Best band ever!

We booked D’ivine play for our wedding after hearing raving reviews from friends and family that had heard them at another wedding and they did not disappoint! They were absolutely amazing. The lead vocals were out of this world. My husband and I could not thank them enough after the reception. They were interactive with the crowd and kept people on the dance floor all night. So many guests asked me about them afterwards and could not give enough compliments. If you are looking for a band for a wedding or event this is THE band. I wish I could give them 100 stars. The manager was also easy to get in touch with and answered all my questions. And they send out a questionnaire for preferences and followed every request I had! Thank yall again! Y’all made our wedding night unforgettable!!

Do not hesitate to book this band!!

We had D'ivine Play at our wedding reception 5-18-24 and WOW. They were absolutely incredible! The biggest compliment we have gotten about our wedding was the band. They kept the crowd going for hours! Not to mention, every band member was SO KIND. Communication was also very efficient throughout the whole wedding planning process! We would 100% would recommend this band!!!

The best wedding band in NOLA

My wife is a wedding planner and knew they were the right band. When it came time for OUR wedding they were even better than expected. Our guests still talk about this band and how great of a wedding it was largely thanks to them!

Made the entire night!

Had these guys play on 4/15/23. I cannot express how awesome this band was. We hired them for ceremony music (3 string instruments), second line, happy hour jazz band and reception band.

Ceremony music- We chose pretty eclectic music for ceremony music and the strings played an incredible cover.

Second line- absolutely perfect, set up the police escort for us.

Happy Hour Jazz performer- Honestly we didn't get to see this but we were told it was very nice.

Reception Band- Absolute highlight of the night! They had sent us a questionnaire months ahead of time for us to fill out and these guys were absolute pros. Once we submitted we weren't quite sure what to think because they didn't have a lot of questions or concerns. Well the worry immediately fell away during the first dance. Once again we requested an eclectic first dance and the band did a better cover than anything we could find on youtube. The band knew how to handle the crowd from the start. They got the guests dancing immediately and their second set which they started after everyone was done eating was incredible and such high energy! It was less of a set and more of a jam session. Every song rolled into the next and the range of music they performed was incredible. Their wide range of singers nailed every song and they even crushed a few of our requested rap songs. I've gotten countless comments since the wedding about how great this band was and I absolutely agree. They absolutely made the entire party. My wife's sister is getting marred next year and she already has this band booked. Cannot go wrong with D Play!

Wedding reception band

This band was awesome. My goal as mother of the bride was to keep the dance floor packed and everyone having a great time. They truly delivered! Communication before event on our song choices was exceptional. This band is Epic!

D Play - Wedding Band

We hired D Play for our wedding and couldn’t have been happier! They were amazing and all of our guests kept telling us in the days after that it was the best wedding band they had ever seen. The dance floor was packed the whole time and we owe it all to the band!

I promise you will be told by your guests that this is the best wedding band they’ve seen/heard. D’play is just incredible! Johnny and team were very easy to work with, they learned songs for the ceremony/reception/special dances and kept the energy up the entire night.

Incredible & Unforgettable

To say DPlay is just a band is an understatement. They truly made our night unforgettable! John and his team are professional, friendly, and SO incredibly talented. They aren't just playing songs - they are singing, dancing, interacting with the crowd, and keeping the energy lively and fun all night long. They even played two special request songs for our first dance and father/daughter dance. Having live music made those moments even more special. There was not a single person in their seats when the band was playing! I keep rewatching videos reminiscing on the best night of my life with the best music in NOLA! All of my guests were blown away and had so much fun. 10/10 - gold stars across the board. Book them now! It's been almost 8 months since my wedding and all of my guests still talk about how incredible DPlay was! Our wedding would not have been the same without them.

Best band ever!

THE BEST BAND I COULD HAVE ASKED FOR! I mean they were incredible! They were so lively, and a hit for all ages! They even sang a song in remembrance of my late mother and sang "Sweet Beverly" instead of "Sweet Caroline." It meant soo much! Also, one of the members even did splits and they did choregraphed dances! They even sent my a long song list and asked what I wanted to play!

Best wedding band ever!

BEST WEDDING BAND EVER! We are blown away by how amazing D’Play was for our wedding reception. The most important thing we wanted for our wedding was a packed dance floor and a fun band, and that is exactly what we got with this band! Planning a wedding during COVID and being unable to see the band live beforehand was something we were nervous about, but D’Play truly outplayed our expectations! Everyone you talked to at our wedding could not stop talking about the band and how amazing and high energy they were! We loved how engaging they were with the crowd and kept the party upbeat all night long! No question about it, this is the band you need to book for your wedding or private event, they will not disappoint!!!!

It worked out perfectly!

Our wedding was rescheduled 4 times bc of covid. Our original band could not accomidate the 4th date so we redirected to D-Play and boy was that a blessing in disguise bc they rocked it! Our guests were on the dance floor all night having a blast bc they were so captivating! Everyone raved about how badass the band was! They have their own special flair! Dancing while singing and getting down with the guests. The sound was on point with the lights. It was like a concert! They were terrific! I'd def hire them again for any occasion! Thanks to our wedding planner Maria Maginnis with In Nola Events & Design, your recommendation was spot on for what we wanted for our entertainment! Thank you so much!!!

Incredible.

Wow - I'm not sure where to start because D"ivine" Play exceeded our expectations! We got the 8 piece dance package which was not the "biggest" package, so my one concern was that it wouldn't be enough to get everyone on the dance floor - I was TOTALLY wrong. The 8 piece package was INCREDIBLE - the three singers danced choreographed dances together and I thought I was there 4th members because I never left the dance floor. We wanted a band that would keep us and our guests on the dance floor, and they delivered exactly what we wanted - they have you fill out a questionnaire regarding what type of music you want, specific things you like - and they literally delivered exactly what I wanted! Second thing - the ENERGY they brought to the stage had people on the dance floor that I never would have thought would have danced -which is what I wanted and asked for! They deliver on whatever you specifically want.

They also were very kind, polite, and were not high maintenance or demanding which we appreciated. I have not one negative thing to say. I would book them time and time again. Highly recommend.

Wedding Success!

D Play was AWESOME! From the beginning, John made the process very easy. Due to Covid, we actually had to re-schedule to a third date. Finally, DPlay got to perform and far exceeded our expectations. Our guest were on the dance floor the entire night! Even those not dancing, enjoyed the performance! So much energy and fun! Wide variety of songs. All singers were top notch. Highly recommend!

Great Wedding Band!

D'Play was AWESOME!!!! I have so many good things to say about the band, D'Play. First of all, they are a fun, party band who kept our guests on the dance floor the whole time! My emails were handled quickly and professionally. They went the extra mile to customize our playlist for the wedding. We added ceremony music, just a few weeks before the wedding and I was nervous about that, but they really did an amazing job, providing just the right sound and vibe for the wedding. "Best Wedding Band EVER" was the resounding praise that all of our guests gave us throughout our wedding and in the days following. I am still on Cloud 9 from how much fun I had dancing with my now husband and all of our friends and family. There wasn't a single moment where our dance floor was not filled. Daughter's Wedding

"The Best Band". We loved DPlay. The guests at our daughter's wedding are still raving about how great they were. Many have commented that this was the best wedding they had ever attended. The musicians and singers are incredibly talented. Their appearance is visually stunning. They can play any genre and kept the dance floor full all night. Savior during COVID-19

John has been an absolute blessing to work with! We were so excited to book DPlay for our wedding, but COVID-19 had other plans. John was a saving grace in rescheduling with us quickly while all other details were up in the air. He responded to my panicked emails ASAP and offered so much advice in navigating this craziness. The most amazing band we could have ever hoped for!

D Play was absolutely amazing!!! They had such high energy all night, and truly kept EVERYONE out on the dance floor throughout the entire evening. You hardly ever saw any of our guests sitting down, and that's exactly how we dreamed of it being at our wedding. We are still getting compliments from friends and guests saying how this was the greatest band they have ever seen! We didn't have any specific requests, but the set list they came up with on their own was fantastic. It was the perfect mix of upbeat oldies and all the newest hits you hear on the radio! Wow! D play, an all-around experience!

"The best wedding band I have ever seen and heard!" - All that our wedding guests could say at our reception and second line in New Orleans in October 2019. Long story short, D Play knows how to put on a show. They brought the house down with talented vocalists, high energy, lots of brass, and plenty of moves. My wife and I could not be happier that we chose D Play to keep our 250+ guests grooving all night. After the reception, their brass band led us through the streets and absolutely crushed it. John, the band manager, made sure to answer all of our questions and requests, even the nit-picky ones. You can tell he cared that we have the best experience possible. The band learned a few extra songs for us and even changed up their playlist on the fly the night of the reception. I would recommend D Play to anyone who is looking for a band that knows how to keep the crowd loose and engaged, and to turn up the party. We all had a blast. Thanks John and D Play!

We chose D Play for our wedding on 4/20/19 at Felicity Street Church, and we were blown away by this band! From the first song, our guests were on the dance floor! Overall, John the manager was very easy to work leading up to our wedding. We truly loved this band and our guests raved about them. The best wedding band ever!! They met with us early on and understood our music vision! Great horn section, and the lead female singers were enthusiastic, beautiful, and spunky. The band played funk songs for the Mardi Gras Indians, who made an appearance at the end of the wedding. Everything about D Play was perfect!! Thank you for making our reception so amazing!

D Play Blew me Away!- Best Wedding Band in NOLA!

I had been to a lot of weddings in New Orleans and heard all of the typical popular bands that you typically see at weddings and events. Me and my husband wanted someone different, so we selected D Play! I went into the wedding never hearing them play other than seeing a few videos online. They were absolutely amazing! Great energy from everyone in the band! When Emily comes off the stage with the crowd it totally changes the energy of the room! I wish I could give them 10 stars because they are one of the reasons that my wedding was so much fun! Best wedding band in NOLA!

They were professional, organized and most importantly the best band ever! They were on the dance floor with everyone interacting with the crowd. The music was amazing and they kept the crowd going until midnight! They were especially accommodating when it came to learning songs we requested and helped us surprise the groom with a special guest (Bully from MSU!). Can’t say enough great things about this band, definitely recommend hiring for your wedding day!

DPlay is the best band in NOLA

I’m a firm believer that the music is at least 60% of what makes a wedding fun and enjoyable. Sara and I didn’t just want to have a great wedding, we wanted it to be unforgettable. I’ve got to be honest, DPlay absolutely crushed it! From a business acumen standpoint, John was very responsive via email and phone. He also made time to meet with us when we came into NOLA from Chicago.

At the reception, they played everything from Drake and Rihanna to John Legend and Justin Timberlake. Their song list is very long and extremely diverse so they can tailor the music to any crowd. They also have a tremendous feel for the audience and what types of songs everyone is into. I really enjoyed how they were interactive with the guests and singing on the dance floor.

There were multiple times during the start of certain songs when our guests were losing their minds and so excited about what song they were playing. After the reception, everyone raved about DPlay and how that was the most fun they’ve had at a wedding and that our band was incredible.

If you have a younger crowd that likes hip hop, then DPlay is the band you need to hire. If you care for more traditional wedding music, but you want it to be a lively atmosphere, hire DPlay.

DPlay exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t thank them enough for making our wedding the best night ever.

Amid a hurricane, D Play delivered BIG TIME

When there's a hurricane barreling toward your wedding, it's good to have wedding vendors who are reassuring, calming, and whose first question is "what can I do to help?" John with D Play was exactly the person we needed to navigate us through a tremendously difficult week as Hurricane Michael made landfall. John stayed in touch, helped troubleshoot, sourced extra generators (since power was out in the area), and kept us comfortable. John and the rest of D Play showed up ready to party. We had an uncertain week with the storm and all of the re-routing we had to do for our guests (all who ended up staying northwest of where they had originally intended, due to the aforementioned power outages, and inability to fly into ECP). Throughout the night, people kept coming up wondering where we'd found D Play, and raving about how good they were. D Play is authentic, full of talent, and they went far beyond the call of duty to make our wedding so special. You'd be lucky to have them perform for you. We were.

