Great Photographer for our big day

David was a great vendor to work with from our engagement shoot to planning the particulars for the wedding day. The quality of his photography was impressive and he had a knack for capturing some great moments and unique angles. He was competitively priced and had a quick turn-around on sending us the photographs. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic Wedding Photographer

David is a dream to work with! We hired him for our wedding last month, and he and his assistant were prompt, easy to coordinate with, responsive, and fun! They were pros throughout the entire event, even managing our rowdy wedding party. Our photos were back to us within the same month (!) and they are absolutely stunning. Thank you for capturing these special memories for us, David!

Amazing photographer!

Amazing photographer!

David completely exceeded my expectations! My husband and I booked our engagement shoot with him, then used him for our wedding, as well. I knew looking through his pictures that I would love his work. Neither my husband or I liked to be photographed, but David made us completely comfortable and made the process so easy. He was easy going and accommodating and completely captured everything amazing about our wedding. I couldn't be happier with our pictures and I'm so glad that we got the opportunity to work with David! I definitely recommend him to any couple for their engagement/wedding!!

Beautiful, romantic photos

David did our engagement photo shoot as well as our wedding, and he was wonderful to work with. His photos have a romantic, natural style, and his outdoor photography is particularly stunning. My husband and I teared up a bit when we saw the photos he took of us during the sunset "golden hour" on our wedding day.

On the wedding day itself, he and his partner Annie helped us feel calm and relaxed, and helped keep us on-schedule. David respected our wishes to have the photography be as unobtrusive as possible during our Catholic wedding ceremony, and were surprised he managed to capture so many lovely moments even from the margins of the venue. He also was good about positioning us or moving items such as trash cans or signs so that there wouldn't be "distractions" in the photos.

He also delivered beautiful teasers to us a few days after the wedding, and then all the photos less than a month after the wedding - so impressive, and way ahead of the industry standard!

Thank you, David and Annie, for being a part of our special day! We will treasure these photos for always.

David was amazing. He did our engagement photos and wedding day. Captured the most beautiful photos. Communication was very easy and he is very thoughtful. David was an absolute joy to work with. We looked at so many photographers, and his elegant style truly stood out to us. When we met him, he was so easy to talk to, knowledgeable about his craft, and truly, just a positive, genuine person. We did our engagement photos with him, and it was so nice to be able to get to know him and work with him during this session so we could really get comfortable for the wedding. For both events, David was so easy to work with - he directed us in poses and made everything seem comfortable and natural. Both our engagement and wedding photo sets are GORGEOUS. I am so in love with all the pictures, and for our wedding, David truly captured the entire essence of the day. We are able to look at our photos and relive the best day of our lives, and we are so thankful that David captured every special moment. He came early for our getting ready photos and stayed until we departed to our hotel, even though we extended our reception by an hour (we couldn't help it - we were having so much fun!). Looking through our wedding photos brought me to tears because I felt like I was able to relive our special day - every moment we want to remember is in the album. There are so many photos - more than my husband and I expected - and I love every single one of them. David was our photographer for our beach wedding on July 30th. David's photos are absolutely beautiful and a special treasure my husband and I will have to remember our wedding day. He has a great eye for photography and did an amazing job directing us in the photos, capturing us, our family, our friends and the beautiful beach we were married on. David is a true professional and has a special demeanor about him that puts you at ease when you are having your picture taken on this most important day. Our photos are gorgeous!!!

David is your guy if you're looking for an incredibly talented, kind and communicative photographer who will make you feel at ease on your big day! His shots are absolutely amazing and his eye for detail is really impressive. Not only did we get our photos back really quickly (as soon as we got back from our honeymoon)! - but my husband and I were thrilled David captured so many beautiful shots, as well as hilarious, sweet, and surprising ones. We felt like we were reliving the day as we were going through them, which was awesome. We also love that he shot the same scene from completely different perspectives (ie. through harp strings, or from behind the glass ornaments hanging from trees). It was hard for us to pick a favorite shot since there were so many. Highly recommend David for both your engagement and wedding photos - you won't regret it.

