I’ve known Danny for over a decade, across multiple shoots and life stages, and he’s become my go-to photographer. Our relationship started professionally, and over time that consistency turned into a friendship. From personal and professional events to portraits and headshots, his versatility and understanding of emotion, angles, and lighting make his photos some of the best I’ve ever seen.
One of Danny’s biggest strengths is how he integrates his own personality into a shoot. And believe it or not, your photographer’s personality does matter, even when behind the lens. That comfort translates into incredibly candid, joyful photos, with genuine laughter and moments you simply can’t stage. On the individual level, he’s equally strong. While everyone has less-than-flattering angles, Danny’s experience ensures he consistently produces and publishes images that truly complement each subject.
To get specific, Danny will tell you things like, “Turn your head down, but look at me,” or “Put your left hand in your pocket, but leave your thumb out,” or “Cross your arms and adjust your sleeve while blinking slowly.” These directions, although awkward in the moment, serve a clear purpose; you don’t need to know how to pose before seeing Danny. He takes care of that part for you. All it takes is trusting his artistic eye and decades of experience to watch your investment quickly pay off.

Recommendation for Danny Nguyen Photographer: flexible, punctual and most important:great pictures
Danny has been our photographers 3 years in a row for our holiday pictures. My kids are 12, 8 and 6. He is great at coaxing them into great pictures. I use the pictures for our holiday cards and have gotten a ton of compliments. Danny is very flexible. He is punctual and I have been amazed at how quickly he got the photos back to me! He has been consistently great to work with several years in a row ! -

As anyone would say, wedding planning is stressful. One of the most stressful parts for me was finding the right vendors. Finding the right photographer and videographer were one of my top concerns. I felt that Danny and his team were able to put my anxiety at ease! The took the time and care and listened to every detail I had mentioned to them. I had given them photos of the brides and groom families and close friends prior to wedding week. Not only did they remember everyone and captured the most amazing memories for us but they were very kind and sweet to everyone. They treated us like family. Many of our family and friends kept coming up to me complimenting Danny and his team. Only a few short months later, we received all our wedding photos and I cannot be more thankful. We received more photos than we expected. Danny captured the most precious moments at every event that will cherish for a lifetime! I recommend Danny and his team for any event you are planning! As a volunteer coordinator for The Holiday Project in Houston, I would like to share appreciation for Danny Nguyen for his passion for residents and rehabilitation patients in skilled nursing facilities. Danny has contributed to bringing smiles, laughter and holiday joy to many nursing home residents for over 10 years! His awesome photographs have helped make our communities more aware of the need to visit residents in nursing homes on holidays so they don’t feel forgotten. Our Holiday Project’s motto is “You’re the Gift” and Danny and his heartwarming photographs show how the volunteers are the gift to the residents and the residents are the gift to the volunteers!
The saying “A picture is worth a thousand words” is definitely true of Danny’s photography. Through his talent and his caring, compassionate heart he has an incredible way of catching sincere heartwarming emotions in his photographs.
I first met Danny over 10 years ago when he joined The Holiday Project’s Christmas Day visit to a nursing home. He arrived with fun Santa hats and candy and brightened up the visit for the nursing home residents and other volunteers that were visiting and singing Christmas Carols. At the time he was also taking pictures of all the happy faces! His touching photos are shared on social media and through Volunteer Houston to encourage others to volunteer with The Holiday Project on or near holidays!

Danny and his team have truly changed our event marketing experience as a result of the talent and direction they bring to our events they photograph. Not only this but Danny has enabled hundreds of our participants to enshrine lasting memories of their experience with us through his photography. Danny photographed my wedding, and he did a PHENOMENAL job. After doing thorough research, my now-husband and I chose Danny because of his natural talent, attention to detail, and his abilities to make photos look grand and beautiful naturally. Danny has had extensive training and can capture your best poses and candid moments in a beautiful way. Our photos turned out AMAZINGLY. We can't get over it. Danny is so much fun and really immersed himself in the Indian culture which was so much fun for everyone at the wedding since he's learned some words in the Indian language. Danny is very kind and caring...he made us feel very comfortable, made us laugh and worked with us to make our day feel special. There were also some changes in the schedule, but Danny was happy to go with the flow. Danny is very passionate about his work which is evident in his photos, his demeanor, professionalism, excitement to photograph and include everyone, and the time and effort he takes to make sure the photo composition is to perfection. Danny also worked within our budget AND for the amazing quality, he somehow managed to get our pictures back to us very quickly. We love Danny and will definitely hire him again in the future. -

Danny @DannyNguyenPhotography absolutely exceeded our expectations. I received so many compliments about how gorgeous the pictures he took turned out. I am not photogenic by any means, but somehow Danny worked his magic and I looked great! Danny was very accommodating and provided many resources and suggestions to make sure we found the perfect place for out shoot. He is very knowledgeable and goes out of his way to make things perfect. He was also quick to provide feedback and pictures either that same day or the next if at all possible. It was so easy to access the photos and order prints. Danny was really a pleasure to work and made everything so easy. I will definitely be using him again in the future for all of our photography needs. -

