Dark and Diamond were excellent

Katie and Michael were so great to work with. They were extremely easy to communicate with, and understood what we were interested in based on our limited knowledge of floral design. They gave our vision life and personality that was even better than we could have imagined.

They were especially helpful in explaining our options for how we could use flowers in the various spaces, and also helped us to think about how we could repurpose some following our ceremony. This was great as we had a small wedding and still wanted to fill our venue.

The flowers were beautiful and the experience was stress free. Wonderful all around!

Blown away by Dark and Diamond!

Katie and the D&D team blew us away as our wedding florist! The planning process was really collaborative and fun, and D&D was able to take our vague vision and bring it to stunning life. Everything from the ceremony setting, centerpieces, bar pieces, my bouquet, last-minute requests - we were so impressed and moved by how beautiful everything came out. The smallest details were thoughtful and interesting. We had so many guests approach us during and after the wedding to talk about our flowers, from the subtle nuances to the large-scale, big-impact pieces. Katie and team came to us with really great ideas, and then executed flawlessly across our entire wedding weekend.

She was so lovely to work with from beginning to end and has an elevated sense of style that goes beyond flowers for a wedding.

Katie and her teams level of professionalism was on a holy other level and my husband and I loved working with them. She articulated our wild ideas for table scapes that we wouldn't have been able to pull off without her. I highly recommend working with Katie and her team during any season.

Summer Solstice Wedding Flowers!

Katie and her team did an amazing job with the flowers for our wedding. She’s a total professional, and if you let her do her thing she will make flower magic! I wanted colorful wildflower summer solstice vibes for our wedding and Katie’s mood board had me excited but I can’t say I was prepared for how gorgeous everything turned out. As the bridal party and I were all getting ready I had to take a quick trip outside to the reception tent to peek at the flowers and they were just SO good. One of my favorite things we did was ask Katie and her team to move the ceremony arch after the ceremony and group photos so that we could repurpose it as our photobooth backdrop. Katie was super responsive even as we made some changes in the weeks leading up to the wedding. And she made the best flower collars for my dogs 😍 The photos speak for themselves!

Hire Katie and Michael immediately!!

I cannot recommend Dark & Diamond highly enough. Katie and Michael are an incredible team. They took my very high level ideas/visions and executed them beyond expectation. From the beginning, Katie was so diligent and deliberate in understanding my vision, asking really thoughtful questions along the way. Leading up to the wedding, Katie and Michael were very intentional in ensuring that the floral design lined up with the rest of the tables/design. On the day of the wedding, my jaw consistently dropped when I saw the incredible work that they did. In the six months since our wedding, I have received countless compliments about the flowers at our wedding, including from my cousin's husband, who is a florist in India and was in awe of Katie and Michael's work. I would hire Dark & Diamond again in a heartbeat!

We cannot say enough good things about Katie and Michael. They completely brought our vision to life, were an absolute pleasure to work with and executed a very large installation with many details. Katie and Michael were detail-oriented and very experienced. They are true artists. They made the space come alive. No detail was spared. The flowers and design for the wedding exceeded our wildest expectations. We loved everything they did from start to finish. Stunning Florals!

I can't say enough positive things about Katie and her team. As the bride, the wedding day was a complete blur and I only had moments to admire how efficiently Katie and her team executed the most stunning florals for our day. I had a pretty specific vision and I was unsure if I had communicated it properly; but on the day, I felt like Katie intuited my dreams and improved upon them - the florals were absolutely stunning and just what I had hoped for! We got many compliments on them and specifically our dance floor arrangement of garlands. I was told numerous times it was the best wedding a guest had ever attended, in no small part thanks to the seamless execution of my vision by professionals like Katie and her team. THANK YOU.

Amazing floral design!

Katie is an exceptional artist, and a joy to work with! We ordered a bouquet and 4 boutonnières for our wedding in Windham, NY in June 2023, and even though it was a small order in peak wedding season, she took immense care in working with us, and even hand delivered the flowers herself.

