How sweet it is!
We had a wonderful experience with D+D Cake Designs! We met with her to talk about overall ideas and so she could get to know us and Diane listened to all of the things that we were interested in having. We had a tasting on Easter Sunday of 2018. I remember thinking, wow, shes going to meet with us on a holiday simply because that was a day that worked for us! She made us cupcake samples of all her cakes with some of the fillings and frostings that she liked together, and it was a really relaxed nice time. We never felt rushed to make a decision and Diane kept in touch with us over the months of planning and we made our choices, a wedding cake with italian cream filling and buttercream frosting and then a grooms cake of chocolate pound cake with hazelnut filling and chocolate buttercream. On the wedding day, I stepped out of the bridal suite a moment and talked to Diane, it was so nice to see her again! The cakes were wonderfully created, she did an amazing job with our vision and they tasted great too! We got awesome instructions for freezing the top layer and really look forward to that!-

Exquisite Quality Wedding Cake!!!
Working with Diane was such a wonderful experience. What impressed me right off was that she took the time to make fresh cake samples and didn’t just go get what was left in the back. Her professionalism, flexibility and demeanor were outstanding through the whole process. The cake came out beautifully from both a design and taste standpoint. Miss Diane was absolutely fantastic! We had a VERY unconventional design that my husband created and she did a fabulous job! We had a nerdy cake with a LOT of added details and she knocked it out of the park. Never batting an eye at how difficult it would be to create. The cake was not only beautiful and unforgettable, it was delicious! -

Where to start....we can't say enough good things about Diane as she was wonderful to work with. She has a lot of knowledge and gave great ideas. The cake looked just like the photo we showed her. To top it off, Diane made her own marshmallow fondant that tasted amazing. We choose 3 different flavors of cake because we couldn't decide on just one (they all tasted so good at the sampling)!! Every layer of our cake tasted SUPER and the cake was moist and rich. Overall, the cake exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be any happier with Diane's work. -

Diane is very aware of the stress a wedding can create but goes out of her was to accommodate her customers in a professional way to make things easy. No box cake, I'm talking about made from scratch delicious home made goodness. I wish I could post a picture of my cake and my husbands grooms cake. In Jan. of this year 2016 I had the stressful task of finding a baker for my daughters wedding cake. After multiple meetings with many of the local bakeries around Jacksonville I was blessed with the pleasure of meeting Ms. Diane! I came to her with many ideas of what I wanted and the budget I needed to be in. Ms. Diane eased my mind instantly! She worked with my ideas and kept budget where no others could! On March 19, wedding day, Ms. Diane delivered my vision! Not only an absolutely beautiful wedding cake but the BEST tasting wedding cake that my guest (who are still talking about it) and myself have tasted! I am so glad that I was able to put a slice away for later because there was NOTHING left! Every bit was gobbled up! Truly Amazing! Ms. Diane's knowledge and passion for what she does was displayed in that wedding cake! Ms. Diane, you my dear are a true blessing!. I can not tell you enough how THANKFUL I am to you for such a FANTASTIC job you did! THANK YOU!!! -

Diane is the BEST!!! She is the most accommodating person who is always looking to please the bride. I must say she is also a natural artisan with her cake designs and the cake and was simply amazing. It was so moist and light. The pineapple butter cream filling was phenomenal. And the absolute sophistication and beauty was beyond words.
I will be using her for all of my cakes and I recommend anyone who wants the perfect cake both design and light fluffy texture and AMAZING flavor with the most accommodating host around to use D&D cake designs. Diane and David Thank you and I will be talking to you soon for my next cake order. -

This company was the only one who had my flavor and may i say OMG it was amazing, it melted in your mouth! everyone at my wedding talked about how good it was! The designer herself is super sweeet! My wedding cake picture is actually one here, i could believe that, its the precious moments topper! my theme was disney and she nailed it! she would call or email me to tell her ideas or a change she would possibly have to make! Best cake I've even had and usually at wedding they aren't that good, but please book with her you won't regret it! -

D&D made 50th anniversary reception cakes for us. Diane went above and beyond from the very beginning. She was always quick to respond, detailed in her answers, and always accommodating. She has a God-given talent in decorating. We ordered 3 cakes: vanilla, chocolate, and lemon. All three were homemade and delicious - not too sweet but just right! I am a little picky having grown up in the home of a cake decorator, but Diane exceeded my expectations on every level. What are you waiting on? Order your cake now! -