This post is 3 months late and I mention that because it's been 3 months since our reception and I am STILL getting compliments that we had the BEST band at our wedding. If you want to make sure your reception doesn't stop dancing then D Play are your guys. From contract to concert, John has been a great point of contact to make sure they did everything that we wanted. From genres to specific song requests, it was like they were in my head knowing exactly what we wanted to hear as the night went on. They feed off the crowd, dance with the crowd, and are just flat out killer musicians. We decided to add an additional horn which of course brought their dynamic to another level. I had heard them at 2 previous weddings which is why they were at the top of the list for who we wanted. And they simply just keep getting better and better every time they perform. Do yourself a favor if you want to have a reception that everyone keeps talking about and book D Play!

John & his team were so great and easy to work with. They did our ceremony music, second line, cocktail reception, and wedding reception. They even DJed the last hour for us! Honestly, to find a band that is so versatile and SO GOOD at what they do is priceless. It made everything really easy on us. D Play played for our daughter's wedding on Saturday, June 30th, and when I tell you there was not a dance floor big enough to hold the amount of people who wanted to get up and dance, that is NO LIE! The night began when part of the band met us at St. Patrick's to do a 2nd line from St. Patrick's to the Federal Ballroom. Totally AWESOME experience and PURE New Orleans! The passerby's had their phones out videoing and photographing the huge wedding party! When we got to the venue and the band started, it was SO packed on the dance floor that I had to contact the manager of the Federal Ballroom to ask her where the GOBO was that I ordered for the wedding because I couldn't see it! She said that I didn't see it because the dance floor was never EMPTY --- it was on the DANCE FLOOR!!!! She showed it to me - thank goodness she took a photo of it BEFORE the wedding started, otherwise I would have never seen it! When I tell you there isn't one song from ANY era that this band couldn't play, I'm not kidding. The more the crowd got jazzed up (and this crowd was pretty wild), the more the band played to them! What an AWESOME night! If you have not heard of this band OR seen them in person, check out their schedule and GO SEE THEM and book them for your event ASAP! They are worth EVERY penny and MORE! Johnny and his group are punctual, responsible, communicative, reasonable, and very professional. We love you D Play!!! YOU ROCK and you made our kids wedding the best ever! The guests couldn't stop asking, "WHO IS THE BAND? THEY ARE AWESOME!" I think you may be getting a lot of business from our guests soon! DPlay was mindblowingly amazing and turned our wedding into the epic party we always wanted. They also made us feel really special throughout. Towards the end of the reception, they brought us on stage and we felt like the King and Queen. DPlay also led our second line and they made the transition from the stage to the street extremely seamless. They were also incredible on the second line and it was pretty powerful to have such a huge band lead our parade through the streets of New Orleans. We had requested a tuba and they were able to also get a tuba to join the band for the second line portion which was awesome. After it was all over, our guests could not stop talking about how amazing the band was.

If you want to guarantee your reception will be the best dance party you have ever been to, hire D Play RIGHT NOW! Choosing the right band was very important to my husband and I. We considered all of the big name bands in the Nola area. Once we saw D Play preform at Boomtown, we knew we had to choose them! They have a special talent for getting crowds of all ages on the dance floor. They know how to read the crowd and they fill the room with incredible energy. In addition, Johnny was tremendously accommodating, always professional, and such a pleasure to work with. Even our venue was excited to have D Play come because they are simply the best. (Our venue waived the fee since they love the band so much.) D Play offered to learn 3 songs for us but they already knew all of our favorites! Hiring D Play was the best choice we made. My husband and I danced the entire time and so did our guests. Some of our friends have already hired D Play for their wedding! Our family is desperately trying to find another excuse to hire them. I know how frustrating it can be to work with a budget but skip the flowers or something because there really is no substitute for the good time D Play will bring!

D Play was the MOST amazing wedding band for our wedding and the best we have seen at any wedding (not to be biased!). From their energy, professionalism, communication throughout, to the night of the wedding- I would hire them again and again. All of our guests told us how awesome our band was and that they were the BEST wedding band they've ever seen. We got married December 2, 2017 and still have people talking about the band! D Play is so upbeat and they had the crowd dancing all night. Their singers are incredible as well as all of the musicians. Their song list that they know is like a book... I think they know every song possible! Also, my husband's favorite thing about the band was how they transition songs. They can play an oldie to a new song or a slow to an upbeat and it is such a smooth transition. There were no awkward silences and they could mix all types of songs so that every age group had fun! They are truly so talented. We hired the regular band, added the horns, and added another lead female singer and it really created a master piece! I think it would be great without the add-ons but if you really want to have an impressive band, I would add them all. It was so worth the extra money! The band was having as much fun with us and all of the guests and I was so happy to have people who love what they do to perform for our wedding and have fun with us! DPlay were incredible. They sorted out the 2nd line band for us, took care of the license and police escort and it was the most surreal and incredible experience of our life.

The band kicked ass. They had the whole party up dancing including our older family members.

A month on people are still talking about DPlay and many people said they were the best and most fun band they have ever seen.

John was great and easy to communicate with. Took all the stress away from us.

D-Play had an extensive playlist that appealed to our guests of all ages. They were dressed to impress and their performance was energetic and fun. They came with everything in the way of lighting, staging, and anything else we could possibly want or need. We are fans of strong horn sections, which they totally brought full on! I had done a ton of research for a band as that was my #1 priority (making sure my guests danced all night long!) and I heard nothing but great things about D Play! They were SO easy to communicate with from the very beginning and their professionalism and promptness was unmatched. Sadly, the date we ended up choosing didn’t work for them but John gave me contact info for their sister band, GOT Groove (who is also amazing!) and John sent me all the information I needed along with the proposal within the same day. DPlay was the highlight of our reception! I've never seen a dance poor packed that early in the night! They were so much fun and so talented! They even played *NSYNC and Britney and let me dance and sing on stage with them! My mom still mentions them and asks about them almost on a daily basis!! Not all of our vendors blew us away... but our band definitely did! I wanted to cry when they played their last song. Our wedding was a BLAST, and I give a lot of the credit to D Play! From the second guests began arriving, to the very last moment when we left, they had people on the dance floor having the time of their lives! Their interaction with the crowd was amazing, and they even got my husband and I on the stage with them. Everyone I have spoken to since the wedding has had rave reviews and can’t wait to find out another time they will get to hear them play. Guests of all ages told me they loved the mix of older classics to the newest favorites! We booked D Play for a destination wedding in NOLA.....really hard to do from halfway across the country. John answered all texts, emails, phone calls quickly, very fun to talk to and extremely easy to work with.

D Play can play a wide variety of songs.. hip hop and R&B, 80's, 90's, motown, country, the current hits of today, and more. We submitted a song list and they played exactly what my husband and I submitted, and then some! Me and my bridesmaids were even pulled on stage to sing "Proud Mary" with the band and it was so fun! The pictures are great too! D Play helped out with our first dances, cake cutting, bouquet toss, garter toss, etc by announcing the events of our reception and acting like at true host for our guests. Towards the end of the night, we were having so much fun with them... D Play gladly accepted when we asked them to stay an extra 30 minutes for a few more songs! All the members were so fun to work with, professional, and truly talented musicians. Johnny was easy to communicate with and everyone worked hand-in-hand with our other vendors to make sure our night went off perfectly! D Play will not disappoint, I highly recommend!

Had this band for an office party on a recommendation. About 300 guests in attendance and the band kept them dancing all night. Great experience.

My wife and I were so fortunate to have booked D Play for our wedding! Finding the perfect wedding band was a top priority for our wedding. D Play brings young vibes, brass instruments, a great music list to select from, and were flexible with whichever music genres we preferred. Also, our wedding was at Rip Van Winkle Gardens near New Iberia and D Play was able to travel from New Orleans to our outdoor reception. From the booking process to the wedding night, D Play surpassed all expectations and executed a performance that we will never forget! Our family and friends couldn't stop talking about how great D Play was and that dance floor couldn't hold the amount of people dancing once D Play took the stage.

As a profession, I actually do live paintings at weddings and have seen my fare share of bands perform. Hands down, D Play is the best band that I have seen play at any reception and would highly recommend them for anyone getting married!

We had D Play at our wedding. Everything about them was phenomenal. First of all, John was very responsive and professional with my numerous questions. Next they have a very large and diverse playlist, and they also accommodated and worked with my requests. D Play did an amazing job, they kept the music and the party going to entire evening. My guests from all ages and backgrounds were dancing and engaging with the music and band. I without a doubt recommend that if you want excellent entertainment at your event, D Play will provide that for you.

D Play was INCREDIBLE! The absolute best! Our friends are still talking about how great our band was. John went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He is professional, attentive to details, and really made us feel comfortable with all of our wedding details involving the band, mic rentals, artists for the ceremony, and second line band. They covered it all, and we are so appreciative for their help!

One thing to note is I was planning our wedding from out of town, and I never actually heard D Play live ahead of time- we only saw their awesome videos and read reviews. What everyone says is true, and you will be beyond pleased with this awesome band. So go ahead and get them booked!

I'd would say D Play was the perfect wedding band! The 2nd line was killer! Our guests said over and over how great the band was. They have amazing energy and very engaging. Which will have your dance floor packed all night. Do it...BOOK D Play. Thank me later :)

DPlay is AMAZING!

All of our guests kept complimenting our choice of band and music. As everyone knows, a band can make or break a wedding, and there is no doubt that DPlay helped make our wedding. Every member of the band was extremely talented and entertained the entire evening. From the beginning, DPlay was responsive and professional while planning the music to our wedding and we would definitely hire them again! Hopefully we can do that during our 10 year anniversary. I would give them 5 out of 5 stars all day. We just really loved their music and how they interacted with our guests! DPlay really cared about our wedding and making it fun and perfect. If you decide to hire DPlay for your event, you would be making a great choice.

We were 100 % satisfied with D-Play!! D-Play met with the bride and groom early on to discuss their taste in music and give suggestions. They have an extensive play list and were willing to learn new songs for the wedding. They provided a keyboard and guitarist for the rooftop ceremony at The Chicory and then played for 3 full hours at the reception. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone had a great time. And to finish things off, the band picked up their full horn section and provided a Second Line Parade to Lucy's! The wedding/reception was a great success, in large part due to the awesomeness of D-Play!!!

D Play made my reception so much fun!! John is awesome and really cares about your personal taste in music. The band is great at getting people involved and so many of my guests came up to me at the end of the night and wanted to tell me how amazing the band was. We also used them for our second line parade and I am so glad that we did. They were incredible and we had an amazing time

The only advice I would give is to book D Play! My husband and I absolutely loved having D Play at our wedding! Johnny is great to work with and ensured I had everything I wanted. Our dance floor stayed packed all night and D Play did a great job of reading our crowd and making sure all of our guests were having a great time. Overall our wedding was perfect and I am grateful we picked D Play to be a part of it!

5 stars simply does not suffice. It has been over a month now and I still have people telling me "I'm pretty sure that was the best wedding I've ever been to, including my own" closely followed by "That band was just incredible!" I knew our wedding would be great because its all about the mood and the music and we had D Play...my wife and I talked them up for a few months beforehand and did they ever deliver. I couldn't be more thankful to D Play and the AMAZING job they did (including the second line so you can stop searching for that...oh, and the ceremony music). We had contacted other bands, second line bands and ceremony musicians who hemmed and hawed at us because we were planning for New Year's Eve in the French Quarter but Johnny was like Hell yeah let's do this we're totally in. We are pretty easy going people and just asked that there be a couple of songs played, and a couple of songs to not be played, and then they just took care of the rest and it was unreal, you can really place your trust in them. Super easy to work with. They even learned Adele's "Hello" and it had only been out for like a month, and we didn't even ask them to but it certainly added a wow factor when they belted that out. The whole reception was singing to it. They had a great read on the crowd and everything was timed perfectly, played perfectly, and there was no empty space on the dance floor from when we had our first dance until the last song played. I'm from New England originally and everyone just uses DJs for the most part up there but my wife is from Louisiana (we're in New Orleans) and even though I was hesitant, she insisted we use a band and thank God she did. I was totally sold on D Play in about 10 minutes when we saw them live in BR. Anyway, if you've read this far into this review then I think you know where myself and a bunch of hugely happy couples stand. If you haven't called or emailed Johnny yet, you need to stop reading these reviews and go do that instead.

D Play was fantastic. They were above and beyond - I'd give 6 stars if I could. John is super easy to work with, friendly, and knows New Orleans and the vibe well. The band is flexible and can play many different genres and learn new things quickly, and the energy is crazy high. Guests of ours of still raving about how much fun the band was, AND they do a Second Line as part of a package. Get in there!!

D Play was AMAZING on so many levels. They were easy to work with and SO much fun! We have a huge crowd stay and tons of dancing thanks to D Play! They also have a lot of new hits which was fun. Have an expansive song list to choose from. I HIGHLY recommend D Play!

D-Play killed it for our wedding. We were very happy with their professionalism before, during, and after the wedding. We were allowed to pick out playlist prior to the event and they played every song to perfection. They even learned a few songs specifically for us! I definitely recommend D-Play for any wedding or event.

D-Play Band was unbelievably AMAZING! We couldn’t have been happier with John Hozey and the rest of the talented singers and musicians in the band. My daughter’s destination wedding was at the Ritz Carlton New Orleans a few weeks ago and D-Play Band performed at the reception and also did the second line parade following the reception. D-Play led the entire wedding party and all of the guests dancing through the streets of the French Quarter accompanied by police escorts. All of our guests are still raving about how great the band was and how much fun they had at the reception and the parade. John was a delight to work with. He followed up quickly on all emails and made us feel totally comfortable that everything would be perfect and it was. The vocalists were some of the best I have heard. They even got down off the stage onto the dance floor and sang and danced with my daughter during one of the numbers. They had the crowd dancing the entire evening. The repertoire of songs they can play is huge and they will learn a song if you ask them. I can’t say enough good things about the band. We felt so fortunate to have found them and know you will too. And in addition to being so talented, they are really nice people to get to know and work with! I would definitely travel to see them perform again in the future! Don’t look any further—you have found the best dance band in the area!

D Play was incredible! My husband and I can't express this enough. It was money well spent to have such a talented and accommodating band. Johnny was so easy to work with and he really took the time to get to know us and what we wanted for the night. The lead singers interacted with the crowd and really kept the party going. My guests said over and over again how great the band was and we agree 100%! We couldn't have asked for more. They exceeded our expectations and there's a reason why they win the awards they do. We loved having D Play at our wedding. They were super helpful and accommodating with all of our requests. Everyone at the wedding was very complimentary of them and found them to be an exceptional wedding band. I picked them just based on reviews and I'm really happy I did. DPlay was by far the best band. They definitely made my wedding a night to remember. Both singers in the band were awesome! John was very helpful in making all the plans and picking out the list of songs the band would play at the reception. He was also a great MC. One of the best decisions we made was hiring D Play as our wedding band. They have energy, professionalism, and so much talent. Their questionnaire helped us choose the perfect songs for our reception.. from our first dance as a couple.. to the final song of the night.

On the night of the wedding, they were set up and ready to go in plenty of time. They made sure everything was running smoothly and right on schedule. They also listened to all of our requests and made sure they played the songs we wanted to hear. Whether it was slow, romantic ballads or upbeat 90's jams, they hit all the right notes all night long. The dance floor was packed from start to finish. The band worked the crowd, getting everyone pumped up and singing along.

After the wedding, we heard so many rave reviews about D Play from our family and friends who attended the reception. The band was one of the highlights of the night, and they helped make our special day even more memorable.
