Josh and Dana Fernandez are absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! It was one of the first and BEST decisions we made during wedding planning. My husband and I were pleased with everything. They both go above and beyond their photography jobs!! They make you feel so comfortable, calm all the nerves, and feel like you've known them forever. They are truly an expert at wedding photography and capturing all the perfect moments. It was so fun reliving our wedding day once we received all our photos. The edits were absolutely beautiful! We could not recommend them enough!! -

If you are reading this, you must do your future selves a favor and book Josh and Dana. They are hands down the best (and one of the first) decisions we made for our wedding. I’ve never met more thoughtful and caring wedding photographers and I’ve been a bridesmaid eight, yes eight, times. Josh and Dana make you feel relaxed and at ease when being the center of attention and posing for photos is not your forte. They are extremely creative and capture moments you didn’t even know you wanted to see. We seriously cannot say enough good things about how all of the final photos from the day came out. They captured the light and joy of our day so perfectly. I stare at them randomly still even now way after our wedding day. Book Josh and Dana and thank yourself later! You won’t regret it!! -

Booking Dana Fernandez Photography was easily the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. To me, picking a photographer was the most important decision when it came to picking wedding vendors and the first time we met with Dana and Josh, we knew immediately they would be the perfect fit. They are SO easy to work with, are kind, patient and incredibly talented. Our engagement session was on a very humid day and they were so great trying to get us back into the AC quickly to cool off, but didn't take away from the time and energy spent making sure they got the best shots. My bridal portraits were so much fun. They were both so helpful and made me feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. The wedding day is where they truly shine. From the first moment I saw them, I just remember feeling so excited and grateful we chose them to capture such an important day in our lives. They go above and beyond to make sure the bride, groom and their families are happy. They are willing to offer a helping hand with any task that comes up and they did an incredible job managing such a large wedding. They were so efficient with our time between the ceremony and reception and captured incredible shots throughout the entire day that we will cherish forever. I truly believe our wedding experience would not be as wonderful as it was without Dana and Josh. We are forever grateful to them for being a part of our special day and can't wait for the opportunity to work with them again someday! -

Phenomenal Photographers & Amazing Couple!
I do not have enough picture frames in my house to print all of my favorite photos… I think that says it all! We feel so lucky to have found Josh and Dana and to have them document our wedding day. The finished product speaks for itself but it is undeniable that their talent and chemistry are the roots of their success. As a couple that was very nervous to be the center of attention, Josh and Dana were a calming presence that helped us to relax and ultimately get the candid, natural photographs that we so wanted. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for phenomenal photographers and also genuinely kind and caring people! -

After meeting with Dana and Josh, my husband and I knew right away that they were the ones that we wanted to work with on our big day. They’re so easy and comfortable to be around and they perfectly captured all of the little details of our wedding and me and my husband’s relationship with such a perfect artistic vision. We had a smaller wedding (approx. 60 guests) at a venue in Bryan, TX and all of the photos taken by Dana and Josh were exactly how we wanted to remember our big day. The prints and our wedding album were turned around in exactly the amount of time promised and they turned out beautifully. My husband and I loved working with Dana and Josh and recommend them to everyone we know. You will not be disappointed! -

Best Wedding Planning Decision
Dana and Josh were the very first vendors we picked after securing our venue and wedding date. Even before we officially booked Dana and Josh to be our wedding photographers, they began providing us with guidance in the wedding planning process.
Working with Dana and Josh was truly a pleasure. They are experts at what they do, they are extremely professional, they maintain great relationships with other vendors which helped us to nail down additional vendors and ensure coordination with those vendors went smoothly, and most importantly they deliver breathtaking and high quality pictures.
On top of being incredible photographers, Dana and Josh even stepped in to manage a small wedding-day dilemma and a bit of coordination - something that was definitely not in their job description. They went above and beyond, and we are forever grateful that they captured the most tangible memories of our special day. -

Dana was worth every penny! She and her husband/business partner, Josh, were very professional, prompt, and organized while making use of every minute to capture our engagement, bridal, rehearsal, and wedding shoots. Our engagement session took place at their beautiful property. They were extremely helpful guiding us from one pose to the next, making us look natural, when we had no idea what we were doing. Dana would shoot the session as Josh would correct every detail while cracking jokes so they could get genuine smiles out of us during the staged shoots. The way they operated made us feel really comfortable and relaxed the entire time. Not only is Dana patient but she is so sweet and cares about how you're feeling throughout your big day. If you need food before the reception, she'll find some. If you need a hug, she will turn your day around. They were both extremely responsive before, during, and after the wedding, answering any questions and just being really easy to work with. The photos came out better than we could have ever imagined but that was to be expected judging by their incredible portfolio. When we look back at our wedding day, we will forever love them for the memories they have captured. -

