When looking to get married we wanted a place that felt warm, classic but fun at the same time. We knew we wanted an outdoor option for guests as well as a ceremony site, and let me tell you the outdoor place alone is reason enough to book here! Its gorgeous, spacious, they have heaters and a giant fire pit! The ballroom was just breathtaking and the building was well taken care of, it didn't feel like an ordinary ball room.

Savannah Kelly the coordinator was just outstanding, she was so flexible, responsive, helpful and answered every single one of our questions ( and we had quite a few). She was just amazing and made what is normally a stressful situation way more enjoyable!

The weather sadly, did not go according to plan, so we moved our wedding inside and honestly it was just stunning. Savannah walked us through each and every single option and worked so well with our vendors to make it happen!

I would not change a thing about our wedding day, and I know deer creek was ( and savannah) were a big part of that!

We had our wedding here in January 2022 and it was so amazing. For start, DeerCreek is beautiful. Secondly, Savannah is such an amazing wedding coordinator. She made the experience with DeerCreek, my vendors, and the overall wedding process so easy. And needless to say, she is very sweet and helpful. Thirdly, the food was so delicious. Overall, us and everyone who attended the wedding was in love with how our special day turned out!

We are so happy we stumbled upon Deercreek Country Club. I was skeptical going into it; I thought with it being a country club the prices would be outrageous. However, they have a wide variety of options that caters to any budget.

Savannah, the venue coordinator, is amazing. She is very responsive and attentive to whatever questions/requests you may have. She is very detail-oriented and very helpful for day-of coordinating. We did not feel like we needed to hire a coordinator because we had Savannah.

Deercreek is a beautiful venue with tons of scenery, perfect for photos/videos. The clubhouse's back patio recently underwent some renovations, complete with pavers and a firepit, which is ideal for guests who may want to escape the noise of the reception.

We are so happy we chose to get married at Deercreek Country Club and would highly recommend it to anyone looking.

If you want a time to remember, contact Savannah! She is outstanding, attentive, professional, and accommodating! I honestly don’t think our wedding would have been as smooth, vibrant, and fun, without her and the amazing staff at Deercreek. Every member of the staff was very nice and attentive. They went above and beyond on every aspect of our wedding, from the initial planning stages and selecting which wedding package we wanted; to menu selection and food tasting; coordinating and accommodating two date changes due to Covid; and the list could literally go on and on. There wasn’t one time that I saw a staff member not happy to assist. At times it seemed that the staff was enjoying themselves more than the guest, which was awesome to experience. They really have an award winning crew in my opinion. All and all, my Wife and I are beyond happy that we chose Deercreek over other venues. If we had to do it again, I wouldn’t change a thing! #ATimeToRemeber

Our December wedding at Deercreek Country Club was absolutely perfect. Everything from the beautiful location to the delicious food to the amazing staff... I could not have asked for a better experience or a better value! Our wedding planner Savannah was so attentive and knowledgeable and she planned the wedding of our dreams. Savannah was amazing from start to finish. Planning a covid wedding had its challenges but Savannah and everyone at Deercreek helped make it the most perfect day! The food was amazing and the setting was beautiful!

We loved having my son’s wedding at Deercreek Country Club! Savannah Kelly was excellent to work with; she was professional and very flexible, especially during COVID times. The setting for the ceremony was lovely and the accommodations were great. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I would definitely recommend Savannah and Deercreek Country Club for weddings or other events.

Deercreek was an absolutely amazing wedding venue! The day was perfect & I couldn't have done it without them. Savannah was awesome from the beginning. We originally booked when the other coordinator was there and we were a little worried but Savannah made sure to reach out and meet in person when the change was made. We met with her and we were very impressed. Throughout the whole process, Savannah was prompt to respond at all times. We had to make some major changes due to Covid but she was able to come up with ideas to make our event go on. We also had to make last minute changes due to rain and she was helpful and accommodating. The day turned out perfect and I couldn't have imagined it any other way. The whole staff was very friendly and the wedding went so smoothly. You could tell that they all knew what they were doing!! Savannah took away the stress, was super friendly and fun to work with! I highly recommend Deercreek as your wedding venue!

We were married at Deercreek Country Club on Friday, October 9, 2020. We had a few places in mind but after meeting with Savannah Kelly, the event planner, we knew this was the place for us to say "I DO." I had so many concerns since the Covid-19 started and Savannah assured me everything would be fine. They took all precautions to keep my guest and me safe while following CDC guidelines.

