The best makeup artists ever!!

Where do I even begin? I found Deanna through reviews online and I booked my trial immediately. Needless to say I was thrilled with working with her from the start. Deanna did my makeup for my bridal shower, engagement session, and my wedding! She did three different looks And I was just blown away with how she knew exactly what I wanted and executed it with ease. When Deanna does makeup it brings out the beauty in you without being too much or too little. My mother, mother in law, and grandmother (done by her assistant that day Bianca) also got their makeup done for the wedding and the looks she did for them were amazing.

Also a plus, my husband loved every time I got my makeup done. He always says I don’t need to wear makeup, but you know how men are haha. He even coerced his mom who was a little apprehensive about it and she was thrilled with the look for the wedding!

Working with Deanna for my wedding was easily one of the best choices I made. She is professional, talented, so incredibly sweet, and so much fun to work with. She made getting ready for my big day so easy. Her assistant Bianca that was also amazing and she created beautiful looks for my bridesmaids. Thank you Deanna for making me feel beautiful on my special day!!

The BEST Make Up Artist!!

Deanna is, without a doubt, one of the very best decisions you could possibly make for your wedding day (she most definitely was for me :))! She is one of the sweetest, most caring people you will ever meet and her talent can't even be captured by words. From the booking process to the actual wedding, Deanna was such a gift to work with.

Booking Process: I actually booked Deanna back in the spring of 2019, and got to work with her through fall of 2021 due to multiple cancellations for my wedding. Deanna was absolutely wonderful and incredibly easy to work with the first time around, but I will never be able to thank her enough for sticking with me through not one, not two, but three rescheduled wedding dates. Deanna was unbelievably kind, patient, and flexible, and did absolutely everything she could to be a part of my big day! When little changes popped up (e.g., adding an attendant/time changes), she readily made the changes (she's so on the ball!!) and was always sooo sweet/understanding about them. During a time of high stress and uncertainty, I always knew I could count on Deanna, and that really meant the world to me.

Wedding Day Makeup: The times I have felt prettiest in my life were for my wedding makeup trial, my engagement pictures, and most of all my wedding day. Deanna did my makeup for all 3 events :) Deanna truly has a gift for making each person look like the very best version of themselves. Even my pickiest bridesmaids commented to me that Deanna was INCREDIBLE and they'd love to work with her again. One of my bridesmaids in particular has had issues with her eyebrows all her life, and to this day she comments about how her eyebrows never looked better than when Deanna did them as part of her makeup routine (she is dying to book Deanna for her wedding but sadly for us, she moved to NJ -- you brides there are so lucky to have her :)). Also of note: my mother-in-law was very anxious about getting her makeup done for the first time, but Deanna was so gentle and did exactly what my MIL had hoped for. With that said, not only is Deanna insanely talented and knowledgable, but her presence is so calming and reassuring, which is important on your wedding day. She knows exactly what to do to make your makeup pop in pictures in the best way.

As a bride, I couldn't imagine my and my husband's big day without Deanna. I have never felt so confident or beautiful. Deanna, thank you for EVERYTHING. You had such a major role in making my wedding day the special and perfect day that it was! You are SO MISSED in Illinois!

PS - Extra bonus, Deanna also does an amazing job with eyebrows, lashes, and facials :)

Deanna is amazing!

I am beyond happy that I booked Deanna to do my wedding day makeup!!! She not only made me feel beautiful for my wedding day, but helped me schedule (and reschedule - thanks COVID) my makeup trial, wedding day makeup, and other beauty services prior to my big day.

Incredibly Beautiful Work

Deanna and her team were so easy to work with and I would recommend for anyone! Her professionalism, timely response times and beautiful work made our wedding day so much more beautiful. Me (the bride), the bridesmaids and my mother looked incredible and we did throughout the whole day and night (in 85 degree heat and sun!). Even after dog kisses!! Thank you Deanna for helping make me feel like a princess on my wedding day.

She made me look beautiful!