Hire Josh and Dana!
We found Josh and Dana through Phuong of Mibellarosa (our florist and longtime family friend) for our wedding back in January of 2020. She couldn't sing their praises enough and we are so happy that we went with them! Listen to your vendors' feedback and suggestions because they all work together to make your day the best it could be! My husband and I were a bit nervous to have professional photos taken but they made us feel so comfortable. They really do care about making your day special and creating the best experience. Josh and Dana so beautifully captured our engagement, my bridal photos and wedding day and we truly truly could not have made a better decision! These aren't just photos you're getting, it's art! Especially the styling and flatlay photos! Seriously, it's worth every penny. We could not recommend them enough and so hope to work with them again. If you choose to go with them with your wedding, I promise you, you won't regret it! -

Josh and Dana are absolutely incredible. My fiancé and I struggled for a long time to choose a wedding photographer. To us, it was one of the most important vendors for our wedding because they would be responsible for capturing the most important moments of our lives and creating the memories that we would treasure forever. We chose Josh and Dana not only because of their ability to capture beautiful, artistic photos, but because of the trust and bond that we developed with them. They are talented photographers, great at corralling bridal party and family for portraits, and at capturing the all of the best moments, including so many we didn’t even know happened until we got the photos! Oh my GOSH and these photos are just stunning!!! Just as importantly, they are so fun to be around. On the wedding day when things got stressful, Dana’s kind eyes and smile helped me feel like everything was perfect! If anything was disappointing, it was that I didn’t get to spend enough time with Josh on the wedding day, since he was with the groom! They are so fun to be around, uplifting, comforting, and their work just speaks for itself. Gorgeous. We treasure the memories that Josh & Dana captured for us.
Both Josh and Dana, and their team, are the kind of people you want around you on the most important day. We could gush about them FOREVER but honestly we recommend just stop reading reviews and BOOK THEM NOW! -

They made the entire process go so smoothly, from helping us figure out our wedding timeline to ordering our album to every single little detail in between.
Dana & Josh made our wedding day so special. They made us feel comfortable, calm, and they were completely amazing about guiding the timeline. I could rave about their personalities and professionalism forever and ever, but that doesn't even start on their AMAZING work!
From our engagement photos to my bridal portraits to our wedding photos, we're in love with every single photo. Our gallery was crafted with thoughtfulness and intentionality. I don’t know how they managed to do it, but it just seems like they were everywhere all the time at our wedding! When I go through the photos, I get to relive every sweet moment, and soak in all the details that I missed in the chaos of the day.
My husband’s father passed away unexpectedly a few months before the wedding, so we tried to add small details that recognized him throughout the day. Dana & Josh were so intentional to capture these moments so we could treasure them forever. Those photos mean so much to our family.
Dana and Josh loved us and served us so well through our engagement and into our marriage.
We’re already planning our anniversary session with them, and we’ve only been married four months - but that’s just how much we love them!! Choosing Dana & Josh as your wedding photographers is the best decision you can make for your wedding! -

We’ve been trying to gather our thoughts to write a review for Dana & Josh for awhile now, but we realized there will never be enough words to describe this amazing couple! In the early stages of wedding planning we had three photographers that we wanted to meet with. Dana & Josh were the first and only photographers we met with because we knew they were the ones when when we first met them! I loved when we were meeting with other vendors and they would ask who our photographers were and we would tell them “Dana Fernandez Photography” and it was always followed with... “Wow! I love them or their work is so beautiful!” It was so amazing to see how much their work is loved in the community. We are definitely that awkward, non-taking photo couple, but they just made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera (Josh’s jokes secretly helped haha!) Taking pictures with them felt like we were just hanging out with old friends. Our wedding day seriously wouldn’t have been the same without them. They were so much more than just photographers.
Thank you Josh & Dana for giving the world your talent! We have the most beautiful pictures to remember one of the best days of our lives. So blessed for the friendship that came out of this! -

I cannot recommend Josh and Dana enough!
The minute we started planning our wedding, we knew we had to book Dana and Josh to capture our wedding story. We had seen their work and heard of their professionalism, but our experience working with them exceeded all of our expectations. Dana and Josh are not only extremely talented and hardworking, they are also kind and down to earth. Dana and Josh stayed by our side throughout the entire day, calmed our nerves, and always reminded us to feel completely present with one another and our family and friends. Our photos from our wedding day are perfect, timeless, and tell a story with so much emotion without saying a single word. We will cherish them forever. I cannot recommend Dana and Josh enough. -

