    A fabulous experience

    I heard of Dala’s before I was seriously looking for my wedding dress. They were the second shop I went too. I loved the feeling of being in this store, the friendliness of the staff. I love that they were there to help me and make sure each step of the road was token care of. Even if you don’t find the dress of your dreams, give them a chance to show you what it is like to go to a small town store. It is an experience I think everyone should try.

    After several less than enjoyable experiences wedding dress shopping local to Columbia, we visited Dala's bridal and had a great experience. Tracey was the consultant that helped me, speaking to me first about my style preferences and what I might be looking for (and what I wasn't) and then bringing in several options to try on. I ended up going with the first dress I tried on and as it was my size and a new dress to their collection, I didn't have to order my dress!

    One of the things that really impressed us was their vast knowledge about wedding dresses and how to alter them appropriately. I have an hour-glass figure with a large bust, and I wanted to be able to sit down in my gown, which made me think that I couldn't have a fitted gown through the waist. Dala's was the first place that had simple answers and help for both of these problems. Tracey said that to sit in a fitted gown you just pulled it up at the hips and when you stand the weight of the dress would pull it back into place. Other places just said 'Awww, yeah, I guess you can't wear a dress like that if you want to sit down'. Worked perfectly and I wore a fit-and-flare style gown for my wedding, sitting comfortably, and often.

    For fitting, all of the other dress shops suggested taking the dresses in at the side, to fit it to my waist, but never suggested any alteration that would flatter (or make it comfortable) for my bust. Yolanda walked in and immediately said, 'Oh, you just take these seams in under the bust, no problem!' So yes - much more knowledgeable about dresses and how to alter them.

    It was clear, during the fittings, that Yolanda had a lot of experience. Adding straps and a little more material in the front was no problem for them and made my dress that much more comfortable for me. It was fitted so perfectly that I ended up not even wearing a bra or any kind of support wear, which was wonderful! My dress was beautiful and I felt beautiful in it.

    Wonderful experience! I purchased my bridal gown along with all bridesmaid dresses from Dala's Bridal for my October wedding. Tracey and Yolanda assisted me through choosing the perfect bridal gown to making sure it fit perfectly. Their knowledge and customer service is impeccable. I would definitely use Dala's Bridal again and highly recommend their services to anyone!

    Dala's is a great place to find a wedding dress! I live in Washington DC but am getting married in Missouri, so I thought I'd definitely find my dress in the DC metro with all the plus size wedding boutiques. But that wasn't the case. I tried on what seemed like hundreds of gowns and didn't fall in love with any of them. However, when I visited my parents one weekend in Missouri, my mom took me to Dala's. The shop was unassuming and appeared small, and I doubted they had many options for plus size girls...until I got inside. The staff was kind, helpful, and picked out six different dresses for me to try on. When I stepped into the third dress, I fell in love. From that point on, Dala's had my heart. Through a series of fittings, last minute appointment calls from DC, and a bra fiasco (I had to take the dress to get fitted for a bra and return it), the staff took good care of me. They were professional, flexible, and bent over backward to ensure the dress was perfect for my day. I highly recommend Dala's for any formal event!

    Dala's Bridal Boutique was by far the most wonderful part of my dress shopping experience. Although I did not end up purchasing my dress through Dala because I live several hours from the boutique, my experiences in her store are by far the most memorable of the months leading up to my wedding. When I think back on my days of wedding preparations, my favorite memories will be the ones that Dala made possible. She made the experience of shopping for a wedding dress everything it should be. My bridesmaids and I had so much fun shopping for my dress, and Dala had excellent advice for me concerning colors for my wedding party. I would highly recommend her boutique to anyone without reservation!

    I wanted to have the "bridal" experience, but I also didn't want to be told I look good in something I didnt', just so an associate could have "a sale". Dalas staff is professional, caring, thoughtful and honest. My appointments have always been wonderful and they take time to listen and meet your needs. I have my dream dress and the price was reasonable. I enjoy each time I go. I got my bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dresses there as well. You feel special when you work with someone at Dala"s. They know this is one of the most important dresses you will ever wear and they want you to feel beautiful and know you picked the right dress.

    Dala's is a big bridal shoppe in a small town. I wouldn't even have known about it unless my grandmother had mentioned it, but I am so glad she did. The staff at Dala's are absolutely wonderful! They had a larger selection of dresses to try on than any other place I visited. My bridal consultant was so attentive and was clearly dedicated to making sure I found the perfect gown. I tried on gowns for about 3 hours before I found the perfect one, and she was there the entire time--patiently suggesting gowns and helping me make my final decision. Dala's has an alterations person in-house who made sure my dress fit perfectly and that my mom and made of honor knew exactly how to bustle my dress. Dala's made my wedding gown and my wedding day perfect!

    I ordered my wedding gown and my bridesmaids dresses, and bought my cake knife/server, ring bearer pillow and flower girl basket from Dala's. They have hundreds of wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses in stock, as well as a wide selection for mothers of brides. They have a line of men's formal wear, lots of jewelry at very reasonable prices, and many miscellaneous items like unity candles, ring bearer pillows, and guest books. The staff at Dala's are so friendly, too! They were very helpful and professional and I never felt like just a customer.

    Dala's was one of two bridal boutiques in the state of Missouri that sold the dress I wanted. I found the dress before I found Dala's and am lucky to have found such a great place! They were so friendly, especially Tracey. She was very patient with me when I stood in my dress for an hour the first time in awe. Because of the drive to the shoppe, I tended to be off on my appointments. They were usually ready to accommodate. But since I was doing all of my dress fittings right at prom season, I felt put in the back seat for a few visits. But I found a unique dress that I absolutely loved and they did great alterations. The price was also 400 dollars cheaper then what I originally found it as, and they gave it to me for a bit less because there was a store in my hometown that would order it for about 50 dollars cheaper then what Dala's was selling it as. They matched the price, which I appreciate!