Deanna did my makeup for my sister’s wedding. My makeup looked natural while being “extra” enough for pictures, and it lasted all day! I didn’t even need to reapply my lipstick! I don’t get my makeup done often, and it was my first time wearing false eyelashes, but Deanna was really patient and made me feel very comfortable. I was grateful to have one less thing to stress about!

Amazing Experience

I met Deanna 2 years ago for my best friends wedding. She did such a good job, I knew she had to do my makeup for my wedding! She is so easy to work with, so flexible and did such a great job. I don't wear a lot of makeup usually, so I loved how light the airbrush makeup feels. She took great care of me and my girls! I would recommend her to anyone looking for everyday, or special occasion makeup!

Deanna is Amazing!!

Deanna has done my make-up for several occasions and she is absolutely AMAZING! I cannot say enough good things not only about her, but her work!

Beautiful And Natural

Deanna was professional and listened to what the bridal party wanted. As a result everyone looked natural but with just the right amount of “glam” for photos.
I would definitely use her again for a big event. I loved my eye makeup and false lashes.

Natural and picture perfect makeup

Deanna was the BEST! My bridesmaid's sister used Deanna for her wedding and all of the girls looked stunning. Even though she was out of my area (there is an additional fee for travel) I loved the natural but polished look she achieved, so I had to book her! She is incredibly sweet, professional, and easy going. I live out of state, so I appreciated her flexibility with scheduling my trial. She was also helpful in providing suggestions for long-lasting lipstick and answering any other questions. I felt beautiful on my wedding day and the makeup lasted all night! I highly recommend using Deanna for your wedding day!

There's a good reason Deanna has a solid 5 star rating. She is absolutely incredible!! I cannot say enough good things about her. She is incredibly sweet and easy to work with and really quick to respond to emails.

Honestly, I have never felt so beautiful in my entire life after she did my make-up for my wedding. Her style brings out the best in your looks and it's soft and natural, so you look like the VERY best version of you. My girls and my mom were truly stunning the day of my wedding.

*SUPER IMPORTANT* - Her make-up work holds up all day. I ugly cried, stood in the rain and sweated my butt off dancing and I still looked fresh as a daisy at 11pm.

Thanks again Deanna for helping make my husband tear up when he saw me ;)

Working with Deanna was a wonderful experience! She did the make up for my friend’s wedding last fall and I fell in love with her work then so when I got engaged I knew I had to work with her again. She knew exactly how to work with all of our different skin types, used professional products, and all of us ended up looking beautiful and still ourselves- no cookie cutter bride and bridesmaids. Deanna is also very kind, easy to talk to, professional and prompt with her responses/communication. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and everything looking for professional make up booking and I will book her again for my future events!

Deanna is not only an amazing makeup artist, but she also is incredibly sweet and calming, which made the wedding morning flow smoothly and seamlessly. We had a large group of 11 people getting makeup done, so she brought another artist to our hotel suite. They both did a fabulous job on all the ladies and worked efficiently to get us done well ahead of schedule. Deanna was easy to communicate with throughout the planning process . She has my highest recommendation for all brides and their wedding parties!

I cannot say how happy I am that Deanna was available to do our make-up for my wedding. Deanna, is so sweet and really takes the time to get to know what her brides vision is, then she will walk you through what she is going to use in order to achieve the look. I had an idea of what I wanted it to look like, and brought some pictures for inspiration- but Deanna is so talented I wanted her to do what she thought would look best, and she did not disappoint.

Deanna arrived prompt on the wedding day (even in a snow storm) and was so reliable and a great calming presence to have around on the big day when everything was chaotic. I had a large group of girls who were getting ready with me, and each girl came out looking flawless. She was so patient and kind, and check out her Instagram so you can see all her amazing looks- that is what sealed the deal for me. Again Deanna; thank you for being such a fun part of the day :)! I am recommending her to everyone I know, so I hope I will be able to have her do my make-up again!