We can not say enough good things about David and the job he did for our for our engagement and our wedding. David was responsive, flexible and easy to talk to about our ideas and generally very pleasant to be around! A few days before the wedding I became so hectic with the wedding plans and details I forgot to send him the entire page I pinterested for wedding photo ideas. He never mentioned it (as that would have added to the stress most likely) and just went off his own creative eye. He did a great job!! We were so impressed with the outcome. He was also so quick with everything, I hardly felt like we were missing time away from our guests. His assistant, Annie was also amazing! She had such a nice vibe about her and I felt totally comfortable around her. She spent extra time just to make sure my dress was nice and propped out and helped out a lot! If you are looking for a creative, fun, efficient photographer- look no further!:)

David Pascolla was our wedding photographer 5 years ago at the Santa Margarita Ranch. His photos of our wedding day really captured the natural setting and memories we will have forever. He is very easy going and made us feel so comfortable. Fast forward 5 years later, we contacted David to take our 5 year wedding anniversary photos with our 2 sons. Again, David was amazing with our kids and captured some unbelievably beautiful photos of us at Santa Margarita Ranch. David is a true professional, honest and a damn good photographer. Anniversary photos with David are now a tradition.

David was absolutely amazing to work with. We spent a long time looking for a photographer and we talked to quite a few before we decided on him. He was so easy going and easy to talk to and made us feel very comfortable right off the bat. His prices were also much more reasonable than a lot of the other central coast photographers who haven't been doing it nearly as long as he has. We live on the east coast so we weren't able to meet him in person before the wedding but we had a few phone call and email exchanges where we talked about what we were looking for and the wedding timeline. On the day of he was super professional and his assistant was great too. He seemed to really know how to get the best shots and how to direct people well. You can tell that he's a professional and that he knows his craft. We had a few hiccups like extreme wind and the groom being late (!) but David stayed very calm and found simple ways to work around the hiccups and the pictures turned out absolutely incredible.

We got his photos within 3 weeks after the wedding which is pretty much unheard of in wedding photography. He gave us all of the files to download (we didn't have to pay extra) and we are free to have them printed ourselves rather than go through him, which is what some photogs make you do. We couldn't be happier with the pictures or with the experience of working with him. I highly recommend him for your wedding or event, especially if you want to save a little bit but still get a high quality product and experience from someone who has been doing it for a very long time.

David is absolutely AMAZING! He is super friendly, cares about his clients, is professional, creative and an amazing photographer! He makes you feel comfortable, beautiful and at ease. He is easy to work with, flexible and fun. David took our engagement and wedding photos and was phenomenal for both. He went above and beyond. The final photos are incredible. I can’t say enough great things about David. He is a true artist with the kindest personality. He must love his job, because it shines through in his work. David photographed our engagement photos, which we loved and used as our save the dates. He then photographed our wedding, and they are stunning, and we love every photo, it’s hard to choose which ones we want. David was very receptive during the whole process. He responded to questions and concerns right away. I showed him sample photos I liked and he brought them with him to the wedding to make sure he did some. The day of the wedding his assistant Michael and himself made us feel so comfortable. Everyone was laughing and having a great time. Our bridal party can’t stop talking about how much they liked our photographers. The photos are so good, I want to share them with every bride so they hire David. We had a rustic barn wedding, and he caught all the special details of the location and the day. He won’t let you down.

We're honestly still glowing from our wedding day and we can't thank David Pascolla enough for his talent, warm personality and amazing photography skills. From the engagement shoot, to the wedding day he really made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. His quality of photography is exceptional and coupled with his truly genuine and friendly personality he was able to capture the best pictures I could have ever imagined. Working with David was such a pleasure. He did our engagement photos and then our wedding photos. We felt so at ease with him. I was hesitant since taking photos is not my favorite thing...but he made it so easy for me. I cannot tell you how many compliments I got from our guests. David walked us through the entire photo schedule for our big day and made me feel very comfortable that he had it all handled. I am so excited to see our photos in a few weeks!