Not only did they capture our wedding day perfectly, but they also assisted us with finding the best vendors within our wedding budget, they helped us create our day of timeline and made sure everything ran smoothly. It is evident that they love what they do, even in 90 degree heat and humidity. Our wedding turned out just how I had envisioned it would, and I honestly have Dana to thank for it. I described my vision to Dana and ask for her suggestions of vendors who would best achieve what I was dreaming up. Every single one of my major vendors came from that list, and they were the dream team. The wedding was exactly how I imagined it would be, and Dana and Josh were there (early) to capture it all! The pictures are GORGEOUS. Magazine worthy. Every detail, beautifully styled shots of the tiny things I had worked so hard on... candids, formals, everything breathtaking and beautifully captured. On top of it all though, Dana was there through the whole planning process. She gave me tips and tricks and soothed my nerves many a time in the months leading up to the bid day. She truly went above and beyond. -

Dream Fine Art Photographers!
Josh and Dana Fernandez are simply the BEST! Our families were floored by the final image gallery - every single image was thoughtful and intentional. TO ANY FUTURE COUPLES OUT THERE - find yourself a photographer who can preserve the integrity of the colors, lighting and emotions of your wedding day. I have yet to see another photographer who can style details/invitations as well as Dana does (#danafernandezstyling). We were able to relive the beauty and joy of our wedding through JDF's work, and this is simply priceless. We also received the photos SO FAST - honestly were not expecting them for another month or two. Keep in mind that JDF's package options allow you to work with the them throughout your wedding process - from engagement shoots to bridals to 1 year anniversary sessions - you pick and choose what you want and it is covered in the package (you're not just getting wedding coverage). We chose the package that includes the heirloom album so we wouldn't have to stress about ordering that later. We also want to point out that JDF's timeline allowed for us to finish our main photos before ceremony even began allowing my husband and me the full cocktail hour to enjoy privately and take a breather before reception. If you still have any doubts, set up an appointment to meet with Josh and Dana in their studio! No harm in getting to know them first :) But take it from me and all the past bride reviews - JDF is a dream vendor. -

Dream Come True!
When I first saw Dana & Josh’s work from a mutual friend’s wedding, it was love at first sight. After my husband and I met them, that really sealed the deal. They are personable, passionate, and genuine, but also professional, knowledgeable and experienced. They shoot film and digital and their work is proof enough of how hard they’ve worked to have cohesiveness with both. My husband and I had never taken professional photos so we were nervous but when shooting with Dana and Josh, they make you feel so comfortable and give amazing direction so you look like super stars! It also helps that Josh is always making you laugh in the background to get those genuine smiles. Our wedding day was not without issues; they worked through the blistering heat, went through multiple location changes, and dealt with some venue related issues, and they were always all smiles and positive vibes. They were so efficient and ahead of schedule that we were even able to spend time just hanging out with them before the ceremony. Many of our guests and bridal party commented on how impressed with how hard working they were throughout the entire day. We will never be able to thank Dana & Josh enough for everything they’ve done for us. Hiring them will be the best thing you can do for your wedding! -

Choosing a photographer for our wedding was honestly an easy decision because we've seen Josh and Dana's work before. We've always admired the elegance and beauty captured within their photos, and crossed our figures that ours would look as amazing as the others. I am a pretty camera shy bride, and they helped me feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Josh would crack jokes and Dana (+Josh) would provide us tips during the shoot on body positions/poses. Instantly, my husband and I felt comfortable! They went the extra mile on our wedding day to keep up with our crazy schedule, and took photos of all the little details incorporated with our double ceremony wedding. I'm so appreciative of their dedication and hard work. When we received our proofs, our jaws dropped! The photos are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. We were able to reflect on every aspect of our wedding day through the moments that they captured. All the moments were well thought out, organized, and the photos told the story of our special day. Linda Sent on 11/04/2014Dana Fernandez is probably one of THE BEST natural light photographers in the Houston area. Her work is AMAZING. She is super sweet, easy to work with, pleasant and affordable! I met her initially through a mutual friend and after getting to know each other, the sessions were personal. It was nice to know she could get the photos to match your style, personality, and relationships. She has a very creative mind and uses that to capture unforgettable moments. I used her for my engagements, bridals, boudoir AND wedding day! She'll capture what you want and will also surprise you with certain shots you normally wouldn't think of, or to be 'good', and the end results be incredible! The woman knows what she's doing and is not afraid to think outside the box, which is one of the main reasons I love her. I love that she'd keep me informed, send reminders well ahead of time, and she's also quick to follow-up post-session. I never had to worry about not receiving my photos or products on time. She was very dependable and everything was done in a timely manner. She went from being just a mutual friend to becoming a great friend of my husband and I, and we would definitely recommend her to friends, family, and acquaintances! Can't wait to work with her again!
