If I could give Dawn more stars I would! Dawn litterally made our wedding day! She was a professional, she was understanding, she was flexible, she was excited. She is so easy to work with and captures the most incredible moments. My fiance does not love taking pictures and she made it so easy for him to sit back and actually enjoy the experience.
Dawn attention to lighting and scenary is amazing. She far exceeded our expectations! Dawn also had our preview of photos to us in 24 hours. We looked at the photos over and over again, and just couldnt believe how she was able to capture our day. We had a small intimate wedding and Dawn was able to be efficient with her time without sacrificing any of the variety and locations.
Prior to the wedding Dawn and I spoke several times, and she gave me the time line for my day. She was able to help with not only photography questions, but pacing for the entire wedding! her guidance was greatly appreciated!
Dawn is like having your best friend shoot your wedding photos, she is easily able to understand you as a couple and your vision for your wedding day and capture it all in her photos. I will not stop recommending her to everyone I meet. She is not only talented as a photographer. She is a great person making it so easy to work with her! -

The best elopement experience
I can’t say enough about Dawn. From the very moment we started talking, she immediately made me feel comfortable and excited about my elopement day. She calmed my nerves when the weather wasn’t exactly turning out the clear blue way we thought it would, and ended up taking beautiful photos in the white fog which actually ended up becoming my favorite. She took us to various locations to get different backdrops and before we completed our five hour drive back home she had already sent me the highlights! I’m so grateful to her, her beautiful work, and her making our day absolutely unforgettable! -

Best Elopement Photographer Out There!
Dawn is absolutely wonderful to work with! I recommend her to everyone I know looking for an elopement photographer. Dawn did my husband, Dylon, and I's Adirondack Elopement in Lake Placid, NY. She was so easy to work with, always there for you, always willing to take phone calls, answer questions, and help you with anything you need to make your day extra special. Dawn is always up for anything and always gets the best shots! I could go on forever about how amazing she was! We are absolutely in love with our photos! -

Dawn made our dreams come true.
I don’t even know how to begin expressing my gratitude. Dawn is an incredibly talented photographer and a wonderful human. She responded to our inquiry almost immediately. We were able to set up a phone call shortly after. Dawn was reassuring, insightful and trustworthy. She coordinated our wedding day and recommended other vendors. Dawn executed our wedding day PERFECTLY. She listened and prioritized what we wanted but also used her expertise to guide us. She made us feel like the most important people on the planet. Our previews were available exactly 24 hours after our wedding. Dawn is an angel. It was an honor to be photographed by her. We are so grateful to have had her on our wedding day. -

We hired Dawn in January 2020 and she stuck with us through 2 covid postponements, an elopement, and finally the big wedding with all of our loved ones in attendance.
When we decided to elope in 2021, Dawn helped us create our timeline, suggested a few locations, and captured all of the emotion and happiness of our intimate mountaintop ceremony.
Then, one year later, she photographed our big fairytale wedding with 150 guests. Once again, her photos told the story of the day and we cannot stop looking at them. Dawn was able to capture candid, natural-looking photos of us and our guests, as well as beautiful posed shots that we will treasure for years to come. On the day of the wedding she managed to catch every moment while completely blending in. She is the epitome of professionalism, but also friendly, easy to connect with, and made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera.
Dawn truly went above and beyond to photograph our TWO special days in the most beautiful and memorable way possible. -

My now husband is not a photo guy. Our wedding was also casual, rustic, on a working farm. I knew going into our wedding that I would need a photographer who made us feel comfortable and was good at the outdoorsy look we were going for. Dawn was amazing at taking candid photos and even staged ones in a very relaxing, down-to-earth way. We absolutely LOVE the end result of our wedding photographs. I would recommend Dawn to anyone looking for someone who doesn't feel like they are hovering and who takes incredibly natural photos, Thank you, Dawn! -

We are so grateful that we chose Dawn as our wedding photographer for our small, intimate wedding in the Adirondacks. She came highly recommended by our venue and after the first time we spoke with Dawn, we could understand why. From her initial booking to the day of the wedding, Dawn was there for us to answer any questions we had and to help us plan our day effectively. On the day of the wedding she was professional, helpful, and felt like a friend right away. She made us feel comfortable behind the camera and we hardly noticed that she was there at all throughout the day. Our guests loved her as well as she was easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about the region. She knew all the best spots to take us to and within 24 hours she sent us numerous photos as a preview. Her photos are stunning as she easily captures the beauty of your surroundings while also highlighting the love between the couple. Book Dawn now, you definitely will not regret it! -

Hiring Dawn as our photographer was hands-down the best decision we made for our wedding day. She is so great at what she does and we couldn’t have imagined the day without her! We had a great time getting to know Dawn during our engagement shoot last October. She had so many wonder hidden gems throughout the Adirondacks to take us to and we were able to use those beautiful photos for our save the dates! Fast-forward to our wedding day and Dawn was so organized, easy going, and definitely put both my husband and I at ease. We had so much fun taking pictures and Dawn and her second shooter were both ready to jump in and help wherever they could! Our wedding party also commented on how much fun they had taking photos, and as a result the photos came out so natural and candid because she made everyone feel so comfortable. She also helped us develop our timeline for the day and it worked out perfectly! Now, a few weeks after the wedding, we are SO grateful so have beautiful, candid shots to look back on. It was the best day of our lives, and hiring Dawn made that day and the entire wedding planning process so much fun. We’re so glad we found her, and would highly recommend her to anyone! -

