I cannot recommend Dawn Eicher enough as a wedding photographer! From the moment we booked her, she went above and beyond to ensure our special day was captured flawlessly. Our wedding gallery is an absolute dream - I find myself constantly staring at the images, reliving every emotion and moment.
Dawn has an incredible talent for capturing vibrant colors and genuine emotions. Every photo from our ceremony is filled with so much warmth and love, it's like being transported back to that magical moment. She has a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every shot is perfect and truly represents the essence of the day.
One of the things that impressed us most was Dawn's ability to make everyone feel comfortable and at ease, even during the chaos of family portraits. She kept the atmosphere light and fun, even managing to coax a smile out of our little nephew who was overdue for his nap!
But perhaps the most unforgettable part of our experience with Dawn was the sunset photos she took us for after the ceremony. She whisked us away to a secluded beach where we were greeted by the most breathtaking sunset I've ever seen. And as if that wasn't magical enough, three sea turtles made an appearance, turning our photoshoot into something straight out of a fairy tale.
Dawn's passion for her craft is evident in every shot she takes, and her dedication to capturing the beauty and emotion of our special day is truly commendable. Her pictures are hands down the most stunning collection of visual memories we could have imagined. She seemed to magically be everywhere at all times, flawlessly capturing every moment of our ceremony and celebration. When we received our pictures (in record time, no less) we were genuinely blown away. It's been a couple of months and we still have not been able to narrow down the options for ordering our album or prints because every photo looks and feels so perfect.
Her poise is the calm in the storm we all need on our wedding day. She made everything so natural and comfortable, which allowed her to also collect so many fun candid moments. Nothing ever felt awkward, staged or contrived, which seems practically impossible to have pulled off.
Her likeability is off the charts. This matters because your photographer is essentially your shadow on your big day. He/she will be everywhere you are. Our wedding was a very small intimate, family member affair, yet Dawn seamlessly blended right in, from the very first minute, as if we had known her for years. She was funny, warm and just an absolute joy to be around.
We all know wedding expectations are often sky high. Yet Dawn truly soared far past our hopes on every level. -

Look no further!
If you are looking for a wedding photographer, just stop right here! Dawn is INCREDIBLE. I promise you will not regret working with her. I've been trying to find the right words to describe how amazing she was to work with and I found that words won't do her justice. She was an amazing sounding board when talking through the timeline of the day, and very responsive! On the day of the wedding it felt like we had known each other for a long time already! She made everyone VERY comfortable and was extremely kind. We received our photos back in just a few weeks and they are exquisite. You can relive the emotion of the day through her photos. 3 months later and we still haven't been able to make printing decisions because we love TOO MANY OF them! What a great problem to have. 10/10 recommendation for working with Dawn! She is worth it! -

Dawn was fantastic! I'd been searching for a photographer who had experience photographing PoC and interracial couples. Our wedding photos are gorgeous! We were so happy with how she captured us. Her style is journalistic photograhy - she captures real moments and gives them an editorialized glow. Images appear vibrant, realistic and sophisticated. On our wedding day, she made us feel at ease in front of the camera, we never felt awkward. 14 days after our wedding we had our full wedding photographs delievered to us - fully edited and curated. That was 750 beautiful images! If you have ideas, communicate them and she will make them happen. Shes a great collaborator; we also had a videography team and the two of them worked so well together. No stepping on each others toes. She is a phenomenal photographer, you will not regret choosing her! -

Dawn did an amazing job with not only taking our pictures but with the whole process! We were very comfortable around her, she listened to us and helped us get an amazing photo on the lava rocks which is better than I could have dreamed of. We also got our wedding photos back very quickly and I am obsessed with them. Very professional and she always got back to me very quickly if i had any questions. She showed up on wedding day ready to go and very prepared. Loved Dawn and highly recommend her!! -