Photography was the first thing I booked (after our venue of course) because it was such an important part of the wedding for us. Being an out of town bride & an event planner myself(planning from the Pacific Northwest), David was amazing at getting on the phone with us and going through all of the details about our day. He was sensitive to my particular needs and interest in the “detail” shots that were so important to me. From our first conversation with David to the last hug goodbye at our wedding, we felt like he really cared about our day and we knew everything he shot was going to be amazing. On the day of our wedding David and is assistant were so patient and easy to work with. They really made us feel special. We just got our photos back and they are AMAZING!! I can’t stop looking at them. I made the best decision hiring David Pascolla and I hope you do too!

David shot our engagement photo session and was a delight. He was always very quick to respond to our emails. We had to change the date and the time of the shoot and he was very flexible. Even though our shoot lasted an hour and a half, we didn't pay extra for it. He has a very friendly and relaxed demeanor. This makes you feel very comfortable in front of the camera. I was really worried about getting our pictures done because I thought it would be obvious in the photos that I looked uncomfortable and awkward. (I'm not a big fan of PDA). I don't know why I was worried. He made us feel so relaxed and honestly it was like he wasn't even there. It was like my fiance and I were just having a fun afternoon together and somebody happened to be there capturing pictures of it. Even though we needed a quick rush to get our photos back instead of his usual 2 week turn around, he did it and we didn't pay extra for it.

He was literally the only photographer I had contacted in the SLO area that didn't try to finagle us into spending more money than I knew we needed to or try to get us to use him for future services (even though we totally would use him because he was awesome!) This is what sealed the deal for me/ why I chose him as opposed to other photographers I had contacted. I never felt pressured by him.

There are a lot of great photographers in this area that have similar pricing. So why David? He is communicative, flexible, doesn't watch the clock during the shoot, makes you super relaxed and comfortable, doesn't charge extra fees, and is just a great presence to be around. I highly recommend him.

I absolutely loved working with David. He was so flexible with my timeline and I loved his photos. I ended up having to plan my whole wedding in 3 months due to family illness and wanted to fit in what all brides do: engagement photos, wedding, etc. David was able to work with my weekends since we were coming in from out of town. He was always very professional and would get back to me very quickly, and with me working in such a short timeframe, I greatly appreciated this. He was so kind and open to photos that I wanted to make sure I got but also let his creativity take over and we would kind of go with the flow. And the photos turned out incredible. I couldn't be happier. I definitely recommend David Pascolla as a wedding photographer!!

I highly recommend David for the photo services. My husband and I had a photo session in the Paso Robles area and David’s photos turned out absolutely beautiful. He did a great job suggesting the location for the photo session which turned out better that I could have imagined. He really listened to what I was looking for and his location suggestion was perfect.
David was very easy to work with and always very responsive to e-mails and phone calls. Plus our photos were ready a lot sooner than expected.
Overall a wonderful experience working with David and amazing photos!

David Pascolla did an amazing job of capturing every special moment throughout the whole day,
starting before the wedding as the bridal party was getting ready, all the way through to the end of the reception. I valued the fact that he and his assistant were discreet during the ceremony. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many shots of the ceremony because I never saw them taking pictures! We have gotten an overwhelming response from family and friends about the wedding proofs. Everyone is blown away by the beauty and quality of David's work. So much so that we're having a hard time deciding what to order :)

I highly recommend David for his wedding photography services. He was very easy to work with and our pictures turned out amazing. It was great to do an engagement session with him ahead of time, we were extremely pleased with those pictures, and used them for countless checklist items leading up to the wedding.

Before the wedding David was great about making time to review the specific pictures we wanted on the day of the event and which family members to focus on. He was well organized with all our requests.

Bottom line, pictures look amazing. They came in on time and were easy to download to our computer.

I cannot say enough great things about David. My husband and I absolutely love our engagement and wedding photos and would recommend David to all of our closest friends. After our wedding, my husband even commented that he really enjoyed the time we spent with David taking pictures on our wedding day. My mom and mother in law both also commented that every time throughout our wedding day that they thought "I wish I had a camera to capture that," they would turn around and see David right there - he captured everything. David is extremely responsive, flexible, and really listens to what you want. Before our wedding I told David about a few pictures (in certain locations, certain poses, and of certain people) that I would really like, and he made sure to capture them all. David is an absolute pleasure to work with, and we are so thankful that we hired him to capture our wedding.

