Michael and the staff at the Decatur Conference Center did an amazing job! Michael is there to communicate with through the whole process of planning and everything is finished when you arrive for the reception. It was beautiful and we had many compliment about the look and the staff. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a stress free, beautiful wedding.

Michael and his team went above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect! I had a couple hiccups (outside of the venues control) and he went out of his way to accommodate the best he could which ended up being better than we had planned! I can't emphasize enough that this venue is worth every penny. The food, decorations, and recommendations were all impeccable! I never had to worry about anything!

I chose to have my wedding reception at DCCH and I couldn't be happier with that choice. Michael and his team were absolutely fantastic! They listed to our needs and wants and made my vision come to life! He paid close attention to detail and everything came together and ran so smoothly. This truly was our dream wedding. We honestly can say that the DCCH alleviated so much stress due to the fact that they offer so many wonderful services with their amazing all inclusive packages. We had our reception in the newly renovated Holiday Hall and we were blown away by its beauty. We received so many compliments on the venue itself, the cleanliness of our guests' rooms, and the spectacular service from the staff. We are forever thankful that we chose to host our event at the DCCH and without hesitation we recommend this venue for all future newlyweds and anyone seeking high quality service!

We had our wedding at the Conference Center April 15, 2017. They did an amazing job! The food and drinks were catered. They staff was very professional and caring! I do not regret having my wedding and reception there! Everything turned out perfect! Michael Maggi is wonderful!!! He made sure everything was done right and was on top of it! Thank you all for making my wedding incredible!!

Michael is AWESOME! He helped us through every step of the process and was very honest and realistic about everything, which we really appreciated. I think I was so calm throughout the whole process because I knew he had it covered and was on top of everything. Our wedding was great and had no hiccups. He was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure our day was perfect.

The Decatur conference center was a perfect place to have our wedding! Michael helped me right from the beginning with any questions I had and continued to be amazing all the way through until my big day! I couldn't have done it without him! I also loved having the ceremony and reception all there... It made it very easy for all the guest and the wedding party. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely still choose the DCCH!

Michael Maggi took all the worries out of planning my daughter's wedding on June 18th. He made sure we were satisfied throughout the whole event. His staff should be commended as well. Thank you for the refund for the microphone issue. We will tell everyone about your services and our special time.

The sales staff was very professional and attentive. They were quick to respond to messages and emails and were always available for appointments. The staff worked closely with me to make sure my event was exactly the way I wanted. All my guest had a wonderful time and the service staff that worked my event was excellent, very efficient and professional. Would highly recommend this vendor.

Working with Micheal has been so delightful. He has been open to all my wants and needs for my cerimony and reception. He is fast to respond to all my emails! You great a lot of bang for your buck. Michael Maggi, and the staff at Decatur Conference Center and Hotel, are nothing short of amazing! Michael has been such a great help planning our special day. Once we had our tour of the Hotel and talked with Micheal we decided then and there this would be our venue!! I definitely recommend their services to everyone!

I used the venue for a retirement party for my mom. It was excellent. The service was impeccable and we received numerous comments from our guests about how delicious the food was. The venue really met our needs and my mom was more than impressed with her evening. Thank you for making it such a special occasion for our family.

As you know the MacArthur Class of 1965's 50th Class Reunion was not a wedding, but it was a major event for the class members and their guests. There were classmates from 30 states, some of whom had only been back to Decatur one or two times since they graduated. Our committee has yet to receive a single negative comment about anything concerning the reunion. Working with Michael was a pleasure and there was never a single time that he was not available to talk with us about ideas we had for the room. He listened to our ideas and had suggestions as to how we could achieve them. Both Friday and Saturday nights Michael was visible and available and was concerned that everything was going well. We made a last minute change with the wireless microphone and internet interface system by asking for a microphone attached to the podium and a LCD projector instead. We were introduce to Deacon and he fixed us up with our request in no time and everything worked perfectly both nights. Also the catering staff was excellent and very easy to work with and very professional and needless to say the food was SUPERB!!! I have spoken to the Class of 1966 recommending the Conference Center and will continue to recommend to MacArthur High classes from the 1960's the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel when considering a venue for their reunion.

Michael was great to work with. Not only did he provide an excellent reception and help the evening go smoothly, 8 days before the wedding I was told we could no longer get ready at the church for the wedding. In a panic we called Michael to see if he could help us out. He so kindly got us a huge conference room and set up four stations next to four outlets for the 3 hair dressers and a table for the make up artist. He provided us with stools, Mirrors, and a huge center table for mimosas and food. The reception hall turned out beautiful and the service was great.

