food, service and great value, look no further.Deerfield's reply:

We may be a little biased, but Deerfield is the best wedding venue and exceeded all expectations for our wedding day. We looked at other luxury venues in the DE / PA area, and none of them compared with Deerfield. Deerfield offers a completely customizable wedding experience that allows you to select everything from the food and beverages selection, linens, seating arrangement, timeline and much more. Not to mention, the package comes with a remarkable wedding planner and day of coordinators (we especially want to thank Angela, Mike, Carmen and Jeff for making our wedding day certainly a day to remember).
We had our wedding reception at Deerfield on September 21, 2019. The ballroom at Deerfield is breathtaking! It is perfectly laid out with a large dance floor in the center. The ballroom has large windows on every wall which sets the stage for an even more romantic setting. Not to mention there is access to the perfectly kempt greens and a porch with a waterfall (which makes for a very romantic photo setting).
Instead, we want to focus this review on the unbelievable staff at Deerfield who were professional and executed everything flawlessly through the entire planning process and on our actual wedding day/night. You can tell the moment that you start planning a wedding with the Deerfield team that they have done it before and that you are in great hands. You never sense an ounce of stress or panic in their team, even when you are stressing as you come down to crunch time!
The event planning team, and we worked with Angela and Jeff in particular, are able to take all your different thoughts and ideas and construct them into a perfect vision for your wedding day. And most importantly, they are not afraid to add in their own ideas or to tell you if one of your ideas may not be the best fit for your wedding day. They are not there to just say “yes” to you, they are there to ensure that your wedding goes as smooth as possible.
The day-of event team, we worked with Carmen and Mike, are a well-oiled machine. We had not met with them until the week of our wedding, but a day or two is all they needed to make sure they understood the plan that we had laid out with Angela and to get their staff to execute that plan to perfection. When we went to check on the ballroom during our cocktail hour, we were left speechless by how elegant the place was. Throughout the night, they handled the coordination with our vendors and made sure that we kept to our timeline – which is harder to do than we ever could have imagined!
And they treat you like royalty. There was one point in the night that my husband swears he had simply thought about grabbing a gin & tonic from the bar and before he could even finish the thought Mike tapped him on the shoulder and had a gin & tonic for him. They make sure that all our guests are taken care of and they do it without being in the way or even being noticed – they are like wedding ninjas!
And in case you feel like it’s just a business to them and you are just a number – we went back there for brunch in November (which we highly recommend) and Mike, Carmen, and Jeff (the general manager) all recognized us right away and took the time to catch up with us about our wedding, honeymoon, etc. They remembered specific people and details from the evening and from our conversations that we would have never expected them to remember. It really made us feel special and made us feel like part of the family at Deerfield.
We highly recommend Deerfield for your wedding or really any event. A beautiful venue with a team of true professionals in every sense of the word.Deerfield's reply:
