We had so much fun at our Dairy Barn wedding this summer! Every space was beautiful and easy to set up, and we were given plenty of time the night before, afternoon of, and morning after to set up/tear down. Executive Director Leah was very prompt and accommodating when we wanted to view the space or ask questions and was on site all day during the wedding. The brick driveway and large trees makes for a perfect outdoor ceremony backdrop, and our guests loved being able to view the gallery exhibit and sit on the patio during cocktail hour. Chairs for outdoor ceremonies are not included, but DB coordinates easily with local rental companies. We had about 95 guests and had our reception upstairs in the AEP wing. For that number, there was plenty of room for all of our round tables and the catering tables, and we still had space for a large dance floor. If a large dance space is one of your priorities, too, I wouldn't recommend much more than 100 guests in this space (even though it can hold up to 150). The twinkling lights all over the ceiling and back wall provided the perfect amount of light all night and we didn't do any additional decorating besides flowers on the tables.

Leah and her experienced team where easy to work with, and helped us immensely with the planning of our reception. The location is beautiful, and the layout worked perfectly. If we where to do this over again, we would not change a thing!

I am so happy that my fiance and I found the Dairy Barn. Cassie, the events manager, is so accommodating and communicative. She allowed us to reserve two dates for our wedding until we find out when OU's homecoming will be, and she responds to email same day or next day. She provided us a list of vendors that they work with frequently, which was super helpful as we live out of town. Being able to rely on her to answer my questions has been such a relief! The venue itself is perfect if you are looking to have an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception at a shared location. It has a rustic yet modern feel. It is also right next to the OU Inn, which makes accommodating out of town guests a breeze. We also appreciate that they are working to implement a zero waste policy. I can't wait to get married here!

The Dairy barn is a beautiful place to get married! Very economical, with a quaint yet clean country feel. When you rent the barn you rent the grounds as well (unless they have a planned event, in which case you work around it or pick a different date). Their coordinator is very nice and very thorough. One reception hall, the AEP Wing, already has Christmas lights strung across the ceiling and you can just plug in and go! Their back grounds have outlets installed so you can have a sound system if your wedding is outside.

My original plan was to have the wedding no the grounds and proceed inside for the reception. It was so rainy and humid that we ended up moving the wedding inside with the reception. But the day turned out to be a beautiful one none the less.

Great service. Safe and flexible during the pandemic. They made what seemed may be impossible happen for our special day!

They location seemed very flexible up front but as the time came closer to the reception, there were more rules that kept appearing. She was great at communication and was very friendly! The grounds are beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful. It is a little pricey but SOOO worth it! Perfect places for photography. The only downside to this was I had to go with their catering service- or I had to pay a huge fee to use my own caterer that was certified.

If you are looking to get married in Athens, there aren’t many options for an elegant venue. The Dairy Barn offers beautiful scenery and the option the have the ceremony either inside or outside. The rental rate comes with some helpful amenities such as tables, chairs, a bar, space for a cocktail hour, and access to a full kitchen for a caterer. However, they do not have services to set up the room so expect to recruit family and friends for some heavy lifting. Although my experience with the Dairy Barn was ok overall, there were some aspects that were VERY disappointing. I felt lied to about some of the amenities we had access to. For example, I was told that the bridesmaids would have space to get ready before the ceremony and was even shown a large room for that purpose. The day of the wedding, though, they had booked an art class in that room and gave us a tiny closet to use instead. I was not issued a refund or even an apology for the mix up.