We had a wonderful experience with David Pascolla, his personality and his photos are wonderful. Neither of us love taking pictures, and we imagined the photography being a stressful part of our day but this was not the case with David. He is very calm and professional, he doesn't invade your space too much but he still delivers very personal and beautiful photos. I would highly recommend him. He is also a great value, and is willing to work with you to make your day what you want it to be.

Within moments of meeting David my fiance (now husband) knew that we wanted him to be a part of our wedding day. Not only is he warm, extremely personable, and kind, but he also is incredibly talented! We fell in love with our engagement photos and all of our wedding photos. He has a remarkable way to capture the love between couples and all of his photos have such a sweet feeling to them. Many of my favorite pictures from our wedding day were candid little moments that I would have forgotten if he did not catch. He truly captured the magic of our special day.
David is extremely patient and you can tell he is very passionate about what he does. I have been in several of my friend's weddings and I have NEVER worked with someone like David. I could not be more pleased with the choice we made having our engagement and wedding photos taken by David Pascolla Photography!!!
I had been admiring David's beautiful work via his blog for months but my fiance kept trying to convince me we could save money by going with a budget photographer. Thankfully he did not convince me and my fiance thanks me now for standing my ground :) Our wedding day flew by and we are so grateful to have these beautiful photos that we absolutely love to go back and relive our wedding day.
David is an exceptional wedding professional and wonderful to work with from the moment I first spoke with him over the phone. I think the things that set him apart from other photographers are:
Aesthetic. David especially shines when photographing in plenty of light, which makes for really beautiful photos if your wedding is set outdoors. During our engagement shoot, I was impressed that David would take the time to have us wait between shots so he could get the light just right. Our engagement and wedding photos are just spectacular, thanks to David's expert attention to light and ability to find beauty in any natural setting. Everyone comments that our photos look like they should be in a magazine. Also, David will make sure both the bride and groom look their absolute best!
Professionalism. David is a truly experienced wedding professional who will be reaily available and responsive to any particular requests you might have. It was very important to me to make sure all out beloved family and friends were photographed so we could look back and remember all who attended our intimate wedding. Amazingly, David made sure we had multiple shots of all of our guests, and everyone looks amazing. I have begun passing around the pictures and everyone loves how they look in the pictures and more than a few have used their photo for their facebook profile :)
Last but not least, David is just a wonderful person with a wonderful spirit that is an absolute joy to work with and someone you would want to share your wedding with.
I have only the best things to say about David and the quality of his photography. If the pictures on his blog are what you envision for your engagement/wedding then have no hesitation about booking him for your event.

David is wonderful. He has a great eye for varied settings, and we were really impressed with the photos that we got from our engagement session and our wedding. I think this is due to not only his artistry but also his personality -- he is very friendly and down-to-earth, and makes you feel right at home if you're not the type of person who loves getting your picture taken (like me!). During the ceremony and the reception, he was practically invisible yet took so many amazing pictures, and he made sure that we got the shots that we requested and took so many more that we would have requested had we known! David Pascolla captured our wedding beautifully and perfectly for us. His easy-going yet professional style was great to work with. He also was very flexible with our budget and scheduling as our wedding date was one of two different days for a while. He also did our engagement pictures for us, which were wonderful and perfect for our Save-The-Dates. We now have some quality photobooks and prints that we will treasure forever. David Pascolla was the perfect choice of photographer for our daughter's wedding last month. He is a true professional. The wedding was at our charming and quaint church in Templeton and the reception at Santa Margarita Ranch. David took full advantage of each location and was very open to suggested shots. He made quick (and excellent) work of the traditional posed photos with attendants and family at both the ceremony and reception sites. David is a great photographer who gives quiet and gentle direction. The candid photos he took throughout the evening are fantastic and priceless. He captured all of the tenderness and emotion AND all the fun! We are completely thrilled with all the photos. All 758 of them! That might sound like too many pictures, but NOT to the Mother-of-the-Bride! I'm not sure how I will be able to choose. Every photograph is fantastic! David even emailed a slide show with music, of about 60 photos of the whole day that is so cute, I have have to watch it every morning!