My dress had a floral print, and Katie worked with me to identify and source flowers that matched the dress. I’m so grateful for her and her work! I highly recommend you work with her!

There are no words!

I actually have no words to describe the genius that is Katie + Michael. They are incredibly talented humans with hearts of gold and a beautiful and fun child that is the kindest! My now husband and I "joked" that they were our best vendor, but we know there an be a little truth in jest. Seriously, Katie + Michael were a dream to work with and knew exactly how to execute the vision we had. I knew I loved D&D from the first Instagram post I saw but what I couldn’t imagine is that Katie could pull together what I was picturing in my mind and couldn’t verbalize properly! Flower Magic

Dark + Diamond's work for our wedding was a dream come true. Beyond our wildest dreams, even. They took our initial direction + inspiration and expanded on it to put together the most spectacular floral installations I've ever seen. Our ceremony floral installation looked like someone had tapped a magic wand and it had just erupted from the earth in bloom. Everything felt wild, natural, and perfect. And beyond that, Kiki + Michael are such lovely humans and made the whole process so easy and fun. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Beautiful bouquet for a fall wedding

Katie and Michael were such a joy to work with. We had a small elopement and Katie kindly agreed to make just my bouquet and a boutonniere for my husband. We eloped in the Fall in a field, and I wanted my bouquet to look wild and fit in with the gorgeous changing leaves. Amazing!!!!!

We hired Dark + Diamond as our wedding florist, and Katie and Michael did not disappoint! We already knew we loved their style based on their website, but the flowers for our wedding were even more beautiful than we imagined. We gave them a loose idea of what we wanted with very few specifics, and they totally hit it out of the park. When Katie brought me (the bride) my bridal bouquet, I was so excited because they had totally captured the essence I had described. Katie and Michael are absolutely incredible!!! People are still raving about the beautiful artistry of the flowers at our wedding. Every single little detail was perfect. From our initial phone call, I felt so much warmth from Katie and knew that I could fully trust the Dark & Diamond team. Beautiful and Unique

What a great experience working with Dark + Diamond. We basically put the whole vision of our wedding into their hands. We didn't really have a color palate we wanted to use, so we told them "you're the professionals, do what you think will look good" and they did not disappoint. The colors were vibrant and the overall look of the wedding was exactly what we envisioned. Unique and different than any other wedding we've seen and it was perfect.

Fall Floral and foliage bliss

Katie and Michael are phenomenal. If I could give them 10 stars, we would! We created a palate of colors together and a few specific ideas, and they took it artistically above and beyond our wildest fall dreams. I received so many complements on how gorgeous her arrangements, table bud vases, and incredible floral chandelier were. They are kind, punctual, specific but concise (important on your busy big day) and just TALENTED. Highly highly Highly recommend.

Incredibly creative, modern, and wonderful!

It's hard to find the words to describe how incredible working with Dark + Diamond was for our wedding. Like so many, we originally had a big wedding planned for this summer that we had to cancel due to COVID-19. We pivoted to a small wedding with just family, but we knew our floral element would be just as important. Katie was so understanding and totally worked with us to scale down our vision and create something that fit our new outdoor venue. My bouquet was the most spectacular I've ever seen - she brilliantly pulled together gorgeous individual flowers with wildflowers and lots of greenery. The number of compliments I have received about our flowers has been basically endless -- it is nonstop with every photo we share. She also created bud vases for our (small) tables for our guests, which were abundant and overflowing with color and texture. In addition, she found a way to turn an empty patch of grass for our ceremony into a meadow of color and wildflowers. So special!
I can't recommend working with D + D enough. You will not only experience a partner in pulling together your vision, but you will be supporting and working with one of the most genuinely lovely and talented people in the biz.

Magical Flowers

Katie is a true artist and made all my floral dreams come true!

As soon as I engaged with her and received the initial proposal I knew she was the right florist for us. Her work is so unique and beautiful and she immediately captured my vision for the wedding - romantic, timeless florals.

