Truly Wonderful Experience

David was our photographer for both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. We are so incredibly grateful to have had him capture some of our most precious moments. From start to finish, David was so kind, friendly, caring and thoughtful. After our engagement session went so well (in addition to yielding beautiful photos), we were eagerly looking forward to him shooting our wedding. Even still, he far surpassed everything we were expecting. He let us be, simply, us - and the happiness and love he captured not only of us, but of our friends and guests, produced gorgeous, heartwarming photos that we will treasure for life. Beyond his immeasurable talent, he was also incredibly prepared and professional, guiding us through our questions and meetings for both the engagement session and wedding in a truly collaborative way. By the time our big day rolled around, David felt like an old friend. Neither my husband nor I are normally very comfortable taking photos, but you would never know it during our photos with David. He always put us at ease and made it fun. If you're looking for an phenomenal photographer - look no further. Thank you, David, for capturing moments in time we'll never forget!

Amazing photographer

David Orr photographed our wedding and did such an amazing job. He was easy to talk to and he posed my husband and myself in such a perfect way (since neither one of us are comfortable in front of the camera). He is highly recommended!!!!!

David took beautiful photos for a lifetime.

We are ecstatic that we went with David! He was incredibly responsive and helpful. He was willing to add extra time on last minute and really captured our wedding beautifully. We received tons of excellent photos and have loved reliving the day while selecting photos to print. All family has been incredibly impressed as well. David was very thorough from the moment of meeting him. He honored our request for Zoom planning appointments as we were cautious of covid around the time of our celebration. On the day of, David presented a calm and reassuring demeanor in some moments of craziness, and made sure we got the photos we were looking for -- which he went above and beyond to do by staying a little later to capture some important moments. He got us our photos back in a timely manner, and the editing his wife does is honestly amazing. I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you, David for our cherish memories!

Excellent experience, flawless photos for a price that worked for our budget.

David Orr photography was the perfect fit for our wedding at the Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix. Our pre-meetings were well organized and helped us plot out the timeline for our special day, including the perfectly done sunset shots. David made a point to capture every shot on our wish list while also managing to avoid interruption to the many special moments. David worked with us on the right budget to meet our every need. We're still printing out wedding books and photos and are so pleased with the editing work. We have a beautiful assortment to last a lifetime. David also referred us to our wedding videographer - so we had a seamless experience getting photos and video from a team who worked well together. If we could go back in time, we'd make all the same choices again!

Wedding and engagement photographer

David Orr is such an amazing photographer. He did a beautiful job capturing our unique engagement photos, so we asked him to photograph our wedding as well. I hope that he will be our family photographer in the future. I highly recommend David Orr to all my friends and family!

We absolutely loved working with David Orr photography! David met with us several times before our wedding to get to know us and make sure he knew exactly what pictures we wanted on our wedding day. Please, please, please!! Hire David. I cannot express how personal and creative David is. Him and his team made sure to get to understand my husband and I vision for our wedding by meeting with us and explaining every bit we can expect from him. His prices are more than competitive and reasonable, you literally get what you pay for; beyond perfect pictures. His response to any questions we ever had was quick and helpful. He is truly an amazing photographer, I am awkward person and i cannot express myself in pictures well but, my true self was captured and i adore all of the pictures. Trust me, i dont lie or bullshit; you want personal care and beautiful pictures? Hire him.

David was absolutely wonderful to work with! He was flexible and accommodating for both our wedding photos and engagement photos. He took care and time to ensure there were multiple photos of each item/grouping on our list so that we would have many options to choose from later on. He was reliable, friendly, laid-back and very easy to work with. My husband (who wasn't a big fan of having to pose for engagement photos at first) even said he had a wonderful time during the photo shoot. We couldn't be happier with the way the photos of our engagement and wedding turned out. Also, the turn around was very fast! I would highly, highly recommend David Orr!

