The Dana Powers House and Barn was an absolute dream for our wedding. From the moment we laid eyes on it, we knew it was the perfect place for our special day. The rustic elegance of the barn combined with its inherent charm was exactly what we had envisioned.
Melanie, who managed the venue, was an absolute gem. Her responsiveness and willingness to answer all our queries made the planning process smoother. She truly helped bring our vision to life.
The ceremony area, set on a patch of lush green grass with a wooden stage, was like something out of a fairytale. The backdrop of vibrant green trees added an ethereal touch that made our vows even more magical.
The venue's details, like the beautiful rose bushes, added a picturesque quality to our photos that we'll cherish forever. And the presence of a fire pit allowed our guests to enjoy the sweet delight of s'mores—a thoughtful touch that added to the cozy, intimate atmosphere.
Overall, the Dana Powers House and Barn encapsulated everything we desired in a venue. The blend of elegance, rustic charm, and natural beauty provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. Countless compliments poured in about how stunning the venue was, reaffirming that we had made the best choice for our wedding. It truly was a place where dreams came true. -

The Dana Powers House & Barn was the wedding venue of our dreams!!! Married in August of 2022, we looked at several options in the area, and as soon as we finished our tour of Dana, we knew no other venue could match. Not only are the house and barn both exceptionally magical, the service provided by everyone who works there is phenomenal. Melanie always responded to us promptly leading up to the wedding, and as a detail-oriented bride, I had so many questions for her that she answered with kindness and patience. It left us feeling assured and confident that everything would go smoothly on wedding day! Zack was a pleasure to work with as well, always going above and beyond to make our wishes come true (he helped us build a custom photo wall which we later rented through Embellish, made sure our signs were hung to our liking, answered several questions about the venue’s layout, and more). Another huge differentiator was how flexible the venue was, although they have preferred vendor lists and guidelines to follow, everything was so reasonable and they were able to accommodate our vision for the big day. If we had a question/request, they found a solution! We were married on the ceremony lawn near the barn and had our reception inside the barn, but we rented the house for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready. The barn was rustic elegance at its finest, and the house + surrounding gardens were quaint and picture perfect. Our guests have not stopped raving about how beautiful the venue was, and we look back on how special the entire day was thanks to Dana’s beauty and the team’s care. They truly want you to have a wonderful wedding day and will make you feel at peace from the day you book them! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone at the Dana Powers House & Barn including Judi, Melanie and Zack. We can’t recommend this venue enough! -

Wedding Venue of my Dreams!
The house is the most beautiful fairytale venue that I've ever seen. In every single picture it is the perfect backdrop! Everyone there is super nice and thoughtful and will make you feel like your day is important. I highly recommend booking this venue for any event! It truly is so beautiful it really doesn't need any decorations. -

As the other reviewers have stated, Dana Powers was fantastic and we could not have picked a more perfect venue for our big day. The property is gorgeous with a variety of great photo spots from the gardens, the house, the barn, the field for sunset photos the opportunities are endless. On top of that, minimal decor is needed since the space is already so lovely. We rented a few items through Embellish onsite which was very easy and convenient (although a bit pricey IMO).
Melanie and Zac were SO great to work with. Incredibly responsive, helpful, flexible and really nice.
We are thrilled with our experience and how everything turned out and highly recommend! Thank you DP team!

I remember sitting at my sisters dining room table so excited that I just got engaged. My sisters were helping me look for wedding venues and my twin said “B, look at this venue! It’s beautiful!” And my heart skipped a beat. I saw the photo of Dana Powers Barn and emailed them right away asking if we can visit. We visited 8 other venues and we just couldn’t stop thinking of Dana Powers Barn. Their email communication was amazing, kind, fast, positive, and helpful. They were never pushy, they just were so nice! We ended up booking the Barn for our ceremony and reception and during the wedding planning process Melanie was the sweetest most helpful person! She was there for every question. Reading her emails I can just tell Melanie is just a nice human being. Their rental company is literally the best thing every and one of the 2nd main things why we hired them! They have so many cute rentals! On rehearsal day we figured out we needed one more drink station and we just walked on over with Zach and chose one to rent. How easy is that! The email communication was amazing, the wedding was amazing, the rehearsal was amazing! Their barn is so beautiful and even more beautiful at night! It’s filled with lighting, the bar is amazing and was a huge hit, and the barn has cement! Thank you Dana Powers, Melanie, and Zach for making our wedding day purely amazing and a night and experience we will cherish forever. We can’t thank you enough, I highly recommend this venue to any bride and groom! -

