Danielle is the best!

Danielle was so flexible and understanding with us when our large june 2020 full day wedding changed due to covid to a smaller, shorter, and intimate wedding ceremony.

Honestly, a positive that came from this is we had so much more time for couple shots and Danielle is so fabulous and talented that we now have so many beautiful pictures to look back on! It was really hard to pick favorites - there were so many options.

Danielle is laid back and makes you feel at ease. She's also so good about just rolling with the flow and will be brave and willing to get wet in lake michigan to capture the perfect picture for your engagement session.

I cannot recommend Danielle enough!!

We used Danielle as our wedding photographer and we're so glad we did. Danielle met with us over a year in advance of our wedding and answered all of our questions during the booking process. She was professional and responsive leading up to the wedding. And on our wedding day, she was prompt and organized, and made everyone feel comfortable and at ease. She was able to capture our entire shot list, the little details around our venue, and a ton of action shots that express the magic of the evening (dances, speeches, guests tearing up the dance floor). And she worked with us to make sure the formal/posed pictures were minimally disruptive to our day (e.g., so that we could enjoy cocktail hour with our guests). The pictures are absolutely beautiful - she worked so well with the lighting at Salvage One. I love that we received both a digital gallery of all of our photos (without watermark) that we can share with friends for downloading/printing, as well as a usb drive with all of the picture files. We've received so many compliments on our pictures, and we just received our photobook in the mail yesterday and it's going to be such an amazing keepsake for years to come. For 6.5 hours of shooting and the number of photos we received (and the photobook), we also felt the pricing was very reasonable especially given the quality and professionalism. Thanks, Danielle!

Danielle was great to work with! We live out of town and she was very accommodating to our traveling schedule. She had the exact type of style we were looking for to capture our wedding. She paid great attention to detail and captured all of our special moments. The photo book we received after our wedding was great quality. Book Danielle ASAP if you want the perfect wedding photos.

Danielle was simply the best wedding photographer we could have ever asked for. She is incredibly professional and prompt in her communication. Most importantly, though, she is an incredible photographer. Our wedding photographs are absolutely gorgeous. When we first started searching for wedding photographers, Danielle's artistic style and use of light, really made her stand out from others. The photos you see on her site and Instagram are truly representative of the magic she will work for your wedding day. She captured all of the special moments we wanted beautifully. Danielle was an absolute pleasure to work with! Going into our engagement session, my fiancé and I did not know what to expect. The second we got there Danielle made us feel extremely comfortable. She took the candid pictures we were looking for and we could not be happier with the final product. I highly recommend Danielle to anybody that is looking for a photographer that will capture the true, natural beauty of a relationship. She deserves way more than 5 stars!

Our experience with Danielle was amazing! She was very flexible on date and timing (she even made rescheduling easy when we had a last-minute weather cancellation), and very responsive. Danielle has a creative and adventurous photography style, and she helped us pick some perfect spots for our Chicago shoot. We had a great time working with Danielle, she made the photoshoot comfortable and fun!

Danielle was absolutely amazing. The photo quality and creativity in shots is top notch. She also provides your photos extremely quick! I have heard really bad stories of some photographers taking forever to deliver the final photos, but Danielle got them to me in under a month. She is a lovely person to work with and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

She's super helpful and easy going, so don't worry about adding extra stress on top of huge pile of stuff you have to do on your wedding day. Give her some direction on the type of photos you want and she'll deliver with exceeding results. I really appreciated the extra little touches she added throughout the entire process to not make it feel like a huge chore.

Danielle was amazing! Our photos came or beautiful. We have recommended her to other friends who are getting married! I would recommend her to anyone who loves the nontraditional photos that capture the moment. I didn't even need a videographer. Danielle captured the entire night perfectly!

Choosing Danielle Heinson Photography was the best decision we made for our wedding! From our initial phone call to receiving our final wedding photos we were truly impressed with Danielle’s professionalism and quality of work. Danielle shoot both our engagement session and wedding. I personally am not used to taking photos, but Danielle created a fun and relaxing atmosphere. My husband and I could not be more pleased with how beautiful our photos turned out! Danielle was one of the best investments I made for my wedding. From the very first e-mail for a consultation she was always very professional and easy to work with. Personality wise, she is very down-to-earth and friendly with a caring heart for all. Her style is very romantic and beautiful and was exactly what I wanted. On my wedding day she was quick to get going on all the details I left out for her to photograph; by the time me and my girls were needing photos of prep she was ready. During my 1st look with my husband, it started to rain. Danielle didn't run inside, but instead stood under an umbrella while we stood under our own (note that this is with her expensive equipment) so we could get some beautiful candid shots in the rain. I was over the moon with joy to see how much effort she put in to make sure I got my once in a lifetime photographs I've always dreamed of. During the ceremony and reception she was in stealth mode-
out getting all the photos we needed but was never in the way. When she needed a certain shot she would give great direction. She is a great photographer all around. She was quick to give me previews and I'm so lucky to have had her shoot my wedding.

We loved working with Danielle! We booked her for our engagement pictures about 8 months ago and knew immediately that she was the girl we would trust for the wedding. She truly has a knack for capturing moments in the most unique way -- she was definitely a calming presence at the wedding, as well! Some of my wedding guests described her as a "wedding ninja", never distracting or in the way, but still able to get the most amazing shots. During our engagement shots, we felt totally comfortable being our silly selves with her and I loved having those moments captured on camera. We've seen a few previews from the wedding and can't wait to see the full album -- I know they'll be fantastic. Would absolutely recommend Danielle to anyone looking for a photographer in the Chicagoland area. Loved her!