Ms. Diane was professional, she provided friendly service, and most import the cake was delicious. She pays attention to every detail and everything you ask for, because it shows in her work. From the colors to the elegant design it was gorgeous. My guest along with the most important the guest of honors really enjoyed the cake. I can say it was truly made with love. Mrs. Diane was awesome through our entire process.She was flexible with her time and wanted to make sure that all of your questions were answered. Her level of professionalism is amazing. She had an anointed spirit. She set up our cake tasting and won my husband over. He loves cake and can be very critical, however he are all the samples and smiled happily. Ms Diane also worked on her own time to create a designator us that was cohesive to our decor. D&Dcake designs will deliver on the type of product that you desire. We were just thrilled with Diane at D & D Cake Design. Our groom only liked white cake with vanilla UNTIL he tried Diane's cakes. He's a convert now and that speaks volumes as to the quality of her products. Going to use her for the grooms birthday cake from now on! -

Mrs. Diane recently provided service for my wedding cake. She is a wonderful lady and was a pleasure to work with. The whole experience was perfect from picking a design to the day of service. We were scheduled to move to Hawaii and made a last minute decision to have our wedding before we left. We had around 20 days to put the whole thing together and I had no clue what I was doing. Ms Diane was so helpful and was there personally to set up and make sure everything was taken care of. The display was beautiful. Plus everything tasted amazing!! We had cupcakes, as well, and many of our guests admitted to eating two or three. My Confession: Me and my husband already ate our anniversary cake too!! I know your supposed to wait but we couldn't help it!! It was so good! -

We contacted Dianne with d and d cake designs for a steampunk wedding cake with less than a week notice. The service was just perfect, and the cake amazing. The bride and groom loved it, it was our gift to them, the rest of the party guests also loved the cake, it looked beautiful and it tasted really good too. Dianne really did a fantastic Job, she fit us in in such a short time and she nailed the look of the cake. We were very pleased with the entire transaction. We would definitely do business again in the future -

Miss Diane is a very professional business woman. She gave us several options to choose from and we had a cake tasting several months before to see the quality of her product. The tasting was very helpful and we were able to make good selections for the event. Her product was very moist and tasty. Usually wedding cakes are dry and very tasteless, that was definitely not the case with this establishment. She bakes an awesome cake. We had the chocolate with white chocolate filling, the Italian cream with the traditional cream cheese filling and the Red Velvet with the cream cheese. All were excellent and I received many favorable comments. That is exactly what you want when you have family and friends in for an event like a wedding. You will not be disappointed!!! -

Several months has pass since their wedding in March and I could not hold off any longer waiting for their response on your comment page. Diane was the third appointment I had for my wedding cake and within moments, I was sure she was the best. She was the most prepared, kind, and had the most delicious cakes and her prices were amazing. Once I "hired" her, I received a thank you letter and emails updating me when she practiced my cake..YES, PRACTICED!! I do not know one company that practices before the cake is made. Diane did a wonderful job with my wedding and grooms cake! I chose a previously created cake she had done and she was able to replicate it to the T. Diane was very responsive. I never waited over 24 hours for an e-mail response. Diane take great pride in her work and I would trust her with any special occasion. Most importantly the cake tasted wonderful and I got many compliments throughout the evening and after the wedding. Diane is very affordable and we got quite the bang for our buck! I would recommend Diane for any wedding!

Diane is just amazing! I purchased the cake as a wedding gift for my brother and his new wife. Wanting it to be a surprise I did not know exactly what they liked or wanted. I searched the internet for designs and ideas. I found several beautiful cakes that I just loved. I consulted with Diane about the cakes I had choosen. She stated she was able to duplicate any of them that I choose! What talent! The cake that I choose looked nice online but once Diane presented me the final product it was absolutely STUNNING! Her attention to detail was flawless and the cake presented so well. It was the main attraction at the wedding, other than the Bride of course!
Not only did it look amazing, but the taste was amazing as well! Vanilla Butter Cream Frosting and the cake had a Raspberry filling! YUMMMMM!!! -