Savannah was very helpful in this whole process. Everything from food tasting, return calls/emails, decoration, and constant last-minute changes, Savannah was very patient with us. As the date would grew closer she would call and say" let's go over the details to make sure I have everything you and your groom want to make sure your day is special!" I sent her my wedding colors and she said "I will handle everything from here." This process was indeed a stressful wedding planning on my part, all I had to do was show up for my special day. Throughout everything, I am so glad WE SAID YES AT DEERCREEK!

Savannah was AMAZING! If you are looking for somewhere to have your event, look no further! We had our wedding at Deercreek and from the first moment we walked in we knew we had to book with Savannah. She went above and beyond on everything. She was professional, caring, fun, helpful, took away the stress, and did SO much to make sure we were taken care of.
We were battling covid (along with other things) while planning our wedding and Savannah was constantly checking on us to see if there was anything more she could do to help. She is a wonderful communicator and I mean she does WAY more than is in her job description. She is someone who really loves what she does and it shows by her details that go into her planning and coordinating.
She was such a blessing to find and we are so grateful for her. She is someone we will never forget and we hope to be able to use her services again in the future. HIGHLY recommend her.

Deer Creek Country Club is the perfect venue for your dream wedding. We had several employees rotate after we booked and 2 of those employees were top notch! Including our last coordinator Savannah Kelly. We can not say enough about Savannah's professionalism, acceptance, patience and guidance throughout the entire process. We are a same-sex couple and that was never an issue for the venue or their staff. We were treated like royalty and highly recommend the Deer Creek Country Club for your dream wedding day!

Savannah was so easy to work with and made our wedding planning super easy. The day of the wedding she arrived early and made sure everything was set up to run smoothly and even helped us with setting up decor. The entire day went off without a hitch and she made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of the night and our gifts had a place to go. I highly recommend working with Savannah for your wedding!

This venue was beautiful, fun and perfect for my wedding. Staff was great and we had zero problems or complaints.

Great venue, Cara was flexible in allowing the bridal party to get ready in the locker room earlier than originally planned so the girls and I were able to take our pictures before the ceremony. Cara worked great with my mom and aunt (who did a lot of the planning since I no longer live in Jax) and kept in contact with my photographer and makeup artist. There was almost a slight hiccup during my wedding day due to light rain, however, they kept us calm by letting us know if the rain didn’t stop then they’d move the ceremony inside. The locker rooms and bar looked great now that they’re renovated. The guys used the upstairs room instead of the men’s locker room since the men’s locker room tends to be busier than the women’s. Even during the rehearsal, Cara gave us extra time to practice so everyone felt comfortable for the next day. These pictures are the only ones on my phone, sorry! I highly recommend this venue!

This has to be the best place in Jacksonville to have a wedding. Julie is amazing and helped us to create a very special day. Our guests are still raving about how great our wedding was and that it was the best they had been too. Everyone that worked there was so professional and I couldn't have asked for a better day, absolutely nothing went wrong.

We had the best experience with Deercreek! Julie was so accommodating, quick to respond and easy to get ahold of. They took care of EVERYTHING, from the set up/clean up, to the food and alcohol. The food is AMAZING, the set up is beautiful and they go above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly. I knew when we walked into the place that it was right for us and I was right!

JULIE IS PHENOMENAL! I can't even express in this review how perfect our wedding went - majority in thanks to Deercreek Country Club. The food was absolutely amazing, bar service was exquisite, staff was very very nice and helpful. THE BEST DAY EVER I could imagine! I couldn't have asked for anything else! Both my wedding ceremony and reception were held at Deercreek. Julie was AMAZING, from the first day I stepped in her office till the last minute of my wedding she was very helpful! Deercreek Country Club is beautiful and affordable. Julie was the best; helpful, fun and caring. Meagan was also a huge help especially the day of the wedding! They handle everything very professionally but they are so much fun to work with, they relieved me of so much stress! The food was beyond amazing and we are still getting compliments on it all as well as the servers. The servers were very prompt and extremely polite! I couldn't have asked for a better day!