The planning of the event and the attention to detail by Michael Maggie of the Decatur Conference Center was just fantastic. Holiday Hall was a great room for our reception. The food was great, really everything was great. I had try to prepare my wife and daughter that the day most likely would not be perfect, and to go with the flow if something did not go exactly as planed. But I was wrong. The entire day was perfect! I would strongly recommend the DCCH for wedding receptions.

We had an AMAZING experience! The entire staff was wonderful and helpful but Michael went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect! You never would have known that there were 2 other weddings happening on the same day as ours. Everything went perfectly!

Michael Maggi, the Event Specialist at Decatur Conference Center and Hotel, made my daughter's wedding dreams come true! He spent countless hours planning and orchestrating an amazing evening. Michael tends to every last detail. My daughter had "ideas and images" for her wedding reception...he made them all happen! At the end of the evening, I had MANY guests express to me the reception was the best they had ever experienced! That was the best compliment I could've received, and it would not have happened without Michael. Michael has a deep knowledge base, he has the ability to work with all types of personalities, and his level of professionalism is second to none! Thank you Michael!!!!

Michael was extremely helpful every step of the way! He was professional, attentive, detailed orientated, and just so pleasant to work with. He planned and executed the wedding just as it was imagined to be. The food was great and delicious for both the rehearsal dinner and reception! The bartenders and servers were a delight too! We received fast service for dinner which was requested due to the limit of time. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. The sleeping rooms were clean and had a beautiful up date/renovation. Overall everything was beautiful and was smooth sailing. But we couldn't of done it without Michael! Thank you to everyone that played a part in making this dream come true!

Our daughter had the wedding of her dreams at the Decatur Conference Center and Hotel because of the professional and dedicated staff! The event planner was wonderful to work with. He took the time to listen to our daughter's vision for the event and he went the "extra mile" to make sure it happened! He was available to answer all our questions, and he paid attention to all the little details for us. We could not have done this without him. His service exceeded our expectations! The chef met with us several times during the planning process, and he made sure the food met our expectations! During the event, the banquet staff was professional and made sure the event ran smoothly. We were able to enjoy our daughter's wedding because the staff took care of everything for us during the event. If we had to do it all over again, we would definitely choose the Decatur Conference Center and Hotel again!

We had reservations with this venue initially, but after working with the hotel and the sales director, we were very happy with the outcome. Our room set up was wonderful and the food was excellent. Servers went above and beyond to make sure our guests were happy the night of our reception and we could not have asked for more.

DCC was an amazing place to host my wedding reception! The staff were amazing, Michael is obviously very knowledgeable in wedding planning, and the MLK ballroom was absolutely beautiful after the staff put up all our decorations! I would choose there again in a heart beat!

This is a one stop shop. The MLK ballroom is the best in the mid-west. Michael and staff was extremely helpful and professional.

It has been great working with Michael. I was concerned that my budget wouldn't allow for my ceremony and reception to be held here, but Michael put my mind at ease and went above and beyond to find a menu that allows us to invite everyone that we want to have with us that day! Plus, the ceremony will be outdoors by the pond, but if the weather is not cooperative, we have back-up plan in place at no additional cost!

We would have given them a perfect score had we had a professional like Danielle taking care of us the whole time. The food was beyond great and so was the wait staff. Danielle is the banquet manager, she took care of us, got back to us promptly, was professional, and actually cared. If only we had been able to deal with her the whole time, as it was we got to meet with her and work with her the friday before the wedding. She was there the whole weekend! The bartender was wonderful too! On the whole the experience was wonderful.

We chose the DHCC because they take care of nearly everything... linens, chairs, china, silverware, and even cake cutting. Yes, we still had to do a lot of logistics on our own but Michael helped facilitate and asked questions that I didn't know I needed an answer to. The only criticisms I have is that it was sometimes difficult to reach Michael via phone (he was great with email) and that there is a "food minimum" for each room that, in my opinion, is set too high. The upside is that there is no room rental charge, so I guess it's built-in.

The first coordinator we had was wonderful she was the reason I booked the first day I saw the room. She left a few mths later, and it was like a whole different ball game. No communication until I reached out first. Was treated different until my sister in law realized she knew her and then it all changed she was as nice as can be. There was another wedding going on in the other room the staff took pics and posted on line their wedding I'm not sure why mine was left out I spent over 15000 to have my dream wedding but that didn't really matter but overall I wish I would have looked at a few more venues first.
