So happy we chose David!

We are extremely happy that we chose David to photograph our wedding. From our initial meeting, to our engagement shoot, to our wedding day, and to the final delivery of our photos, every step along the way was seamless and handled very professionally. For 2 people who tend to be shy in front of a camera, David made my husband and I feel comfortable and at ease during our engagement shoot and for our formal wedding portraits. The candid shots he took during our wedding are incredible as well. He really captured the smiles, happy tears, laughter, and love that filled our wedding day. We could not be more thrilled with the photos we received. They are gorgeously composed and we have been so happy to look back at them and share them with family and friends. So many people in our wedding party even told us how much they loved working with David. We are looking forward to getting our photo book printed with him soon. We would certainly recommend him to friends and family!

The Best Wedding Day Experience

I cannot express my thanks enough for the beautiful photos! My husband and I planned our wedding from Colorado, lots of Zoom calls and phone communication. By the time we came home for our wedding, it had felt like we already knew him. The wedding day photos went by seamlessly and such beautiful memories were captured. Amazing experience!!

My husband and I were so happy to have David capture our big day!! David was extremely attentive to us on our wedding day (and at our engagement shoot as well!), making sure we got the perfect shots of every very special moment! It is easy to see how much pride he takes in his work. He is very precise in making sure every shot is perfect, which we greatly appreciated. We love the natural look of each photo, they are completely timeless! We truly couldn't have asked for anybody better than David. We couldn't recommend him more!

Our Second Photographer!

David was the second photographer for our wedding, recommended by our contracted photographer, and we could not have been happier with him being part of our day! We met him the morning of, and he spent a lot of time with my husband and the groomsmen. The guys were slow to get started in the morning, and he was very patient with them and really helped to get the ball rolling. He stayed in constant communication with our coordinator to help keep the guys stay on track! He has a very fun and creative eye, making sure to capture the natural moments. When we had a few minutes between photo locations, he took my husband and I to the side to capture some extra couple portraits and helped calm the rush and flow of the photo session down. He is the ultimate professional and we cannot thank him enough!

The BEST October Wedding!

I am grateful that Dave was recommended to us by another family member, as the engagement and wedding photos are beyond incredible. Dave made us feel very comfortable and is an expert at what he does. Dave and Joel were both wonderful to work with on our wedding day, and most of the time you didn’t even know they were there. I can honestly say that with over 1,000 wedding photos they are all picture perfect. It was very sentimental to look at wedding photos that took place during the day that we couldn’t physically see happen, and then relive those happy moments. Besides the venue, photography choice was a top priority for our wedding day, and you and your team rocked it!

David is the best!!

When my husband and I first got engaged, we had 3 other couples recommend David as our wedding photographer, and they were right to do so! David was fun, easy to work with, and totally flexible when we had to postpone our wedding in 2020. All his photographs have come out beautifully and, between our engagement shoot and wedding day, we have hundreds of gorgeous photos to remember this special time in our lives.

David made all the planning easy for us. He was responsive to any messages we sent and made sure to cover all the details in any phone call that we had. He helped us create a schedule of photos for our wedding day that ensured we got all the pictures we wanted and that we got to enjoy as much time with our guests as possible!

On our wedding day, David and Rachel took us all over our venue to get as many gorgeous shots as we could. We are so grateful for how well they captured our special day and we couldn't be happier with our experience!

David holds the Title of Universal Best Photographer to us!

Planning a wedding is stressful enough as EVERYONE knows so the first thing you want to do is surround yourself with vendors and people who will help the process, David Apuzzo exceeds all expectations. We thought we were on track for the "normal" wedding planning experience until we had to postpone our wedding 11 days before our date due to COVID-19. David took the time to help us find a new date and work with our venue. As things changed and progressed throughout the state opening back up David stayed in touch and kept me updated about what the talk of the vendors looked like. All around great photographer!

My husband and I found out about David through a mutual friend, so he wasn't exactly a stranger to us! I looked David up over a year ago and fell in love with his style. My husband and I don't really take many photos or like having them taken, so we wanted someone who would capture things pretty naturally and not make us feel overly posed. I knew from the moment we first met with David in his studio that he would be the right fit for us. He's relaxed, professional and knows his stuff. My husband and I were super nervous about the engagement session back in October of 2019, but David was patient and managed to get photos that we never even dreamed we could have. He made us feel comfortable and the photos were proof of his ability to capture "real" moments. Nothing at all was fake about our photos! Fast forward to September 19th, 2020 and David was just as amazing. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, David was such a support system for us. He checked in and answered any questions we had. The week of the wedding we had a Zoom call with him and he spent an hour helping us through a schedule for the day that would help us fit as much as possible into our small ceremony/cocktail hour. David was extremely professional at our wedding and I really appreciated how he checked in with our videographer to ensure he was doing okay and had time to film a couple extra things that he wanted. We have only seen a teaser photo so far, but we can't wait to see the rest! We are incredibly thankful and lucky to have the pleasure of having David a part of our 2021 First Anniversary/wedding part 2!! We will continue to use him even beyond that because he is so good!!

Replaced wedding album with ease!

We had a wonderful experience working with David in August of 2016 when we got married. Nearly four years later, we unfortunately had water damage, and our wedding album was ruined. Within a day, David responded to us and remarkably had saved all of our information and photos. He was able to replicate a new album for us, and was extremely understanding and reasonable with the price for the replacement. We were so fortunate that this sentimental album was able to be replaced, and we couldn't thank David enough!

Amazing photos for a tiny COVID wedding

We weren’t sure if we would be able to have our wedding due to COVID. We had always planned on a small ceremony, but until June, we weren’t sure if it would be possible. Since things came together so last minute, I reached out to David a week before the wedding to see if he was available. Thankfully, he was. He got right to work getting the details of the day, the family portraits we wanted and spent time talking with us about the style of photos we wanted. I really appreciated his attention to detail. The day of, he arrived early (with his mask on!) and got right to work. We could not be happier with the photos he took. He has a great eye for finding spots to capture amazing images. The turn around time on editing and posting the photos was also incredible. David’s style is timeless and fun at the same time.

Great Experience!

We loved working with David for our wedding photos! He was easy to work with, super responsive, and most importantly - the pictures look amazing! We hadn't been planning to do an engagement shoot, but since it was included in the price we went for it and it really helped to have a day of "practice" getting used to the photographer/having someone clicking away. The photographers were respectful during the service and reception - I never felt like they were getting in the way of the party - amazing pictures just appear of all the important moments. Also, the photographers were super flexible on the day of. We had some unusual elements in our wedding and some last minute changes and they were great about going with the flow to capture what happened as the night went on. Great pictures, easy logistics, highly recommend!

Amazing photographer

When I got engaged I knew right away I wanted to have David be my wedding photographer. He photographed one of my good friends weddings and the pictures were stunning. David was always easy to reach by phone, email, or text and was a valuable asset during the wedding planning process. I truly appreciated Davids help putting together a timeline to help organize the wedding day and to ensure that all the family formal pictures were correct. The day of the wedding David was instrumental in ensuring that everything went smoothly. When I got the pictures back my husband and I were so happy with them. They were perfect! Gestures of kindness last beyond the wedding day

David is a true artist and very personable. He cares about each couple he connects with - his couples are not just a source of income but a relationship that will last beyond the wedding day.

One of our favorite memories from our wedding day was after our guests departed our ceremony site for the dinner reception. David hung back and asked our string quartet to play an encore of our commissioned song - he took a video of the musicians playing and us dancing with pure joy - one of our favorite memories. David wasn't hired to take video but yet he captured this special moment for us without us asking. At the end of the night he presented us with a polaroid photo of us - a seemingly small gesture that spoke so loudly about his passion for his craft and for his couples.

David's second shooter Stephen was also a gem - very professional with an attention to detail - he captured wonderful photos of the impromptu encore. Hire the two of these guys and you won't be disappointed.

Engagement and wedding shoot

David was so wonderful when he shot our engagement shoot and wedding! He jumped at the opportunity when we said we were planning the wedding from half way across the US. He made a very difficult and stressful planning process seem like a breeze. He was in constant contact and ready to answer all of my questions.
He did a fantastic job of capturing the joy and laughter we had both days. There are so many beautiful photos and even sillier candids (and we love our candids!) He even let us include our dog in our engagement shoot, and he managed to perfectly capture her personality!
I will admit that I was a little grumpy and stressed the morning of my wedding, and he managed to turn my mood completely around with his endless positivity, compliments, and silly jokes.
He is so friendly, professional, and somehow makes taking photos not feel awkward at all!

Best Decision

When we got engaged I knew I wanted David to be our photographer. He photographed my best friends wedding and after working closely with him and seeing his style I knew he was the right choice for our wedding. David was always responsive via email and phone. He always put my me and my husbands needs and wants before anything else. He always reminded us that it was our day and he was there for us. David is extremely efficient and organized. The day of our wedding he made sure that everything ran smoothly so my husband and I did not have to worry about a thing.

When we received our pictures we were blown. My husband and I enjoyed reliving our big day. We especially loved the colors in the pictures. Everything was so bright and true to color, we felt like we were right back in the moment.

Wonderful photographer!

David Apuzzo photographed my engagement session with my fiancé Jason in June 2019. When we initiated the conversation about the shoot, David was wonderful in working with our busy schedules on finding a date that worked for us all. He sent invoices quickly and always responded in a timely manner to emails, calls, and texts. He was very attentive to our needs and vision: I sent him multiple images of “inspiration” and on our shoot day, he looked over our previous email multiple times to make sure he got every shot we requested. Talk about attention to detail! We have so many beautiful photos in our home that capture our love for one another - and it’s all thanks to David! He’s a professional, attentive, and dedicated photographer who aims to please and is amazing at what he does. If I could rate our engagement shots on a scale of 1-10, David would surely earn an 11. A+!

You Would be Crazy to Hire Anyone Else!

Of all the vendors we hired for my wedding, David Apuzzo was the best. In fact, we wish we could have paid him for taking on wedding coordination duties. Not only is David an extremely talented photographer, but he is kind, professional, reasonably priced, and highly competent. His co-photographer, Tim, is also talented, kind, and invaluable. He was able to help groomsmen pin their boutonnières! The wedding was hectic, as many are for the bride and groom, but the pictures David took helped us relive moments and see the things we weren't able to see that day, and he didn't miss a moment! David also worked closely with the music, caterer, and vineyard to ensure a successful wedding. Additionally, I (bride) had a very brief emotional moment while getting ready. David cleared the room and helped me calm down and probably helped avert a meltdown. Needless to say, David Apuzzo went above and beyond the call of duty and produced the most beautiful wedding photos. We recommend David Apuzzo Photography above all others!

Experienced Professional Photographer With A Great Eye!

We hired David for our wedding (which will take place this October 2019) and part of his package included an engagement shoot, which we did this past May. We couldn't be happier with the photos! From the get go, David was warm and welcoming, and immediately made us feel comfortable. He took the time to make sure lighting and positioning was ideal for each photo, which put us at ease knowing we were working with a true professional. Our little doggie who came along to make an appearance in some photos was a little stressed, and David was a champ about it. To top it off, we received the photos just a few days later, and they are beautiful! We are so glad we chose to go with David as our photographer and have total confidence in him capturing the best moments of our wedding this coming October!

Follow-Up Post Wedding:
We couldn't be happier with the decision we made to have David as our wedding photographer! Not only did he capture the entire day beautifully, he was by my side to assist with anything I needed (including helping my MOH bustle my dress which was quite difficult)! We also made a last minute change on the venue for the post wedding pictures (David had spotted an area with beautiful fall foliage) and they came out more beautiful than we could have hoped. Every moment and emotion was captured. The time, talent and care that David puts into his work truly shows. Should we need a photographer down the road for any special events, we will definitely be returning customers!

Absolutely AMAZING Photographer

David was the best photographer we could have ever imagined photograph our special day. He captured every moment I could have wanted to see captured and i cannot put into words how amazing it was to see the final product. David's attention to detail and creativity with poses made each picture tell a story, especially even the candid photos. You could feel the emotion in each picture he and his assistant captured and seeing each picture after the event made those moments even more special. I can't say enough good things about our experience with David. He was attentive and encouraging throughout the entire planning process right through the end of our wedding day. He worked with our venue/caterer to iron out all the details. Working with him helped make the day even more memorable. His team was spectacular and helped us feel at ease. I'm not the best with being the center of attention or being photographed but working with David took a lot of that stress away. He and his team were 100% professional and had an open ear all day long (I even got a very helpful pep talk during some stressful moments before the ceremony - thanks, Joel!). I met David over 10 years ago when he was shooting photos for a friend. After seeing his studio and work I was super impressed and I new one day I would use him for my wedding photos. I first met David when he photographed my brother's wedding years earlier, and he did such a fantastic job then, I knew when it was my turn, he would be one of the first vendors we would book. David has the amazing ability of catching all the little moments throughout the day; his shots of our guests at the wedding are some of my favorites! As David has been doing weddings for many years, he is also a great source for advice throughout the entire process. He also stayed on schedule all day and snuck us outside for some breathtaking sunset shots. As he has been in the wedding business for many years, he was able to share some tips and tricks with us which made our day even more memorable! One of his best traits though is David taking the time to get to know each of his couples and always making them feel like they are his top priority. I am so happy we booked him for our day!