We were originally supposed to work together for a Spring 2020 wedding - when it was derailed due to COVID-19, she was incredibly flexible in accommodating what originally was a rebooking and then became a full pivot to a micro-wedding. She worked with me to scale down the florals but still give me the look/feel that I wanted. As you can see in the pictures, the flowers were literally breathtaking. All of my guests (and friends who had to view photos due to capacity limits) commented on how unique and special the flowers were. I remember telling Katie that I wanted to feel like I was walking through a meadow as I walked down the aisle, and she delivered! The floral curtain was stunning and a showstopper, as were all the table arrangements.

I couldn't have been happier to have Katie and Dark + Diamond part of our day and look forward to working with her again once we have a larger reception in the future!

Dark & Diamond made our wedding dreams a reality!

Dark & Diamond made our wedding dreams a reality! We got married in an empty, industrial space in Brooklyn, so we relied on Dark & Diamond to warm up and personalize the space, and they could not have done a more elegant, interesting and creative job. Each detail was exactly what we wanted, and more than we could have hoped for. The ceremony room felt like a wild, magical garden with the vines creeping up the walls and the stunning escort card table. The chuppah mixed birch trees, wild bunches of of flowers and candles. The reception room was the most dreamy, ethereal, yet natural and organic, feeling -- just as I had hoped. Even the details in the bathrooms were absolute perfection. The result was beyond my imagination.

On top of that, Katie & Mark were so easy and wonderful to work with. Through the entire process, they were professional, flexible, creative and clear. I would recommend them to anyone!

Better than I could have imagined

Do yourself a big favor and just hire Dark and Diamond for your wedding. Katie and Michael are truly artists - their color palettes are beyond stunning and their arrangements are absolute sculpture. Katie took my very loose and vague vision and developed a perfect mood board, and an even more perfect floral design for our wedding. She had great suggestions and guidance throughout the process, and was very flexible in helping make our dreams work within our budget. I saw flowers coming out of the back of the truck on our day and literally teared up they were so beautiful. They took such care with every arrangement, and were so sweet and fun to work with. Our flowers were such a critical part of our design for the weekend, and I simply could not have been happier with Dark and Diamond. I could not recommend them more highly, and hope I can find some more excuses to work with them again in the future. Hire them!!!

Transcendent!

Words cannot describe how ecstatically happy I am with the stunning beautiful floral pieces Katie and Michael created for my wedding! I am INCREDIBLY picky about flowers, and it meant the world to me that I could trust them to bring my vision to life. They were able to vividly bring the energy of a meadow of wildflowers into industrial Brooklyn and it was unlike anything I've ever seen.

They are true artists in every sense of the word, their designs bursting with creativity and innovation. Unlike many other wedding florists, they don't simply throw together as many peonies and roses as you can afford. Instead, they are incredibly deliberate and thoughtful with every design. They work outside the box, including flowers I'd ever never even heard of (like, who would ever think to use hanging amaranth???) and Katie even foraged for some the flowers herself!

Their breathtaking work was the highlight of the entire wedding for me (and many of my guests!). I can't recommend Katie and Michael highly enough and promise that if you trust them to work their magic, you won't regret it!

Stunning and Unique

Dark + Diamond takes wedding floral to a whole new level. Katie and Michael are incredibly talented florists and can create masterpieces to fit your vision. I was not particular on the type of flower used and I am SO glad I gave them full creative on the choices. They decorated my entire wedding venue (which was outdoors at a vineyard) including the venues' pole barn and the rented century tent. They made the space space look classy, elegant and breath taking.

Katie and Michael were so sweet and easy to work with. As soon as we met them I knew they would be a great asset to my wedding team. I have never seen such talent.. and they do it all! They were the only choice to make my wedding decor dreams come true.

