David Coulter was amazing! He was very communicative and professional from the beginning and was able to handle a 400 person wedding by himself. We worked well with our videographer and the pictures were beautiful. He established a timeline with time the day of so all pictures would get done on time and he made me feel at ease the day off . I Would recommend him to anyone!

Everything about working with David was perfect, I can't recommend him enough! David photographed our wedding on July 2nd and not only was he timely and professional in his communication with me, but he is honestly one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I have ever worked with. Not to mention the photos, which were amazing! He captured the most incredible moments of not only my husband and me but of all the guests. We will treasure his photos forever. Also, he edited the photos and gave us access to them within two weeks! We were amazed at the quality and speed of his work. I wouldn't recommend anyone else to photograph your event!

My husband and I were married at Skytop Lodge,Pa.. David was amazing! He was a pleasure to work with, he knew the best spots to take us and our wedding party for the perfect portraits. We did not hire a videographer, David captured our day perfectly. He was everywhere, we have so many great photos of everyone! Our guests even commented on how nice, quick, and efficient he was. I am very excited to print my albums!!! Highly reccomend him!

David was our photographer for our wedding this month and he is just wonderful! He is so helpful even with helping my bridesmaids tie the bow on my dress haha. Hes really a delight to work with and takes wonderful pictures. He works with you to make your pictures exactly what you want. Would definitely recommend him as your photographer!

We got married on June 9, 2012 and could not be happier with our choice of photographers. David went above and beyond what we could have ever expected. We ended up with over 600 beautiful pictures that captured our special day wonderfully. David was easy to get along with, catered to what we wanted and was very pleasant to work with. The quality of the pictures is phenomenal, many of them we didn't even realize he took. He captured the numerous details that went into the planning but that we didn't necessarily see or remember until we saw the photos. There is no doubt in our minds that if we ever need a photographer, David will be our first call!! He also did a fantastic job of getting photos of all of our guests and the pictures truly showed everyone enjoying the celebration without us even knowing he was there. We highly recommend David for anyone's choice when a photographer is needed. We could go on and on about how much we enjoyed working with him and how much we love the photos. We plan to enjoy looking at them for many years to come. If you need a photographer for your wedding or for any other special occasion, David Coulter should be the first person you call!!

My husband and I got married in early October, 2011. We found David here on weddingwire.com. I was looking for a photojournalist to shoot our wedding, and his website was just stunning. I contacted David through e-mail, and he was very quick to respond. My husband is from Canada, so I knew after our marriage we would be going through immigration and I would be moving to Canada too. I knew that I needed flexibility with my wedding photographer because I didn't need a lot of things that other brides need, like albums or even actual prints. Really, I just needed beautiful pictures on a digital format, the rights to use them and fast turn around so I could include them in our immigration application. At the same time, I also didn't want my photographer "getting in the way" and I wanted to enjoy my day, to which David more than agreed.

Come the wedding day, David made the trip to Dalton, PA, which is slightly farther than he normally would go, and he was just as nice in person as he was through our e-mail correspondence (no, we didn't meet beforehand). He felt like an old friend come to take our picture. He melted into the background when needed, and yet, was right there getting all the important moments. He had no problems taking pictures on the fly either. I remember during some of the requested posed shots I saw my Aunt, cousin and her daughter walking away hand in hand, and I just thought it would be the cutest picture, so I stopped David and said "can you get that shot?". He took off running, just to make sure he got the shot I wanted. And it came out absolutely adorable, but that's the type of photographer he is, he is gracious and accommodating. On a few occasions we had to go back outside for a few more posed shots, and he never had any issues with doing that, right down to the requested last shot of my husband and I walking away into the sunset. David was just wonderful.

At the end of the day David did verify with us that we needed a fast turn around, and chatted with us about the immigration process we were about to undertake. My husband was very impressed with him and on more than one occasion remarked how much he enjoyed speaking with him. Then the very next day, David called, and surprisingly, he had already got our photos ready for us. He had gone home, and prepared them right after our wedding. We were able to pick up the disks (it was on the way to our honeymoon location otherwise he would have mailed them for us) just two short days after the wedding. That was stunning, and very much appreciated. Because of David we were able to get our immigration package in much faster than we anticipated. And the photos are fantastic. They tell the story of my wedding day. They are real and beautiful, and perfect. I really can't thank David enough. I would recommend David in a heartbeat.