It’s not every day that the groom actually finds the photographer! My husband met David through their bowling league and started talking about our wedding. David told Marcus he was a photographer and for us to check out his work. We only looked forward from there! David was informative and patient with us through our year of planning. He emailed and called to check in on us to make sure we were doing ok! Our engagement session just solidified why we went witn David. He made us feel less awkward and comfortable in front of the camera. Our pictures were nothing short of amazing and we couldn’t wait for the wedding day. The day of the wedding David kept our large wedding party in line and on schedule. We all had so much fun shooting!! Now one month later, we can’t stop looking at our pictures! Definition of MOBZilla: Mother of the Bride/Godzilla. I am the dreaded MOBZilla. My daughter hired David Apuzzo to be her wedding photographer. I called David and said, “Listen to me young man. Your job is to capture every wonderful moment but you MUST make me look taller, thinner and ten years younger and if you don’t do that I’m going to make sure that the final payment check bounces.” He did not seem nervous which made me scared for him. Clearly he had no idea who he was dealing with.

Take a look at the picture, which MIRACULOUSLY made me look like I was on the red carpet at the Oscars and he made me look better than I could have imagined for the old broad that I am. That check will not bounce.
But enough about me. On December 17th, my youngest, my baby got married at The Barns in Middletown. David was and IS amazing. He was patient, kind, professional and organized. What sets him apart is his talent and his eye for detail and emotion. He captured it all with artistry.

To all the brides and mother of the brides out there, if you are looking for the VERY best in wedding photography, look no further than the talent and creative energy of David Apuzzo. We absolutely loved working with David! He made us feel very comfortable during the engagement session and during our wedding day. We were originally hesitant to do an engagement session but he encouraged us to do one to get used to being in front of the camera- it made a big difference on our wedding day to know what to expect! He is full of great advice like this. David stayed for our entire wedding day and was able to capture so many amazing dance floor memories, including grandparents dancing. Some of these things might have been missed if we had a photographer that didn't stay until the end of the reception. We have gotten amazing feedback from friend and family after sharing our photos with them. We highly recommend David!

I found David after searching through multiple photographers in my area online, but it was his blog that really made me think he was the right photographer for us (that and his beautiful photos of course!). He wrote about wanting to focus more on a "documentary" or "lifestyle" point of view, and that's exactly what I wanted for our intimate, backyard wedding. I wasn't sure if our small wedding would be something a well-known photographer would be interested in, but he was very enthusiastic from the start. He had great suggestions about lighting and timing when we were making plans, and he was very reassuring about how things would go on the big day. At the wedding he was patient and laid-back, but he was also great a wrangling everyone so that we could get all of the shots that we needed. We did want some traditional photos, and David was fantastic at directing us into appropriate poses, but he also managed to get many pictures throughout the day of more natural moments too, which we absolutely loved. He even took the time to make sure he got lots of pictures of our dog, who is a very important part of our lives! We will always be grateful to David for capturing our day!

Selecting a photographer to document our wedding was easy once we met with David at his studio! He definitely put any nerves I had at ease in regards to the whole process...my husband and I thought it would feel awkward and staged during our engagement photo shoot; instead, it just felt like a normal day of us walking our dog, Arrow, and enjoying each other's company...and we truly felt the photos portrayed that in the most natural way possible!

On our actual wedding day, David was amazing with our unique requests and also jumping in and making sure we stayed on schedule to get all the photos and poses we wanted done. We had two "First Looks," being that we were also taking photos in traditional Vietnamese wedding outfits prior to our ceremony. We never felt rushed and each first look felt special in their own way! I was also very persistent in making sure Arrow was well documented throughout our wedding day, and David and his team were awesome at getting our dog's attention and puppy expressions in all the photos! It truly made me so happy to see our family photos, Arrow included! As the day progressed, David and his team blended in so well that we didn't even notice them taking pics during the reception...which produced some awesome candid photos on the dance floor!

To top it off, the turnaround time for when we received the photos was very quick! We were not expecting the quantity either, as there are countless photos documenting every important detail of our day! Our family and friends have also ooh'ed and awe'ed at our photos, and we have received so many compliments about the quality of our photos! So many to choose from, so many we're in love with! We would not hesitate to recommend David and his team to anyone who is looking for great work, and even more important, a fun and easy going team! Thank you so much for documenting our special day and making it truly special to reflect on!

