We had such a great experience with our decorator, JR and his team at Decoratively Speaking Events! For our wedding day, we had two venues in two different cities - a chapel in Dunedin followed by a yacht at Clearwater Beach Marina. JR handled all the flowers and decor for both and let me tell you, he hit it out of the park! He’s a man with a vision, completely transforming each space and making it look gorgeous in its own way.
The yacht venue allowed very little time for setup, which could have been a huge issue, but JR worked his magic and pulled everything together perfectly under pressure. Every transition was smooth, and on the wedding day, we didn’t have to worry about a single thing. His team handled everything from start to finish so we could just relax and enjoy every moment.
You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and it shows in his work. JR is also a very thoughtful person who truly cares about making your day special. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better decorator and highly recommend DSE to anyone looking for someone who pours real passion into their work and is genuinely excited to create something beautiful just for you. Honestly, we might have to plan another event just so we have an excuse to work with JR again! -

We had the pleasure of working with J.R. whom we met while he was setting up an event at the kapok which is where we were having our wedding this past Saturday the 10th. Following a series of questions, he provided us with a wealth of information, leading us to schedule a meeting. We were impressed by his ideas and subsequently hired him. The experience was exceptional. J.R. was easy to work with, very accommodating, and always available. His team was outstanding, offering invaluable assistance especially to my parents. We then hired JR and his team to style our wedding with a Tropical theme. scheduling was a breeze and they were very punctual, which, as you know is very important with all the stress I was under. The best decorating team!
JR and the Decoratively Speaking team are next level. They took our vision of "Christmas Magic" and "Winter Wonderland" for my client's holiday party and RAN WITH IT! They blew me away. Their professionalism, timeliness, and communication is top notch, but their decorating is even better! Their team TRANSFORMED a car dealership showroom into a stunning winter wonderland, with beautiful pipe and drape, perfect centerpieces and Christmas decor that would knock your socks off. JR heard our vision, ran with it, and OVER delivered! His passion and care for his customers and their vision is the best. I knew we were in safe hands, and you should too! Phenomenal Decor Designer
Phenomenal! JR is just phenomenal! He has such a beautiful and creative mind for decor it makes my recommendation of him so much easier. He created a beautiful 1920’s themed wedding decor for our bride and it was just breathtaking! I have no idea where he finds these unique and sometimes rare items, but he gets it done and with a bright smile on his face! I absolutely love working with him and he is the only person a recommend. Give JR a call before you do anything else first! -

JR Navarro was an absolute pleasure to work with! I was blown away by his gorgeous decor at my rehearsal dinner for my wedding, as well as, the wedding reception. His attention to detail is unmatch and he is very detailed oriented and you can just tell that he has such a passion for his craft and he puts 110% of himself into every single detail. He is also very attentive and will communicate with you and always cater to your needs. -

JR was great to work with he made my wedding night look like everything and more from what we had originally sat down and discussed. He is easy to get ahold of and does his best to make your vision come to life. My wedding happened during Covid so there was a flower shortage he made sure to find the flowers that were going to be the most similar to what I had originally picked out. He’s great at working within your budget and still making the venue look perfect. -

I met Jr through some mutual friends at a wedding. He was very knowledgeable and I just knew at that moment I needed him to decorate my wedding. We booked him!! Everything he could have given me was above and beyond. If your looking for a floral designer, here is your guy! I have been looking back at some of the pictures from the wedding day and my eyes keep going straight to all of the decorations, I had to jump on wedding wire and say THANK YOU THANK YOU! -

JR and his staff were absolutely AMAZING! Words cannot describe how blown away my husband and I were when we finally saw our decor. From our initial consultation all the way to the day of the wedding JR was extremely meticulous in planning every detail, color, shade, type of flower, linen, centerpiece,- you name it. We truly could not have picked a better person to dress our wedding. He always made us feel like his friend and not just another client. He made sure to contact us throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding and was always super easy to contact about questions, concerns, or even just pictures of ideas I had. He was very honest about working with our budget and about every selection we made but always found a way to make it work. He even created a personalized invitation souvenir for us to keep that we absolutely loved and are so thankful for. Sorry I took so long to write this review but if anyone is considering Decoratively Speaking as their decor vendor I would 100% recommend you go with them. You will not be disappointed! -

I found JR and Decoratively Speaking Events while attending a wedding in Florida and I asked him if he could do my son's wedding in Las Vegas, NV, He happily accepted the offer and planned and decorated my son's wedding! J.R. Was great! So professional… he really nailed down our vision and made a magical atmosphere for our wedding day. We couldn’t get up to the Clearwater area in person before the event so he handled everything on video call and set us at ease.
J.R. Is not only professional but also a very thoughtful individual who made our special day even more special with personal decor that fit our tastes and names.