I was so nervous about hiring a photographer for our wedding.
When I met David Coulter, I knew he was the perfect photographer for us. From looking at his website, I already knew he was a beautiful photographer capturing the "life" of any event he shoots. Upon meeting him, my husband and I were really struck by his laid back and friendly personality, his calming demeanor and his professionalism.
He had GREAT advice about how to make the most of his services and our time on our wedding day when it came to photographs. He was enthusiastic about what we planned for our wedding day.
On our wedding day, at no time did he become the center of attention as some photographers do... you know, up on the altar, telling bridesmaid's to fix the bride's hair, dress, etc. He knew we were simply looking for someone to capture this big party with his artistic eye and camera. From the moment he arrived to take "getting ready" shots, he made me feel at ease and even more excited about the day.
I LOVE the photos from our wedding. Our family loves the photos of our wedding. David preserved our day on film masterfully. I am still amazed how he managed to be in so many different places at once to snap: my nephew and I high-fiving after he drove the paddle boat under a water fountain, my boss and his wife dancing up a storm, the full moon and sparklers, my great uncle and his namesake nephew, and a few people dancing on tables and chairs. There are lots of photos of kisses that my husband and I thought we were stealing when no one was looking. I never knew I was being photographed. That, to me, is the mark of an amazing photographer.
We are so appreciative for David being a part of our wedding day. At the end of the night, we asked to pose in a picture with him. (He handed off his camera to a very trusted friend.) The photo of the three of us is as much a part of the happy memories of the day as many others.
I recommend David Coulter with no reservations.

We first met David when he was the photographer at my brother's wedding in August of 2009. We thought he was so friendly and courteous and fit in so well with our family and friends. Then when we saw the amazing photographs/moments David captured at my brother’s wedding, we knew that we wanted him to also be a part of our wedding day.

We were married in late September 2010 in Waterville, PA at Little Pine Creek State Park. If you are not aware, this is fairly far from Stroudsburg (where my family and my husband’s family live). I was so pleased, thankful, and reassured when David was more than willing to drive out to Waterville to be our photographer! It was an absolutely beautiful day and David did such a wonderful job spotting and catching all the little details and special moments. He was so personable and easy to approach, yet very unobtrusive and discreet. My husband and I highly recommend David. You will not be disappointed!

We got married in early September of 2010 in Stroudsburg, PA. Though not far from where my husband's family is and only a couple of hours from my parents in NYC, we were doing everything long distance, from our home in Arlington, VA. We knew we would have to settle on a location, officiant, cake, photographer, etc., nerve-wracking decisions for any bride, but we had to choose all of these sight unseen. And, as my husband reminded me, "none of it really matters, it will all be over in about 36 hours, except for the photographer, that's actually important." But as it turned out, photography was the easiest decision we made. David came to us through two recommendations, our officiant and location, and while we were nervous to move forward too quickly, a glance at his website and incredible resume set us at ease immediately. My husband and I were both set on a photographer who was both artistically talented and practiced a journalistic style. But it is amazing how many preach such a background without anything to back it up: we could tell right away that David truly came from a photojournalistic perspective and would bring that to bear on our wedding. And, once we had the opportunity to talk over the phone, the rest of our concerns were set at ease. Given my husband's -- and most of family's -- discomfort with having their pictures taken, I wanted someone that my groom felt comfortable with and who wouldn't insist on a bunch of particularly set poses and posturing. Given the small size of our wedding, we knew that everyone would find their way into a picture somehow and we simply did not want to give up our entire cocktail hour to formal pictures. David knew, with only very few prompts from us, exactly what to do. After our first phone conversation, where he took the time to discuss precisely what we wanted, what our concerns were, and how nervous we were to do all of this long-distance, "photographer" became one of the first and by far the easiest thing we could cross off our list. He made us feel comfortable and settled our nerves, reminding us what was most important about our big day and how he would take care of the rest.

David came early and shot our preparations and ceremony site, keeping my husband and myself separate until the ceremony, just as he had promised. David was as far from obtrusive as can be. He helped us find the happy medium between formal and informal shots and ensured that we completed our shot list, in full, in only a few minutes -- an incredibly feat. We were almost immediately in the reception building, together with all of our guests celebrating, just as we should be and just as David promised we would be. And, throughout the reception, David seemed almost invisible. He was there, constantly snapping away, and every time I turned around to ask him for a particular shot, I found him just behind my right shoulder with a smile on his face ready to listen to my ideas. One of the first things David told us on our first phone conversation was that would be there for us, there to do what we wanted, and so we should never be afraid to call on him for a particular shot. We smiled and thanked him for the offer, but figured we would never taken him up on. And yet, when the day came and we were celebrating, so many special moments (my mother dancing with her godson, my husband's cousin slow dancing, cheek-to-cheek with his 6-month-old baby daughter come to mind, and, at the end of the night, our ring bearer asleep on his father's shoulder, sucking his thumb after tearing up the dance floor) happened right before our eyes and begged to be photographed. David caught every one, and was never, ever anything other than thrilled to shoot whatever we, or any of our guests, asked for. Even my often-demanding mother, asking for pictures of her friends and family, was greeted with a warm smile and incredibly friendly demeanor.