This venue is absolutely perfect in every way! All the guests ranted and raved about how gorgeous the barn and surrounding areas are. It has the perfect balance of rustic and elegance. Zac, Melanie, and Judi were amazing to work with and made sure that every need was met. It's a little slice of heaven! -

We absolutely loved our wedding this summer at Dana Powers House and Barn. The venue is breathtaking and had everything we were looking for and more for our special day. From the victorian house to the lush gardens and the amazing orchards to the magical barn - this venue is a vintage dream. Everyone was blown away by the special venue and all of the unique touches. Dana Powers House is a one-of-a-kind wedding venue that went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable event. Thank you SO much - it was spectacular! -

In short this venue is the most amazing versatile location we visited while planning. Judi, the owner is so sweet and accommodating and it was such a pleasure to work with her.
We live in the Bay Area and had driven down to spend the weekend looking at venues. Dana Powers House was our last visit. Pulling into the driveway we knew this location was the one. My fiancé (now husband) works in the wedding industry and couldn't believe how amazing the venue was. Having been to over 300 venues it takes a lot to get him interested. But the possibilities Dana Powers House has to offer and all the character the property has got him really excited. The plentiful areas you have to choose from to take photos/video are endless and put this venue head and shoulders above the rest.
We used the whole property to have a cottage garden style ceremony and a rustic-chic barn reception.
Judi also runs a vintage rentals business so the opportunities to create a truly custom pintrest perfect wedding are endless.
If you're looking to get married in the central coast make sure you visit DPH as you won't be disappointed. -
Stephanie Sent on 12/07/2017We were guests at our friends wedding at the Dana Powers Barn and I fell in love. I knew when the day came for us to get married we had to do it here. I reached out to Judi right after we got engaged and booked the barn. She and her assistant, Sheila, were so easy to work with. I had to change our date a couple times and they were so accommodating. I LOVE Judi! She was so helpful with everything: vendors, decor, everything! She also has a rental shop with beautiful decor - so needless to say this was a one stop shop! August 26th, 2017 was the best day ever..... all thanks to Judi and her team!

Tiffany Sent on 11/04/2017Dana Powers House is AMAZING. The venue itself is gorgeous, a perfectly manicured lawn for the ceremony and jaw-dropping barn in all it's rustic beauty. There is a super cute bridal suite to do last minute touches and leave all bridal belongings in, as well as a rustic shed complete with old truck for the boys. Besides the venue, you get to work with Judi Powers who is so knowledgeable and willing to help make your wedding journey perfect. She gives you a list of vendors to ensure you hire the best vendors possible. You can get other vendors approved, but just go off her list, she knows what she's talking about! She also has an "embellishment barn" which has wonderful decorations, furniture, basically anything you can think of to make your day extra special! We rented many things from the barn since it was basically a one stop shop, and less we had to worry about. I cannot imagine having our wedding anywhere else, it was everything we could have ever imagined!

We thought we'd never find it until we magically stumbled upon it and just WOW. Our guests could not believe the location, the ambiance, the amazing "feeling" this place has....We are 6 months out from our wedding and people still talk about it like it happened last week. Judi is just amazing. Professional, beyond creative, attentive and an absolute pro. Do not even think about doing your wedding here without renting from her vintage rental company: http://www.embellishvintagerentals.com and definitely have Judi be your "day of" wedding coordinator; you have no idea how much you need her to move things along and make sure everything behind the scenes STAYS behind the scenes. Honestly, I cannot say enough about this special place... The best part was...after all was said and done, on our way out Judi said to us: "Don't forget to come back and do photos with your babies in the garden someday..." What a great idea. :) Love her. Love this place. You absolutely MUST see it...whether you want a demure garden wedding, a rustic vintage wedding or have absolutely no idea what you want...at the very least go see it. It's a true gem. <3 -

