Daniel Vaughn is absolutely a joy to work with for wedding flowers. Daniel provided flowers for our daughter's wedding in September in State College, PA. Daniel was so easy to work with from the onset - it felt like we were working with a friend and not a vendor. He was professional, courteous, respectful of the bride and groom's wishes. And he was able to take our ideas and transform them into a beautiful ceremony and reception. We did not stress over any detail because Daniel made us feel at ease. The bridal flowers were gorgeous and perfectly captured the wedding vibe, vintage and romantic. Daniel made the ceremony arbor so special by incorporating a wooden cross that the bride's grandfather made many years ago. What a special and beautiful day - Highly recommend Daniel. -

I cannot get over how beautiful the flowers were for my wedding weekend, and it’s all thanks to Daniel Vaughn Designs. Daniel is an artist — all you have to do is tell him what colors you like and him and his team make the magic happen even more beautiful than you’d expect! My mom and I hired Daniel to provide flowers for my wedding ceremony and then my mother-in-law hired Daniel to provide flowers for our Rehearsal Dinner. Each time, Daniel was a joy to work with. He’s very friendly and cares about your wedding vision. He took time to meet with us in person to craft up a budget that worked for us, which was amazing, and had conference calls with my mom, my mother-in-law and I to make sure we were using different flowers for each evening. Our Rehearsal Dinner and wedding each looked so unique and beautiful. Daniel was also so kind and created a little wreath for our dog, Bailey, who was in our wedding! It's now a keepsake in our home for her and we love it! We can’t thank Daniel Vaughn Designs enough. If you’re looking for a florist for your State College-area wedding, definitely hire Daniel Vaughn Designs! Thank you, Daniel and team, for everything! -

I came here to write a very different review. I was going to tell you how I was not someone who had my whole wedding planned out before I found my husband, but I did know who I wanted as a florist. Daniel met with me to talk about my vision for my wedding and he quickly understood my style and what I was going for. He talked me through different parts of the day and even saved me some money on some things. I had some unique requests and he worked with me to figure it out and make it happen. He, Michael and his staff were so helpful and kind and went above and beyond. I had hoped to have peonies for my bouquet in August - I knew that was a big ask and it might not happen (which was fine) and they found the loveliest pink peonies! All of our flowers were stunning and the other portions of our decor that they were in charge of were done to perfection. Our wedding was at the Arboretum and the florals could have been lost amongst the gardens but they weren't - they were perfect. He also ensured that our reception was beautiful - beyond what I could ever dream of.
That's the review that I came here to write. But 10 days after my wedding my father unexpectedly passed away and Daniel Vaughn Designs sent a gorgeous bouquet to my home upon hearing of his passing. I was already a happy customer, but I truly felt as though as I was treated like a friend. Daniel Vaughn Designs is just special and by far my favorite florist. -

Daniel was just wonderful to work with - he is so personable and knowledgeable. The designs he created for our wedding were even more gorgeous than the inspiration we showed him. He coordinated delivery and set up (at two different locations) making the day very easy and stress free. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning a wedding!!! -

Wonderful Florist
We had the pleasure of working with Daniel of Daniel Vaughn designs for our wedding in November, 2022. From the very beginning of the process Daniel was exceedingly accommodating and professional and even arranged to meet with us near our home in Pittsburgh, despite being a couple hours away from our actual venue in Bedford, PA and his storefront in State College, PA. He has amazing insight, vision and taste and helped us cultivate the most beautiful look and feel for our wedding day. His expertise was much appreciated and he guided us when we needed inspiration and also accommodated our last minute changes with grace. He had amazing ideas and clearly still finds joy in helping couples achieve their wedding day vision. He helped make our wedding day so special and beautiful and we would recommend his services to any couple looking for an exceptional flourish for their wedding day! -

Daniel created my vision
I was referred to Daniel by my venue (Omni Bedford Springs) and decided to book him after our first conversation. I am blown away by Daniel’s talent! Truthfully I have never actually met Daniel in person since I live quite far from my venue. He was able to create my vision by sending him inspiration pictures and a few phone conversations. Daniel coordinated with my rental company to include foliage on the lounge areas and even matched the flowers for my cake to the exact picture I sent him. He included foliage everywhere - cocktail tables, cookie tables, lounge area, guestbook table & even the stairwell leading up to our ballroom!! I had to provide basically no direction & somehow he was able to understand exactly what I wanted. I HIGHLY recommend Daniel Vaughn Designs for your wedding! -