If you are looking for a venue where you have a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and a vintage, old southern feel for the reception, this is the place for you. We held both the ceremony and the reception at the venue. They were both decorated beautifully. Julie, the event planner was easy to work with, insightful, and professional. She took our vision and made it come to life. Julie also coordinated “the day of the wedding”; everything went without a hitch. The staff was attentive and professional. We could not have asked for a better day. Our wedding at Deercreek Country Club was phenomenal.

I couldn't imagine having a more wonderful venue than Deercreek. Julie was an angel during the wedding planning process and throughout the day. We didn't have a wedding planner for our wedding, and I was very nervous about that at first. However, Julie was our wedding planner "for the day." She did everything a wedding planner would by helping us and our bridal party know what to do for the day. She made sure all of our vendors were on time and that everything was perfect for us.

We went to Deercreek thinking that we wouldn't book it for our ceremony/reception. However, after we had the meeting with Julie we knew it was the place for us. The venue is beautiful and they are VERY flexible. We were able to decorate however we wanted to for both the ceremony and reception. The food was AMAZING and had everyone talking. During the reception Julie made everything incredibly easy by telling us where to go, helping us with our timeline, making our plates, and giving us To-go plates at the end of the night. The entire staff was very professional and kind to us and our guests. I'd strongly recommend Deercreek to anyone who'd wonder about venues in the Jax area. The price point was lower than many of the other venues we looked at and the ceremony and reception were both as beautiful as we would ever imagine. Our day was easy, beautiful, and the food was fantastic. What more could you want!?

My wedding has a HUGE success largely for the fantastic venue and the coordinator they have, Julie Bennett! The location was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and Julie made the entire thing stress free! She was there for any questions I had, advice I needed, and coordinated everything so I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of. They have a backup plan to have the ceremony inside, which is what we ended up doing due to having a cold snap go through that day and it still was beautiful and not chaotic at all! What I really liked about the facility is that they don't nickel and dime you to death like a lot of other venues tend to do. There were no additional fees for soft drinks, no cake cutting/serving fees, and what I really loved was that I could pick from either white or ivory linens! Julie and Deercreek truly allowed me to have the perfect wedding!!

Deercreek could not have been a better choice for a beautiful spring wedding. Julie Bennett was so very nice and professional and was extremely responsive throughout the whole process and my endless questions. She can work with your budget to ensure you stay in line with your goals and the minimums for the venue were fair and one of the more budget friendly venues I looked at that offer a gorgeous ceremony area and reception.

Deercreek Country Club made my wedding day an absolute joy! The entire staff worked so hard to make our vision come to life perfectly. Julie Bennett is the most wonderful, flexible, professional woman you will ever work with. She made our wedding day, and the months leading up to it, absolute perfection. If you are looking for someone who is great with communication and exceptionally accommodating, she is the one for you! Julie is all about pleasing the bride and groom; she has done everything that we've asked, and then some. You could come to Deercreek just for her! The amazing venue and staff are icing on the wedding cake!

I was very impressed with there menu, and the overall quality of the food. They were very helpful in the planning and the venue was beautiful!

We looked at several other venues in the area, but after visiting Deercreek and meeting Julie, we stopped looking. The clubhouse is beautiful, especially with the wall of windows leading out to the huge back porch. Julie was always very responsive to our emails and phone calls and was willing to do whatever we requested to make our wedding day perfect. We received so many compliments on the food and the friendliness of the staff. The rehearsal and the wedding went so smooth because Julie and the staff are so professional. Our wedding day was perfect and I would absolutely recommend this venue for a wedding!

Deercreek Country Club was a wonderful venue for my husband and I's wedding reception. Julie Bennett and the rest of the staff at Deercreek did an amazing job not only with helping plan the event, but fulfilling all of my requests during our reception. I brought many personalized accents in to decorate the clubhouse, which Julie made sure were all arranged to perfection. The food was fabulous. We served beef tenderloin and seabass, which we received so many compliments on. It was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend Deercreek as a wedding venue.

We decided to have our Southern April wedding at DeerCreek and could not have been more pleased. When we first visited, I absolutely fell in love with the soft warm feel of the club as well as the back porch: it was the perfect setting for our cocktail hour!

When I began speaking with Julie, I knew we had to get married here because she was willing to bend over backwards to accommodate our every need. She literally said yes and found a way to make everything we wanted happen- that is so rare now as many places have so many "rules". I was an out of state bride and needed to communicate mostly by email and Julie always responded the same day.