But that's David. He found the perfect balance between taking the lead on artistic, beautifully posed shots that I never would have thought of (but which are now among the most meaningful to us), and remaining inconspicuous and candid. And our photographs reflect that wonderful combination. It took my mother and I nearly 5 hours to decide what to put in her album -- there is simply so much that is so beautiful, it is such a difficult decision to make. David's cool ease and the comfortable feeling that he assumes meant that we have, among our collection, some of the best, most illusive family photos. We have fantastic shots of my husband, who hates having his picture taken, and of my brother-in-law, who is famous for being unwilling and unable to smile in pictures. These are things we never could have asked for, but which David achieved.

Planning a wedding is stressful and nerve-wrecking, but choosing David was the easiest and best decision we made, one that I know we will be thanking ourselves for for many, many years to come, as we flip through our albums, look at our proofs, and enjoy our beautiful framed wedding pictures scattered around our home (if only we didn't have to narrow down our selections for the albums and frames! our problem is that we want everything...)

My husband and I were married in August of 2010 and we absolutely loved David. David was the first photographer that I met with and within the first few minutes of meeting with him I knew that I did not need to look at any other photographers. He really cared about what type of photos we wanted. My husband and I told David that we wanted to make it to our cocktail hour and David made that happen. David took all of our formal photographs with our families and bridal party within about an hour and we still had more than enough photos to choose from. At the reception David was wonderful. He knew that we wanted a lot of candid action shots and he did not disappoint. I also noticed that when David saw someone taking a still shot of people David went over and also took a picture. We thought that was so nice of him and we ended up with some beautiful pictures of our friends and family.

David contacted me about 4 weeks after the wedding to let us know that our pictures were ready. We now have a nice book that contains over 400 pictures. He also gave us the pictures on two disks in low resolution. We are working on narrowing down what pictures we want to put together in an album and I know once we figure that out we can contact David and he will be more than helpful. I loved that we did not have to pick a package with David. We didn't have to pick a certain number of pictures or what size pictures we wanted without ever seeing them. My husband and I really appreciated that.

David is wonderful to work with! His calm manner was much appreciated throughout the day. He was totally unobtrusive, yet he got pictures of everything that was going on. The resulting photos are wonderful! He totally captured the essence of the event, both the physical and the emotional! David's photos captured emotions we weren't even aware were there! Having David as our photographer was absolutely one of the best decisions we made!

We were married in October, 2009. It is now May, 2011. Not only was David courteous, pleasant to deal with, professional, and responsive during the course of our wedding planning, but when I recently emailed him with a question he was all of those things all over again. To me, that is invaluable. If you are considering David for your event, do not hesitate. Not only will your pictures be beautiful, but you will have peace of mind knowing that you will not be forgotton once the bill is paid and the job is over. In my opinion the photographer is the most important person you will hire for your wedding. The day will come and go but the photos will allow you to look back on your special day forever. David was great. He provided the perfect mixture of candid and portrait style pictures. He captured moments that would have been otherwise impossible for me to see. David was also very discreet. I highly recomend him for a any wedding. You will not be disappointed.

Dave took so many amazing pictures for us! He got pictures of everything we wanted, and some things we didn't even know we wanted until we saw the pictures! Our family has had such a hard time choosing which pictures to get prints of because they are all great--and we haven't even started thinking about it yet, there are so many. Plus, he's so friendly and helpful! Dave was absolutely wonderful, and I recommend him to everyone!

We got married in June of 2006 and we knew as soon as we met with David, that he was the photographer we wanted to hire. We had a unique situation that required two ceremonies and two receptions on two different days. David listened to our needs and offered flexible solutions to capture our “two day” extravaganza.

I’ve been to several weddings where photographers are very intrusive during the ceremony and have an “in your face” style when snapping photos. I can honestly say that David is not like that. He took amazing pictures in a “ninja” like, unobtrusive fashion. It was a perfect blend of the formal portraits we requested, along with the candid pictures that are absolutely fantastic! Going through all the pictures, we were impressed that he seemed to capture every guest that attended our wedding(s). His pictures were all so good, we are still struggling to narrow them down to create an album…

We highly recommend David. He is a true professional and an expert photographer!

We were very pleased with David's photography of our wedding. He was very professional, responsive, and helpful during the consultation and planning process. On the day of the wedding, he was always in the background snapping away, but was never the least bit intrusive or in the way. As a result, he captured some great photos of our wedding day.
Afterwards, we also really appreciated that the photos were posted online on his website so that all of our wedding guests could browse through them and order prints if desired.
Overall, we were very happy with David's photography and service and would certainly recommend him to other couples looking for a quality photographer for their wedding day.