We would highly recommend David Pascolla as a photographer. From the first time I contacted David, he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was quick to respond, friendly and very professional. On the day of our wedding, David and his assistant were wonderful. They were prompt and very nice to work with. The pictures came out truly amazing! All of our family and friends are blown away with how beautiful they came out. It was very difficult to make a decision on which pictures to buy because they were all so beautiful.
You will not go wrong choosing David..he's the best!

David was great! He made the wedding party and all of our family feel very comfortable. His pricing was very reasonable and he even had an assistant to make sure we got all the right photos. He listened to our requests and I think the photos will come out beautiful! (Cant wait to see them). He was very professional and flexible, we werent exactly on-time. We thank David for everything! My husband and I fell in love with several photographers’ work online, but the moment we met David, we knew he was the photographer for us. He is gentle, he listens, and he is funny! David is not affected or pretentious, yet clearly loves what he does and is full of good ideas. We had two key criteria in selecting a photographer for our wedding. (1) We wanted a photographer who takes incredibly good photos of people. That may sound simplistic and odd, but as we explored different vendors' work, we realized that a lot of photographers are so focused on the artsy and unique that they don't actually take good photos of people. We knew that being surrounded by our family members and friends would be the best part of the weekend, and we wanted to capture the spirit of those moments and have high-quality photos of ourselves and our guests. David takes amazing photos of people, yet he is also very artistic in recording the setting, the details, and the essence of the event. His shots of our setting (Edna Valley Vineyard) speak to our memories of what it felt like that day - the light, the color, the ambiance. He is incredibly talented overall! (2) We wanted someone who could work well with our families. In particular, my mother-in-law has chronic pain and very limited mobility. We knew that an in-your-face type of personality would not make her comfortable. We took family photos at her home before the wedding to maximize on her stamina and make her as comfortable as possible; she only attended the ceremony, so we knew that was our chance to get photos with her because she couldn't stay for the reception. David was wonderful with my mother-in-law; he was kind, considerate, and compassionate, and she felt very much involved and engaged. Also, one of my close family friends is an aspiring photographer and she "trailed" David all day. I pulled him aside at one point and told him that he could simply ask her to give him space if she was annoying him, and he said, "Oh no, I invited her. I'm happy to have her along and I am enjoying her." Everyone in both families loved being photographed by David, and people continually remark about the quality of our wedding photographs. Simply put - they are amazing. In addition, David spent an hour with my sister, her husband, and their toddler early on the day of our wedding for a casual photo shoot. The family photos he took of them are fantastic as well! I can't recommend David highly enough. In fact, we want David to be a member of our family!

My wedding was overwhelming.. per usual. But David Pascolla made my life so much easier! He was incredibly professional, and took beautiful, beautiful photos without my having to worry about a thing. David Pascolla is an AMAZING photographer. He did such a great job for our engagement and wedding photos. If you want someone who will keep you smiling and calm on your big day, he's the one to get! David has the kindest personality, and his photography couldn't be more outstanding! He won't keep you from spending time with your guest on your big day. 2 months after my wedding, people can't stop talking about how great the photographer was and what beautiful pictures he took! David photographed my June wedding at Calipaso Winery in Paso Robles. He and his assistant were fantastic. After the formal photos, we didn't even notice him taking pictures the rest of the night...which is truly impressive as we ended up with almost 1000 beautiful images of our day. I would highly recommend David to others looking for a photographer in the area. He is so nice and wonderful to work with!

We had our engagement photos done with this photographer. He was so patient and kind and made us feel comfortable even though we both are not photogenic. He took a lot of time to help us figure our positiong and styles. Only good things about this photograher!

David and his assistant were fabulous! Both were very easy to get along with and very personable. They gave great guidance on how to pose (when necessary) and they were unobtrusive. When our timeline got behind they adapted well and caused no issues. The photos look fantastic and they were processed quickly and we were given all of them digitally for download so it was nice and easy. This also made sharing to my globally located relatives easy. I highly recommend David as I could not be happier with his service.
