Absolutely Amazing Work

Dan is fantastic! We hired as our wedding photographer and cannot say enough about how much we loved working with him. He is a kind, talkative, and respectful man who knows what he is doing as a photographer. He took and provided us with over 1000 photos of our wedding day and was really able to capture the emotion of the day. Dan made us feel comfortable even when we don't love getting our pictures taken and sometimes we even forgot he was there. We loved working with him and would recommend him to anyone!

Best photographer ever!

Hey, bride talking here!
I don't have enough words to thank Dan and Pam for making my wedding day so special. I had a lot of problems with other vendors at the event but, really, they saved my day.
Dan and Pam were very punctual. We had ceremony and reception done in different locations (around 20 minutes apart) and they were so great moving from one place to the other. The impression we had was that they were little early everywhere. Everywhere you looked at you could see Pam or Dan doing photos. It's so important having the second photographer! I strongly recommend that. They don't miss any shot!
My family is from Brazil and they don't speak English at all but Dan was so great with them, making them laugh and feel comfortable taking pictures in 30 degree weather. We are glad we booked them 10 months ahead of the wedding and didn't leave it for the last minute. They are absolutely worth the investment!

Best Photographer we could have asked for!

We could not be happier with Dan Doke and all of his hard work during the wedding. He was flexible, patient, and easy to work with. He is efficient and timely in his work, and got all the pictures we wanted, plus some. We were able to enjoy our wedding and not get pulled everywhere throughout the night because of what an amazing job he did. We were impressed by the sneak peak we got, and can’t wait to see our photos soon! Now we know why our venue recommended Dan as one of the top photographers in the area! Choose Dan Doke Photography and you will not be disappointed!

We got married at Birch Wood Vineyards this past October, and Dan Doke was a preferred vendor/part of the vendor package there. He did a wonderful job photographing our day! We are so glad we upgraded our package and added a 2nd photographer. Our pictures are great quality, and he really interacted with the group which was fun! Dan ensured we would get our outside photos in before the sunset, and he absolutely delivered. I am so glad I had the DJ gather everyone onto the dance floor (to open the dance floor), and that Dan was able to capture the shot! At the end of the day, we ended up with about 1400 photographs, which is more than I ever imagined! Everyone who views my photographs is blown away!

Amazing experience. Dan and a 2nd photographer (I apologize that I do not remember his name, but he was equally amazing) arrived and immediately began to capture the most beautiful moments. He moved the process along without making us feel so that we could go and enjoy the cocktail hour. It was a truly wonderful experience. Highly recommend Daniel Doke Photography. You will not be disappointed.

Ok so...I am not one that likes myself in pictures. I really don’t, like most women I am hyper critical of my body, my face, the way my eyes look...you get it. I also didn’t see a need for a professional photographer (honestly that’s from my dad…#wantedtosavemoney)

Here are my thoughts on Dan Doke Photography - Dan as my photographer…

HIRE DAN DOKE PHOTOGRAPHY! I can’t even BEGIN to describe to you how from the second I met Dan, to my engagement photo session and down to my actual day of marriage how taken care of and happy I was to work with him.

When I met Dan, he immediately made me feel comfortable and confident in his presence. He is the best around and I knew I wanted him for my photographer, but we were on a strict budget. After chatting with him, and making sure to get the photographer booked a year early, Dan worked with us to get his price down a smidge so he could be a photographer!

Ladies, the day of my wedding Dan came in with his calming presence, and was able to get very shot of what I wanted to capture. He had a massive undertaking with our families (we had 5 LARGE families we had to get through) and Dan was able to usher them in and out with such a great level of professionalism and poise that we got through everyone in 30minutes.

We also were able to get a second photographer and it made all the difference. Cindy, who was working with Dan, was able to capture all the moments I missed with Pat and all the reactions of our families. During the ceremony they got so many different angles without ever intruding on the ceremony itself and were able to pivot and get me some BEAUTIFUL shots after the rain stopped!