David was wonderful! He took so many great shots! I tended to get overwhelmed easily during wedding planning, and David was patient with me during all of those moments. His team was great as well, especially his second photographer, Tim. David's team was very personable and friendly. I also couldn't believe how quickly our photos came back. I was prepared to wait months, like many of my friends have with their wedding photographers, but David had our photos ready to view in a couple of weeks! We were very happy with all of our images. David was honestly the absolute best from the very beginning. We were referred to him from a friend that followed his work on social media. After scrolling through his Instagram, it was clear as day that David is extremely talented. We met with him at his studio in Hamden, and it honestly felt like we had been friends for years. He made us feel extremely comfortable and at ease. We got married this past January and the one thing I didn't think through when booking a winter wedding was light. When planning the ceremony it did not cross my mind that it gets dark earlier in the winter. At our final meeting David brought this to our attention and once again put us at ease and figured out a way for us to be able to get daytime pictures without doing a first look. The day of our wedding there was a snow storm and the pictures David took were AMAZING!!! He made standing outside in the freezing cold totally worth it! David Apuzzo is a professional I would recommend anyone to use - especially for the most important and best day of your life when you want everything to be perfect. He was the photographer at my wedding and my husband and I were impressed before we even saw the pictures. From the very beginning he met us at the salon and took some amazing shots of my bridesmaids and I so we could get some exciting moments documented of getting ready for my big day! While getting ready to walk down the isle, my four bridesmaids and mother could not figure out the extra clasps I had put on my dress - but David came through and was able to fix the dress clasps! He then continued to make sure we got all the shots we wanted and went above and beyond. The time line and details were even changed because he took the time to sit with us and learn what is important to us. We were not planning on doing a first look, but he explained why maybe we would like it - and it was such a good idea and time saver, which in the end allowed us to spend more time with our guests that was one thing we expressed was important to us. He went above and beyond to make sure he took every shot we wanted. To finish off the night I asked him if we could take a group shot of everyone left. For a split second we were looking for someone to try to make an announcement to gather everyone together - without hesitation he stood on a chair and got everyone's attention to meet on the dance floor for one last picture! We recently received our pictures and they exceeded our expectations! They are amazing and so many to pick from!! He does an amazing job while keeping in mind it is your day and listens to what is important to you! A true professional. At the end of the day he was not just a photographer at the wedding but a guest we were so glad to have and I have already recommended him to many of my friends!!!!

My husband Dan and I were married on September 30, 2016 and had David as our photographer. As both of us had worked with him in the past at friends weddings, it was no question that we would use him for ours. We are SO happy we picked David Apuzzo for photography. We recently got married, and had an amazing experience with David! Words can’t express how much it was a pleasure working with him. I found him through the knot and after meeting him we knew, “he was the one”. We met with other photographers, but David immediately made us both feel at ease and comfortable. This feeling of comfort was not temporary, he continuously kept us updated, quickly responded to emails, and always kept positive. He really listened to what we wanted and tried to accommodate our needs. One example, is we wanted our engagement pictures to be on ice, and even though he had never done it before, he was willing to do something new for us (they came out amazing!). We did not know David Apuzzo before we chose him to photograph our August 2015 wedding. Sure, we interviewed him and the usual discussions between a bride/groom and prospective vendor ensued. What we did not know is that we would be gaining a friend for life. David is not only passionate (and a perfectionist) when it comes to his work, his art; but he is also down to earth and someone who is easy to work with. I recently used David Apuzzo for engagement pictures and wedding pictures. I cannot be happier with this decision. David is a professional photographer, in the truest sense. He has his own studio and was incredibly professional and responsive throughout the process of our initial meetings, our engagement pictures and ultimately our wedding. While I haven't seen the full portfolio of wedding pictures, the photos I have seen are beautiful and I am fully confident the rest will be of the same quality. David was also really friendly and was able to rally my unruly family for the formal photos after the wedding. Sometimes this is exactly what you need in a photographer! he also worked really well with our videographer and was not in competition with them, rather in sync with them. David Apuzzo just finished photographing our August 2014 wedding. We just go the pictures back last week and my wife and I were both floored by the results.

We had high expectations for David having seen some of his other work as well as the photographs he did for a friend's wedding, but I would not have imagined such fantastic results.

The use of style, focus, creativity and overall sharpness of his photographs were stunning.

We looked at a lot of photographers both in David's price range and cheaper and while wedding photographs are a significant expense of a wedding, the quality you get for the price makes David Apuzzo well worth every penny.

Lastly, David as a person was very easy to work with. He's flexible with payments, meeting locations and times, distance and he does a great job of getting to know what you want on your wedding day. The included engagement photos were a great way to get to know David and I would gladly recommend him to my closest friends.

David was FANTASTIC! We did a lot of searching for a photographer and were so lucky to find David. He made us feel incredibly comfortable having our pictures taken (something my husband and I are not very comfortable doing) and all of the photos came out great! We had a complicated pre-wedding course with a move half-way across the country, but David was flexible to set up meetings/engagements sessions and even did a couple Skype meetings for us. Overall we would HIGHLY recommend David to anyone!