David did an amazing job photographing our wedding ceremony and reception, and we would completely recommend him! My husband and I had never had professional photos taken of us before, but David did a great job of putting us at ease and just generally capturing fun, natural moments. David Orr and his wife Amanda are an amazing visionary couple behind the camera as well as complete professionals when not snapping photos. During our costumed-wedding at Regency Gardens they were super receptive of our quirky-geeky requests and made fantastic suggestions as well that really incorporated all of our family members into the fun. They even went so far as to take us a couple blocks away during our after-ceremony photoshoot to do photos at our favorite comic book shop to take a lot of fun and whimsical shots which are turning out amazing. They were both super respectful to our needs (Seeing if we needed a break from pictures, checking to see if we needed water, asking if there were other shots we had in mind we wanted to do, et cetera.) and completely courteous, polite, funny and simply amazing to us during our special day.

The best part is, THEY EVEN SHOWED UP IN COSTUME as their favorite characters as per our request for our guests. They really went ALL OUT to make us feel comfortable, relaxed... and made us look damned good doing it. David has been keeping us up to date with photos as he works through them, even providing us and our guests a special preview website.

We plan on using David Orr Photography in the future for all our professional photo needs because of how amazing his work and demeanor are toward his clients. You can really tell how much time, care, professionalism and love they put into all of their work. I highly recommend them.

David and Amanda did a wonderful job capturing our wedding day! Planning out of state can be a bit tricky at times and they were recommended to us by our venue. They were so reassuring and familiar with our venue, that I knew they would the perfect fit to capture our day. They were easy to work with and did an excellent job of keeping our huge bridal party and extended family together and focused. David is amazing to work with! David came recommended to us. My husband and I met with him and knew he was the photographer for us. We sat down with him a couple of times and discussed what pictures were a must and what type of photos were the "cherry on top". He arrived early and stayed even later than we had scheduled so that he could make sure we got all the shots that were important to us. Our whole wedding party kept telling us how great our photographer was. He was organized, patient, and kept to what we wanted. My husband and I both highly recommend David. We will be calling him again in the future for some family pictures. Thank you David for making our special day even more special!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about David Orr! He and his wife Amanda did our engagement and wedding photos. After we selected them to do our wedding pictures, we decided that we also wanted them to do our engagement photos. We chose Sedona, Arizona as our venue and it was more beautiful than we could have imagined! We asked David and Amanda to choose the best location for photos in Sedona and we were not disappointed! To this day, we still get compliments on our engagement photos! We couldn't wait for our wedding day after that! We enjoyed sitting down with David beforehand to go over the timeline and what photos we wanted specifically. David was such a lifesaver! He really knew how to plan everything out. I wouldn't have been able to figure any of that out without him! David is extremely professional. While you know he is there taking photos, it is almost like he isn't there. We were so pleased! We got our photos back in about four weeks and they are more beautiful than we could have ever dreamed of! Our day was captured perfectly! I even accidentally broke our USB that the photos are on when printing some out and David sent me a new one, no questions asked! David and Amanda were amazing to work with and we truly can't thank them enough!

Working with David was like working with a friend. At our initial consultation he was so easy to talk to and we were able to share what kind of vision we were looking for in wedding photos. He was very personable and his attention to detail was impressive. When we first saw our pictures, all we could do was smile and cry. It was a very emotional experience. When you are busy with your day and have so many things to focus on, David focused on the details that we totally missed. To be able to see your spouses face for the first time or when your reading the vows is important to have those memories. We would highly recommend David Orr to any one and we intend to use him in future family photos.

David was a wonderful photographer to work with! The meetings with him beforehand were super informative and he was willing to work with our ideas and inspiration from Pintrest. He also responded quickly anytime I had an idea or a question. On the day of the wedding David was photographing everything but at the same time, you hardly knew he was there. He was very professional. For the first time all day, my new husband and I were alone while David was taking photos and it was so romantic and authentic because it seemed like David wasn't even there. He was so open to different ideas as well as candid photos. He also posted some photos of us a few days after the wedding so it was an awesome taste of what is to come! Working with David was awesome!

David and Amanda Orr were exceptional to say the least. As a result of our package with our wedding venue we had the choice between David Orr Photography and another vendor, but I am so glad we went with them. From our first consultation to the day of our wedding, David was very responsive, answered all of our questions thoroughly and made myself and my husband feel like our wishes were a priority. About 30 days out from our wedding, David sat down with us to go over in depth our desires for our photos and had a concise timeline which he provided for us to review.
David and Amanda were VERY hands out throughout our photo sessions (there were moments when Amanda helped the bridal party with boutonnieres and corsages and she even took photos with my uncle's iPad while he was in the family shots).
They were both so friendly and welcoming and made our day less stressful.
Our photos have since been returned and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Every shot we wanted to get we have and it will be very difficult to pick and choose our favorites for the album.
We would recommend David and Amanda to any of our family and friends who are in need of a photographer.