I got the photos back a couple of days ago and can’t stop looking at them. I’ve never felt more beautiful in my life. Dan and his team made me feel incredible and I was so blessed to get to work with him.

If you are looking for outstanding quality and aristic excellence look no further. Dan and Ramsey are amazing., This is the third wedding they have photographed for me ( three daughters) and I could not be happier with their work. I brought them from Boston to Charleston to be sure that every detail of our daughters wedding was captured and they did not disappoint!!!!

We had both Dan and Ramzi as our photographers up at Searles Castle on October 9. To put it simply, they are INCREDIBLE. My husband and I decided to allow both Dan and Ramzi to just take photos as they see fit; in other words allow them to utilize their creative licenses. We didn't come in with a list of ideas we had seen on pinterest, but rather just an idea of the various locations we wanted to go on the castle grounds and maybe a list of 5 pictures we definitely wanted that we had seen from Dan's other work at the castle. Both Dan and Ramzi are super personable and will do anything you ask, but I highly suggest you allow them to be creative. Dan captured some of the most stunning photos I have ever seen. In fact, some of our friends say many of the pictures Dan and Ramzi captured belong in the wedding hall of fame! :) There is one photo in particular that is just breathtaking. Dan and Ramzi are genuinely excited about what they do, which make them so easy and fun to work with. We had the photographers for 6 hours and they took 1500+ pictures... WHAT?! That's a full day's worth in a fraction of the time. They captured every single moment perfectly. The pictures tell our wedding story and we are able to relive our day over and over again. They both even agreed to take pictures outside in the pouring rain because I was dying to have umbrella pictures. They went above and beyond anything I could have asked for.
Dan is top notch - he has photographed numerous magazine covers, gets excited about his own work, and really captures pictures you will love. We received all of our photos first on an online viewing gallery and then later on a flash drive in the mail within 2 or 3 weeks. Dan and his staff are excellent. I'm sure anyone that works under Dan is amazing, but these 2 gentlemen in particular are worth every penny. Photos last a lifetime, be sure you go with someone that you know will produce unreal photos and Dan is DEFINITELY that!

Superb character, great to work with, flexible and budget friendly. These guys are it! We got married on the coldest day of the year in Cambridge with outdoor photos after the ceremony 30 minutes before sunset. Paul was amazing. We provided the list of spaces to take photos in and a list of who would be there. They took it from there, they told who to go where and do what and it rolled very smoothly. We are a family of hyperactivity, so waiting around for hours for photo isn't our style. Paul knew this, and he was able to keep it high energy so that the smiles looked real and was able to impart a fun relaxed atmosphere while doing it. He was also able to capture some amazing candid moments. So it was perfect: a blend of completely natural candid shots and some wonderful staged shots. A great mix to choose from. Outside, it was the coldest day of the year, he got down on the ground and worked really hard to get the best shots possible. He was wonderful to work with!

I cannot say enough about how amazing Paul Streeter was during my entire wedding ceremony and reception. From the moment I met him and asked "Can you take a picture of the party running and then photo shop a dinosaur chasing us?" and his answer was "ABSOLUTELY", I knew that this was going to be the best choice for me.
Paul was ridiculously professional in everything I could have asked for, no matter how outlandish or crazy it sounded in my head he always made me feel like this wasn't a silly idea and it will be the most amazing picture you have ever seen. My pictures were all to DIE for, from the traditional bride and groom photos, to the photos out by the lighthouse on our venue and to the amazing dinosaur one I mentioned above. The sheer amount of photos that I have showed that he actually cared about what he was doing, and the stories that these photos can tell prove to me that this was the best choice to go with for my wedding photographer.
I would recommend Paul to EVERYONE who wants the greatest wedding photos out there. He was amazing to work with and I can't wait to have him do any other professional photo shoots that I will need done in the upcoming years.

Paul Streeter was amazing! He had previously done our engagement photos which came out great. On the day of the wedding he made sure to get every photo we had mentioned and even got some amazing ones in the snow! Our photos look like they could be on the cover of a magazine they came out so great! Couldn't have asked for anything better! I would definitely use Paul and Sam again! Great quality, and amazing customer service!

Our wedding was July 19, 2014 at Four Oaks Country Club in Dracut. We hired Paul Streeter from Daniel Doke Photography. Paul made planning our wedding photos carefree and easy. We met with him prior to the wedding and discussed our style. We mentioned wanting a lot of candid shots and not too many posed/cliché shots. Paul certainly delivered. Our pictures are AMAZING. Paul was scheduled for 7 hours total. He arrived at my house at 3:30 and got right to work taking photos of all of the essentials and “getting ready” pictures. His assistant was at our venue taking key photos there and taking some pictures with the guys. Every moment of our ceremony and reception was captured with perfection. Paul was even there for our last dance! We have received a preview of our wedding album and it looks great. We are given options to make any necessary edits. I really doubt we will need to though. In my opinion, your photographer is one of the key elements to your wedding. When the night is over - the pictures are all you have left to remember a night that flies by so quickly. Be sure to hire someone like Paul. He did a phenomenal job! Thanks Paul!

My entire experience with Dan Doke Photography has been wonderful. In the beginning I worked with Paul to select a package and a photographer…every step of the way, Paul was available to answer questions and give suggestions. We chose Zac as our photographer; he listened to every request I had (which was quite a few!), gave input and helped us when it came to planning the photos for our wedding. We opted to take bridal party photos before the ceremony, and also chose to do a “first-look”; Zac arrived to the venue early and found the perfect place for all our photos. It was taking me a few extra minutes to get ready before photos and Zac was incredibly patient while he waited outside the bridal suite until I was ready for him to come in. Zac was reassuring throughout the day, put me at ease and assured me that I had nothing to worry about. My husband and I both have large families…and several variations of families due to step-parents…Zac and Ramsey (his assistant) were both amazingly patient and got through all of the formal photos in quick succession. Ramsey was awesome at getting the groups to relax and laugh a little…I have no doubts he got great smiles, even from the little kids! At one point during our reception, my husband and I decided to sneak outside for some fresh air. As we walked away from the building and towards the golf course we heard a slow song come on…we put our drinks down and started dancing…before I knew it Zac and Ramsey were quietly taking photos of us. They were never obtrusive and I barely noticed they were there. I’m so happy they took note that we had left the reception and followed us to take a few photos of a stolen moment during our reception.
Without a doubt, Zac and Ramsey did everything they could to ensure amazing photos from our wedding day. We cannot wait to see the final product! We highly recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for family photos.

Dan Doke Photography (Dan Doke himself) was absolutely phenomenal. He took SOOOOOOO many photos, knew how to get everyone to smile, relax and take great pictures. He was everywhere without even being noticed. Highly recommend Dan for any wedding, or engagement pictures, or any pictures you need. Dan did both my daughters high school senior pictures.

Dan did our engagement and wedding photos. He is so easy to work with, and also great when you have a big group that needs a little controlling. He takes amazing photos and makes you feel beautiful and natural. I recommend him to all brides out there!

I would highly recommend to anyone getting married to use a photographer from Dan Doke Photography! I was honored to have Paul and Dan capture my wedding day! They were professional, accommodating, and such a pleasure to have around us that day! They had the best positive energy that eased my nerves and jitters!

The wedding day passed by so fast, it quickly became a blur...but we received an email while we were on our honeymoon of teasers from the big day! Such a pleasant surprise that I did not expect to have so quickly!!

My wedding was in 9/20/2013 and I hired Paul who did the engagement session and the wedding photos. I used so many of our engagment photos at the wedding and everyone commented on how amazing they turned out. All of my guests praised our photographer for capturing every moment without being intrusive. I plan on using Paul and Park Street Studios for my pregnancy pictures and my new born photos. They were amazing to work with and the pictures came out better than I could have ever imagined. They were timely in all responses, got the pictures to us so quickly to be able to share with our family, and really worked with us to ensure we had everything we wanted on our wedding day without blowing up our budget. Simply put there is no other photographer that I would ever recommend over Paul!

I worked with Paul Streeter for my wedding photography and had a great experience! He came early to take pictures of us getting ready and brought an assistant so there are plenty of pictures of both the bride and groom pre-wedding. He captured every moment of the wedding yet was never intruding into the natural flow of things. I am very happy with my final pictures and would definitely recommend Paul!

Highly recommended! Quality work, accommodating and affordable! Dan took my engagement photos and Paul photographed my wedding day. At first glance, I was blown away by Dan's work. I knew when we met at his studio in North Reading this was the company I wanted taking my wedding photos. Paul fell directly in the price range I wanted and we loved his style. It was a very emotional time for my family and I due to my father's illness and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Also, because I was on a specific budget, but very particular about my wedding photos choosing a photographer was very daunting. Dan Doke and Paul Streeter made me very happy with my decision.

Our photographer was Paul Streeter. He was amazing! He was recommended by a close friend who is a wedding planner. Paul was so easy to work with and so pleasant. He is quick to respond to any question you may have. All of his assistants were great! I brought a bunch of picture ideas to Paul and he went out of his way to make everything happen and more. There isn't one picture that I don't like! He does beautiful work and is very talented!What I liked most about him was that you could tell this was his passion and he was truly excited about all the possibilites of our venue. My husband and I hired Paul Streeter (co-owner of Dan Doke). Paul was absolutely amazing. He was fun, creative, great with getting the kids attention and was just all around the best. He was always quick to respond if I had any questions in the months leading up to my wedding. His pictures were AMAZING. Dan and his team gave us the most beautiful and lasting memories of our wedding day. He worked quickly and efficiently and with a lot of humor and walked everyone in my family through picture time after our wedding ceremony. My husband, one of the biggest critics for quality, was very impressed with Dan, and he loved our pictures so much that he even sat with me to create and design our wedding album and pick the pictures that we had blown up to frame for the walls of our home. I cannot say enough about my photographer Paul Streeter of Dan Doke Photography!! He was my favorite vendor by far :) He is so easy to work with and very responsive to our requests. In my opinion he went above & beyond to make our special day, the very best! As a bride trying to plan it can get overwhelming. Paul helped to make sure the photography aspects were covered even helping me to think of things I hadn't considered and should have! I never felt pressured or uncomfortable at all, as a matter of fact by the time the big day came he felt like a friend :) He was more than flexible to arrange an engagement shoot with us and the turnaround time on the images was super fast. The day of the wedding went so smooth. When I was trying to absorb the day, Paul & his assistant made sure that they kept on task so that we got the wedding pictures we wanted while allowing us to savor every minute. When the day ends, you walk away with each other, your memories and your PHOTOS!! It is worth the investment to put the most special day of your life in the hands of someone you can trust will produce photo memories you will cherish. You will not regret choosing them to photograph your wedding! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

Paul was a great photographer for our wedding! Super laid back and responsive to any requests we had. We didn't have a particular style we were looking for so he did a little of everything ... some classic, some poses, some candids, some black and white, etc ... Even ran outside with us when we frantically wanted a pic of the rainbow that appeared after dinner. Made our day perfect!