The day of, we met early to take photos at the club, and got ready in our respective locker rooms. The scenery of the club is gorgeous and allowed us to have many beautiful pictures with multiple different backgrounds. The convenience of being able to get ready and take photos at the club beforehand was fantastic.

The staff, especially Julie and Nicola, are absolutely fantastic and the food is delicious! My guests will not stop raving about the Salmon and the squash casserole. The day of service was also impeccable.

DeerCreek and it's staff made our wedding day absolutely perfect and I can not thank them enough. I 100% recommend this venue to any couple who would like their guests to feel at home on their wedding day. I wish we could renew our vows here every year!

We could not be happier with Deercreek Country Club as our reception venue! This was the first venue we looked at and immediately knew it was perfect for us. The space is lovely, with lots of windows and natural lighting. The back porch overlooks the picturesque golf course, small lake, and tall oak trees.

The team at Deercreek was incredible, especially our events coordinator, Julie. She was so attentive throughout the planning process and helped make the space exactly what we had dreamed of. She effortlessly guided us through our timeline of events for the evening (introductions, cake cutting, etc.) and made sure we were attended to at all times. The whole evening ran so smoothly and we had an amazing time!

Amazing. They provided everything I invisioned for my dream wedding. The atmosphere is is wonderful. I had both my Ceremony and Reception at the Country Club. The only down fall is when you are having an outdoor wedding you may see golfers in the background.

PERFECT WEDDING!! Everyone was WONDERFUL to work with. Gretchen was the most amazing wedding cordinator i could have ever asked for. VERY organized. Didn't have to worry about ANYTHING. Food is GREAT!!!!! They made our day perfect and couldn't have asked for ANYTHING BETTER :)

My parents were members at Deercreek Country Club for several years so I’ve always visited the club every now and then, however, I did not consider it a potential wedding venue till they recently renovated their Clubhouse and it is beautiful!
Deercreek makes it so easy because it is an all inclusive experience- in house catering, day of coordinator, and no need to rent tables and chairs. We had an untraditional brunch wedding and my guests raved about how delicious the food was. We had items such as chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and even an omelette station! The chef was able to accommodate our custom menu and the food was one of the highlights of our wedding. We had guests going through the buffet 3 times!
The only issues I had with my wedding planning experience is that I was reassigned to 3 different event coordinators in 6 months. The hand offs went fairly well, however, it was stressful reexplaining my vision to 3 different people. In the end, Christy made my day great!
Overall, I was very happy with how my wedding turned out and would recommend it to other brides in the Jacksonville area!

Great venue! Beautifully building, fantastic staff and guests have all said how good the food was! This building and experienced staff can accommodate up to 200 guests and customize weddings and receptions of all sizes. I would recommend this venue to anyone!

The clubhouse is beatiful and Gretchen did a awesom job to make sure everything happened smoothly. Also a great value. No high-dollar minimums. Also no member sponsor needed. Loved it.

My wedding at Deercreek Country Club was amazing. The venue is beautiful and working with the on-site coordinator was a breeze. I received excellent communication throughout the whole process and Julie really worked with me to make sure my vision was executed perfectly. They were flexible with my needs (like bringing some of my own items) and we reviewed every detail very thoroughly. Julie thought ahead to any challenges I may have and worked with me to develop "Plan B" scenarios which thankfully we did not have to use. The location was easy to find, close to hotels and the menu was excellent. They even worked with some menu changes we asked for to make sure that our food was just right. I could not have asked for more on my wedding day! The only word of caution are for brides looking at daytime weddings. The wedding coming in after yours may cause some confusion and disruption at the very end of your time and you may find yourself feeling pushed out. Work with Julie beforehand on this to ensure you do not have this problem. She'll make it happen!

Event coordinator was very pleasant and helpful to work with. Guests stated that the food was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. Spacious and affordable.

Julie at Deercreek Country Club was a dream to work with. Our reception was outside on their pool deck, and we were so pleased with how it turned out! Everything was decorated beautifully, and we, along with our guests, had a fantastic time! If you book with them, you can be sure that you'll get a high level of service.

This Venue’s staff was extremely accommodating, polite, professional and courteous. They helped us pull off a wonderful virtually streamed wedding due to COVID-19 ruining our initial plans. Savannah, worked very closely with us to coordinate something simple, intimate, and special. We’re planning our Anniversary party for 2021. Our only concern was there had been flooding in the dining area. There were no signs or warnings. My Mother, daughter, and two Bridesmaids got wet. The Bridesmaids gowns got very wet. Aside from that, everything was perfect! And we’re very appreciative.