Can't say enough good things about David! Our engagement pictures were stunning, our wedding photos were incredible. David is so creative, and has a lot of experience in the industry. He also has a great personality, is extremley patient, and is willing to spend the time with you to get to know you and your style. I have recommended him to others, and they have had nothing but nice things to say as well. I can guarentee you will be nothing but happy with the quality of his work!!

I had to come on here and let my fellow CT brides know, that David Apuzzo is seriously the BEST wedding photographer! Looking back at our whole wedding adventure, my (now) husband and I have realized what an amazing person we had documenting our day! We'd always heard and seen great things, but he truly captured our engagement and wedding better than I could've ever hoped for! He is not only a fun, easy-going guy, he's also super professional and pays attention to DETAIL! My head was spinning on my wedding day but it didn't matter because he thought of everything! A true professional and nice person. He was on-time to everything and quick to respond to any call or e-mail I sent. I've already had a friend see my pictures and scoop him up for their wedding too. You absolutely can't go wrong with David, worth every penny, just make sure you call EARLY! He books up quick!

David is so talented! From my maternity photos to our engagement session to our wedding, I've never been disappointed with David's work! He doesn't just take photos, he makes the photo! He always catches the most perfect moments! Words can't adequately describe how incredibly impressed both my husband and I are with David. He photographed our wedding and we are over the moon with how well the pictures turned out. His quality of work is unsurpassed. We were initially drawn to him after seeing the many beautiful pictures on his blog...little did we know that the pictures we would receive would be even better! We absolutely love them. We have received so many compliments from those who have seen our pics - everyone is impressed! He is also responsive and very professional. He was very respectful with regards to our church and venue, as well - which really helped the day to go smoothly. He was worth every penny and his prices are reasonable. There not enough words I can say that can truly describe how amazing David Apuzzo and his group are! From the moment we booked him until the day of the wedding he was very professional and patient and helpful. I was particularly under stress due to some major life changes including my career. I was living away from home and was way in over my head. David went through great lengths and bent over backwards to help organize and arrange everything needed. When we saw our friend's wedding photos we knew that we wanted to meet with David about our own wedding. He came highly recommended. Just by going to his website you can see how amazing his photos are. One of the main reasons we chose David to capture the most important day of our lives is because he is much more creative and "non traditional" in our eyes, than any other photographer out there. His photos have an edge, and a certain unique factor. He listens to what you as a couple want and he delivers exactly what you ask for! Your wedding day can be hectic, but with David there, you have one less thing to worry about. He is incredibly detail oriented, organized, and knowledgeable. He treated not only me and my husband with respect and care but our guests and wedding party as well. He is there for you 1,000% from the moment you hire him. What I liked about David was that on a day that is very special, exciting, a bit chaotic, and a little nerve wracking, he made us feel very comfortable and at ease with the way he went about taking our photos. Which I really appreciated. He did a fantastic job of capturing beautiful moments on our wedding day. I would highly recommend David as a photographer for any occasion.

When we were searching for a photographer we were looking for someone who photographed differently than the normal wedding photographers (every photo and album we came across looked pretty much the same). David Apuzzo is an amazing photographer and so creative! Even our guests from out of the country commented on our wedding and engagement photos.

Our family and guests like to party and David captured that in our photos at our wedding/reception. He also made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera. Our engagement shoot was taken right next to a dog park (our dog was in our shoot). You would have never known by looking at the photos. We also had an engagement shoot at our local beach. When viewing our engagement photos it actually looked like we went to a bunch of different locations, when in actuality we only went to two!

We completely trusted David in picking our location for our wedding photos. He knew I didn’t really want the normal pictures of the venue. He found a great location in New Haven for us. It completely went with the theme of our wedding and was very modern, creative and just different than the norm. David was also easy to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone getting married or needing a photographer for pictures.