Judi always responded quickly to e-mails and calls and was very flexible when we came into town for planning. The wedding was everything we had hoped for and my husband and I felt truly taken care of, there was a lot we tried to do ourselves but Judi and her team came together to finish the little things we didn't think of. All of our guests are still talking about how beautiful and elegant the wedding was. This venue was everything we had been looking for and to have such an experienced, talented, helpful and pleasant person to guide us through this process was more than we could have ever asked for! -

The property is absolutely beautiful, well maintained, and most definitely loved by the owner, Judi Powers & I cannot say enough good things about Ms. Judi Powers. She was a life saver and truly a pleasure to work with.
It is evident Judi loves what she does, she is full of ideas & I appreciate her attention to detail.
Not only is the barn & property breath-taking, Judi's service, help, and support throughout all the planning stages was incredible. I would email her occasionally with questions for decor etc, she always was quick to respond.
And to top it all -- It rained on my wedding, my ceremony had been planned outside -- and only 30 minutes before, it was evident the ceremony need to be switched inside. JUDI made the call & she made sure the ceremony was beautiful inside. It was a seamless transition -- one that I could not help with because I was in my dress already, but when I came out to walk down, it was beautiful thanks to Judi & her team. The barn is so unique and goregous that I am not even sad it rained on my wedding day, getting married in the barn was without a doubt such a special moment for my husband & I & all our guests.
sorry that was so long-- i guess the most important thing to say is that I HIGHLY recommend this venue & I appreciate all of Judi Powers' hard work!!! -

My guests were in awe of how spectacular the property was and how you get that combination of a garden/vintage theme from the victorian house and gardens mixed in with that country/rustic theme from the barn. I used the house for our ceremony and the barn for our reception. The details that come with the venue are gorgeous (you really don't have to do much else if you don't want to) and work so well together. The barn is actually big enough to eat and dance in, which most other barns in the area are not big enough for. We had 175 guests, and we fit in the barn comfortably. The ambiance of the venue really brought my theme together and made our wedding one for the books amongst our friends and family. I would highly recommend getting married here, you won't be disappointed. -

The first time I visited the Dana Powers House, I knew it was THE ONE. No doubt about it :) I utilized the barn portion of the site, which fit mine and my husband's personalities better. But the house portion of the site is also absolutely gorgeous. Anywhere at the Dana Powers house is spectacular. Judi does such a great job and she is so talented with the decor she comes up with. Her and her crew did such a great job accommodating me and my guests. She made sure everything went smoothly and perfectly. Judi was calm, which kept me calm, and she always had a smile on her face. The Dana Powers House made my wedding day a dream come true! -

Celeste Sent on 12/26/2013This past year, my husband Marcus and I got married at Dana-Powers House. We had our ceremony outside on the lawn near the barn and our reception inside the barn. I was planning our wedding long distance from New York City and the owner of the venue, Judi Powers was very responsive throughout all the months leading up to the wedding, especially 1-2 months beforehand. When our wedding day arrived, everything was more amazing and breathtaking than we could have ever imagined! The venue itself is stunning, yet makes a wonderful canvas for your own personal tastes and embellishments. Judi even has rentals for you to decorate with, which made things all the easier to plan. On the day of, our guests could not stop GUSHING about how beautiful, charming, fun and wonderful it all was. Guests felt it was such a special and unique venue. We hired Judi as our day-of coordinator and she was great at taking care of all the small details behind the scenes. She made sure the guests were taken care of while the wedding party was too busy taking photos, etc. She brought parasols out to shade our guests while they waited in the sun for the ceremony to begin — without us asking her to. Judi has a tireless zest for details and lovingly makes sure that your wedding will go smoothly. The only reason why "Flexibility" has 3 stars is because there are venue rules which prohibited us from serving hard alcohol for more than 1 hour and because I really wanted us to be sent off with sparklers or sky lanterns, but neither were allowed (understandably) for fire hazard reasons. Our wedding day, however, was true PERFECTION and overshadowed any of these restrictions by a mile. My groom and I had an amazing time and we wouldn't have done it any differently. Cheers! -Celeste