Dan and his crew are AMAZING! They are wonderfulm about being "in the background" but getting the shot. My guests hardly realized they were there! I was looking for a photographer that wasn't going to stand me in a line and tell me to smile...I found that with Paul Streeter. He is so artistic that most of my FAVORITE wedding photos were of the times I didn't even know he was taking them! He certainly has the talent along with a very easy going attitude. Daniel Doke Photography has done two Sturtevant family weddings- my sister had Dan and I had Zac! Both sets of photos have been absolutely gorgeous and amazing! My wedding was July 2013 and Zac was UNBELIEVABLE! Paul was our photographer for our wedding and everything was perfect! The day of our wedding he took a variety of pictures from traditional and candid to artistic. I absolutely love our portrait, which is an artsy black and white photo on canvas. I am so glad we chose Paul, because with his skill in lighting and angles he was able to capture both the romance of a wedding day and the celebration with friends and family. Paul was able to capture the emotion and beauty of the day in way I did not think was possible. If I am having a bad day all I have to do is bring up pictures of our Wedding day and I am instantly transported back to that special day. My father passed away just days before the wedding and Paul was very respectful of the situation and my change in certain plans. Every vendor - especailly Paul was able to make my day literally picture perfect. He was definitely willing to make sacrifices for the perfect shot and provide ideas for shots that really suited us and the venue. Paul was a "lifesaver" he came to our rescue when our orginal photographer went out of business 2 weeks before our wedding. He matched the prices I was quoted from the orginal photographer and was able to give me more hours and provided an additional photographer at no cost. He was very responsive and answered all my questions, when I called I was always able to get ahold of him or if i left a message he would return the call the same day even when he was on vacation. What I liked about Paul was how much he enjoyed what he did and during the pre-wedding photos he showed me pictures of the wedding cake that he took which I thought was great ;). My husband and I just received our proofs and they came out amazing. I cannot wait to get the album.

Before my husband and I were even engaged I knew I wanted to hire Dan Doke as our wedding photographer and it was by far one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Dan took amazing engagement photo's for us and many people have said the pictures look like they should be on the cover of a romantic novel. We loved working with him as he is professional and fun. We just got married three weeks ago and once again Dan was a blast to work with and my family loved him as well. He 100% wants to make sure the shots he's taking are what you are looking for. I was lucky enough to have Dan himself photograph our wedding. He was amazing!!!!!! He also shot our engagement photos which came out unbelieveably beautiful. Dan has true talent and a real attention to detail.
I recieved my wedding album and was completely blown away. He let me relive our wedding all over again. The album told a beautiful story and even for people who didnt attend our wedding....they could look through and get the whole picture! We used Paul Streeter from Dan Doke Photography for our 12/31/11 Wedding. The customer service, attention to detail, and his desire to capture exactly what we wanted was amazing and very professional. Paul and his partner were on time, dressed appropriately for our "Black Tie" wedding, and were both excellent in their execution. We stayed on time throughout the night. We went over the timeline twice with Paul over the phone before the wedding - his recommendation and follow up. From 2:30 PM-12:30 AM Paul captured Getting Ready, Our First Look, Our Trolley Ride, Wedding Party Photos, Family Photos, Greeting Line in the Church, Our Ceremony, Our Cocktail Hour, Our Reception, and Our Balloon Drop at Midnight (New Years Eve Wedding). Paul was even able to steal us for a quick photo outside by the outdoor lighting that we had requested. I was a great shot and we only missed 5 mins of the night. Paul had us fill out a form of what type of attention we wanted to have at our wedding. We had said we didn't even want to know they were there once the Ceremony started. We explained that we loved action/candid shots. When we got our proofs - a week after our wedding - we were shocked at how many excellent photos we had. The best part was we didn't see Paul or his partner all night. The got everything. They didn't miss one moment. Paul gave us memories to have forever. Not to mention within to weeks of the wedding we had the CD to share our photos in email/Facebook with friends and family.

You are spending a ton on your wedding. Hire the best photographer. That is what you will have to look back on to remember your day.

Hire Paul - I promise. You will not be disappointed.

Dan is a great guy!! His studio is magnificent! Our photographer was Jeff and I gotta say, he was a tremndous guy! Had great photo ideas, was flexible and of course ON TIME! Dan Doke and his associate Cindy were the photographers for our wedding. They came extremely prepared with another professional for lighting. Dan moved pictures along at a comforable, yet efficient pace, and was extremely efficient at arranging people for photos. He knew exactly what he wanted and was great at directing. People felt comfortable, and he creates a fun and laughter-filled atmosphere for all. I have not yet received the final album however I am very happy so far with the CD of proofs we are to select that was sent to me by his studio. We expect the albums to be completed within the next 5-6 months. He was very respectful of the other individuals present, such as our videographer and DJ. His pictures are unique and high quality. I would definitely recommed this studio, especially if you are looking for something with that extra edge.