I swooned over every single photo I have ever seen of Dark + Diamond's floral designs, so I gave them a deposit before I even had a palette in mind (also before I met them, before I saw any work in person, before I had the slightest concept for the wedding, etc.) -- it was out of character for me, a research queen, but I am BEYOND grateful I did. Because, what Dark + Diamond's instagram photos and portfolio don't show is just how kind, attentive, responsive, intuitive, astute, creative, and all-around awesome they are! I knew from the instant I spoke with Katie that I could trust them to do an amazing job, so I never even asked for a sample - I was right, and they nailed it. Somehow, though I can't say I was ever entirely clear with my "vision," Katie + Michael made all of my floral dreams come true, and turned our event space (the Roundhouse) and our wedding into something so beautiful I really couldn't have imagined it. (And for the record, my now-husband 10000% agrees!) Trust me - you will not regret working with them!!!!

Dark + Diamond completley understood our vision and made it into more than I could have imagined. Dark + Diamond are truly floral artists! They created beautiful arrangements with just one brainstorming meeting, a few emails and some inspirational images. The centerpieces and bouquets were created with seasonal flowers and succulents. We were thrilled with how all of the elements came out. Katie and Michael delivered the bouquets and boutonnieres to our rooms on the morning of our wedding. What a lovely personal touch! I can't say enough about Katie and Michael of Dark + Diamond. We shopped around the Hudson Valley area when looking for a florist for our wedding at the Roundhouse, and Dark + Diamond stood out among the rest. I am no expert when it comes to florals, but I had a very specific style in mind and Katie and Michael TOTALLY got it. They were very flexible with our budget and always offered us options to achieve the look that we wanted and were always happy to take a look at my latest pinterest finds. We made some special requests to have some of our florals transitioned from the ceremony to the reception and they were on top of it, every step of the way, with smiles on their faces! Michael and Katie will treat you like a friend (and actually, you'll want to be their friends because they are the coolest) and they will make the wedding florals of your dreams come alive...they definitely did for me! Dark & Diamond are responsible for helping to create a magical wonderland at the Bear Mountain Inn for our wedding. From our first meeting with them at their home, my husband and I knew they were our kindred spirits. We wanted a rustic romantic vibe with colors that played off of the natural beauty of Bear Mountain. The best part about working with Katie and Michael was we gave them general ideas and they blew it out from there. We gave them full creative freedom to make our ceremony, cocktail and reception into a beautiful rustic dream. In addition to providing all of the beautiful flowers for our event, we were also able to rent a bunch of decor from them--vintage suitcases, chalkboards, lanterns, candles, etc. Giving full creative freedom to them allowed us not to worry about small details about the decor which was fantastic. We knew they would make our day beautiful and they did. Taking it a step further, instead of traditional table numbers we decided we wanted to have different woodland animals be our table numbers. They leveraged a friend of theres to design wood carved animals for us and make the escort cards. Katie also designed a headpiece for me with vintage silk flowers and a birdcage veil that brought my entire wedding look together. I cannot say enough how wonderful Katie & Michael are to work with. They're responsive, creative, organized and just all around awesome people. HIGHLY recommend them!

