I was so used to being behind the camera as a stylist that being the subject was a nerve-wracking idea. But with Dana my nerves were gone in an instant. It was just like hanging out with my best friend! Her calm go-with-the-flow personality made it easy for everyone to relax and enjoy their time. Dana caught all of those special moments - and some that I didn't even realize were happening! Our posed shots were easy, fun and beautiful, but those candid moments took the cake. There were some truly funny moments that we never would have known about, but are cemented in our wedding album for years to come.
When our wedding album finally arrived, I cried. It was so beautiful and it brought back all of those lovely memories. In addition to our album, we also ordered a large print of our favorite private moment by the rose hedge on the property. It hangs prominently in our living room and as cheesey as it may sound, it brings me so much joy every time I see it.
Working with Dana was a true pleasure. Her responses were always timely and concise. Her quality of work and attention to details were wonderful. And finally, she made a stressful day easy, enjoyable, and relaxing. And as a bride who planned the whole day on her own, Dana was exactly the person I needed to capture it all. -

Dana was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire wedding process. From when we first reached out hire her, to receiving our photo gallery. We definitely chose the right photographer for our special day. She is trustworthy, commutative, and very clearly passionate about her work. On wedding day, Dana made everything comfortable and easy. She directed us and our families on positioning and posing for photos seamlessly, and made everything feel very natural. Many of our family members complimented how lovely it was working with Dana. When we got our gallery back, we were completely in awe of how perfect it was. We wanted a moody and natural look, and wow did Dana deliver. She captured our day so beautifully. We cannot express enough how happy we are with how our photos turned out. If we had to do it all over again, we’d choose Dana to be our photographer again in a heartbeat. -

Working with Dana Kae has been incredible from the very beginning and even post wedding, she continues to be amazing to work with. After our initial consultation I knew I wanted her to be our photographer - she was warm, friendly, and professional. Leading up to the day - she was thorough and very communicative so we were all on the same page. During the wedding she was so great with my family and friends and our dog - they all loved her. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and made it so fun. And when we got the photos back, my husband and I were speechless. All the feelings and memories from the day were captured so beautifully, I am still in awe. And now we continue to work with her to put our wedding album together which she has been the best to work with. I can't recommend her enough - her photos are truly memories we will treasure for our lifetime. -

August 2025 Wedding
Dana is incredible to work with! She communicated effectively through the planning process, the day of, and afterward to keep us in the loop with timelines and expectations. We had a guest list of 100 individuals with the wedding itself broken into 3 segments. Dana captured the entire event in magnificent detail and we have photos of all the guests, which makes the memories all the more valuable. She is absolutely delightful to work with, being flexible with our changing schedule (we decided to extend our hours, which she accommodated without any issue) and venue. I would strongly recommend Dana Kae Photography to anyone celebrating a special occasion! -

My husband and I had such a great experience with Dana! With how friendly and kind she is, it made it really easy to be comfortable being photographed. The photos came out great and I loved the shareable link for family to view the photos when they were ready.
We started with an intro video call talking about what the day would look like, general greetings, and getting to know each other. It was a nice time to meet Dana before the day. Helped with photo ideas and even a little of the plan for the day to make sure we had enough time booked with her. The photos were a nice mixture of black&white and color with so many options! Had a overall great experience and thinking of booking some time for our anniversary with her! -

Dana was the best photographer we could have ever asked for - she was the perfect person to capture our small, intimate ceremony and reception. This was the first time we had hired a professional photographer and the process was so smooth with her. She was extremely communicative throughout everything, incredibly kind, very inclusive, an expert with poses/lighting/etc. and made us and our family and friends feel so comfortable. Our photos turned out gorgeous and fit the moody, PNW vibe I was looking for. You can tell that she puts so much work and effort into creating what your vision. Dana is amazing! -

We are so happy that we hired Dana to be our wedding photographer. Her photographs are absolutely stunning -- she has an amazing eye for light, color, and contrast. She was also a pleasure to work with -- the best combination of being present and directive when necessary, and hidden away to catch those candid shots. She made us feel completely at ease. The amount and quality of our edited photos far exceeded our expectations. She's also great with communication to make before/after the event run smoothly. I highly recommend hiring Dana to be your photographer -- I hope I have the opportunity to hire her again for another project! -

Authenticity and beauty
We can't say enough good things about our experience with Dana. It's been almost a year since our wedding and I still love flipping through the photos and reliving the little moments through the pictures. Dana wasn't afraid to experiment and capture unique candid photos that really stand out. -

You Won't Regret Hiring Dana!
We hired Dana for our special day and are so glad we did! Our wedding was on the beach in September and of course a storm rolled in!
Dana was so communicative during the process - she was watching the weather like a hawk to see when we might get a break. She saw we'd have a break in the weather mid day (vs sunset which wasn't going to happen with the storm) and was great about offering suggestions without being pushy. She truly just wanted us to have the day we had planned. We moved the ceremony up a few hours and she was ready when we were!
Having her there really helped me relax and appreciate the crazy moment.
She captured everything so perfectly and gave us so much variety in our photos, we had the hardest time selecting favorites! Months later we are still so in love with our photos and are so grateful to her and everything she did to make our day memorable. -

STUNNING! We knew from the beginning that Dana was a good choice but we were absolutely blown away by how beautiful our wedding photos turned out. Words just can’t do it justice. Dana is an absolute delight to work with and makes you feel so relaxed and comfortable. There was a perfect mix of traditional posed photos and fun candid photos. I also did a Boudoir shoot and it was beyond my expectations. Dana is a true professional and talented artist and would absolutely recommend her to anyone. -

Dana was the photographer for our intimate wedding and I am so happy with the experience. The photos are the perfect mix of serious, emotional, goofy, and fun. Authentic people person!
Wow, what a perfect fit. Dana was such a real human, which I so appreciated. It was a tiny pandemic wedding ( it was just 6 of us including Dana) in our backyard. So to have someone be part of such an intimate ceremony, having someone be authentic was so important to me. Also, DAMN good photos. I felt like a babe! -

I don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful it was to work with Dana for our wedding. She understood exactly what we were looking for. We had a very casual wedding at city hall and Dana captured our day perfectly. It was rainy and windy (thanks Seattle) but that made the photos so atmospheric and Dana caught some such special moments on camera. -

Dana was AMAZING to work with. From the very beginning, she helped us plan out the hour by hour timeline and knew exactly what we needed to make time for while answering all of our questions about what to expect the day of. Honestly, she felt like so much more than just our photographer. She even calmed me down the day of while I was getting stressed out during pictures. Love her work as well, our pictures turned out beautifully! Will definitely be using her again for family photos ect. -

Dana was the only vendor that I hired as an independent contractor rather than just going through the wedding planner. And I am so very happy I did. It's been 5 years and my heart still sings with joy for how well these shots came out. Since we had our wedding in the San Juan's we used minimal decorations and relied heavily on the beauty of the nature surrounding us and Dana did a fantastic job of tying it all together. I was particularly impressed with her ability to coach my husband on how to pose for a nice shot without forcing it. Thank you Dana! I love my photos so much! -

Dana was an absolute dream to work with. She was always early, incredibly friendly, and our photos look fantastic. Not to mention that while walking around Seattle in my wedding dress my bustle loop ripped - she was able to fix it with a needle and thread! I also did a boudoir shoot with her, and even though I was very nervous she made me feel extremely comfortable, and my husband loves the photos. I can't recommend her highly enough. -