We want to preface that we had an overall incredible experience with both our wedding and planning with Deercreek. Specifically all of the staff, Food & Beverage Director Julian was INCREDIBLE and the old coordinator, Kathy made the process so smooth…up until she left less than three months before our day which was a surprise and made things a little more difficult. Now before I get into that, we loved our day so much, thought the value for money was incredible and affordable, and are so thankful for every single person involved. Everything was ultimately executed so well and the kindness we received from everyone on staff at this beautiful venue went such a long way and made the experience minimally stressful and truly the best day.

I do want to note that once the new coordinator stepped in we did face a few struggles. Obviously that comes with anyone starting a new job and is totally understandable for there to be a learning curve, but as i’m reviewing it’s really important for me to be transparent to make anyone who may be looking here aware. The person who filled Kathy’s role seemed a bit underprepared. Leading up to the wedding I would sometimes have to call or email her for days or even weeks to get a response on simple questions. She also never apologized for her lack of responsiveness when it was brought up. My maid of honor also made me aware that she lost all of our table decor and was basically going to have us use random stuff the venue had until luckily my maid of honor stepped in and found it (she said it was right in front of her the entire time). Additionally, when it came to the logistics of everything it just seems kind of all over the place during both the rehearsal and cocktail hour. She also seemed to have left before us or anyone in the bridal party or on staff at the end of the night and we were having to kind of scramble to figure out what we were supposed to do at clean up time. It was just kind of jarring that we were working with someone who was super experienced who we were very confident in and out of nowhere she was replaced by someone with significantly less experience. But we are really appreciative of her hard work, flexibility with the rain plan, and kindness, we just felt there could have been some more communication and professionalism on her end.

Overall the experience was so lovely and we would recommend the venue to anyone, but I would probably recommend hiring another coordinator or wedding planner to communicate with the one the venue provides to make things a bit smoother.

So a couple of things:
Julie is amazing to work with and answered any and all questions I had leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. We almost had rain and she had a back up plan ready and did a good job calming this stressed out bride to ensure that it would still be beautiful outside. The food at the taste test was phenomenal and I heard everyone liked our food!
2 things though: Julie left without telling me during the reception and I spent some time looking for her which took away from the wedding. I was also told that they would give us a doggie bag of some food since we all know that brides and grooms don't eat much and that was nowhere to be found so I maybe got one bite of food and with it being almost $50 a plate, I wasn't happy about that and we had to order Chinese at the hotel. I also wish that they would allow events to go on a little later because right at 9pm, before a lot of guests had left, they were already cleaning up the tables before they finished the last note of the last song.

We had high hopes for our wedding. We had an open bar, and things look great, until the next day, when our guests said that the bar ran out of booze. After we paid $10,000 they had to go to the gas station to pick up more. And to top it off, they were charging my guests for shots ( which was never stated) I was very disappointed and would ask anyone to be sure they know that they are getting a “limited” bar, not open.

The venue was beautiful. However, there were dog feces all over the property. Had to avoid these wearing a wedding gown--disgusting! The bridal dressing room is NOT a dressing. There were male servers walking thru while my bridal party was trying to get dress for the wedding. Absolutely not decor is provided, you have to provide your own. No event day cordinator is provided. The event coordinator is condescending and rude; and she is training her assistant to be that way. She also does not take the time to know her staff name; and refers to them as "hey you". She also lost our decor and other items that we brought on the property to install our decor after she promised they would keep them until after the event. Again, the only silver lining at Deercreek Country Club, is the location is beautiful

Everything started out fine but I was VERY disappointed when I heard the coordinator, Julie talking badly behind my back. She basically just smiled to my face when I caught her in the act. She was not working to benefit me.

I’m sharing this to help future brides make an informed decision. Although Deer Creek Country Club is visually appealing and initially affordable, I ultimately canceled due to poor food quality, limited flexibility, unprofessional communication, and a mishandled refund process. The entrées at my tasting were extremely disappointing, dry, overcooked and bringing in outside catering required a nearly $5,000 fee from the venue. The refund was delayed beyond the promised timeline with little communication until i proactively reached out. Brides should research thoroughly before committing and schedule tastings early if you’ve already paid your deposit.