Dawn is absolutely fantastic - a quintessential professional. We highly recommend her. Our wedding was at the Royal Kona Resort, and she works very well with the staff there and is extremely knowledgeable about the best photography locations around the resort. We were working on a budget and were only able to have her for two hours. She definitely made the most out of her time there and was able to organize our friends and family to capture great images in a short period of time. She is so warm and friendly and made us feel very comfortable from the beginning. We plan on hiring her again for our one-year anniversary photographs. Dawn was a life saver for our wedding. After covid postponed our wedding 3 times, our original photographer bailed, leaving us 10 days to find a photographer. Dawn gave up her Mothers Day to be there for us. I wish Dawn was doing wedding photography when we chose our photographer in 2019. When I say life saver I mean it. Not only did she show up on time but she came with the best attitude. Nothing but smiles. She truly understood our desires of having candid photos being the main goal. The pictures came out better than I could have imagined. You can tell when looking at the pictures she has a true talent and passion for this line of work. She is something special. Not only that but she helped with the timeline. When we wanted to relax a bit longer during cocktail hour she notified the chef to delay dinner a bit. I couldn't believe the amount of effort she put in to make our day special. Spare yourself the headache and time and just book Dawn! You will not regret it! -

Dawn was absolutely the best choice we could have made to photograph our wedding. She is incredibly talented. Her photos are jaw droppingly beautiful. Dawn made us feel at ease and helped guide us into positions for gorgeous photos that didn’t feel posed - we got to just be ourselves.
We got married at the Royal Kona Resort and she was ready with suggestions for where to do our 'first look' photos and backup options for others. She was great to communicate with the days/weeks/months leading up to our wedding. We didn't have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day related to our photos. She was right there and captured the magic of our wedding day perfectly. 100% would choose her again, we're so unbelievably happy she decided to photograph our wedding for us!!!! -

When it comes to choosing the perfect photographer for your wedding, trust me you will need someone who is not only capable of shooting stunning photos but also capable of enabling you to chill, have fun and be the most natural self for your big day!
Dawn is THE ONE! We were so lucky to have her shooting for our beach wedding on Big Island. From the pre-event communications, to the day of, and to the post-production, Dawn made us feel that we were in good hands throughout (and the final products have proved that we were 😉)! She is very flexible and adaptive, and with her experience and knowledge in shooting for weddings, it was so enjoyable for us and for other of our vendors to work with her! Being an expert with a creative mind, she was humble and happy to build upon our ideas and made sure to capture the moments that we were not able to see.
My parents unfortunately couldn't make it to our wedding due to the pandemic but after I shared the wedding photos that Dawn took for us, my mom said "I felt like I didn't miss a thing because the photographer captured every precious moments!".
Last but not least, Dawn really cares! On the day of, she's like a big sister who wants to make the day as smooth as possible. Beyond her photographer's job, she was also running around making sure my vails was attached correctly (cuz it might fly away by the beach!), and me and my husband stay hydrated, etc. She even helped our videographer carried her bag down to the venue from the bride's prep room.
Dawn made our big day magical and I'm sure she will make yours too! -

quality, professional, easy, timelines
My fiance and I had never taken professional photos so I did not know what to expect. Dawn instantly broke the ice and connected with us in such a wonderful way that we had no idea by time our shoot was done, we had spent that time taking pictures! It was the best experience I could have ever imagined. I highly recommend doing at least the hour shoot with two locations. The pictures were incredible that we got back. Not to mention, we got them back so quickly and we live on Maui where she did our photos. I am so happy I chose Dawn Eicher Photography and we will choose her time and time again. Dawn is a must have!
Dawn Eicher was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding at the Royal Kona Resort in Hawaii on November 13, 2021. Dawn was responsive, punctual, professional and just amazingly comfortable to work with. Dawn guided our family for the wedding and reception photos and captured one of the most important life events perfectly. We received our photos in the rime frame as promised.

Dawn and her husband did the photography and videography for our destination wedding in Kona. I knew I picked the right photographer for me because every time I looked at her portfolio online her photos made me cry and I loved how she captured the light. When we received the photos for our own wedding, we were blown away! So many amazing photos! She captured every moment of the day perfectly. We had a small wedding, but to me, photography was the most important part of our day knowing that we wanted to be able to share that with all of our friends and family who weren’t there with us and when I showed them the photos, they really felt like they were there to experience every aspect of our special day. I cannot say enough about the sunset photos either…INCREDIBLE! BREATHTAKING! I have never felt so beautiful. Thank you so much! As I mentioned we also had Dawn’s husband do the videography/drone footage and we chose to have the full ceremony video and highlight film and that was amazing as well. They worked with the vendors and minister that we chose regularly, so everything went smoothly and the day was perfectly choreographed without feeling like it was. Dawn made the planning from afar easy with plenty of communication and I really feel like she had a true understanding of what I wanted for our event and even though we just met the day before our event, I felt very comfortable working with her and her husband. Everything felt easy from start to finish, the hardest part was narrowing down our favorite photos for the album because there were just so many amazing photos to chose from. -