Pure Magic!
Dawn is a truly amazing person and photographer. She is as kind as she is talented. My husband and I had the privilege of working with her twice; once for our intimate wedding and then again for our reception celebration. Dawn is more than a photographer; she is a timeline creator, dress fixer, nerve calmer, pose cue extraordinaire! From start to finish she helped plan both of our celebrations happily and oh so helpfully. Dawn puts you at ease and allows everything to flow naturally. She has a true gift for capturing the most magical moments in the most magical ways. I feel we have gained a photographer and friend and I look forward to including her in all of the magical moments to come. Our family and friends all admired her photos and what a lovely person she was to work with. We cannot thank her enough and will highly recommend her to everyone! We are so grateful. -

Simply the best!
If you are searching for a wedding photographer, stop searching and book Dawn immediately. Booking Dawn as our photographer was hands down the BEST decision we ever made. All of her reviews have a common theme. Dawn is exceptional, beyond talented, and one of the most down to earth people I have ever met. As many covid brides know, wedding planning is beyond challenging. However, Dawn helped and guided me throughout the entire process. She was extremely responsive to any question I ever had, and always made me feel important. From the moment we had our first conversation, I knew she needed to be our photographer. She was not only extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her career, she was always 100% straight forward with me —especially with the constant changes happening to weddings and events. Although the planning was challenging at times, I always knew that after a conversation with Dawn, my mind would be put to ease. There are truly not enough words to highlight how talented she is, and how wonderful of a person she really is. She is considerate and extremely thoughtful and truly loves what she does. Dawn was more than just our wedding photographer. She helped me plan our wedding more than I ever expected and there are not enough words to express how truly thankful I am for her. With all the changes we had on leading up to our wedding and on our wedding day, Dawn never skipped a beat. We had to quickly change our ceremony due to impending an storm and relocate inside. Without even knowing how upset I was about this, Dawn pulled me outside after our ceremony to do a fake walk down the original aisle because she knew how much I wanted that. It meant so much to me that Dawn knew that was something I wanted. Everywhere I turned, Dawn was ready for a photo without having to go and find her, but not in an annoying way. In the way where you think to yourself, I wish Dawn was here to take this picture and you turn around and there she is because she just is that good! I mean she stood in the POURING rain during cocktail hour taking pictures— not because she had to, but because she would do anything to get the perfect shot. These are such small things that are second nature to Dawn, but went a long way and did not go unnoticed.Not to mention, we had 20 previews not even 24 hours after the wedding and another 300 more not even a month later. I could go on and on forever about how wonderful Dawn is, but hopefully after reading this you will be fortunate enough to be able to experience her magic for yourself -

Amazing photographer!!
Being the first of our very large family to get married, I had a lot to learn about the wedding industry. There are many vendors who see the word "wedding" in your email subject and immediately see a paycheck, and that's exactly how they treat you. We were feeling pretty defeated by the wedding industry.
But then if you're lucky, you choose Dawn as your photographer. I will forever recommend Dawn to everyone, not just for her awesome pictures (which we had previews of in 24 hours). But because Dawn's support throughout the planning process and the day of our wedding was irreplaceable, I could not imagine having anyone else there with us that day!
There are so many stressors that go into the wedding planning process. Having Dawn there made myself and the entire day of the wedding so calm and relaxed.
I could go on and on about how amazing Dawn is, you will not be disappointed when working with her! And we cannot wait for our next opportunity to work with her again! -

Best Elopement Photographer!
Dawn is an amazing photographer and person in general! It's been almost 6 months since my husband and I eloped, and I can't believe I didn't write this review sooner.
Dawn is the perfect person for your elopement or intimate wedding! She has been photographing elopements/intimate weddings for years (since before they became a "thing"). She was super helpful with helping us find locations for the perfect pictures. Dawn is not only talented, but also very friendly, easy to work with, and very responsive.
Her photos are breathtakingly beautiful, and she makes you and your significant other feel comfortable in every way. Even though she is busy, she had a very quick turnaround time with the photos. The photos she took of me and my husband look like they came out of a magazine! We're in awe every time we look at them. We're so grateful we had Dawn as our photographer on our wedding day! We'll be able to cherish those photos and memories forever now, thanks to her.
Highly highly recommend Dawn as your photographer! You will love her, just as much as we do! -

I found Dawn through Instagram and immediately we both loved her work. Dawn was able to help us pick the best location and time of day for the weather since it was getting colder and darker. On the day of, My husband and I were a bit nervous because we've never taken pictures before. We hiked up the mountain with Dawn and once we arrived at the top the view blew us away. It was the most incredible location we had ever seen. Dawn made taking pictures feel fun and easy, and we were giggling and having a blast the whole time. We then moved to another location on a river, which was also extremely beautiful and felt like it was out of a scene of a movie. The whole day was honestly such a dream, and neither of us could believe how fast it flew by. When we got our previews back we were once again blown away by Dawn's beautiful work. Our families loved to be able to see the gorgeous pictures and enjoy it with us. We can't wait to get the rest of the pictures and eventually hang them in our home and enjoy them for years. :) -