Our photographer, Ramzi Wakim, was very professional and worked with us to make sure that we got exactly the kind of wedding photos that we wanted. We worked with Paul out of Dan Doke & Park Street Studios. Paul was absolutely amazing, and was great to work with. He was very easy to talk to about things we wanted ect. I can't believe the amount of photos he captured and you barely knew he was there! He captured some amazing moments and we are so happy to have worked with the whole company!

From the initial consultation to the final purchase, we always felt that we were their main priority. We were floored by the quality of the final product and feel that their best characteristic is how discreet they were at our wedding yet were able to capture our most intimate and romantic moments with ease.

This review won't be very long at all. All I have to say about Dan Doke is AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. Worth every penny!!! Photos last forever, and I am so glad that we trusted Dan Doke to capture our wedding day. His pictures are phenomenal, and I am so happy that we had them do a wedding video too. I know it will be as amazing as his pictures. I plan on using Dan as our photographer for family photos, baby pictures, and any other important event in our future!

The photographer just posted the photos from my wedding online and I am absolutely in love with them. Paul Streeter was very flexible and very patient with my mother in law! The only thing I was disappointed with (and this is mostly my fault) was that we only had him booked for 6 hours so he wasnt able to capture our last dance. But overall he was super nice and his assistant was great too. Would recommend 100%!

Dan is simply amazing. We saw his photographs at other venues we looked at and simply knew we had to have him. His photos are gorgeous. He makes taking the pictures feel natural to you and avoids the awkwardness of "posing." He is a bit on the expensive side, but worth going over the budget for. Pictures are what last a lifetime. He was very accomodating and creative. He takes unique pictures. On top of the gorgeous pictures he takes, he is extremely talented in the album design. We have a very unique album made digitally that isn't simply pictures placed into an album. Highly recommended to anyone.

Gorgeous photos!

Dan did such a great job - he kept everyone comfortable and having fun throughout the day of my wedding. He kept us moving along through formals to make sure that we had time to enjoy the moment with guests too. He checked in with us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable with the pace of things. The photos we got were great - there was so much on the flash drive we are still finding photos we like that we missed the first time we looked at them! Highly recommend Dan for a wedding Photographer!

Dan was amazing. Great at managing time and getting the photos taken care of. Our only difficulty was that the contact for our photos was pretty slow to respond via e-mail after the wedding when we were trying to get pictures for our albums selected.

Paul was a pleasant addition to our wedding he and his other photographer really captured the moments. And that's no easy task with our fast moving group! We've even had Paul back to photograph our next chapters with my maternity photos and newborn photos.

Dan did such a wonderful job on our wedding. He was the first vendor I booked for my wedding. I saw his work in a magazine and would not settle for anyone else. My pictures look amazing! Dan is truly an artist!

I had two photographers at my wedding because I wanted several angles and every aspect to be captured. We ended up doing a la carte because we were having a ceremony one day and a reception after the honeymoon. Arne and Jack were my two photographers and they were wonderful to work with. They had amazing ideas for photos and took the suggestions I had found on pinterest. Arne was wonderful and helped keep me on time for the ceremony. I would highly recommend them and can't wait to get my photos back.

This company is very professional, and all of their photographers take breathtaking photos. I chose to have Jeff photograph my wedding, and his wife was his assistant. I loved having two photographers there, that way there were double the moments captured. Jeff was funny and really made my husband and I feel comfortable. He constantly reminded us that he was there for us and to let him know what we wanted. The company is pricey, but the quality is worth it.

Very, very happy with the pictures. Zac took some absolutely incredible shots. If you're like me, I do recommend asking if you can have *all* the photos to review. A few key photos were accidentally deleted in the trimming down process. I didn't realize it was only 1/3 of the total photos and therefore panicked over the idea that certain pictures were never taken. Thankfully that was fixed in no time. One thing I really appreciated was that Zac edited the gorgeous sunset into photos taken just after the sunset, so that we got that dynamic backdrop to some of our pictures.