We cannot thank the floral artisans enough, Dark + Diamond, for making our daughters wedding vision a reality. With their creative insite, they enhanced every floral piece they delivered to our venue "The Roundhouse" in Bacon NY. From the beautiful succulent and fern draped arch framing the waterfall and later the main staircase, to the stunning floral headpiece that adorned my daughters hair, it could not have been any prettier. The hopps and bottle cap boutonnières, floral combs and one of a kind succulent bouquets were a wonderful addition to the bridal party procession. Flower filled wine bottles were surrounded in vine wreaths and several succulents were arranged around the framing wreath. Smaller bottles with flowers were displayed along side the ceremony chairs and later on the cocktail hour tables. Many of our guests took flowers home and commented on their beauty and variety of plant. Katie and Michael outdid themselves for our guest table by building a free standing letter "K" flower box, filled with moss and various succulents. This box will now go on display in their home. I came to Katie and Michael with no color scheme and no strong direction, just a few words that conveyed what I had in my mind. I knew I wanted woodsy, natural, and organic, but I was also looking for a floral designer that was creative and would think outside the box. From just a few words, Katie and Michael pulled an idea out of my mind and made it come to life in something that was truly magical. My now husband said it best when he described that Katie and Michael don't create centerpieces, they create SCENERY. Katie and Michael were amazing to work with for our August wedding at the Roundhouse. They are incredibly talented - I think our flowers were some of the prettiest I've ever seen - and they went above and beyond to meet our needs. While I went into our first conversation without any sense of what I wanted, Katie walked me through everything and asked all the right questions. They are also professional with a personal touch. I felt like they really took the time to get to know us, and our style, so that the final result perfectly fit us as a couple. Katie and Michael are incredible people and florists! They blew me away with their incredibly beautiful and unique table displays, flower arrangements and bouquets. Katie made me the most unbelievable flower crown. It was so beautiful and I received so many compliments on the flower crown and the colorful flower and fruit tables they designed. If you want natural, authentic, romantic and beautiful flowers, choose dark and diamond. I know they put a lot of time and effort into these arrangements and constantly had to move them around due to rain. They are a tremendous pair and really accommodating and easy to work with. I highly recommend them! At the end of the night, my guests all got to go home with beautiful centerpieces and urns. They totally understood my vision and executed it better than I could have imagined. The flowers made my wedding a real life dream come true!

We were married at the Roundhouse in June, and can't speak highly enough about Katie and Michael's amazing work. The floral design exceeded my expectations and really helped personalize and warm up a relatively sparse space. Their eye for color and design is incredible, and I am sure that they can make anyone's floral design visions come to life. They were also very responsive and helpful on the day of the wedding--I asked for them to change some of the flowers in a hairpiece they made for me, and they were really accommodating, made the changes right away, and got it back to me quickly! They also stuck around for the ceremony to freshen my bouquet and put the petals in the aisle so they were fresh for the ceremony. Little details like that are things that you don't want to be worrying about the day of the wedding, and they have you covered! Dark + Diamond is a vendor you can completely leave your trust in, which is huge when you have so much to juggle. Highly recommend!

Katie and Michael were truly the most amazing people. We met them in their beautiful home in Beacon and had a really personal meeting with them where they were so in sync with our requests, offered amazing suggestions, and just totally got our vision. They are the sweetest people and were so incredibly kind and communicative (not to mention incredibly cool!). Throughout the whole process of planning for our wedding, they were SO responsive, tailored our requests to our budget requirements and ultimately put together floral arrangements that exceeded our expectations. From the chuppah (which they very respectfully crafted around a personal Talis), to the aisle, to the centerpieces, to unique vintage pieces they scavenged for - our wedding was beyond what we could have ever imagined, and it was largely thanks to them. We had so many friends come up to us and tell us that our wedding looked like it came right out of Pinterest. Katie and Michael are truly the best - highly highly recommend!

this husband and wife team work really well together. they are detailed and thorough in the consultation and get you an inspiration board and quote very quickly. the sample day, if desired, doesn't come included in price however it was definitely worth the extra expense as they made everything come to life in the most beautiful way. dark + diamond are very talented artists and florists. for two people they made 17 of our tables with 3-5 arrangements EACH. lots of work in addition to church, bridal party, and cocktail hour flowers. I was so happy to support a local small business and highly recommend them. thank you Katie and Mike!

I couldn't be happier with how our flowers turned out for our wedding. Not to say I am surprised! From the moment we met them, we were immediately put at ease. We didn't have any idea of what we wanted our vision to be, and they helped guide us by discussing our personal styles, visions, and budget. They were incredibly responsive when it came to altering things for our budget, and were easy to work with when we needed to change things somewhat last minute.