As any other customer, I contacted many photographers for my sister’s bridal shower event that I was hosting. Danny was the one that was the easiest to talk to, very practical, great pricing, very friendly, and made me feel comfortable to work with which is always my top priority. He does his job with LOVE AND PASSION!! He came to my event before time. He had another photographer with him to cover everything which I didn’t even expect!! He covered EVERY single aspect of my event. Did not miss a one detail! We did portraits as well as the whole event and my event ran 2-3 hours longer than what it was supposed to be and he stayed! He was super super accommodating. He stayed the entire period and telling me “it’s my day to enjoy and get memories”. All my guests loved him! He was putting us in groups and taking photos of us. He took individual photos of people
Also, did I mention that you usually get your photos super quick within a day or two. He will give you all the photos and you can select few to make an album to share with your guests as well. Everything is super convenient with him. I’ve already had him for 2 events and now, he’s my go to photographer! Would highly recommend Danny to anyone! He would do his job with all smiles, good vibes, and much love!

My fiancé and I booked Danny for our engagement shoot. The afternoon ended up rainy and cold, but Danny offered several alternative venues to the outdoor one we'd initially picked. His creativity, flexibility, and vision really shined throughout our shoot. He listened actively to our ideas and incorporated them into what he was visualizing, and our photos turned out amazing. They are striking, beautiful, and capture the excitement and love my fiancé have for each other as we get closer to our wedding. I would highly recommend Danny to any couple in the Houston area! -

We used Danny for our wedding in Austin, Texas last year. Multiple family members and friends had used him before and had nothing but amazing things to say about him.
Prior to our wedding, he drove up to Austin to do our engagement photos. He already had perfect spots picked out and made the session run super smoothly. He has a great attention to detail and the pictures turned out amazing.
When it came time to our large Indian wedding, he was super attentive and very professional. He captured every moment. He also works the dance floor really well and got everyone from toddlers to grandparents out there dancing. He even had access to drones to get some pretty cool shots of our venue. Our guests were non-stop complementing us on how great he was.
While some people can take a while to deliver the end product of videos and albums, Danny was very quick. We had our end products within a month of the event. He even hand delivered us the beautiful albums.
Not only is Danny an amazing photographer and a good friend, he is like family! I’ve already booked him for our holiday family photo this year and will continue to book him for future events!

Danny is the best photographer. Worked really well with our indian traditions for our wedding and reception. Worked really well with our family and friends. Made sure he got every moment just right. He also had a lot pictures edited with in a couple days after our reception. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer for any event. -

Five stars!!!
Danny was awesome!!! He is a true professional and a master of his craft!! Danny is great with large groups, families, children, couples, and individuals. He is super responsive, prompt, friendly, and very accommodating. I first became familiar with his work through Houston Roller Derby. He later shot my professional headshot for work, and then I hired him to photograph my family (8 finicky adults and 3 wiggly toddlers) for Xmas. The sessions were fun and relaxing, which was great considering that I tend to be very tense and awkward around cameras!! My husband and I both highly recommend Danny, whether it's for a headshot, a wedding/couples session or a family portrait. He's the best!!! -

I have had the pleasure of having him shoot my bridal portraits, my wedding day and most recently, my family Christmas photos! The day after my wedding, at least ten people commented on Danny's "performance" as a photographer! Everyone knew his name and would say things like, "Wow! That Danny was incredible!" I am not exaggerating about this because I remember thinking how neat it was that Danny was so involved in photo taking throughout the night that my wedding guests actually got to know his name and admire his work! Since then I have recommended him to anyone looking for a photographer.
He is unlike any other photographer I have met because of his versatility and his ability to make the shoot natural yet, purposeful. His people skills are remarkable. He reads his clients and truly gets to know them so that within minutes of beginning a shoot he knows how to direct/adapt the shoot based upon the client's style and interest. If you don't have many ideas for an upcoming photo shoot, you can talk it through and visualize with Danny beforehand. He knows a plethora of locations all over the Houston area that are suitable for a variety of shoots. Leading up to my Christmas photos, I would text him ideas and he would help me decide what props/outfits might work best as I prepared for the day of pictures!
He made me feel like a supermodel on the day of my bridal shoots! We laughed, danced, and had the best time! I have encountered photographers that get agitated or make me feel rushed or as if time is up. Danny will make you feel like you are the only client/event on his schedule even when you're not. He makes each person he works with a true priority because he loves what he does!
I am so excited to continue to use Danny for my photo needs for many years to come! Thank you Danny for so many incredible memories! -

Not your ordinary cookie cutter family photo and he gave us so much more, he gave us the most phenomenal and fun photo shoot. He did a phenomenal job with girls on skates, so I knew he'd be a wonderful family photographer [hello, wiggly toddler!]. The photos were originally supposed to be of just our one year old, maybe a couple with us for the holidays, but Danny was awesome and got plenty of us with Lila, a few of just Daniel and I, and loads of Lila. He captured her many little faces, and each and every shot was beautiful. Thanks so much, Danny!!
