Best Wedding Photographer
Not only are his photos gorgeous but he brings great energy! We already loved his work before getting to shoot with him so we were already open to trusting him. We had a great shoot with him before our wedding. I think he really made my husband feel comfortable in front of the camera. For part of the session we had the little one with us and Daniel was great with her. It made us more excited to have Daniel documenting our wedding. Our bridal party and guest kept telling us how he has great energy and that they really liked him too. We would absolutely recommend him to everyone. -

Throughout our entire wedding planning process we were always most excited about Daniel + Ashley as vendors. From our first conversation with Daniel we saw his heart. He doesn't look at weddings as a thing he does every weekend, but more like how the groom and bride see them -- a once in a lifetime event. When the weekend came around, Ashley and Daniel were not only there for what they'd signed up for but 10x more than that. They didn't just take pictures of the wedding party, they FELT like a part of the wedding party. They didn't just take pictures of the dance floor, they WERE THE MOST PUMPED on the dance floor. We had so many guests tell us before they ever saw the photos that Daniel and Ashley were the best photographers they'd ever seen at a wedding. Then the photos came and we were in more awe than ever. They created an experience around how they shared the photos with us. They shared them with us and allowed us time to distribute them before posting them anywhere. They captured all the emotion of the day and made the day better. You couldn't hire a better team. -

Best. Photographer. EVER!!!!
There is no one like Daniel Kim. Not only is Daniel so incredibly talented, he is also one of the kindest/coolest people that I have ever met! I have been a huge fan of Daniel's for years and I knew even before I got engaged that Daniel was a must for my wedding. His approach to shooting weddings and the way he captures the day so effortlessly completely spoke to me. When my husband and I got our wedding photos back, we were speechless. Each image completely encapsulated every moment so perfectly. In every single picture I can tell you what was going on and how I felt in that moment which is such a gift. Daniel Kim is simply the best and I will never be able to properly thank him for what he has given to me and my entire family with these works of art!!! -

My wife and I are both wedding photographers. I’ve photographed close to 200 weddings and worked with countless professionals in this industry. I can say with absolute confidence to you that Daniel’s approach to capturing weddings is unlike any other. So much so that he was the only photographer we even considered when planning our wedding.
Daniel’s incredible images moved us so much that we actually planned our wedding date around his availability!
Daniel’s not a traditional wedding photographer—he’s more like a photographer who happens to be at a wedding. His style is improvisational, free flowing; like that of a jazz musician. He has an intuitive ability to read people, their energy and their relationships—it’s is a rare gift—and he spends time getting to know your guests to understand the role they’ve played in your lives. That effortless ability allows him to pick up on what’s important and unique in every wedding and is one of the secrets behind his incredibly intimate photos.
Daniel is a true artist, wholeheartedly dedicated to his craft. During our wedding he had so much energy, and that energy was contagious. It gave us permission to be free; to lose ourselves in what’s happening and forget that we’re being photographed.
Over the seven plus years I’ve been a wedding photographer, Daniel has always inspired me. His style is raw and real; uniquely human and a breath of fresh air in an industry that can sometimes feel stuffy and contrived. A unique blend of fine art and true photojournalism, Daniel’s photographs are not a generic catalog of your wedding but instead showcase the emotion and essence of you and the people closest to you. This is only possible because of his gift of connecting with people, his (what feels like) limitless energy and unique way of seeing the world in an abstract and beautiful way.

The BEST Photographers in the Game!
Hire them. Daniel and Ashley are the most talented photographers out there. They were hands down the best decision I made for the wedding. My photos capture emotion, fun, love, wildness, wine spilling on my dress - every instance of what made our wedding us. They get to know the couple and their families because to them photography isn't work, its a way to connect - fills their cup as they say. They work their a** off - sweating in the 100 degree heat, pushing their way into the dance floor to capture all the craziness. If you want perfectly placed hair and posed photos, they are not for you. If you want to feel your wedding in your photos, hire them. -

Daniel and his wife shot our wedding and it was truly magical. They captured the moments that mattered. They captured what we cared about and who we cared about. Every single photo is perfect in every way. Everything about their vibe and personality is perfect in every way. They never make you feel like you have to take a picture here or one way. It is just be yourself and we will capture. I can't imagine our wedding without them there and we are just so thankful and grateful they were there to capture everything for us. -