Deanna was amazing! From day 1 she responded to all my questions and emails quickly! She did my makeup for my engagement photos, my bridal shower, and all of the girls for my wedding (6 total) and we all looked beautiful! I don't wear much makeup and so she talked with me and each girl about what we did and did not like before starting anything. She was fun and professional. Deanna is by far one of the best makeup artists in the Chicago area. I first met Deanna at my maid of honor's wedding and she did such an incredible job that I had to hire her for my own wedding! Almost every make-up artist out there has long lists of rules and regulations with loads of information regarding their packages. Me, I'm simple and I loved that about Deanna. We had a great experience with Deanna for my November 2015 wedding. I loved my make-up for the wedding day and I appreciated how she provided recommendations to make me and my friends/family look our best (e.g. more blush for outdoor pictures!). In addition to providing great make-up, Deanna was extremely professional. I planned most of my wedding from afar, while living in Madrid, Spain, which was challenging with some vendors. However, Deanna made that process very easy by being communicative, organized and flexible. She was also just a great presence -- very kind, relaxed and helpful -- to have with us that day while getting ready. If you are looking for a make-up artist for your wedding, I cannot recommend Deanna highly enough!

I was fortunate enough to have met Deanna in Philly when she was doing my future sister in law's makeup - and she looked beyond stunning. Lucky for me she mentioned she was moving to Chicago so she was the first vendor I booked. When I had my trial, my mom came along since it was important to me that she felt beautiful on the big day, too. We liked it so much that when we had a family wedding (prior to my own) we asked her to do my make up, my sister's and my moms. Her range and expertise showed with the three of us. I prefer a natural look and she executed it perfectly. My sister likes the "exotic cateye" and it was perfection! And my mom, stunning. If you're looking for a makeup artist who just accentuates who you are and makes you look natural for a groom who "hates makeup" she's your person. Or if you want to go over the top glam --- (like she did for my sister) --- she's your person. If you want your beautiful mom to feel even more beautiful than she is? Deanna is your person!

I have never had my make-up professionally done before, and I am so glad I was able to get the experience for my wedding and to get a FANTASTIC experience, thanks to Deanna. Deanna is such a sweetheart and very personable, and I really like how she listens to what you want and will give you an honest opinion. My mom, 5 of my bridesmaids, and I had our make-up done, and everyone was delighted with her artistry. The make-up also stayed fresh throughout the night, so no extra foundation, bronzer, or blush was necessary! I highly recommend Deanna for your wedding make-up!

Deanna does amazing work! I had several makeup trials with other artists only to leave each time looking like I was ready to go to the club, completely unnatural and way too heavy. I found Deanna on wedding wire and I was amazed. I told her that I wanted my makeup on the more natural looking side and she nailed it! I signed a contract with her the day of our trial. She did makeup for myself, three bridesmaids, and my mother and they all loved it! We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful we looked. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

She's extremely talented, has a great personality, and was so responsive leading up to the day. She not only listened to what everyone wanted, but executed so well and on point. I reached out to Deanna based on an Internet search for a make-up artist for my engagement party. She was extremely responsive and asked me all the right questions in advance, especially given that this was for an Indian wedding- related event. She arrived at our house early and prepared in the midst of a busy morning and remained so calm and sweet throughout. I wore an Indian outfit during a day time event and she got my look perfectly. I wanted to ensure that I did not look overdone, but she got it exactly right on the first shot. The Airbrush was subtle, the eyes were dramatic, and her choice in lipstick, eye shadow, and blush went very well. She also applied make up to my family members, and everyone was pleased.

She nailed it! My friends with upcoming weddings have asked me for her information and I am hoping I get to work with her again. I would happily recommend her to other brides.