Hiring David Apuzzo and his team of photgraphers to photograph our wedding was the best decision my fiance and I could have done in order to capture every detail of our special day. From working with David on our engagement session to the wedding day and now getting the stunning shots- we are left speechless! David has captured images from our day that only a true professional would be able to get with matching up the lighting, getting all family members to smile and making everyone look their best. David and his team were very flexible throughout the day and I can honestly say that there will be a shrine of photgraphs from our wedding in our home. I would without blinking an eye recommend David Apuzzo to photograph any upcoming wedding for a bride who wants the "typical shots" with a twist of a modern spin to them and making their photos one of a kind and truly making every photo have a thousand words to go with them. My search for a photographer was probably the most stressful part of planning our wedding. I hated every one I came across because they were all the same generic pictures with no a lot of creativity behind them. I come from an artistic background so an amazing photographer was a must in my eyes. Then by accident I found David's site. His photography was the first (and only) time I stopped what I was doing and my jaw literally dropped. All I kept saying to myself was this was it. I found what I wanted. I remember first getting into contact with him and saying 'look we're just two punk rock kids that want to get married' and from that point on we had our photographer. David was always relaxed and reassuring during our meetings. We did our engagement photos and wedding pictures with him and everything turned out amazing. The little peeks of the finished products we've seen from both events definitely reiterate we went with the right people!!

David Apuzzo, Photography truly made our wedding day spectacular. Several months prior to our wedding, we met for a unique engagement shoot. This shoot really helped us to prepare for our big day. David Apuzzo met with us personally multiple times to sort out every last detail and create a schedule for our wedding day. On our wedding day, David and his crew were highly professional and helped to keep our day running smoothly. We had a large wedding party, and the team maneuvered it all beautifully and minimized chaos. The team captured every moment of our day without missing a single thing. What attracted me to hiring David Apuzzo as my photographer for my wedding was the quality of his work and how vivid and unique it is. During our engagement shoot we were really comfortable with David and it was a fun day. David is very down to earth and a cool guy and knows his stuff. On the wedding day David did his thing and I didn't have to worry about it. I love our pictures!!!! We love David! He had our complete confidence during the wedding planning and on that day. We had planned for an autumn wedding in October of 2011, and ended up with a freak snowstorm--yes, our wedding day was October 29, 2011 (the storm that knocked out power for 12 days). And the wedding itself was outside on the water in the middle of the snowstorm. David kept in touch with me throughout the day, making sure he was on the same page. He showed up prepared to photograph our wedding ceremony in some crazy conditions. And through it all, he was absolutely amazing. We were even able to get a few fantastic photos outside in the storm, which came out to be stunning. He readily went with the flow of the day and was so kind, flexible, and generous. I cannot even believe how awesome those snowy pictures turned out to be! I don't know how he pulled it off.

A few weeks after our intense wedding day, David scheduled yet another day with us to make up for the storm. We were able to re-create the day and had an absolutely beautiful photo-shoot.

The compliments we have received on the photos have been tremendous. We couldn't be more pleased. We have artistic, unique taste in photography, and we wanted someone who was not just a "wedding photographer." Hence, we chose David Apuzzo, who is a talented photographer with true vision--not just a guy holding a camera. He is wonderful--as a professional and a human being.

If you're looking for a photographer who is down-to-earth, truly talented, and someone you'd actually want at your wedding, go with David! I truly mean every word of this review.

David did an absolute amazing job for our wedding pictures. He was so incredibly kind and helpful to not only the wedding party, but to all of my family and guests. He went above and beyond with customer service and his quality of work truly fit our style and helped continue the tone of our wedding venue.

I have had the pleasure of working with him for other projects, but to really see him in action was a breath of fresh air on such a hectic day- because I knew everything was taken care of. David is very kind, flexible, and is very detail oriented from his work, to scheduling, etc.

David traveled with my husband and I to Walt Disney World in Florida for our destination wedding. Each bride's wedding day is one of the most memorable moments in her life, and I felt that each picture David took captured the emotion and feeling of that day. David Apuzzo and his team were phenomenal. From our engagement shoot to our wedding we were nothing less than absolutely impressed. My husband and I werent crazy about the idea of having an engagement shoot, but after speaking with David and planning a less traditional shoot we were pleasantly suprised with how much fun we had, how amazing the photos came out, and how much our friends and family enjoyed them. On the wedding day I didnt have to think twice. Everyone was in place and where they were supposed to be, exactly when they were supposed to be. His team he worked with on both occassions (engagement shoot and wedding day) were great to work with. I was curious how the "getting ready" photos were going to be since I had David with me and the girls, and they guys photos were perfect. I would highly reccommend David Apuzzo Photography. He was willing to work with us on all levles, timing, cost, and was able to help us keep a touch of traditional to appease our families, with just the right balance of creativeness and non-traditional shots that we wanted.

David is definitely a step above most mainstream photographers. The artistic value gained does not come at the cost of professionalism. He is a great communicator, during both scheduling and taking photos. He has an eye for what most people don't, and was very respectful and organized. The sound of a camera shutter or flashes never distracted from the ceremonies. David and his crew blended in well, and still got ever shot we could ever want.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about David Apuzzo Photography. David is a true artist with an extremely creative eye. My husband and I wanted our wedding documented in a way that showcased who we are as people and as a couple. David was able to capture the fun we have with each other, the amazing time everyone had at our wedding and our "style" on film. I am so happy we have so many memorable moments that we are able to relive each time we look through our wedding album.