The best ever! Dawn was the KEY role in solidifying my big surprise proposal. So look no further bc there's not enough stars to rate Dawn as highly as she deserves! She has many connections, which helped lead me to where we ended up doing the surprise proposal. What an amazing experience it was to have Dawn by my side helping me and giving honest professional advice to really make this the best day of our lives and how to best capture this precious moment. From beginning to end, she was nothing short of perfection. We did a surprise engagement photo shoot in addition to a sunset photo shoot, both perfect! Best photographer ever!
Christine and I decided to elope and get married in Hawaii. We didn’t have much time to plan, but we made it happen. We needed someone to capture our special day. I first looked on Yelp for wedding photographers. Dawn came up as 1 of the top 5 photographers in Kailua-Kona. After reading the reviews and going through her portfolio, we decided we needed to have Dawn as our photographer. Christine and I were ecstatic Dawn would be available for our special day on such short notice. She’s was responsive and listened to our needs. Dawn was also recommended to us by our wedding planner Maggie.
The day of the wedding, Dawn knocked on our hotel room door with a huge smile. She’s super approachable and most of all funny. You can tell Dawn is extremely passionate about capturing that special moment. And it shows in almost every picture she takes. When Dawn showed us the completed photos, Christine and I were extremely happy. Dawn exceeded our expectations.

Dawn was absolutely amazing to work with for our Hawaii honeymoon shoot. She knew the best beaches with exactly what we were looking for (lava rocks, white sand, no crowds) and we even had a turtle surprise us that day for our photoshoot.
She helped us pose naturally by suggesting different things, and made us both feel super comfortable during the whole 1 hour shoot. We are so so happy with the outcome of our photos and this will be something we will remember forever. The turn around time was quick with editing our photos, along with how many we got and we got a ton of variety to choose from. Lighting and edits were wonderful and flattering with my white wedding dress. We are so happy with them! No complaints here. Definitely recommend Dawn if you'd like to capture some special memories in Hawaii and have a fun time doing that! Thank you! -

Big Island Elopement
I cannot recommend Dawn Eicher Photography enough! My partner and I eloped in Kailua-Kona when our wedding had to be postponed during COVID. We were so lucky to have Dawn recommended to us - and to our excitement - and available the morning of our elopement day. She took the most beautiful photos of us that I didn’t even realize how much I’d love until I saw them. She made the whole process incredibly relaxing and fun, and helped us choose a perfect location. She’s so talented! -

Gorgeous Wedding Pictures!!!!
Planning a destination wedding under normal circumstances can be challenging but in the midst of a pandemic can be a logistical nightmare! Dawn with Pink Pineapple Weddings put our concerns to rest and made planning our big day a seamless and easy process!
My husband Cody and I married on 12/5/2020 in a private ceremony on Ironwoods Beach in Maui. We had a vision of what we wanted our wedding day and post celebrations to look like but needed help working out some of the details. We were engaged in July 2020 and figured why wait? Let’s run off to a warm, tropical beach and get married in December! This didn’t leave us a lot of time to plan. We decided to retreat to Maui, just the two of us, and invite friends and family to attend our ceremony virtually through a livestream. I shared some ideas and concepts with Dawn and she ran with them! She partnered with local vendors to ensure that our flowers, leis, hair and makeup, cake, etc. were exactly what we wanted and fit into our budget. Dawn and her husband Mike (our wedding officiant- Bigislandofficiant.com)were so helpful. They kept us informed with the ever-changing COVID travel restrictions and requirements. We successfully arrived in Maui a few days before our wedding was to take place. Mike and Dawn met us to scout beaches for our ceremony and firm up last minute details. We had so much fun!
A few days later, our day was finally here! From getting ready to exchanging “I do’s”, our day could not have been more perfect! Our ceremony was beautiful and went off without a hitch! The photoshoot following was a blast! We rented a 57’ Porsche Roadster to use in our pictures and to drive to dinner. Dawn took so many pictures making sure to document all of our special moments. We went to dinner at Merriman’s (one of Dawn’s recommendations). We enjoyed a delicious celebratory dinner and toasted with Liliko’i Mai Tai’s to our forever!
The next morning we met Dawn and Mike for our “final plunge/trash the dress” photoshoot at Black Rock. What better way to solidify our vows and commitment to each other than to take a 30’ leap off of a giant lava rock?! Dawn snapped away, capturing our adventure while Mike cheered us on and made sure our phone/video camera was rolling! So fun and exhilarating!!!!
Our wedding weekend (ceremony, post celebrations, and jump) was absolutely amazing! Dawn was quick to get us “sneak peeks” of the pictures she had taken on our wedding day and of our jump at Black Rock so that we had them to share with friends and family right away! Within just a few weeks, Dawn emailed the remainder of our professionally edited photos. They are stunning and we couldn’t be happier with her work! She is so creative and detail oriented that she didn’t miss a thing! We are so grateful to have shared our wedding weekend with Dawn and Mike. They made our whole experience so wonderful! They are both delightful people and a pleasure to work with and be around. Mike is an absolute character with a great sense of humor! He is sure to keep you laughing! Dawn is fun, organized, and very helpful. She will make sure things are getting done as planned. She will run interference with vendors and prevent unwanted, stressful wedding day issues. We loved spending time with them!

