We LOVE our Wedding Video!!!!
Melissa did such an awesome job with my daughter and son-in-law's Lake Arrowhead wedding video! She captured the beauty, love and fun of their wedding and reception perfectly -- she is a VERY talented videographer! And Melissa is so great to work with -- her prices are fair, her work is impeccable and she is so nice and easy to work with. I highly recommend Melissa and Dear Fox Films!Melissa did such an awesome job with my daughter and son-in-law's Lake Arrowhead wedding video! Worth every penny
Wedding: November 2018 Avalon Hotel in Palm Springs.
I know there are a lot of great reviews on here but I felt compelled to write a review considering how I keep watching my wedding video over and over and over again. I AM OBSESSED WITH HOW IT CAME OUT. We were on the fence about even having a videographer and our wedding planner referred us to Melissa and Maio Media and thank goodness she did!! The video and the photos are the only thing you have after you have planned this event for months and you want an amazing memory. My husband has a better eye for videography and he chose Maio out of a couple of different options based on the quality of theother videos they had done and allllllll of my friends and family cannot stop talking about what great quality our video is and how it made them laugh and cry and just remember what an incredible day it was. I barely remember the videographer team on the day of which I think was on purpose!! They are there capturing everything but careful not to get in the way of a natural moments or in the way of your fun! I couldn’t even tell you what their names are, I was so distracted by everything else. Clearly when you watch our video though, you know they got the best angles and shots of literally everything important. Plus I love that you can get a longer documentary edit so you have it for memories instead of just the highlight video. 20 years from now we will be able to watch the whole thing and show our kids what our special day was like!! Melissa of Maio Media was fabulous to work with - granted my wedding was only 4 days ago (1/13/18) but I would recommend her to just about any one. She arrived on time, sweetly introduced herself and quickly got to work - often I forgot she was even around while I got my makeup done. That was true professionalism - she made sure to capture the day without impacting the dynamic of what was going on. She was also very organized, sending me preference and information forms ahead of time, and was VERY patient with me as I changed my requests of music two or three times. She could not have been nicer, and I am so happy we decided to work with her! Wedding - June 2017
Initially my (now) husband and I were hesitant in booking a videographer for our wedding, as like many, we were concerned about the affordability of this expense within our budget. We scheduled a consultation with Maio Media after they were recommended by our DJ and watching videos of their fantastic work on their sleek website. We met with Melissa at Maio Media’s trendy studio in the Downtown Santa Ana art district. Melissa was willing to work within our budget, including incorporating drone coverage. On the day of our wedding, Melissa and Maio Media were prompt to arrive and were immediately ready to shoot. They worked seamlessly with our photographer in documenting our day and we took their direction as needed for capturing footage to incorporate into our video. Our highlight video was ready within the timeframe estimated in our contract and it was more than what we could have ever hoped for. Watching the edited work that Maio Media put together of our wedding immediately transported us back to the memories of that day. We could not wait to share it with our family and friends, many of whom expressed their love of the video, as well as confessing their tears of joy. Melissa and Maio Media were professional, friendly, and extremely talented. Mellisa and her assistant were the perfect addition to our big day. We debated getting a videographer because it adds cost and we were on a tight budget but we couldn't be more thrilled we made room for her in our budget. I could not imagine NoT having that video to look at. To see all your guest or your husband and grooms men getting ready all the events you wouldn't normally see was so much fun. I highly recommend them for any event and being a wedding photographer myself I will be referring her to all my clients.Mellisa and her assistant were the perfect addition to our big day. Melissa and her staff are amazing. They use GoPros as well as regular video cameras to get every view of the wedding! Melissa was absolutely AMAZING!! Her and her team captured our wedding day perfectly from start to finish. We love having the short highlight video of our day to share with family and friends that were not able to be there. If you are on the fence about including a videographer in your wedding budget, and which videographer at that, my best recommendation I can give is to have Melissa be apart of your wedding. After comparing many different videographers, I felt Melissa's prices were the fairest. After getting my highlight video, I can't boast about her talent enough. I am SO happy that we picked her to capture our wedding. Our video was so beautifully done and captured our happiest day together perfectly. Being the bride and groom, you really do miss a lot at your wedding because you have so many things to do- having a video to look back on and seeing how much fun your guests had is priceless. I also received the full ceremony/reception edit and I LOVE it! Thank you Melissa- we had such a great time watching our video together and reflecting back on our 6 months of marriage. I can't say how happy I am that we added this option onto our package. I love how it is separated into sections as well- so you don't have to fast forward through everything to get to a section you want to watch. I have, and will continue, to recommend your services! Melissa is a DREAM to work with! We had a bit of a scheduling hiccup and needed a good amount of flexibility and roll-with-it-ness, and she was amazing! She was able to roll with it and capture the moments that were most important to us! She was so professional and I had many of the other vendors remark to me how great she was in working with them, and a few of my friends getting married ask for her info. I would absolutely book her again, and as a wedding planner myself plan on recommending her to any of my upcoming brides!Melissa is a DREAM to work with! I was so thankful when I found Melissa. She is just simply the best! She responds quickly to all emails and phone calls, even now that my wedding is over. We barely noticed that she was there on the day of the wedding, and she and her team worked so well with my photographer. The video we received is so beautiful! Melissa was AMAZING! Truly the best! We LOVE our highlight video from our wedding!!! I've received so many compliments about our video. People have told me they were in tears watching the highlight video! Even people who were at our wedding. She truly captured amazing moments from our wedding!

We will be receiving our full blu-rays so we haven't even seen our full video at this point, but I Know we will NOT be disappointed!! She is very personable and you immediately feel comfortable with Melissa! I would recommend her to all of our family and friends! We love love love our wedding video!! Melissa beautifully captured the essence of the day in the highlight video. Plus, she did a stunning job compiling all the edited footage into little chapters on the DVD that tell the story of our wedding from the anticipation of getting ready to the revelry of the reception. The sections make it easy to re-watch a particular favorite scene.
All the sections are fully edited, with a lot of nice touches like transitions, zooming in and out - okay, I am obviously not a videographer, but you get the idea! It feels like a real movie, only the stars are all the people we love, and the music is our favorite songs. We love watching it over and over to relive the day.
She was really sweet on the day of, too, and I felt comfortable with her immediately. Oh, and plus, the DVD cases have a picture of us from the wedding on them!