David Apuzzo is by far one of the most talented, creative, and easy to work with wedding photographers around. We just got our wedding pictures back and there is not a bad picture among them. One of the best parts of working with David was once the formal pictures were done, we hardly even noticed him at the reception at all. He and his assistant moved around the crowd and were able to catch some amazing memories on film without anyone even knowing he was there. We have only been married for 2 months, but the day was such a blur that when we looked back at the pictures, it brought back all the emotions and fun of the day, and in 20 years it will do the same. Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and having a good photographer is one of the most important parts of that day, with that said hiring David Apuzzo was one of the best decisions we could have made.

Working with David was an amazing experience. He recently photographed my August wedding and we truly could not have asked for anyone better. He has an amazing artistic eye, really knows his craft, and on top of it all has a great demeanor to work with. His images are not your 'average' wedding-style photography and that's a huge factor in why we chose him. He doesn't have one style per-say, but rather after meeting with you he figures out a style that best suits who the couple is and their unique personalities. And your photos will capture just that - you, your emotions, and your unique memories and to us, that was priceless. Luckily though, the price was just right! He offers a variety of options that you can mix and match to make your own custom 'package'. At the very least, just by signing on with David we were guaranteed a full day of coverage (no time limit or image limit) a second photographer, an assistant, online photo availability, and an engagement shoot! You really cannot beat the quality, service, and overall experience you will get with choosing David. I would highly recommend him for wedding or simply any photography project.

I first saw some of David's photography on facebook, since he had photographed some mutual friends and then I found his blog and saw all the various weddings and engagement photos he had taken and I was absolutely blown away. His style is artistic, raw, classy and brilliant which sets him apart from other wedding photographers. My fiance and I immediately agreed that we wanted to hire him as our photographer for our August 2010 wedding. When we met with David he was super friendly, laid back and very acommodating and he worked with us to create a wedding package that worked for us. I first saw David's work while viewing pictures from a friend's sisters wedding. I was not yet engaged, but was so impressed by his work that I knew I had to have him as a photographer when my time came. Soon after my now husband popped the question, and David was one of the first vendors we booked! We could not have been any happier with the way our engagement and wedding photos came out. David knows how to capture the true beauty in a photo, and adds the perfect artistic touch to make your wedding photos look like no other. The compliments are endless, and many of our friends have booked him as their own wedding photographer from viewing our photos. I met David through my husband as they have been long time friends. David did our engagement shots as well as our destination wedding shots. We brought David all the way out to Las Vegas, NV for our wedding which ended up being a 2 day photography event. We had all of the traditional wedding prep and wedding photos done. They came out beautifully. The day after the wedding my husband, maid of honor, best man and myself all traveled out into the desert to the Neon Sign Graveyard and had a second photoshoot with David. The photos were fantastic and very original. We have since ordered many prints, and the quality has been spot on excellent. We are very grateful to have a close friend with such a wonderful talent and keen eye. Thanks David!

David Apuzzo photography is the best! David is both talented and artistic. My wedding pictures are amazing! I could not have asked for more beautiful pictures. David and his staff are so professional and relaxed as they did not overwhelm us with wedding shots. My husband and I really enjoyed working with them. Indeed, they were both extremely nice and accommodating.
Truly, David is a wonderful photographer as we are still in awe of his work. I would highly recommend him for your wedding day! You will not be disappointed!

This is the guy you've been looking for... besides the one you are marrying. David is such a great guy, makes you feel so comfortable and so easy going. I was so excited to see the pictures and they came out better than i could've imagined!! You can really tell that he loves his job and that really shows in his work. He did an amazing job and i couldn't have asked for anything more. So far my family has used him 3 times and we have never been disappointed. I would recommend him to anyone for anything.

I found David Apuzzo online and view his pictures and instantly loved what he did. When we met, his pricing was affordable and the quality of the pictures was just what we were looking for. He was very organized and kept everyone on track for our more formal pictures and did a wonderful job photographing all of the candid shots. We would absolutely use him again for another occasion.

David Apuzzo was the absolute perfect photographer for my wedding. i am so incredibly pleased with the pictures he took. He listened to me and my groom and did everything exactly the way we wanted. the only problem we are encountering is being able to pick which pictures we want in our album! i highly recommend David Apuzzo photography.