I am still in awe at how beautiful our flowers were. I wanted a very specific combination with bright colors and no roses. I sent some images for examples and Dan made them exactly how I thought. They were the talk of the wedding and some guests even took a few home. So gorgeous - absolutely worth it! -

I got married July 27, 2019 in State College and chose Daniel Vaughn Designs as my florist. Dan, his wife Cindy, and his team are seriously the best!!! I had so much fun working with Dan, from the day of the first consultation to the day of the wedding. He is a wonderful person and is truly talented! He knew exactly what I envisioned and my florals were BEAUTIFUL. He exceeded my expectations, which I never doubted he wouldn’t. I would highly recommend Daniel Vaughn Designs and I thank them so incredibly much for their work. -

Daniel was an absolute a pleasure to work with. He made the vision I had in my mind an absolute stunning reality. Coral charm peonies, beautiful centerpieces with floating votives, and so much more! So many people at our wedding came up to my family and I and commented on how beautiful the flowers where.
If you are getting married near State College, you cannot go with another florist. Daniel is the absolute best!!! -

Daniel worked closely with my husband and I (and let's be honest, my mom), to bring our vision of a cosmic wedding to a reality. We wanted a celestial-themed wedding, but our reception venue was very formal and elegant, so we had to have the perfect fusion of classy flowers, yet whimsical. Daniel brought our vision to life in the most fantastic way. I also did not want my bouquets to match the venue, but to mimic the natural setting where we were married. I got SO many compliments on our unique bouquets and Kyle and his guys really enjoyed the magnetic boutonnieres Daniel designed. Also, Daniel worked well to accommodate my budget. He was very receptive to all of our questions and thoughts. I was so impressed by his versatility. He is able to execute anything you need, from traditional to boho, and he is so much fun to work with! -

Dan produced some lovely flowers for our wedding ceremony. We gave him rough guidelines for what we wanted, and he gave us a couple price points to chose from. He came up with a unique solution to get my MIL’s favorite flowers for a pinned corsage. He is also one of the few (if only!) places in town that will do thistles on boutonnieres. We ended up picking up the flowers the night before and putting them up ourselves at our ceremony site (an hour away from the shot) the day of. The flowers survived the trip and the night just fine. He was very responsive to emails and he and his wife were very easy to work with. -

I knew that he would take care of everything the day of the event and it would be one less thing on my mind. However, Daniel completely exceeded every expectation. The flowers were picked to perfection, every arrangement was placed perfectly and every detail was thoughtfully complete. From adding ribbons to my decor to filling in empty spaces. Daniel was such a pleasure to work with and it meant a lot to me that he valued my ideas and taste. I certainly value his. Our guests are still raving about the flowers! Laura Sent on 11/29/2017Our flowers were stunning, modern, and just the feel I was going for! From the initial consultation, I could tell Daniel was a perfect fit! He factors in the style of your gown to determine a good size bouquet, how your flowers will photograph, what flowers will actually be full and gorgeous when placing an order, etc. I originally was leaning toward a deep burgundy bouquet, but I am glad we discussed doing a deep velvety red palette instead, with accents of black and burgundy. They still read deep and moody but also had a lot of impact on camera.

Rachel Sent on 11/03/2011Daniel is divine!!! The flowers at my wedding were breathtaking. I was overjoyed when I walked into my own reception and saw the flowers and table decorations. Each table was bursting with fresh, perfect flower arrangements and gorgeous candle light. AMAZING!! My bouquet was white, pristine roses perfectly ripe wrapped with satin and Swarovski crystals. My bridesmaids carried equally beautiful bouquets of pink lady roses. Everything from the mantle near the flower topped cake to the petals in the bathrooms were perfect. Daniel is an artist and amazingly kind and accommodating. I would recommend him 10 times over. Thank you Daniel for making my wedding so PERFECT! -Rachel -

I worked with Daniel at Daniel Vaughn Designs recently for my wedding and the flowers were absolutely stunning! I came into the planning meeting with some color palettes, and Pinterest pictures of ideas of what I was thinking for my wedding and Daniel did a great job of listening to me and tailoring everything to work well in my venue and within my budget. He really brought my vision to life and I highly recommend them! -