I used Deanna Lewis makeup for my July 3rd wedding. The whole experience was perfect. Deanna was warm, caring and flexible from the beginning of the process. The one thing I liked when booking Deanna initially is that she did not charge a retainer, just a deposit that was applied to your total on the wedding date. I also liked that she did not charge for an additional artist. Her price was honest and concrete, there were no hidden fees and clauses which I had encountered on my search. With such a big wedding party I was lucky to find a simple option! I had 10 people getting makeup done that morning and everything was seamless. Deanna was calm and organized the whole morning and afternoon. The heat index was over 100 degrees and my makeup looked amazing throughout the outdoor pictures and ceremony. ALL of bridesmaids received comments on Facebook once pictures were up about how flawless their makeup looked! She even impressed my mom who had never had her makeup done and can be hard to please! Deanna was our Make-up Artist for my wedding. She was absolutely wonderful! She was willing to travel, which was a huge plus! It's hard to trust vendors for your big day and although I didn't want to be a Bridezilla, I also didn't feel comfortable after I had my first trial with another artist. I hated it and so did my (now) husband. I was made up so heavily that I didn't even look like myself. I knew that I wanted to look good, but NATURAL, so at the last minute, I went with my gut and started looking for someone new.

As soon as I got on Wedding Wire, Deanna's style stood out to me as exactly what I had been looking for. It was soft, natural, and classic. I e-mailed her and she was immediately responsive and helpful.

She did an amazing job, and because her style is so much more organic, I felt comfortable, too. The first trial make up was so heavy my eyes were irritated all night and into the morning. Deanna used softer makeup and individual lashes which made SUCH a difference. And she put them on so quickly and effortlessly I was amazed!

The day of, Deanna was on time, kept a perfect schedule, and gave everyone the look that they wanted. She had even tracked down an extra bottle of the longwear lip color (that was discontinued!) that I had loved from my trial. I absolutely LOVED how it came out! I felt beautiful and didn't have to touch it up at all (and we were married on the beach in August!).

I was actually so happy with her choices, I went out and bought a lot of the makeup she used! I felt confident throughout my wedding and loved how it looked in my pictures. I wholeheartedly recommend Deanna. She is the best!

Deanna is a magician! To my horror, a few days before the wedding I discovered I had picked up some poison ivy, and in spite of my best efforts to get rid of it, I had nasty red patches on my face and neck. Given the heat and an outdoor wedding, I resigned myself to my fate, but happily found that when Deanna worked her magic my skin looked flawless throughout the entire event. The bride and the others that Deanna worked with also looked radiant and just lovely. Deanna has the right touch and didn't turn anyone into an overly dramatic and overly made-up look that would have made then unrecognizable - just brought out their best features. Deanna was amazing!!! Everyone's make-up in my bridal party including my own was flawless the entire day and never budged! Deanna was easy going and fit right into the mix of our wedding day. She uses great face makeup (temptu airbrush) and has a hand at make-up that makes you look glamorous, but still like yourself. She will never make you look like you are wearing a mask of make-up, which I've encountered when getting my make-up done by other professionals. Everything about her services is on point, use Deanna for your bridal make-up services you will not regret this decision.

Deanna is amazing!! She is so talented with airbrush makeup and so sweet and kind to everyone! She got through 8 ladies in just over 5 hours, and everyone looked flawless. She was very responsive and helpful with ladies who were comfortable with makeup and also those who weren't, and adjusted everything to cater to them. Everyone wants to look and feel beautiful on their wedding day, and Deanna accomplished just that! All of my ladies felt so beautiful. Not to mention, the makeup lasted all night long! My mom even had her lashes on the next morning! Deanna was very responsive and arrived early on the wedding day--she was completely set up and ready to go when we arrived on site. She sent a tentative timeline prior to the wedding day, so I had an idea of exactly what to expect. My cousin/bridesmaid wanted to pack Deanna in her luggage and bring her back to Texas with her to do her makeup for her figure competitions! This doesn't even begin to fully explain my gratitude, but I would definitely recommend Deanna to anyone in need of a makeup artist!!

Deanna did the wedding makeup for my mom, bridesmaids, and I for my September 2015 wedding and did an absolutely wonderful job! She worked with each girl to come up with the style they liked and everyone loved their individual look. I loved the makeup I wore on my wedding day - I felt beautiful and done up but also still felt like I looked like myself. She also worked wonders on my oily skin and I was shine free all night! Deanna is very talented and extremely enjoyable to work with - she was sweet, calm, responsive, and organized. I highly recommend her!