Engagement Photos December 2020
What first drew me to Dawn is her amazing portfolio of work! She is so talented, I was instantly drawn to the vibrancy of color in her photos and how the vibrant she kept backdrops of Hawaii while still keeping focus on the couples (I mean it’s so important when you choose beautiful a place to take photos right!?! 😊) Not only is Dawn talented, but she is equally professional and goes out of her way to provide the highest level of customer service. We were navigating our trip to Kona through the safe travels program during the pandemic and Dawn was so accommodating from booking and even after the shoot. We got exactly what we had hoped for and more! Thank you Dawn!! -

Planning a wedding in 2020 was scary... until we decided to go with Dawn! From day one, Dawn was there for EVERY SINGLE STEP. She was generous with her time, helping us plan our elopement on the Big Island while we were in CT. She was very responsive when we had questions and flexible when plans changed due to the delays in traveling. She helped me find a makeup and hair stylist (which worked out perfect), delivered the bouquet and hakus for me and my little girl from a local florist (the most beautiful, tropical, arrangements, I’ve laid eyes on), helped us pick out a delicious cake from a world renowned chef and EVEN picked up my fiancée so we could have our “first-look moment” on the beach. She really took the stress out of it all and it was more than we could’ve asked for.
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous posing. I have three poses at best so I wasn’t confident if I could deliver when the camera was on. But Dawn has a talent with her clients. She made us feel as if we were the only ones on the beach, in our bubble. I admire her art in making people feel so confident and comfortable. She was even able to make our 10 month old smile for a few pictures, which turned out to be the best family photo we have.
I can’t say it enough. Our day was magical and beyond anything we could’ve ever imagined and a big part of that is because of Dawn and her team (we love Mike). If you are thinking about it, just do it! She knows all the spots and all the right people. She is IT!