JR did a wonderful job at our event. Our centerpieces were unique and better than we even discussed! Our wedding was a destination wedding and JR was more than willing to take our feedback via phone and pictures to ensure our centerpieces were customized just for us. We never expected the stunning sweetheart table to be so beautiful. Our guests commented that the table with its backdrop and chandelier was spectacular and they had not seen a table like that at another wedding!
Our beach wedding had to be moved inside at the last minute and JR and his team set up the ceremony, cocktail and reception area without us having to worry about anything. JR is not only a true professional who gets the highest quality flowers but what sets him apart from other florists is his artistic design to transform any space into a unique and beautiful setting. It's all about the details and JR is a master!!

JR is truly amaaaazing! You can trust his opinion and suggestions for sure. I can honestly say that he will make sure the bride and groom agree with everything (no matter who pays). The entire set up was perfect. All the flowers were stunning and in perfect condition. He sets up from the night before with an awesome crew. Another thing I appreciated was his communication all the time. He wanted to make sure the bride was good and relaxed during the entire process. I don’t have absolutely no compliant or anything I would’ve changed from him or the beautiful decoration. He’s so honest and open about everything. He also was so good about making sure someone was covering something he wasn’t (for example, tablecloths. He kept making sure the venue was providing it over and over again just to be super clear. And thanks to that over and over again I was saved). Satisfied bride right here! Can’t wait to hire him again! Baby shower or birthday that is :) The entire team is awesome. I can safely say this was the only vendor that did not disappoint me. -

Let me just start with J.R.... from start to finish he was honest.. I really had no idea where I wanted to take my vision for my wedding so I handed JR the reins and he navigated perfectly. He always kept in touch to make sure I was comfortable and I loved the options I was presented with.. He made it very easy and kept it from being overwhelming for us.. He took every jumbled thought from inside my head and turned into my wedding reality and I was so speechless. Not only is he amazing at his Job, he’s an overall amazing person and never takes advantage.. he’s an advocate and a friend.. without him or his wonderful team, my day wouldn’t of been what it was.. To say that the event wouldn’t have gone smoothly without him would be an understatement. He worked extremely hard to make sure that the room was gorgeous and that my day was special. Jacqueline Sent on 03/04/2018JR is an artist! He is more than amazing and my wedding became a fairytale on 2/03/18. He is not your typical vendor, from the moment my husband and I met him he became a member of our family. He is warm with a kind heart and really listens to what your wedding day should look like. He knew exactly what I wanted and when they opened those double doors to our reception, it was like walking into a fairytale and I was the princess. He gave way MORE than we had asked for or expected. He had hidden little surprises for us throughout the wedding.
Are you a smart bride? If answer yes, then you need to stop looking at other vendors for flowers, and decor. JR and his team do it ALL!! Why would you go anywhere else?? If you are worried about cost, don’t be! Tell JR upfront what your budget is for flowers and decor and he will show you what your special day will look like (don’t forget those secret surprises)!
JR will always be a part of our family and he will be doing all of our future parties. We are truly blessed to have met JR and we can’t thank him enough.

He incorporated my simple classic vision and transformed the room into a magical showstopper that took my breath away. It rained when I was supposed to walk outside for our ceremony and we had to make the decision to have our ceremony inside, and J.R reassured me that our reception room would not disappoint for a backdrop for our ceremony. He had every table with candles lit and it was beautiful. Our ceremony and photos were surrounded with beautiful scenery and my guests could not stop coming up and telling me how beautiful everything was. Having J.R. Decorate our wedding was the best decision we made and we highly recommend him for any event. He made our day beautiful and I could not imagine anyone else being there and making our day and more special than he did for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My budget was not huge, but he made it work and never made me feel like I was getting less than 100% of his time and attention. He visited the venue several times, kept in contact with the venue and with me, and came to set up the day before the wedding. When my bridesmaids saw the reception room all decorated they gasped like we were on a david tutera show! LOL I really have no regrets and would recommend DSE to anyone. -

My husband and I honestly searched and had two florists we sat down w and neither understood what we wanted as well as Jr. I've honestly been racking my brain on what to say about him and his company. My husband and I got married on November 20th and still to this day we have people telling us how stunning the arrangement were and the linens. Part of me honestly miss planning my wedding as an excuse to talk to Jr :-) I can tell you, if you choose this VERY talented man to design your wedding you will NEVER be disappointed or concerned about anything he handles! He's so keen on details (one of the reasons I love him) and will be the first to tell u how it'll honestly look together, and while planning a wedding a bride does not need yet another YES person, you need someone to tell u ur colors dont blend or this won't photograph well and trust him he's so talented that if I hadnt had a Thursday wedding I never would've got him :-) so if I had to do my wedding all over again I just wish I would've had more time to pick his brain lol and I must say my husband and I chose artificial flowers for our centerpiece and real bouquets and boutineers and nobody knew the difference because his florals are such high quality and he ensures that no two weddings will be the same cookie cutter you've already seen. So consider that option since he will definitely make u a stunning event! -