I'm proud to say that it has been seven years since my husband and I were married. We were blessed to find someone like Diane to create our wedding and groom's cakes. The entire process - from first meeting to the final product - was so wonderfully executed that I was pleased to find out she now had a website on which I could rave about her delicious cakes. Even now, I remember what a pleasant experience ordering from her was, and most importantly, how divine both of the cakes tasted. The groom's cake was the most decadent chocolate I have ever tasted, and it was cleverly designed to represent a golf theme. The wedding cake was equally as scrumptious. I asked for a less traditionally styled cake. It was separately floating hearts, each elegantly but simply decorated, and adorned with fresh flowers. The cake was very moist and fresh with the best buttercream icing I have ever had. It was so good when we tasted our first bites during the cake cutting, that we both made the time to get an entire piece during the reception.
If my husband and I stilled lived anywhere near North Florida I would hire Diane for all of my cake needs. She is an elegant, sweet lady who takes great pride in her art of cake making. She truly cares about providing the best product and worry free experience for her brides. -

D&D Cakes makes the the best tasting cakes I've ever had in my life. The cake I had was a red velvet cake with cream cheese icing and it was very moist and rich. The cake only lasted a day in my household before the enitre thing was gone. Diane has great customer service and is very passionate about her work. I have ordered several cakes from Ms. Diane for several different occasions from birthdays, graduations, holidays and a wedding. Until I met Ms. Diane I preferred ice cream cakes to store/supermarkets cakes.
Her creative ability is awe inspiring. She decorates cakes so elegantly you almost don't want to cut them. The flavor of the cakes leaves nothing to be desired; one piece leads to another. Ms. Diane is very soft spoken and a very good listener. She aims to please and always delivers an excellent product.

Chocolate Raven is the name of the first cake I tatest by D&D Cake Designs. I have never tasted anything like it!! I actually dreamt about it after eating it... This was a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and a raspberry filling. I later had D&D's butter pound cake with vanilla frosting and raspberry filling. It was so elegant, (topped with an exquisite edible handmade tiarra) light, and melts in your mouth. One of my friends ordered a D&D cake and said she had a couple of guests actually hide a piece for later!! Needless to say there was not a single piece left and the end of the day. I have never tasted anything so mouthwatering. Diane of D&D is so sweet, her prices the best I have found, very timely and professional and she pours her heart into her cakes. I am now spoiled and can't eat other cakes with a good attitude. lol! -

Unfortunately, I can't recommend D&D Cake Designs. My experience with Diane was disappointing. My fiance and I went to her for a taste testing and loved the samples. They were moist and had a homemade feel to them. We both agreed that she would be the one to make our cake. I had high expectations for the taste of the cake, but not necessarily when it came to the design and structure of the cake. I saw pictures on her website of cakes that she had previously done and was realistic with what she could deliver. I knew my cake would not look like the ones that you see in wedding magazines. However, our biggest concern was with the taste of the cake. Overall, I spent about 2 1/2 hours of face time with Diane discussing the details of the cake to make sure that we were on the same page. Fast forward to my wedding day. I came down to look at the cake and saw that it was a little lopsided (not sure when or how it happened) and the color of my flowers didn't come close to matching the swatch that I sent to her. I wasn't really impressed, but still held out hope that it would taste great. My husband and I cut the bottom layer of the cake and it had a orange like color to it and no strawberries and cream filling, which she failed to mention until a day or two after the wedding. On top of that, the bottom layer was a bit dry, nothing like the sample we tasted. I knew there was an issue when my husband complained. I have to be honest and say that the second layer tasted better than the bottom layer, but still not close to what we had at our sampling. All of my vendors received positive feedback from my guests, all except for the cake. I had mentioned to all of my friends about how good the cake was going to taste, so it was a big let down. Diane and I spoke about our concerns and basically I feel as thought she she didn't take responsibility. She offered to send me a $13 check for the filling, which I didn't think was a reasonable comprise and in good business. -

I would give zero stars if I could very unprofessional....need a grooms cake by May 27th as a surprise for my fiancé and I've spoke to Diane multiple times and my mother stopped by to do a tasting and paid for it. But when it came down to meeting with her to make the deposit she kept on putting us off. Finally she said the check can be dropped off to her PO Box but didn't give the PO Box number. My mother tied to contact her multiple times to get the PO Box number. And when she finally got back to my mother she told her the deposit wasn't made in enough time and she can't help her and had to nerve to tell her good luck. Now I need this cake literally in 10 days and now I'm scrambling to figure it I'll even be able to get it made. Horrible experience and I will be letting everyone in the Jacksonville area how unprofessional she is!!!!!!!! -