Dawn Eicher is a fantastic and incredibly friendly photographer and event organizer. She is so talented and passionate about her work and it reflects in everything that she does. I am so fortunate to have her and her husband Mike help us through our wedding and helping our family and friends feel so comfortable throughout the process. Dawn was phenomenal to work with! We are so happy we decided to have her capture our special day. After inquiring with many photographers on the island, she stood out to us. Her photographic style is unparalleled - soft, romantic edits that capture warmth, glow, emotion and love, and the perfect balance of candid and posed shots. And, her warmth and kindness is immediate. She went above and beyond to make our day more than perfect. And, every moment and interaction with her was positive and full of Aloha. From the beginning, Dawn was responsive to our inquiry for booking. Within a day, we had a contract to review and everything was organized in one secure electronic page on HoneyBook. Dawn setup a time to talk with us over the phone and identify the goals of our intimate elopement and photographic preferences. And, she put us immediately at ease with any concerns we expressed. She even adapted the creative styles and sample shots we were looking for and incorporated it into our photography session.
During the day of the ceremony, Dawn promptly arrived to deliver first looks with the B&G and generously offered to drive us to our beach wedding site and back! We were blown away by her adaptability to changing situations, as they took hold, and her ability to creatively problem solve as timing of the ceremony changed. She spent more time than allotted for us to capture our high priority moments during golden hour and at dusk to capture a few final family photos. And, we were taken aback by her unwavering commitment to honor love through her photographs and are beyond grateful to have found her and included her in our special day. It was more than we could have ever imagined and are so happy Dawn was front and center in capturing our wedding. While planning my Hawaii wedding last year, I fell in love with Dawn Eicher’s photography work. We ended up booking our wedding at Royal Kona Resort and I was very disappointed Dawn wasn’t listed as a vendor. So I picked the vendor with the closest style. Imagine my surprise when, on my wedding day, Dawn shows up!! (She contracts with this company). From the start Dawn had such a relaxing demeanor that made everyone feel comfortable being photographed. She made sure she knew what elements of the wedding were most important to us to ensure those things were photographed. Her ability to capture the most candid moments and expressions is second to none. Bonus: she was so patient and kind with our 18 month old...she knew all the tricks to get her to cooperate. As a person, she is so personable and easy to deal with. She goes out of her way and what’s expected to make sure her clients are happy and satisfied. She personally hand edits her own photos to perfect the image - a definite bonus to other large companies - and the end result is far beyond amazing. We highly recommend Dawn to anyone interested and will definitely book a shoot with her next time we are on the Big island. -

Exceptional Quality!
So I've put this review off by 5 months but mostly because I was concerned that I couldn't write a good enough review. From the get go Dawn stood out from the rest. I am in Canada and wanted to plan an elopement with a few guests without ever having stepped foot on the Big island and she was the only photographer that jumped in with ideas right away instead of just sending me the price list and saying choose one. She was super patient and helpful in sending me tons of ideas/photos when I was searching for the perfect out of the ordinary location. Trust me I looked at everything from hiking, beaches to waterfalls and heli rides! Not to mention she was willing to go everywhere! She also steered me clear of a near disaster in moving my location due to another vendor; even calling them on my behalf and recommending someone that could make it happen for me. I was very touched by this and she reminded me that we did not have to 'settle' on our big day. In the end, we just showed up and got married and it was perfect. If I ever had to do it again I'd hire her as my planner and everything. It was that easy, I tell everyone I had the most relaxing stress-less day and recommend her to anyone. If you need more planned, or something out of the box she has all the connections to make it happen, all with a smile. Oh and the photos!!! They were fantastic, we received far more than expected and cannot be happier with the quality and ability to show our true personalities. I'm really picky and I LOVE them. In fact, we hope to see her again in the future. Mahalo! -

Dawn was amazing to work with! She had such a positive attitude and she helped us feel really comfortable in front of the camera. We had some rain on our wedding day, but Dawn helped us stay calm. All of the photos from the wedding are beautiful, and there are a lot of them! From our first look photos in the orange orchard to our family photos with the ocean behind, they are all gorgeous. Our couples photos are the nicest we have ever looked as a couple and she captured the perfect lighting. She did a great job moving around, photographing all of the guests and different parts of the wedding party. We will definitely hire her again for any photo shoot needs we may have in the future. -