The absolute best!
It's hard to even know where to begin. Dawn was so much more than a photographer for us. She was a source of encouragement and sage advice, and honestly our matron of honor! When our wedding plans deteriorated about a month before our intended date, Dawn was the first vendor I called. She was calming, reassuring and 100% there for us. After having a heart to heart, she was like "l got you! Let's plan the elopement of your dreams!" and without skipping a beat or renegotiating our contract, she pulled together a magical day that was so perfectly us, so special and so stress- free! I honestly don't know what we would have done without her!
Dawn as a photographer is A-MAZING! Her photos speak for themselves. She truly is an artist, capturing the right lighting, angles and composition in every shot with such organic ease. Her presence is so comforting and relaxing, we felt natural being around her and had so much fun too!
All I can say is that Dawn is honestly the GREATEST and best decision we made in our entire wedding planning process. If you are looking for an amazingly talented, well organized and go with the flow photographer, then Dawn is your lady! You will be so happy you chose her!

When we were first looking for a photographer for our wedding, we knew almost immediately we wanted to choose Dawn based on her portfolio and how stunning her photos are. Her outdoorsy and adventurous vibe was exactly what we were looking for and we loved that she had the flexibility to go between Colorado and New York. As expected, Dawn’s photos from our wedding were INCREDIBLE! She captured our day perfectly and we could not be happier with her photos. But not only is her work incredible, Dawn was our go-to person for support and advice during the pandemic which really meant the most to us. We ended up having to re-plan and reschedule our wedding 3 times and Dawn was there for us every step of the way. Incredible is an understatement!!!
If you want breathtaking, high-quality photos of your biggest life moments... you’ll have a hard time finding anyone better than Dawn. Her creative eye for detail and beauty reflect in every photograph. Not only is Dawn talented, she’s so fun to be around and immediately puts you at ease. I cannot rave enough about how amazing she was to work with. My now husband and I have never had any professional pictures taken before but she made the entire day so natural for us and we are so grateful for that! There are no words to express the beauty and art of the photographs Dawn took. Throughout our intimate elopement wedding day, Dawn was prepared with a timeline to keep everything flowing smoothly and adventured with us to multiple locations throughout the day. There are so many beautiful spots around the Lake Placid area and Dawn knew exactly where she wanted to take us. There is no doubt she puts a ton of effort and thought into the locations she takes her couples, but also has a knack for finding spontaneous locations as we drove around together. The entire day felt more like spending time with a good friend, than a formal photo session. We have no doubt that going forward we will look to book Dawn for every event in our lives together. Dawn is more than a photographer. Her wedding expertise and experience really shines throughout the whole day. She's your hype gal, impromptu day-of-event coordinator, and a collaborator.
Dawn went out of her way to make my wedding so stress-free. I opted out of having a bridal party, and she kindly volunteered to help with so many tasks ranging from bustling my train when needed to locating utensils for cake cutting.
She was incredibly easy to talk to and was so receptive of any ideas I had. The love she has for her work comes through and we have so many beautiful and memorable photos (and experiences!) because of her.
Besides marrying my now-husband, trusting Dawn and her creative vision was one of the best wedding decisions I made! -

Dawn is the best!
Booking Dawn was the best decision we made while planning our wedding. After booking our venue, Dawn was the first big decision we made and definitely the easiest. Her work speaks for itself and we knew instantly after seeing her photos that we wanted to work with her. From our first meeting she made us feel completely at ease and confident in her abilities. Leading up to our wedding day she was so responsive and always seemed genuinely excited to plan the details with us. She provided us with different timeline options in order to make sure the day would go smoothly. Our wedding day was perfect and that was largely a part to Dawn Honsky. Our wedding was on the bigger side. We both had large bridal parties and come from big families so we were very impressed on how well Dawn accommodated everybody’s requests and kept the flow of the day moving without ever making us feel overwhelmed. She is very talented and we hope that we have the chance to work with her again in the future. It’s been one month since our wedding and we have already received so many photos in our client portal. The pictures are absolutely spectacular and better than anything we could have ever imagined. It has been so much fun to relive the day through her photographs.

Where do I even start with Dawn.... as soon as I found her instagram, I felt instantly connected to her photos. She captures couples so well, you FEEL the love radiating through her work. I knew we absolutely had to have Dawn photograph our wedding.
Dawn worked perfectly in sync with all of our vendors, capturing all of the beautiful details of our day with such flow. Our photos are breathtaking and we are so grateful to have such beautiful memories we get to cherish forever.

Couldn’t have asked for better!
Dawn is just THE BEST. I can’t describe it another way! Just looking at her work you know she’s an amazing photographer. Her work speaks for itself! Looking back, I’m so happy I had Dawn as my photographer because her calm, easygoing, and comforting personality puts you at ease on the big day!