Dave and Amanda are amazing! They were the first and only photographers that we interviewed for our wedding. For our first meeting Dave met us at our venue, which was over an hour away from him. We spent 3 hours walking the property going over the different shots, angles, and lighting that would work best. We knew right away that they were exactly what we were looking for. My husband and I are not photogenic people but we felt so comfortable with them. On our wedding day it wound up raining off and on throughout the day. And as my husband and I were freaking out, Dave and Amanda took charge and told us that it would all turn out okay. We got the most amazing photos with a wonderful fireplace setting inside and storm clouds, lightening and even a rainbow in the background outside. We were extremely happy with the results. Every person that has seen our wedding photos have said that they have never seen such beautiful photos EVER. Dave and Amanda were incredible; they were down to earth, and professional. We would recommend them to anyone.

We love love love David! We can't say enough nice things about David and his wife Amanda. We were recommended to his company thru our wedding venue (He was one of the options for our contract). David was by far our favorite so we had him do our engagement pictures as well. We have gotten so many compliments on our photos. We were thrilled with the way they came out.

David had the entire day scheduled out with the rest of our vendors so taking pictures went smoothly since we had discussed before hand which pictures we wanted (and didn't). He was also flexible in letting us incorporate our own ideas. Both Amanda and David have a calming demeanor and it is very easy to talk to and work with them. I would recommend David for any and all types of photography you would need in your life. I know we would choose him all over again and look forward to using him again in the future!

David and Amanda were so amazing. Very professional and super patient. I really trusted them. Our wedding day happened to be the day of a crazy storm. They never missed a beat and worked around the weather and got some absolutely amazing shots of the storm clouds and sunset during a break in the rain. They even showed up with adorable umbrellas for us to use. They captured our day perfectly!

I recently got married at the Regale! and David Orr was one of a few choices for our photographer. We are SOOO happy we chose David! He was always quick to respond to our emails and so flexible. We live an hour away from the Regale!, and he was able to do meetings over the phone if we needed it. He was extremely professional and his pictures are just absolutely beautiful. He really knew the perfect places to get the perfect shots. He is beyond wonderful, and I would recommend him to anyone who wants beautiful pictures EVERYTIME.

After shopping around and speaking with several photographers, my husband Jerry and I decided to hire David. He was amazing! He listened to everything we said and wasn't afraid to share his thoughts even if we already "knew or thought we knew" what we wanted. He was extremely laid back the day of the wedding which had a tremendous calming effect on me. His professionalism came through. He took photos of things that I would never have dreamed would be significant and I am so glad he did. We were married on January 19th, 2014 at the Pebble Creek Country Club, and lets just say we could never thank David and his lovely wife Amanda, enough for creating the memories of a lifetime. They were absolutely amazing in every single way and did everything in capturing the most precious moments of our special day. It was comfortable and fun, and our guests absolutely loved them just as much as we did. The photos were radiant, brilliant, fun, and had so much warmth behind them.

All the moments or tears of joy and laughter were captured by this amazing Photographer, and for that we will be forever grateful to David and Amanda.

I met Dave at an open house and then called him & set up an appointment to meet up with all of us. We quickly learned that Dave & his wife Amanda are an amazing team and really spent the time to get to know my husband and I before they photographed our wedding a few months ago. They are such a down to earth couple, easy to work with, and flexible to your schedule. They're prices are very affordable and you really get your moneys worth when you choose David Orr Photography to be a part of your special day or event! With our custom package we chose to have them do a two hour engagement session that was included, and used a couple of the pictures for our unique save-the-date they created. I also love the custom and truly unique memory books that they create of your special day with high resolution quality prints. It really stands out from a collage book from the competitors! Overall Dave & Amanda really made our day extra special and we couldn't be happier with the end results! We would recommend them to our friends and family!