An example, I needed a steamer to get all the wrinkles out of my wedding dress before my wedding and she offered to lend me her steamer. What can I say about DAWN! Not only did she totally get my vision and I'm so extremely excited about my pics and how amazing they came out, but for our 10 yr anniversary vow renewal we decided to come to Hawaii for the first time and she also help me find my officiant Tom, videographer, and gave suggestions for places for our dinner to follow. From the time that we found Dawn Eicher and Mike Eicher with Pink Pineapple Weddings everything seemed to fall into place instantly and that wasn’t just luck- it was all of because of Dawn and Mike! The two of them brought so much of my now husband’s and my own personality to the wedding and went beyond anything we could have dreamed of for our wedding day all while planning this from 2,500 miles away!
From the beginning they helped take the stress off of our shoulders by providing venue locations for every budget, recommendations on anything from cakes to florist to hair and makeup artist- you name it these two can get it for your special day!
Having a destination wedding can be stressful and worrisome when you may not have the luxury of seeing the location in person until right before the wedding or even tasting cakes or having trial runs done before the big day. Let me ease your minds- we were shown a variety of different venues, shown how lighting and time of day would make our wedding look, sent updated videos of the venue we chose throughout the planning process, and they even met with us a couple of days before the wedding at the venue to show us how it would all come together! Their email and phone correspondence was quick and their prices very reasonable.
They made it so easy on us that all we had to do on our special day was live in the moment and soak it all in! It was huge for me that none of my family would have to do anything as far as setting up or tearing down wedding decor- and not to worry Mike and Dawn made sure that would not happen. They had the chairs set up, the isle created, flowers delivered and even personalized a toast for us in the end! We were even able to add sentimental touches to the ceremony by having our ceremony recorded and having Mike incorporate a prayer written by our family back home!
When it came to Mike officiating the ceremony, he brought in such a relaxing environment all while incorporating the Hawaiian traditions as well as allowing us to customize the ceremony with our own twist. It was a huge relief that we did not have the typical monotone ceremony with the audio cutting in and out. He made sure everything was perfect: his volume, clarity and charisma shown throughout the ceremony! It seems as though he had thought of everything to make the ceremony the best it could be. He even stood by our guest while he was officiating the wedding so that way our families were not looking at our backs the whole time.
Now for the pictures- it takes a talented person to make you cry just by showing you a picture on her camera that was just taken of you and your significant other. Dawn knew just how to bring out our photogenic sides. She was able to capture those flirtatious glances, adoring eyes and proud smiles. The saying a picture is worth a thousand words never rang true until I saw the pictures that she captured of us. She had the lighting perfected and the backdrop set perfectly in every frame. I am still amazed how she managed to capture all the little moments throughout the day!
Now that our Wedding Day is behind us all I can say is WOW! Dawn and Mike went above and beyond all of our expectations and made our wedding a dream come true! We love how they made the ceremony fit us and still brought in their thoughtfulness and creativity to the mix! Love Love Love Pink Pineapple Weddings! The two of them are so thoughtful and kind that they make you feel as though you have known them for years.
I could go on and on about how the two of these people made our dreams come true but the truth is is that there could never be enough words I could say to even begin to explain how perfect they made our experience! My heart is so happy knowing that our special day was everything we both wanted and more! -

Incredible Experience in Every Aspect
I didn’t meet Dawn until the day before my wedding. She flew to Oregon to photograph our big day, based on a fairly casual friendship with my now husband. I’ll admit to being a little nervous; Oregon doesn’t have naturally gorgeous backdrops like Hawaii & it’s a much different climate. Also, as a bride it was nerve wracking having only conversed with our photographer a few times. That’s not to say Dawn was unwilling to talk; once she even took my call minutes after she finished another event. She’s easy to talk to, kind, reassuring and wonderful.
As for my experience with her: Dawn blew my hopes out of the water. She quickly became not only our photographer, but a general directing troops wedding day (in the best possible way) and finally a confident I could talk to when our huge wedding overwhelmed me for a minute. She handled our drunken bridesmaid, our whiny dog & our huge wedding party with grace, poise & professionalism.
She gave us edited sneak peeks the night of the wedding. And they are AMAZING! Looking at my pictures I see the love I hold for my husband, perfectly captured more beautifully than I could have imagined. To say I recommend Dawn is laughably underwhelming; I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. -

I will start this review honest. I know Dawn personally. However, she flew to Oregon to photograph our wedding. Regardless of knowing her or not this review is not bias. It has been fun to watch Dawn's photos on her Facebook page leading up to our wedding. We asked her to do our wedding about 15-18 months in advance. At first it was a dream to have her but it actually worked out to where she could come to Oregon. She was super attentive at our wedding and worked non stop to get the photographs that we desired. She is VERY friendly but the right amount of "bossy" to get that perfect shot. As of now we have only got the sneak peaks (not complaining) but we LOVE what we see so far. Although she is super busy she has a great response time. We can't wait for a Hawaii trip to have her take some photographs of us. We (my wife and I) highly recommend her. -