Working with Danielle to photograph our wedding was an amazing experience! The process was very thorough and was designed to create lasting memories exactly how we imagined them. First Danielle sent over a questionnaire to get an idea of where the wedding was going to take place and when we wanted pictures taken. Next she set up an hour long call with both the bride and myself to go over the timing and details of the day. Danielle showed up promptly on time the day of the wedding. She captured us and the family getting ready for the ceremony and then took the "first look" pictures outside on the beach. These photos are truly breathtaking and speak to her extremely high skill with a camera. After the ceremony Danielle set up group shots with all of the family and was very patient while we took different sides and had to deal with hungry children :). The bride and I then walked from the courthouse to the reception and had Danielle take photos of us walking in the city. She used her creativity to take some really amazing photos over the Chicago river. Overall I cannot recommend Danielle enough!

Danielle was awesome. I am a photographer myself, so I was a bit particular and worried about someone else taking my photos but I was pleasantly surprised. There was so much variety in her film, she captured our marriage so well. I get compliments all the time on how great the photos were. They were a little pricey but I understand given that I'm a photographer and I know how much time she spent editing, and going through hundreds of photos. It was worth every penny and I'd totally book her again.

Danielle was so great to work with. She was super prepared with a doc months before the ceremony that we could fill out to fill out at our leisure. We loved working with Danielle! She was friendly, responsive, and very accommodating throughout the entire process (including the session itself). We felt really awkward posing in front of a camera but she coached us through it and gave us suggestions throughout. I also love that she didn't charge by the hour! Even though we didn't take much longer than 1 hour anyways, that flexibility felt nice and made us feel like she was dedicated to giving us the best service no matter how long it took!

Danielle is an amazing photographer . She capturered all the moments I had wanted and then some candid photos which we just loved . She blends into the crowd so you don't even notice a photographer but she is also is so approachable that if I wanted to make changes she was willing to really go with the flow .We searched all of the big name wedding companies but her personality , excitement and dedication to our day really stood out . Danielle was AMAZING!!! It was our first time doing a photo shoot of this sort and we were very nervous. Danielle was warm yet direct, you can really tell she has an eye for great pictures. Her turnaround times for finished pictures were SUPER fast. We received sneak peeks less than a few days after the shoot. I would highly recommend her to everyone!! We are already thinking up ideas for our anniversary pictures with her! :-)

I strongly recommend Danielle! For my wedding she was available on short notice, took absolutely stunning photos of my wedding, had great ideas during the shoot, and delivered the final package before my husband and I even returned from our honeymoon. Danielle is simply INCREDIBLE. I cannot describe how satisfied we were with her absolutely beautiful work. She is an absurdly talented artist, and you would be completely blessed to work with her for your wedding photography! She has an uncanny ability to capture the tenderness and authenticity of a relationship in such a stunning way. I've always been a perfectionist, and I often think photography can't fully do justice for some memories -- but Danielle is able to capture memories in a perfectly nuanced, sweet, vibrant way, and it is truly amazing to see the work she produces. Work with Danielle!! Everyone will be jealous of your wedding/engagement photography, trust me.

Danielle was the best photographer we could have asked for. We flew her out to California for our wedding, and so glad we did. From the first meeting she was very professional. She had a questionnaire full of questions to get to know more about us, our likes, our dislikes, and the venue. She is a great communicator and quick to respond throughout the wedding planning. On the day of, she was early and very accommodating to our schedule. During the ceremony, she blended right and we didn't notice her walking around taking amazing pictures. We did not really have a list of shots we wanted with Danielle, but she was very helpful in suggesting poses and organizing everyone for pictures. Danielle was very talented, personable, and sweet.

Danielle was extremely accommodating, watching the weather with us to make sure we got the best pictures. She was fun to be with and made us extremely comfortable to be ourselves during the session. She laughed along with us, gave us great tips, and became like a friend to us. If you are ever worried about overly cheesy or awkward photos, Danielle is your girl! She listened and correctly read our personality and came up with great ideas. Would do it again any time!

Danielle did an amazing job shooting our engagement pictures in Logan Square. We were looking for a mix of urban and natural scenery . She suggested some great spots to shoot and was able to give us just enough direction when we needed it. We also loved that the shots were so natural and captured us in action having fun at the spots we would normally hang out at in our neighborhood. An overall wonderful experience working with her.

Danielle was very helpful with suggestions on locations for my wedding photos around the city. She was professional and friendly throughout setting up the shoot, to completion, flexible on the day and very timely in handing back our wedding photos. They were beautiful!! Danielle did an incredible job capturing my wedding! She was so sweet and really has a natural talent for capturing beautiful moments. Danielle was always super easy to get ahold of and her questionare made it so much easier to break down what shots I really wanted. I can't even choose my favorite pictures because I love them all and I am so grateful to have such beautiful reminders of our special day!

Danielle does an amazing job and is able to accommodate to settings she is not familiar with like our Nigerian wedding, which was her first. I recommend filling out the questionnaire she gives ahead of time in detail because it really helped her to capture our vision for the day.