    Dalas Bridal Boutique is definitely the place to go in Central Missouri for your wedding dress! Tracy did a fantastic job getting a feel for what styles I liked and I ended up buying the first dress I tried on! Everyone there is very professional and helpful! Having my mother and aunt both using Dalas Bridal for their weddings over 25 years ago, we have made it a family tradition! Our wedding day was beautiful with all the bridesmaids dresses, wedding dress, and accessories from Dalas. Thank you so much!!

    Dala's had the perfect gown for me. I went in and she asked what I was looking for. I went to pick out a few dresses to try on and she went to get some she thought I would like. I ended up buying one she had picked for me. They have a great selection & great prices. My gown was only $480. The veil & headpiece I bought were awesome as well. They did all my alterations at a great price. I highly recommend going to Dala's!

    I highly recommend Dala's Bridal to anyone and everyone from a Bridal Gown, Mom's dress, Bridesmaid, Prom they have it all!!! This is truely a one stop Bridal Boutique. My consultant became my bestfriend Nan knew exactly what I was looking for I went in with an idea of what I thought I wanted and she suggested I try on one more gown!!!! I loved it Thank You, Nan

    After my mother, a few friends, and thier mothers all got their wedding dresses there, I knew I had to at least look at dresses there. They are the 'it' place to go in central missouri for wedding dresses. They have been around for a long time. I was very pleased with the lady who helped with my appointment. After looking at me and me telling her a basic look I wanted, she went and pulled a few different styles. After choosing the right style for my body we then talked about if I wanted lace, beading, etc. I felt like she wasn't just trying to make a sale, but was really wanted to make sure I liked and was comfortable in what I got. She was very honest yet polite about the way they looked on me. I was super excited when I found 'the dress' only after trying on a handful of dresses. And to make it even better, it cost half of what we had budgeted for it! I felt like I got a super deal on a high quality dress.
    They also have a large selection on brides maid dresses there too and reasonable prices. My bridesmaids loved their dresses too.
    I did have some trouble with booking appointments. After booking an appoinment months in advance, I got a call a week before saying that they had to cancel because people were going to be gone and we had to reschedule. I felt like they could have been more professional/organized with 1- just not scheduling me or 2- calling me sooner after the mistake since it is super hard getting 6 people to together for a fitting in a small window of time.
    I did not get my dress altered there so I can't really say how they are with that. (My mother in law is a seamstress and wanted to do it)
    All in all I am happy that I went there to get a dress. I got an amazing dress that was at a great price!

    Dalas Bridal did not have the selection or variety i was looking for when it came to buying my dress. The salesgirl made inappropriate comments about my body and was very rude about my personal style choices.

    Had a difficult time with this vender - have heard others who loved their experience! Could be a case by case situation - flexibility was an issue!

    Avoid at all costs

    This was my worst nightmare. I will never give them any business or refer them to anyone. The consultant brought me dresses too small and I couldn't even get an idea of how they looked. I was so embarrassed in front of my mom and sisters. The consultant then brought even smaller sizes and told me outright that it I wouldn't be able to fit into it. Then she brought me a dress out of my price range but still wouldn't fit. I spoke with Yolanda today and she made excuses about my price range and my size and styles I chose...they asked me for ideas and I showed them my pinterest board but wasn't set on anything. I said that they could have shown me dresses that actually fit out of my price range with similar styles, but they never offered that. I left the store and broke into tears in my car. No apology from the consultant and basically "I'm sorry you feel this way, but our store obviously is not for you". Awful people who don't care at all.

    FYI. I found a dress elsewhere. I had a hard time getting over my experience here, but I found people who actually cared and wanted me to feel beautiful. I even spent over my budget, so screw you Dala's. You're horrible people, especially for not getting an appropriate apology.

    1st visit = red carpet. 2nd visit = YOLANDA
    Bottom line: they'll treat you like royalty to get the sale, but be warned: you'd better be 100% happy with what you buy from them, 'cause they won't be so warm and fuzzy the next time. Should you find that the dress is disappointing for whatever reason: On your return visit to seek help and request a fair exchange for a dress of equal value, they'll make you wait several minutes then have you put the dress back on in their spare changing closet. Regardless of how many technical problems you can point out on the dress, they'll stop you to ask you if the wedding was cancelled just in case you're trying to con them, and then make you wait another 10 minutes. Next they send Yolanda out to the showroom floor tell you in a very loud voice (she's either hard of hearing or trying to intimidate you) that you're wrong about where your waistline is and how tight the dress feels; the dress is perfect but you can pay them to alter it or go somewhere else. There will be no sympathy or reassurances. Yolanda will spew red-letter deflection language at you such things as "you made a commitment to this dress when you ordered it" (like you're adopting a child), "it's industry standard" that we're stuck with the dress (even though David's Bridal would have allowed us to trade one of their own dresses for store credit if it was problematic) and she'll even say "you tried on the exact same dress before you ordered it" - even though the dress they had in the store for you to try on was several sizes larger, a different color and short-skirted. Then, if you decide not to spend half again the cost of the dress itself to have this boutique correct it for you, you'll leave close to tears having to eat the cost of the dress and start over somewhere else. At least that's how the whole thing went for us. Maybe you'll have a better experience.