Like getting photos taken by a friend, but way better
Dawn was an absolute dream to work with. We got along with her immediately and she did a fantastic job of making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. In addition, her technical skills are on point, and she really brought out the best of both of us (and our guests) through both her photos and the post processing that she did after the fact. And she's fast! She was able to get us pictures to share with friends and family (and our Thank You cards) very quickly. Given the chance, we'd definitely hire her again. -

AMAZING Experience for Our Kona Wedding
We got married on the big island of Hawaii (site unseen), and Dawn helped make the entire experience easy and stress free. She was with us every step of the way from the early planning process to ensure that we planned around the time of sunset and any logistical challenges we may face, to the wedding day itself, where she captured all of our special moments before and during the wedding. Wonderful & Skilled Big Island Photographer!
From the moment I spoke to Dawn, I knew she was the photographer I wanted to help capture our engagement on the Big Island. Never having visited Kona, the variety of options for places to propose was overwhelming, but Dawn helped me narrow down my list to places that were beautiful at sunset but would still allow us to be close to our hotel so my proposal could be a before dinner surprise. She was available to speak by phone several times to help me understand the pros and cons of each potential proposal setting. This was well above and beyond what I expected. Dawn and I decided on exactly what I was looking for and she even set up a trail of fresh plumeria from her own garden and set it up to mark a trail to the spot. A few days before, she sent a map of the exact spot to me.
Now for the most important part, our photos turned out to be stunning. I am someone who is discerning and usually consider several options before deciding on who to go with. I looked through many many galleries before deciding on Dawn. Her combination of experience shooting proposals/couples and her knowledge of the area helped choose the perfect setting and lighting conditions. I chose to have shoot the proposal with a shorter set and then have a longer engagement shoot the following evening so my fiancée would have the chance to choose her outfit and the setting. While these were engagement photos (as opposed to a full wedding), Dawn treated us so well. We communicated directly with her and she was the photographer who took our photos - rather than an assistant or someone from her company.
Dawn rushed us a few handpicked photos the next day so we could display them at our engagement party when we returned home, which was a very nice touch. The remainder of the gallery was sent to us within a few weeks as was promised. I emailed her a few times following our return home and she always replied promptly and graciously.
This was the first time my fiancée and I had anyone take professional photos of us and the experience was perfect. The result was a set of photos that will help is remember our engagement forever. Dawn was a pleasure to work with and exceptionally skilled at her craft. Hearing her life story and the way she found herself in photography was an additional reason we were so happy to work with her and support her. We will be back on the Big Island and hope to hire Dawn again for other milestones in our life! She has our highest recommendation. I am certain that you will not be disappointed choosing her as your photographer. -

Absolutely recommend!
Dawn is nothing short of incredible.
We’d flown over to Hawaii from Australia and were completely at the mercy of our planner and Dawn. It turns out that this was exactly the thing thing to do.
Dawn took the most beautiful photos. They’re intimate whist still being incredibly polished.
She knew all the best ways and places for hus and I to stand and do- which left is with absolutely incredible results.

Seriously the Best Ever!
Dawn was so responsive and willing to chat through everything before we even booked her. She was so open and had great ideas. Choosing your photographer is so important. Photos are one of the only things that you can hold onto after the day (besides each other of course!) so I wanted one that was not only an excellent photographer, but was someone I wanted to spend all day with! In Dawn I found both (and her prices were super reasonable!) We chatted multiple times leading up to the event and she met us the day before at our rehearsal. That was really nice so that we could see where she envisioned different shots and gave me a good idea of what to expect. Then the day of our wedding she was early, cool, calm, and collected. While I was none of those things! She truly put me at ease when I was stressed about the time and miraculously kept us on schedule without rushing. She made us feel like friends and like our wedding was the best ever. Dawn has this amazing way of just making you feel your best which is exactly what you want on your big day. And then we got our pics! And OMG we could not stop smiling and gushing over how great they are. She sent them on time and the quality was fantastic. If you are considering booking Dawn, just do it! Everything you want and more!
Dawn was AMAZING, and incredibly reasonably priced! I initially contacted for engagement photos while in Hawaii, but my fiancé’s family also wanted family photos. She was SO flexible with getting everyone the photos they wanted from engagement, large and small family, and expecting! I am in LOVE with our “sneak peak” photos, and cannot wait to see the rest! Her eye was fantastic and the locations were stunning! I would highly recommend for any of your photography needs! -