Katie and Michael were a delight to work with! My husband and I had a September wedding at Glynwood in Cold Spring, New York, and we wanted our flowers to evoke a bit of a 1920's elegance while still being a little wild - something like "Art Deco meets the farm" using shades of green and white. Shortly after our first conversation, Katie sent back a proposal with a bunch of images that showed that they completely understood the idea that I described over the phone. The proposal also showed that they were prepared to take the concept to the next level by suggesting types of greenery and flowers that we would never have considered on our own (or had even seen before!). Throughout the whole process, they were quick to respond and were also very flexible when we had to make some changes, like adding groomsmen's boutonnieres or a last minute addition of an extra table. But here's where they really came through: in our first conversation, I mentioned that ranunculus was my favorite flower, but knowing that it's out of season in September, I asked if they could just include flowers that have a similar shape. We were prepared to see a replacement, but you can imagine my delight and surprise on the wedding day when I saw all of the arrangements include some of the nicest, white ranunculus I have ever seen, including the buds in our boutonnieres. Katie and Michael are true artists and we are so glad that we got to include their work in our wedding.

Dark and Diamond provided the flowers for my wedding in Glynwood Farm in August. The owners, Katie and Michael, are so talented and wonderful to work with. They were very professional, flexible and also perceptive about our preferences and style. They did centerpieces, bridal bouquets, and designed a stunning floral arch for our ceremony. The bouquets and centerpieces were the most beautiful flower arrangements I have ever seen. They incorporated local flowers, herbs, and wild flowers so that the flowers blended perfectly with the farm surroundings. The flowers were so delicate and natural looking, even though a lot of thought and attention went into the arrangement. They made our wedding magical! Katie and Michael of the Dark + Diamond Floral Design team are insanely amazing. First, you will meet them and you immediately want to become their best friends. As people and florists, they are a perfect combination of cool, artistic, engaged, easy going, thoughtful, and special. At my first meeting I really appreciated how Katie was very much locked in on me (the bride) and what I wanted, among the other conversations and thoughts in the room from others. She was super responsive and also collaborative on phone and emails when it came to the flower palette, vessels and details for the arrangements and bridal party flowers. She even made us a flower cheat sheet so we could see how everything fit together! They definitely took the time and attention to make sure we were happy with their vision. My mom and I absolutely LOVED collaborating with them. We are creative people ourselves, so it was like the wedding flowers were a fun project we all worked on together. I’m sure if you don’t want to be that involved, Katie & Michael will totally handle it and you will be happy, but working with them was easily our favorite and most fun part of the wedding planning process, and I think it was visible in the flowers. Katie & Michael of Dark + Diamond Floral are incredibly talented floral designers and artists and a complete joy to work with. They did the flowers for my daughters wedding at the beautiful Roundhouse in Beacon Falls in May 2015 and were amazing to work with and created the most magnificent floral creations. We loved collaborating with them and they came up with great proposals and we really trusted their vision. Because of their artistry, the arrangements and bouquets were above and beyond with a keen eye to color, texture and the use of unique vessels and décor materials. Planning the flowers was absolutely our favorite part of wedding planning and Katie & Michael made it even better. Beyond the wedding, they also did the flowers for my daughters bridal shower in a beautiful palette of peach and soft green and really nailed it. Katie also decorated the wedding cake with a cascade of fresh flowers down the tiers and provided several beautiful flower crowns for the flower girls which was a real treat considering Katie's other passion as a milliner. Katie Burley Patton came highly recommended for floral design. She handled all of the flowers for my wedding (table settings and my bouquet). I don't know much about flowers so during our first consultation she asked me a lot of great questions about my wedding vision and then showed me a variety of pictures of flowers to gauge my taste. As an entrepreneur, she's aware of cost issues and made sure to keep my budget in mind. Based on our meeting and input from others that had worked with her, I fully trusted her and my instinct was right on! I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions I made to work with Katie. It was the least stressful (actually, no stress) part of planning my wedding. She's a true artist and a pleasure to work with!

