Planning a destination wedding is difficult. You must trust in various reviews and images and 'hope' that they hold true. You must trust your instincts in the various interactions that you have with your planner via email or skype that they in fact have what it takes and that their recommendations are on point. Long and short, I am happy I did all of the above and believed in Dan Sauer's portfolio, vision and professionalism. We were quite concerned coming to our wedding day that we wouldn't have what it takes to be photogenic, find the right scenery or get the right sunlight, but with the coordination between Dan and our wedding planner (Italian Wedding Event), the execution of our wedding was pristine. Once confirming Dan, he reached out to us almost immediately to introduce himself, provide a timeline of planning / what to expect and was prompt on our beautiful day. Dan offered comfort, did not intrude and was able to capture angles and moments where I never even noticed him. I look back at his pictures and he captured every minute. I will be able to look as these photos when I am old and gray and remember every moment. We could not be more thankful than to have had him as our photographer. Trust in Dan's professionalism, creative ability and passion for the camera.

All that you want in your wedding photographer

Dan is professional, kind, and wildly talented. My husband and I are fairly shy people, but he made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole day. He is so calm, patient, and respectful. He knows exactly the best shots to take. We were amazed by all of our pictures and cannot recommend him enough. His photos are breathtaking!

Dan is such an awesome photographer. I love his dramatic photos. He was willing to capture anything I wanted and I valued his input on what he wanted to photograph. He worked around certain shots that we needed. He was by our side every moment. I recommend Dan for any photography needs

Dan Sauer Photography is worth every penny! Our beautiful day was incredibly immortalized by Dan's incomparable eye. He has so many unique tricks up his sleeve to create the most breathtaking photos. The quality of the photos left me speechless! (Do yourself a favor and purchase the photo album! Trust me!) Not only does he have remarkable talent, but he is so kind and personable. He created a safe space for us to feel empowered and excited on our day. As the bride, I felt comfortable and grounded having Dan by my side and we have the photos to prove his excellence. My husband, Sean, and I could not be happier!

He was the photographer for my sisters wedding and did a wonderful job and was the photographer for my wedding and was a above and beyond! His work is beautiful and very talented. He understands what moments are important to capture. Also, Danny has a very calm patient personality that is really nice to have on the day of your hectic wedding. So grateful we chose him in every way!

Dan is so much more than a photographer - he is a storyteller and an artist. Not only is he extremely skilled in what he does, but he goes above and beyond in order to create a great experience with exceptional work to match. I used Dan for a portrait shoot and the pictures that came out of that session were better than I could have ever expected. It's hard to find an event and portrait photographer as detail oriented and as editorially artistic as he is. I highly recommend him if you're looking for personalized photography that goes against the cliche grain.

Dan Sauer is a extraordinary photographer with an exquisite eye for detail in all of his shots. He was able to capture so many touching moments during my wedding day, and I cannot imagine getting better photos from anyone else. You truly will have a top notch experience if you choose him as your photographer, and he will make sure to get every detail of your day in your photos. He is top notch, and I cannot wait to book him for other photo sessions!

Danny did a phenomenal job taking photos of my girlfriend and I. It was a truly wonderful experience. He is flexible, easy going, yet gives you direction on how to look best. Not only that but he is encouraging through the shoot and takes your ideas and thoughts into consideration. He is a professional and a gifted photographer. I will most certainly be using him again.

Dan Sauer was by far the best photographer I have ever worked with! Not only was he highly professional, but his personality made it a fun experience and easy for me and my wife to show our personalities in our photographs. He was also great at working with us individually and as a couple - my wife was nervous about how to pose in the pictures and Dan was able to be directive with her, while less directive with myself, showing great flexibility.

One thing that stood out to us was his expertise, which pervaded the whole process. It was both apparent while working with us personally and shined through in the final product. We'll also never forget how Dan went above and beyond, staying with us a little longer to take the perfect pictures of us with the sunset in the background. We look forward to working with Dan in the future to capture the precious moments that we experience as our family continues to grow.

Dan is AMAZING! Besides his great talent and the beautiful photos he took of my fiancé and I, he was very flexible and respectful of our desires and what we were looking for our photos. He also helped us figure out the perfect scenery, how to get the best poses, and even suggested an activity that my fiancé enjoys (riding bikes), for us to feel more comfortable in a natural environment. Overall we had so much fun and I love looking back at the photos and remember the photo shoot day haha! I truly admire Dan's work and dedication, so I recommend him 150%!

Dan took family portraits for us shortly after my daughter was born. He had a great deal of patience working with a newborn which I very much appreciated as a new mom. We love the photos he took of our family and would certainly use him again in the future!

Dan took newborn portraits and family ones. He is kind and professional as well as attuned to my son's age(newborn temperament) and my families time. My family and I were very pleased with the photos from my bridal shoot with Dan Sauer. Always polite and professional, Dan was a pleasure to work with and made sure I received my bridal portrait in time to display it at the wedding. Even more impressive, however, was the work itself. A master of lighting and form, Dan is classically trained in fine art, and the images he shot for me reflect that training: his work is "part Caravaggio, part old Hollywood glamour," my husband declared approvingly after seeing the portraits. Dan has an eye for beautiful backgrounds, and -- a true artist -- he carefully arranges his subjects before each portrait setting. Though his business is new, Dan has the skill of an old master. These are images to be passed on for generations.

Dan was great to work with for our engagement shoot. He took us around to some places that we suggested but then took the creative reigns from there. He found poses and places to shoot that we hadn't thought of before and we loved what he did with the pictures! Everything was very natural. We were very comfortable working with Dan.

Dan Sauer was the model of professionalism and classiness. We absolutely loved the dramatic photos he shot of us at our wedding.