I really enjoyed having David as our photographer for our October 19 wedding. He was very flexible at meeting with us at starbucks close to my work and doing the final meeting over the phone because of our busy work schedule the week before the wedding. I absolutely love that he emails the link for our photos to our family and friends as well. I definitely recommend him, I know you wont be disappointed with his work.

I was so nervous about my wedding pictures and how they would turn out, but after meeting with David I felt confidant that they would be good. Then I saw the samples. Holy cow! I was blown away. I couldn't wait to get all of them back. Every single one of my photos are fabulous. They are stunning. I can't pick a favorite. And everyone who has seen them agrees. David and his wife Amanda were excellent to work with, so fun and easy to get along with and captured the whole day so perfectly. The pictures are everything I wanted, could have imagined and more. You can relive every moment through those pictures and they managed to capture the magic and romance of my husband and I's big day. I can't wait to hire them again, I will use any excuse to have them take more pictures, anniversaries, babys, parties, I can't wait. My only regret was not taking the time to do engagement pictures with them. Now I just have to decide which picture is going to get blown up and put on canvas. I have a feeling we will have more than one huge canvas in the house of our wedding. I would highly recommended them to anyone.

WOW! I can't express how amazing David Orr and his wife are! We had the pleasure of meeting them at the open house at Regale! at DC Ranch about a year ago. David put us at ease with his knowledge and passion about photography. We decided to do our engagement session with David and his wife back in March and it was truly amazing. I was little nervous at first with the engagement session but it didn't take long before I was at ease and very comfortable with David and his wife. They work so well together and are truly working to get the best photo shots to capture this special moment for you. After spending our engagement session with them and seeing their work from our session I knew our wedding day and photos were going to be amazing. Again, the day of the wedding both David and Amanda were so patient, calm, collected, and fun it made our wedding photos so enjoyable. We just got our wedding photos back and we are blown away by their work, again! Not to mention that throughout the planning process David is very prompt in responding to you and willing to help with everything. We found David Orr through our venue and how lucky were we to find such an amazing person to work with. Not only did David and his wife photograph our wedding/reception but we also had him take our engagement pictures. They are such an easy going couple which makes them very easy to work with. They are open to new pose suggestions but also have great ideas of their own. They really do capture the personality of a couple through their work. When I sit down and look at my photos it is like we are right back in that day. The photos are so vivid and show true emotion. Because of them we will always have these beautiful photos to forever cherish and reminisce about our special day.

David worked positively with our unusual wedding ideas and was right there to capture the candid moments as well as the family photos. He took advantage of the surrounding area at the venue to frame terrific backdrops for our photos (including a pastel sunset). David also took shots of our cake and displays that were good enough for a magazine spread.

His packages were easy to understand and the finished product professionally presented.

When we told him there would be difficult lighting situations (like a performance in the dark with spinning lights), he planned ahead and got some wonderful slow exposure shots of the performer.

While doing candids, we didn't notice him (the mark of a good photographer) and there are several shots of babies smiling and people laughing that we didn't even know had happened.

David and his wife were amazing to work with! I met with him twice before the wedding to talk about what I wanted, time frames, etc. Day of went smoothly, my only regret was that I should have done 10 hrs instead of 8! David was super patient and positive with out unorganized wedding party, and things went smoothly! I received our wedding preview album only a couple after the wedding and that shocked me! They were SO gorgeous, better than I had even imagined. I searched all the wedding websites for photographers and I am so happy I chose David. Thank you!

David and his wife were wonderful to work with. They are so calm, understanding, and layed back that it made the photography portion of the wedding easy. They know just how to pose everyone for pictures and had unique ideas. After the ceremony when it was time for pictures with me and my new husband, David and his wife made that 45 minutes so relaxing and peaceful. It was the least stressful part of the day. David truly captured the day and evening in a way that no one else could.

David and his wife were amazing!!! I am so critical of myself in photos, that I didn't buy the rights to our photos originally because I wasn't sure how many I would like. When I received the photos I couldn't believe how beautiful the pictures were. We have had so many people comment on what an amazing photographer we had. The only thing I would have done differently is have them there for longer so I would lave gotten more photos!!! Thats how good they were!!!