Sarah at Engaging Floral Design is an amazing designer and a pleasure to work with. Our vision for the wedding decor was rustic and romantic. Our wedding was at the Overlook Lodge at Bear Mountain, it is literally nestled in the mountains under a canopy of trees, and took place just as the leaves started changing color in late September. I really wanted to capture the hints of orange, red, plum leaves yet keep the centerpieces as natural as possible with lots of green, in order to bring the beauty of the surrounding views inside - Sarah did just that. She truly understood the look we were going for, and our budget. Sarah worked with me on the flower selection to keep the cost reasonable, and with my decision to purchase as opposed to rent the pieces we used so all of the guests were able to bring home a little something from the centerpieces. She combined our cross-cut tree slices, birch-bark candles, burlap runners and lanterns with an assortment of flower and succulent arrangements in various sizes to create a tablescape that truly reflected our theme and gave the entire venue the look of a romantic autumn escape in the mountains. The personal flowers, centerpiece arrangements and ceremony flowers all worked together so well, we received tons of compliments. The pictures are truly amazing, I could not have been happier. If I could give higher than 5 stars I would!

I came to her with a pretty loose description of what I envisioned for the reception and ceremony space and what I wanted for my bouquet and the flowers for the bridal party. When I walked into my wedding I was blown away with how perfect the space looked. Sarah met and surpassed my vision for all floral aspects of my wedding. Sarah Lusardi of Engaging Floral Designs is an absolute dream to work with!! We initially contacted a few floral designers for our Hudson Valley wedding but after speaking with Sarah and seeing her work we immediately booked Engaging Floral Designs for our big day. Sarah has a great eye for beautiful arrangements and was instrumental in translating the vision we described for our rustic, fall wedding into a reality. She is clearly an expert in this field and was able to suggest some great, personal touches from the ceremony all the way through to the reception (we were able to see a sample arrangement she made for us as well which required no changes at all!). The bridesmaids bouquets and the groomsmen boutonnieres were gorgeous and held up well through eight hours of pictures, ceremony and reception activities. Sarah created aisle arrangements for the ceremony that were beautifully displayed in mason jars which just added to the rustic feel of the wedding along with stunning table arrangements in rustic boxes of varying size, all of which she set-up beforehand and then came and picked up anything that remained after the reception!! She was very reliable and truly achieved the exact ambiance we were looking for. If you are looking for a floral designer for your wedding, it would be an absolute mistake not to contact Sarah - we could not have been happier with the outcome!! Absolutely perfect all around.

Sarah was great!! So prompt in her email replies (which to me is very important for a vendor), and super organized. I knew exactly what I was getting. She took time to meet with my mom and I, and answered tons of questions we had both in person and via email. Send me pictures of other arrangements similar to mine so I knew what to expect, and even met me at the venue one week prior to go over everything again. The flowers were one of the absolute highlights of the wedding. They were breathtaking!! Sarah is extremely professional, punctual, organized, thoughtful, and flexible. She is very knowledgeable! We hired Sarah Lusardi to do the flowers for our Bronx Zoo wedding a few weeks back, and I literally could not have asked for more in a floriest or vendor. Sarah is a consummate professional and remained remarkably patient over the year-long course of my wedding planning. She never once made me feel like a nutty bride or that my questions were frivolous. We reviewed a ton of pictures together in the planning process to ensure that Sarah had a good idea of what I liked and what I disliked. She paid VERY close attention to detail and the end result was simply magical. Sarah has impeccable and sophisticated taste and pays very close attention to detail. When I caught a first glimpse of my chuppah, my breath was taken away. The bride/bridesmaid bouquets were elegant, classy and lucious and the flowers couldn't have been fresher. Everything showed up when and where it was supposed to! We received numerous compliments on the flowers over the course of the evening and I had 2 guests email me for Sarah's contact info in the weeks following the wedding. I would hire Sarah again in a heartbeat and can say without reservation that I couldn't imagine anyone, anywhere, doing a better job than Sarah and her team.