We felt so cared for and valued throughout the whole process. Daniel is not a remarkable photographer because he is an absolute master of light or because he has been trained to understand the nuances that comprise a truly good formal photograph (though he is and he has) - he is a remarkable photographer because he SEES and then captures that feeling into an image. Every image he captured from our day, had heart and feeling in it and that's because he literally did not stop looking and shooting the entire time he was with us. He knows how to run a tight timeline, came with so many creative ideas, scouted locations for our images, and was just all around the best to work with. Daniel goes above and beyond, it's his only setting when holding a camera and the images he captures will not disappoint. -

User2199418 Sent on 06/27/2015I must say that choosing Daniel and Ashley to capture our wedding was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process. I went through 100's of photographers and their work before we were able to narrow it down to a handful. Photography is one of my husband's hobbies and when we looked at Daniel's work, it had a certain element to it that set it apart from the other photographers we saw. Although he's from Arizona, he travels all over for weddings so he was able to do our engagement pictures in San Francisco and shoot our wedding in Temecula.
The best part about Daniel and Ashley is the passion they have in helping you capture every emotion you are feeling all in one snapshot. Daniel is a pleasure to work with and through the process they feel like a great friend who is always there to support you. Don't worry about looking natural as Daniel knows all the tricks in making sure you are doing the right thing or facing the right way.
I can't say enough about how Daniel and Ashley captured our wedding. We were truly lucky to have them be our photographers and I am recommending everyone we know to give them a shot. The photographs are classic and beautiful. We can't wait to see the rest of our wedding pictures! If they're anything like our engagement pictures, we know they will be gorgeous, romantic and whimsical. -

He is incredibly kind, energetic, passionate about photography, approachable, responsive and simply wonderful to work with. My husband and I enjoyed our engagement session with him, as he made us feel very comfortable and gave us the perfect amount of direction. On the actual wedding day, he was energetic and upbeat and great about keeping us on schedule without making us feel rushed. His wife was wonderful to work with as well, and their combined presence was a lovely addition to the wedding day. I would highly recommend Daniel to anyone looking for a photographer. He is an excellent photographer that is able to capture a couples' personality and facilitate a truly enjoyable photography experience. -
User1950867 Sent on 12/04/2014Daniel Kim and his wife/team member are both amazing to work with and are extremely talented. I loved that he took the time to get in a few shots that I really wanted. I have no doubt that they are going to be extremely successful in the photography business. He was very flexible with scheduling our engagement shoot and was on time for every appointment. I didn't even see him sneaking around to get pictures during the ceremony, like you see at some weddings, so he definitely blended in well. He even brought a light since my wedding venue was pretty dark and candle lit which will make a huge difference in the photographs. Also, the pictures after the ceremony, with family, he made pretty quick which was nice because you want to be doing other things. He takes like one picture with each group and then checks to make sure its good and then moves on, rather than taking 50 photos of each shot like some photographers do. Anyways, he was extremely great from a talent perspective and also just an awesome guy. He even delivered the pictures to me in a pretty package and printed/developed some of his personal favorites. Would highly recommend him. -

We did our engagement session with him prior to the wedding and couldn't have been more excited about our photos. The day of the wedding he and his wife were incredible! They are able to find and capture the beauty in everything. The quality of photography and professionalism they provide is outstanding. I would recommend Daniel Kim Photography to anyone - we hope to work with them again!

He was amazing to work with and I couldn't have been more happy with the results. I found his website and fell in love with his style, and even though we are in the Chicago area, he was willing to travel for the wedding and made the process effortless. During the engagement shoot he was able to help us with posing and looking natural, even though my husband and I were feeling nervous. Before and during the wedding he went above and beyond to help us with anything (he even helped us during during the rehearsal!) and the pictures turned out amazing! He was professional and passionate, and helped to create and preserve memories for our wedding day. I would recommend to anyone to hire him for your wedding! There are so many more amazing things I could say about him, we were completely happy with our decision to have him as our photographer.