If I could, I would give these guys far more than just 5 stars. Having David and his wife Amanda be the photographers at our wedding was one of the absolute best decisions we made. They were so professional and fun to work with from the very start of the planning stage through to the very end of the reception when they caught yet another classic shot of the day. Looking through the gallery of images from our wedding made me feel like I was reliving that day AND getting a glimpse into the moments that were happening all around us. They definitely captured those "must-have" shots of family and friends but they also had the creativity, forethought and perfect timing to get so many other great images -- the reflection in the mirror of the bride (that's me!) and her mom fixing her veil, the little details of the ceremony and reception decor, the laughter of the crowd after the parents' toasts, the list goes on! And after capturing all those moments, they did such a beautiful job of quickly putting together a gallery of images we're excited to share with everyone we know. In other words, these guys KNOW what they're doing. If we ever have another opportunity to have them be our photographers, we won't hesitate for a moment to hire them again. And in the meantime, we hope they will be fun, lifelong friends we get to keep hanging out with long after the wedding.

David and his wife were a dream come true throughout the entire wedding process!! I met with David multiple times before the wedding to discuss what shots we wanted and to create a timeline. Now when I say say "we" I really mean David because he had everything under control and running perfectly! I did not have to worry about a thing. On our wedding day David and his wife were so cheerful and a pleasure to be around on our special day! They were everywhere they needed to be but not intrusive at all, in fact I didn't realize they were there half the time but I know they were because of all the gorgeous pictures they captured! I fell in love with David Orr Photography the second I looked at some of his work. I was introduced to him through Regale! and could not have made a better choice. He is open to any new ideas which is a plus in my book. My wedding party was running a little behind but he was flexible and professional and just went with the flow. I have such a large family and it can be difficult to get everyone to cooperate for family pictures……I wanted to yell at my family to listen and get it done (of course I didn’t) David was very patient and kind and I give him so many props for that. The photos turned out amazing! I have been getting nothing but compliments on all of them. I would definitely recommend David to anyone looking for a photographer.

We loved David (and his wife Amanda!), and his laid back nature. We used him for our engagement pics and were thrilled with the session and then the pics that came back. The day of the wedding, he was happy to attempt unique shots that we had requested. He and Chad (videographer) worked great together, and there never seemed to be any stepping on toes. Once we met with David we knew he would be the perfect photographer for our wedding. We are so happy we chose David Orr Photography for our wedding photos. David and his wife, Amanda, were so great to work with. Everything went so smoothly with our photos. They were on schedule the entire time, which I loved. I have been to weddings that everything was running late because the photographer was not very time conscious. I didn't want my guests to be waiting forever to get the reception started. We got all the photos we wanted in the time we needed to get them in. David and Amanda worked together really well, bouncing ideas off of eachother for some really great poses and backgrounds. During the reception, David always seemed to be there to take photos of us with guests, and on the dance floor. He was never in the way, but always close by. I even asked him to take some photos of myself and some guests who's camera wasn't taking good photos in the dim lighting. He was right there to take care of it for us. Two days after our wedding, we already got an email with a preview of our wedding photos. I thought a preview would mean 15-20 photos, but there were about 130. I was so excited and the photos looked so beautiful! It is nice to have them to show people who couldn't attend the wedding, without having to wait for weeks. I can't wait to get the rest of the photos, and I know they will be amazing!

We booked David through our all-inclusive package with Regale at DC Ranch, and could not be more pleased. David Orr photographed our wedding April 2. He did a great job and was very flexible and patient. We had a large bridal party and large family to work with and a sick bride.

The only reason we were a little disappointed was because we did not get as many poses as we would have liked. I would have liked more ideas for different poses. Part of this was my fault because I was so sick to the point of almost throwing up in my wedding dress and they did not want to push me or upset me. It also delayed us in our timing. There are a few pictures I really wish we would have gotten. I think of little more creative poses or sites would have been nice but it was hard to get there with the time we had left.

They were very supportive and even gave me their own water when I was sick during photos.
They got us our finished pictures very quickly and made it easy for guests to look them up and order prints. The pictures we did get were great pictures!

We hired David to take photos of our special day. We had very specific shots that we wanted to capture and worked very closely with David and our wedding coordinator to make sure that our vision was realized. There were some glitches with timing and a few moments where we felt that the process could have gone smoother, but overall we were pleased with the results and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.