Saying our wedding flowers were all we hoped for and more is an understatement. Sarah absolutely hit it out of the park with all of the flowers - every one of the details was so much better than we even imagined. The flowers lining the pergola, the aisle arrangements, the petals in the aisle, the centerpieces, the bouquets, the corsages, the ceremony arrangements, the orchids on the manzanita branches, the peony for the cake... all were so absolutely perfect. I think our many emails to her were probably as clear as mud, and she still managed to somehow read our minds and deliver exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Sarah of Engaging Floral Designs was an absolutely wonderful florist! After meeting with her on a chilly spring day to discuss my vision for the flowers and the wedding overall, we could tell by her knowledge, attention to detail and beautiful work that she was the florist for us! She is very good at what she does and made suggestions as to what flowers would accompany each other well based on what types I had my heart set on and what our color scheme was. The final products were absolutely beautiful and we couldn't have been happier! We also ran in to a unique and unfortunate situation - our wedding was scheduled for August 28, 2011, and when Hurricane Irene threatened the east coast with dangerous weather, we were forced to postpone to October. Sarah was very flexible, helpful, understanding and reassuring in our stressful time of rescheduling and was able to work with us on our new date as well as provide us with all of the original flowers we had discussed originally, rather than having to rework our entire scheme for fall (which we still cannot thank her enough for!) Even when we ran in to potential timing hiccups on the day of the wedding, she was extremely accommodating in making sure we had our arrangements as quickly as possible for photos. Guests still rave about how beautiful the arrangements and our chuppah was, and I dried and preserved as much of my bouquet as I could! She was extremely professional but also incredibly nice - an absolute joy to work with! If you're looking for beautiful and unique work done by one of the sweetest people in the industry, I highly recommend working with Sarah!

Let me begin this review by admitting I’m completely clueless and relatively unimpressed with flowers. But when planning my wedding I knew I definitely “needed” (and wanted) the obligatory bouquets and centerpieces. And as a total perfectionist who planned most every single detail of my wedding myself, I knew I needed to find the right florist- another perfectionist whose professionalism and pride in their work would ensure I had beautiful floral arrangements, even without specific instructions and expectations outlined in detail. I also knew I needed someone who could respond quickly and thoroughly to all inquiries. Sarah fit the bill! I gave Sarah some pretty general ideas and style preferences with a relatively strict budget. She was very respectful of my budget and completely understood the style and look I was aiming for. I was not disappointed in the slightest on our wedding day! All of our bouquets looked so fresh and beautiful- the pictures are really stunning. The ceremony space (outside in the fall) looked lovely and for a very reasonable price. And our centerpieces were beautiful- exactly what I had in mind. I received so many compliments on those and a girlfriend who took one home told me her home smelled wonderful for a week! I really could not have been happier with Sarah’s services and am so grateful we entrusted her with our wedding floral arrangements!

Dark & Diamond literally brought our wedding to life! After a big let down of having to move our ceremony inside (because of chilly weather / potential rain) I was reassured by Katie that everything would be okay. And she was right! Our flowers were beyond anything I could have ever imagined. The 'wow' factor that it added to the venue and wedding day was bar none. The arrangements were so unique and Katie really incorportated my visions(many) and flower-type requests into something that made sense. My crazy imagination and color palette could have produced a childish/casual feeling but she really made it look chic, sophisticated, and modern. In addition, they didn't just set up my flowers and leave, they worked all day setting up my flowers and were even mindful of the heat and making sure the flowers were not wilted from the 95 degree sun. One of the best vendor descions we made was Dark and Diamond and I would recommend them to anyone without reservation. You are truly getting a unique and top quality florist with Dark and Diamond.

Katie and Michael created the most beautiful floral experience, beyond anything I could have dreamed. I gave them a color scheme and described the mood as a dark fairytale and they ran with it. My bouquet was stunning, I had them create a flower crown for myself which was the perfect balance of delicate and dramatic, our tables and arch were perfection, and the hanging flower backdrop they created for our photo area was by far my favorite thing at my wedding (and immediately made into my phone background).They are incredibly talented and I would not hesitate to recommend them.