What you see isn't what you get

I recently got married at Birchwood Vineyards and had Ramzi from Dan Doke as my photographer. After looking at his portfolio I thought that he would be a good match for our day. But upon recently receiving our pictures I'm super disappointed. The day was perfect but the pictures show nothing but posed pictures. We had a few conversations about how I didn't want just posed photos, I wanted natural shots, that reflected us. Instead, I have shot after shot of us in awkward poses and standing with family. There is none of the emotion captured that went into that day and I'm sad I can't look back at it to relive that feeling.

I would NOT recommend this photographer if you want a package that includes a bridal album. Dan was good on the wedding day - cheerful, energetic, and full of ideas for posed pictures - and he took some good photos. We were disappointed, though, that he took about so many pictures of things like floral centerpieces (who cares?!) and no pictures of the guests at their tables. The family so rarely gets all together and it would have been nice to have some photos of them as a group. But I’m sure these could be non-issues if you were explicit about what you want ahead of time. I had just assumed table pictures were standard. Also, we opted to add a second photographer through Dan and he was awful - not only were all his pictures poor (most were off-color or something), but he ended up in the frame of the photos Dan was taking.

The album-making process was truly dreadful. First of all, the first draft of the album they sent us was cuckoo. It was so cuckoo we had to schedule an appointment to meet with Dan to discuss all the edits we’d like to make. And just to be clear- we’re both super low-maintenance, not artsy or very picky about appearances, so this was not just some Bridezilla being insane - the first draft was bad. When we met with Dan, he said something like, “Oh I don’t know what Zach was thinking”. Wait, what? I had assumed Dan would assemble our album. But I guess he has his underlings do it. FYI. To his credit, Dan worked with us during this meeting to assemble something good. But it was annoying to have to drive an hour each way to do this, when he should have done the album in the first place (in my opinion).

More importantly, it took over two years to get our album - and that was with me HOUNDING them for the last nine months or so. It’s a multistep process, and we’d submit our part and then...radio silence. For months, sometimes. Then I’d email to check on them...no response. A week later I would call...usually no answer. Running out of space here!

I’m heartbroken

Vendor did not contact me until a few days before the wedding, and then the photos were blurry or out of focus when I finally got them. Only a handful were edited, and poorly edited at that (just added tons of contrast). There are no photos of our first dance, but I got about 7 different photos of the venue sign? I have no wedding photos that I can frame or even want to share and I’m honestly heartbroken.

We regret taking our wedding venue's suggestion of using Daniel Doke photography. We hired this company for our November 2013 wedding. and didn't received the photos we asked for...actually we haven't received any photos at all 10 months after our wedding. Their contracts say that they will give the copies with the album (which is ridiculous given how long those take to make). I just received the album to day and there were no photos included. The album itself was of poor quality with blurry photos and people that look orange. He did not take the style of photos we asked for - the type you'd see on a wedding blog, something creative. We got boring, generic photos that look exactly like all the other weddings he's done at our venue. They photos they took were awful. We asked for pictures of our dinner and got greasy photos of the antipasto buffet. There are no pictures of our ring bearer. All the photos of my dress, shoes, jewelry are incredibly amateur. We also have not received our engagement photos from June 2013. His wife and admin Pam does not return emails in a timely manner and leaves out a lot of information. Save yourself the aggravation and find another photographer.

Not what we were hoping for

I would not recommend!! We had John and Tammy from Doke photography. We sat down with them before our wedding to discuss pictures we wanted to make sure we’re captured (picture with each table of guests, pictures in front of our venue, several different pictures on the venue property). Unfortunately none of these pictures were captured. There were several times John had put into poses that felt unnatural and uncomfortable. He was unwilling to take our input. The second photographer Tammy often would not take pictures unless John was there and he gave her his approval. Our venue at Birchwood Vineyards was beautiful, however we have very little to show for it. Once we finally received our pictures months later, they looked unedited and as if we took them on an iPhone. I had very high hopes and unfortunately we were extremely let down.
